File BPM Webservice IDOC .........Error in BPM workflow(Sync send step)

Hi all,
I have the same type scenario that is file initiates the bpm that invokes the Webservice.the file data goes into bpm as the input data of the webservice and webservice gives the response and then the web-service response is mapped to
idoc and finally posted to R/3.
The interface sI created:
1.outbound Async -
>for file
2. Abstract async----
>bpm reciever step.
3.Abstract sync----
>bpm sync send step.
4.inbound sync -
>for the webservice to recieve the reqst and to send the response to Abstract sync
5.Abstract async----
>to send the data out of BPM
6.inbound async----
for idoc
created 3 communication channel.
1.file adapter: sender
2.SOAP adapter: Recv
3.IDOC adapter: Recv
created 3 reciever determination
Business process instance in ID
reciever agreement(2)
interface determaination
But getting a problem in BPM.
I think the scenario is logically correct as I have seen previous
SDN suggestions.
But getting the problem in BPM's sync step.and the SOAP rec channel is also inactive.in BPM workflow I can see the recv step is getting file req data but after that in the sync send step
its stuck up.getting error.
Please sir suggest me.

Remove the interface you created for Idoc that is inbound async one. use the imported Idoc itself as the interface and also as the message type. Everything else looks good though i did not really evaluate ur ID configuration..

Sync Send step in BPM.

hi all,
My BPM flow starts with a single message that I split using a message map into a list of messages into a block which is foreach mode to be sent synchronously one by one splitted messages to an Oracle stored procedure via the JDBC adapter. After the mapping step, the flow goes into a ParForEach block that executes the sync Send step to the JDBC adapter, and then has a Container Action that collects the responses.
My problem is that BPM seems to not like executing a synchronous send from inside a block. The first execution of the send step will produce an error in the BPM flow.

BPM does support SYNCSend step inside a Block....but not for ForEach/ ParForEach mode of execution.
I think you are following this procedure from quite a long time.....sync send inside a foreach block.

Sync send step in BPM fails and cant be resend XI

I have a file ->JDBC(Sync)->file scenario, with a BPM, having a synchronous send ........ sending and receiving message from a SQL Server,
the problem is ........... sometimes the synchronous send to the JDBC fails, bcoz of purely database connectivity issue, but then the whole scenario has to be rerun, coz sync send doesnt keep message persistent........ and we cant resend the failed Sync send step,
pls help .... its a production system

in this case it means data lost............means not persistent in the BPM
do u think my design is faulty,

BPM Sync Send Step & Correlation

Hi Experts,
BPM Scenario: Step wise
1. Receive-1 from one sender
2. Send-1 it syncu2019ly to SAP using proxy and receive the response msg
3. N: 1 transformation b/w request message and response message to generate a target message
4. Send-2 the target message to a receiver
Though the scenario seems to be simple, I have a doubt about the sync send step.
How does the sync send step works in detail?
For every message the Receive-1 receives, a new process instance will be generated. When the message is sent to SAP syncu2019ly, how does it relate the response to the particular process instance?
For example, if 2 BPM process instances are created for two messages the Receive-1 step receives. However say, the second message is relatively less in size; in-turn consumes less time to execute in SAP and reaches XI well before the response for first message.
Which process instance will it be related to?
Please explain!

Sync Send step after transformation step in BPM

Hi Gurus,
I have an interface where I am loading the data into an Oracle database and getting the response back (insertcount) from the database. Based on the response, I have to execute a stored procedure in another sync send step.
I am doing perfectly alright until the transformation step. The sync send step after this step has the following entries.
Sync interface: MI_LG_SP_INPUT_ABS
Request Message: sp_lg_rec
Response Message: sp_lg_snd
While doing 'check(F7)', I am getting the following error.
<b>Interface MI_LG_SP_INPUT_ABS for element sp_lg_poc_step2 is not abstract/asynchronous</b>
The request message for this sync send step is the target message of the transformation step.
This error is bugging me since 2 days. Please help me with this.

I know what I did now. For my send sync interface which is MI_LG_SP_INPUT_ABS, I have unnecessarily created a container element and which caused this problem. From your post, I rechecked it and found that I don't need a container element for my abs/sync interface as I already have container elements for request and response which are abs/asynch.
I gave you full points, thinking that you will come for my rescue in the future (just kidding!!!).

File to multiple IDOCs error

Dear All,
        I am trying to create customer master using FILE-To-Multiple IDocs.Idoc generated with 2 errors.
1.First one is status 51...Specify the Account Group.
2.Second one is it's generating only single idoc(not multiple).
I have mapped Account Group source field to KTOKD(Idoc).is this mapping problem?I have given IDOC occurence unbounded but not generating multiple idocs.below is my message mapping structure.

    I would like to know whether you have mapped your customer_master(1..unbounded) node to IDOC(1..unbounded) node???Please check it once.Depending on that only the multiple IDOCs will be generated. I think it is mapping problem only. Have you changed the occurrence of IDOC to unbounded by exporting & then reimporting it to external definitions???? I've already done it & i got multiple IDOcs generated. Please check it and let me know the response so that I can help.

Hi Sudheer,
Just the check the message mapping. Check the parant node mappings to create two different messages.
It seems that the mapping done on IDOC Node to create the IDOCs is getting failed.
Copy the content from inbound payload and test it in message mapping.
Remember, when you load the test data into your test tab you will get the error of structure mismatch coz in your mapping you have additional message.
Do the change with original data as shown below befor testing.

IDOC errors Notify thru Workflow

Hello Experts,
I want to report an error notification; if an Idoc fails. What are the steps for this Configuration?
Also if I want to sent some notification on success/fail status of Idoc, how do I configure workflow for the same. What are the steps involved here? Please provide your expert guidence.

Hi Vishal,
      You can use Bussiness Object (IDOC* and F4) and the event available to trigger the work flow from which you can then send a mail to the concerned person.
      If you need to do this through any program then get all the error IDOC from EDIDS table and can send a mail through 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'. Then you can schedule this program periodically which will be sending a mail.
      But both differs, if you need to notify whenever the an IDOC is created then you have to go for WOrkflow or if it enough if you report on DAily or hourly basis then you can use the second option.

Idoc Error Handling through workflow

I want to send the Error Notification for a particular person for whom the task orders is assigned in the organization chart.
What all the things I need to do.
I have created the org chart and I have assigned the task to a user under a position.
I have linked the Idoc error event in Tcode SWETYPV .
What all the things I am supposed to do.

Please go to transction WE20, pick the Partner / Idoc that you would like to assign the Org. chart to.
Then you should configure "post processing :permitted agent" Tab with the Organizational unit.
Then double click the process code associated with the Idoc Type and click the button next to the Function Module associated with this process code.
Check IDoc Tab and see if Stanard Event INPUTERROROCCURRED is present in the field called start event.

File to multiple IDOC split without BPM

Hi expert,
I have a flat file to IDOC scenario. In flat file, I have thousands of rows. Each row need to create one IDOC. In IDOC, I have 3 segments(seg2 is the child of seg1, seg3 is the child of seg2). Each field in flat file will be mapped to the same name in IDOC. Here is my example structure:

I mapped row to IDOC. It did create multiple IDOCs. But each IDOC only contain seg1. Then I mapped row to seg2 and seg3 node. The first IDOC has three segments and the rest still only have seg1. And in first IDOC, the seg1 is filled correct. seg2 and seg3 have multiple records. Can anyone tell me how I do mapping without using BPM for this case to make each IDOC has one seg1, one seg2 and one seg3?

Hi,
Your issue come from certainly to the fact that in source file, for at least one row, there is a segN which is missing (see occurence "0..1").
And so after that, you have a bad behavior to the target Idoc segment, due to the fact you did not manage properly the Context. In Message Mapping, use the right click to display your context, and you will see a difference of context between your source and the desired target.
the error certainly appears for a sub-segment which exist whereas its highest level is missing (in your source).

IDoc error handling via WorkFlow. What is missing?

My problem is when an error occured I don't receive anything in the Workplace.
I did the following:
When I created the process code I gave an object type(based on IDOCAPPL) for the function module's IDoc part. For the start event I gave the INPUTERROROCCURED event and for the end event the INPUTFINISHED.
I created a standard task where the triggering event is the object type->inputerroroccured and the terminating event is object type->inputfinished and the object method is the object type->inputforeground. I use a standard role with a "Z" function module to determine the agent.
I tested the role with an IDoc number and it worked. It gave me back a position where is my userid is the only id. The concistency check shows me 2 red line: the missing IDoc Packet section (I think it's not needed) and at the Role assignment (I think it's good so I don't understand this).
So, Do you have any idea what is wrong?

Can you tell how you are actually raising that event .?
I assume that you have created a process code and attached it to some function module and therein wherever you are getting error(when you want to trigger workflow) you are raising an event for your object type and its event .
Since i cant check out your code , it guess you can try setting your task as General Task first to just get sure whether the event linkage is active for event or not and your workflow if at all is really getting triggered or not . If these things work fine with out then certainly your role determination function module needs to be checked.

IDoc error handling using workflows

Hi,
I have a requirement to generate IDocs in the Source system and process them in the target system. The IDoc message type is HRMD_ABA. And I am using standard processes to generate them and post them using PFAL and RBDAPP01 program respectively.
All this is working fine. But now I need to include error handling in the source and the target systems which would send mails to a User's Outlook mailbox whenever there is an error. I mean to say, we need more functionality than just monitor them through WE05 transaction.
Can any one tell me how this can be achieved. I have been looking into the program RSEIDOCA which would send workflows to SAP Inbox, but I need to send it to Outlook Inbox.
And I have heard that there is a workflow process which would help me to do this.
All your answers would be highly appreciated.

IDOC Error handling using workflow for Inbound process.

I have a custom idoc which I am processing using a custom inbound function module with the help of a custom process code. I have made the config in BD51/bd67/We42/We57and doing the coding in the inbound function module to handle workflow. But i am still unable to get the workflow item in my inbox. I have set my userid in the partner profile as the agent to receieve the workflow.
Is there any other config that needs to be done vis-a-vis workflow ? like..assignement of some standard task,etc etc ? The message type I am using for the IDoc is zWMMBXY .

IDOC error processing using WORKFLOW

Hi ,
I tried to post an error IDOC of message type FIDCC2 using "INPUTFORGROUND" method of Idoc object IDOCFIDCC2.I am using foreground from error for processing the idoc from the error status screen. For some Idoc it is going to the application and I can correct data and for some Idoc it just creates a message "Error during application input" . It is not calling the application dialog . Does anyone have answer for this? ,It would be a great help.

Thanks for your reply . The message says application error ie it is calling application and trying to post.
For some error this calls the application in foreground and processing. Is there processing status of IDOC that it will not allow to process foreground.
