File Dialog not shown fully

I am using Zaurus CVM in Linux Platform to develop java application for Sofcomp machine.I have a problem with File Dialog. The following code:
FileDialog f=new FileDialog(this,"Select a Directory",FileDialog.LOAD);
f.show();
While using this code,it doesn't show complete Dialog Box.at left and bottom the box cut off.
How to resolve this problem .Pl advice to show complete File Dialog Box to browse the file.

Have you searched the forums for this?  It has come up several times before.
The reason you can't is that the function brings up the Windows file dialog, which is basically a part of the operating system and only has context within the PC that is running the VI.  It is beyond LabVIEW's control to web publish.
Look through the other message threads that the search brings up for some ideas to work around it.

  • Visual studio 2003 DIALOG - DIALOGEX dialog not shown

    Hi,
when using visual studio 2003 to edit resources, it changes DIALOG to DIALOGEX automatically for some reason (even when editing only the text on a button in the dialog). When we call 'Modal' from ADM's Dialog suite, the dialog is not shown in illustrator cs2 (but it does disable all menu's! So illustrator hangs).
This happens only when the dialog is declared in the rc file as DIALOGEX, not when it's declared as DIALOG.
Is this something in our code, or a illustrator bug, or something else? Any way to fix this (I can edit all DIALOGEX back to DIALOG by hand, but that's not a very good solution to me). Or is there a way to stop VC++ 2003 changing DIALOG to DIALOGEX?

Yeah, this has been a problem for a long time. I just hand edit the file (including the DIALOGEX -> DIALOG), since as you point out, you need to alter the FONT line anyways (which I just entirely remove).
At one point I had a segex pre-build step that simply did all this for more, but somewhere along the line this got dropped from my project. I've filed a bug about this on a couple of CS* betas, but no dice as yet. The last time I did so, it was suggested to me to try EVE, which I will when I get a chance.

  • File Dialog not appearing in web form after Note:74140.1

Hello, I have implemented the source given in Note:74140.1 to replace the get_file_name function that displays the file dialog box. However I still am not able to see the dialog that the JavaBean should display. I am relativly new at linking JavaBeans with forms, so there might be something that I am missing.
I have created the class files for FDialog and FDialogPJC and put them in an ear file. I have also modified the fiels server.xml and default-web-site.xml to include the ear file. The respective code for a button has been added to the button trigger in the form, as well as the code for the JavaBean.
So far this has been unsuccessful. If you have a suggestion, your help is much appreciated.
    Justin.

the problem is that when I type JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean when working in JDeveloper, it cannot locate the java class file JDialogPJC.class. This happens when I put both the JDialogPJC and JDialog classes in the jar file and put the jar file in the forms90/java directory.
However, if I just put both class files (not contained in a jar file) in the forms90/java directory, and I specify the JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean, it works fine.
I would like to be able to use the jar file instead of a whole load of class files sitting in the directory.

  • File numbers not shown in Photos

When iPhoto displayed thumbnails the file number was always shown which was useful in selecting a specific image.  The numbers are not shown in Photos. Can I change this?

When iPhoto displayed thumbnails the file number was always shown which was useful in selecting a specific image.  The numbers are not shown in Photos. Can I change this?
Photos can display the titles of the photos below the thumbnails. But while iPhoto used the filenames with the file numbers as titles as a default title, if no title had been assigned, Photos does not do that.  Filenames are only shown in the Info panel for a photo. You have to copy the filename to the title filed manually.
A posted an AppleScript to help with this task as a user tip, see this link:  Photos for Mac: Batch Changing the Titles to the Filename
For a discussion on how to improve this script, see:  Re: Re: Where are photo file names?

  • Save File-Dialog not responding

In every document-style app (Pages, TextEdit etc.) the save file dialog suggests iCloud as default destination to save to. When I click the Drop-Down to select another location the whole application hangs and shows me the marvelous marble of death.
Is there anybody else experiencing this? How could this be solved?
(Behaviour seen on 10.8.2 but also on 10.8.1)

to make things clearer a screenshot of the dialog I'm talking about. this happens everywhere such a generic save file dialog appears.

  • Some files are not shown in my airport disk

well, so far i'm impressed with my airport extreme, very stable and amazingly fast, but....
while testing access to my lacie hd over my airport connection i noticed some of my files where not available, initially i thought it was due to folder properties or corrupted files, but when i connect the hd via firewire all items are visible and i can open them without problems.
any suggestion to solve this problem??
    PowerbookG4-17   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I have a similar problem with drives attached to my Airport Extreme. The files on the drives are visible when I access them from my MacBook, but not from my XP laptop - no files visible at all on either drive. If I then connect them up directly to the XP box using USB, then all files are visible once again.
Any assistance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • File dialogs not allowing http:

    Hi all,
Hoping someone out there might know of a way to force the OS to allow me to specify http:// on a file open/save as dialog.
E.g. if I'm in word and I want to open a file from a remote location, on windows I could enter http:// and the rest of the URL.. With my mac however as soon as I type the : it converts to a - so I end up with http-//
I hope this is something I can fix.
Thanks in advance for any help

You can access files on a WebDAV html or FTP server (or any other file protocol) only if you mount the remote filesystem locally. To do that use the finder and select Go To -> Connect with server from the menu. Enter your remote address and then select the mounted volume from the file dialog in your application.
    Cheers,
    Jazz

  • MP3 file comments not shown in iTunes, but are in Windows programs

Ok, am orgaising my music collection. I use iTunes on Mac v7.6, Leopard
There is no comment shown in the itunes for the MP3 files, but if I goto Win XP (boot camp) and either do a list in explorer, or use a program like tag & rename or MonkeyMedia then I can see comments there.
    1) why is this
2)how can I get iTunes to show them properly
    3) how can I list them in Mac, so I can delete them
    please help
    thanks

Ok so without the file you say you cant tell - how will I be able to check? ie if you had the file(s) how would you check and I will use your procedure.
But if they are windows comments how come Media rage and Musorg see them and not iTunes? In fact if they are "windows" comments how do they how in Media rage and Musorg and not iTunes - i just been thing about that. Surely if they were it wouldnt show up in these.
Also in Media Rage and Musorg, there is only 1 comment field as in iTues but Rage and Musorg show the comment whereas iTunes does not.
Is there an app that can show whats actually embedded into the MP3 file? ie the tag details or something? Windows or Mac to see what is going on?
I will send you a file, but would like to know how I check myself, its bugging me!!!
    cheers

  • After a crash with Win XP Professional, I am missing all the important Profile files. How can I recover passwords and history if the key3.db and places.sqlite files are not shown in the profile folder?

I only have a large urlclassifier3.sqlite file in the old default profile folder. Help!

Sounds like boot sector corruption to me! I suggest you download Testdisk a product of CG Security. Use the latest version that is NOT beta. Boot the computer to a bootable CD such as Hiren's Boot CD. Run the DOS version. Do NOT write anything to the hard disk, such as a log! Do a deep search for lost partitions. When given the opportunity, look at files and folders. Finally, do a rebuild of the boot sector, and compare that to the current boot sector and backup sector. The write a verified version of the boot sector back to the hard disk. Note: Testdisk 6.11.3, under DOS, will show DELETED FILES IN RED. You can then OFFLOAD them to another drive or USB stick. Good luck.

  • File sizes not shown in Finder

Only a few sizes are shown for applications and folders in the Finder window. If I select a folder and then press Command-I, the size will be shown in the information window, but still not showing in Finder. Any thoughts?
    Macbook 100g   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Hello Chris
This is a View Option. Whilst you have a folder open, do View>Show View Options. In there you will find that you can have the folder sizes displayed and calculated automatically. You can also change this setting for all windows if you want it.

  • Print dialog not shown on Acrobat reader 11 and Mac OS X 10.9.2

No matter what document I open, print dialog never appear and I cannot print any document.
I tried also to install older version of acroread but still no luck.
I found also this settings tab quite strange like something is missing.
    Can anyone help me?

    I have the same problem.
It is not a matter of 'error message' nor does it have anything to do with the link provided. That link is all about scanning initiatives from the Mac. The question here is about doing the scanning initiative from the scanner control panel. That is called 'Scan to computer'.
Somehow the Mac has to be put in a receiving mode for that (makes sense). HP only provides the neccessary info for Windows, because 'This step is not necessary for Mac operating systems'. See http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/learnUseDisp lay/?sp4ts.oid=5304875&spf_p.tpst=psiContentDisplay&spf_p.prp_psiContentDisplay= wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03767419-7%257CdocLocale%253Den_US&ja vax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vi gnette.cachetoken
Seems the Mac is in receiving mode by default. But that is not the case. Because the printer says it sees no available computers.
So how can the Mac be put in receiving mode manually ? Or what should happen to make it in receiving mode by default ?

  • Save As/Open File dialog not remembering Recent Places

    Ok this is annoying.
Working with files from a network server (PC). Whenever I try and open documents, save documents, or place images/text into a document (InDesign etc) the open/save/place dialog box that appears always defaults to the User/Documents folder. It seems to be that it is only the server folders that do this as it remembers Recent Places, and automatically goes to the last folder accessed in the dialog, for local files from my HD.
I've tried a tip in another thread regarding deleting com.apple.LaunchServices-xxxx.csstore files (as I did have 2 of them with negative numbers) but that didn't fix anything.
    Any ideas?
    iMac 24" Widescreen, 2GB Ram   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I think this is pretty normal behavior. Servers don't usually remember where clients have saved files and neither do some applications. You can, however, create sharepoints using the freeware utility Sharepoints.
You could try the shareware utility Default Folder X which may enable you to preserve default locations even on remote servers.
Referenced software can be found at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

  • Downloaded files are not shown in the folder indicated in Options

"Options" shows that downloaded files should be in a a particular folder. I go to that folder via Windows Explorer and they're not there...other files are, however. So -- how can I access the downloaded files via Windows Explorer if they're not being saved as indicated. Where else could Firefox be putting them? (for testing I checked the "downloads" window list on firefox and compare to the files in the same folder on Windows...two completely different lists).

When you are in the Firefox Downloads window, right-click a file and select '''Open Containing Folder'''. That will open the folder that downloaded file was saved to.
