The error was with the first cell "Nome" but, I can‘t solve
Thanks
tell application "FileMaker Pro"
    set nomeNovo to cell "Nome" of current record of layout "Catalogo" of database "Catalogo"
end tell
tell application "Finder"
    activate
    set the name of item 1 of folder "catalogo" of desktop to nomeNovo
    set nome to name of item 1 of folder "catalogo" of desktop
move every file of folder "catalogo" of desktop to "img:" with replacing
    select every file of folder "catalogo"
    delete selection
    empty trash
end tell
tell application "FileMaker Pro"
    set foo to "img:" & nome
    set cell "Imagem" of current record of layout "Catalogo" of database "Catalogo" to file foo
end tell

Hack,
Try this line:
set nomeNovo to get cell "Nome" of current record of database "Catalogo"
(added get)

    After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I cannot open my File Maker Pro files. Can I use Numbers to open these files?

    Numbers is a spreadsheet program and FileMaker is a database program, so you probably can't use Numbers to open them unless you had first exported them from FileMaker in a spreadsheet-compatible format.
    If you upgraded from 10.6 Snow Leopard or earlier and your old copy of FileMaker won't open anymore, it might be a PowerPC application that is not compatible with 10.7 and later. If that is the case, to work with your FileMaker files you should upgrade your copy of FileMaker to the latest version, which seems to be FileMaker 12.

  • How to store image in the oracle database 10.2. using File Maker 10.

    Hi.,
    I want to store image, media file in the oracle database using File Maker as a front end.
    I connect Oracle using odbc from file maker. There are table and in that table there a column "pict" of blob type. but this column is not showing in the file maker.
    2. Here I can not change the data type of any column.
    Now how to store images in the oracle table using odbc or any other tool.
    Regards,
    Shyam

    I wrote an example for my students, you can find it here. It's using PHP as the front end but all you need to do is know how and leverage the stored procedures. All code is downloadable in zip files from the blog.

  • Compatibility with File Maker Pro

    I am using File Maker Pro (v.7) to make a relationship database.  I am using container fields that have shortcuts to PDF files.  Unfortunately, I can not open those PDF files via File Maker Pro using Adobe Reader X.  Apparently there is a compatibility issue between the two softwares?  How can I remedy this issue and open my files?

    Since Filemaker 7 was 2003-2005 (they're on 11 now), I'd have to imagine that the issue is the age of the software creating the PDFs and the compatibility with what is, essentially an Acrobat 6 document.
    While newer versions (Acrobat 10 or Filemaker 11) can make backward compatible documents (readable by older versions of Reader) there is no "forward compatibility" feature.
    If you visit oldversion.com, you can dowwnload previous versions of Adobe Reader, but that won't solve the bigger issue: that you're using nearly seven year old software with new software and they just don't work together.

  • Export contacts from Address Book to File Maker Pro

    How can I do this?
    The contacts from Address book are vcf format, File maker doesn't seem to read this. What should I do?
    Thanks a lot

    Try Address Book Exporter.

  • Claris File Maker Pro file

    I have a Macintosh Classis that I used at work a number of years ago. I started a file in File Maker Pro that I would like to access and use now. The Mac itself is running fine but I don't have another Mac to transfer the file to and I am not sure what software program would accept or open this file. I am considering clearing out all of the other files and use it just for the Claris program. If I do that I am lacking a printer. Does anyone know what model printer would hook up to a Mac Classic?

    Apple has made various model of inkjet and laser printers throughout their history that would work via your Classic's printer port. The models I'm most familar with are the StyleWriter & LaserWriter models. It would also help to know which version of the Mac OS you plan to use on the Classic. Generally when dealing with such an old Mac I'd recommend System 6.0.8 if you have two MB of RAM or less (if the files on the hard drive are unfamiliar to you this may be a good chance to reformat the Classic & start over from scratch if you like having a fresh/clean start). If you have more than that I use Mac OS 7.1 on my Mac SE I upgraded to a Mac SE FDHD quite comfortably. Your Mac Classic comes with a Apple Sony 1.44 MB SuperDrive. I'd recommend downloading the files for your OS of choice onto a modern Mac that can get online more easily than your Classic. After that just transfer the compressed files to a external hard drive or Zip disk & hook that up to your Mac Classic's SCSI port. If you don't already have them installed you'll also need to download StuffIt Expander or MindExpander to expand the compressed files you'll download from Apple's Support Older Downloads site (if you choose System 6.0.8 that is). In addition you'll also need to use Disk Copy to make the floppy disks needed to install the OS. If the Classic's hard drive is either unformatted or the startup partition is corrupt you'll need to make the disks on the modern Mac you'll use to download the files. If that is the case that will be the easiest way to do things. I also recommend using your fastest/newest model of Mac to make these disks as they can create them faster than older models of Macs (if possible a 68040 based Mac like my LC 580 works great). If you choose to create Mac OS 7.1 disks I recommend converting the 800k and double-sided floppy images to 1.44 MB images. The reason being 1.44 MB floppies are much easier to find & Apple designed your Mac Classic to be used with them primarily too. You can even copy over the PC Exchange extension from a Mac OS 7.5.X install to be able to read PC/DOS formatted floppies (though it's only compatible with Mac OS 7.1 & the X in my statement means any numbered point release of Mac OS 7.5 such as Mac OS 7.5.5).

  • Help.  Does use of .txt file make sense or code directly into an ArrayList

    I am writing my first program and I want to put a series of information in various .txt files. This is because I will have a lot of different objects that I will create that will needed to be iterated over (most of the objects are similar in many ways). It seemed to me that a .txt file would be better than writing the items directly in an arraylist (if you know what i mean). What do you think?
    There will be 7 different objects that will be iterated over (and there will be 12 other objects doing other things as well, they will not be in .txt format), and I thought instead of having to maintain it through the actual code, I would just have .txt files that I create in notepad or something so that when I need to make changes to one of the 7 objects I only have to get the .txt file instead of having to wade through the code to find that object.
    Does this make sense?
    It seems that I will now have to do a lot of I / O to make it work, so now I am thinking maybe it is better to simply use the arrylist. Is there a benefit of one over the other in this circumstance?
    Also one of the objects has jpeg files that will need to be iterated over. Actually for these I will put them in an array list, because I can't seem to figure out yet how to get an image and the information about the image to display within I/O (like CD covers and their titles).
    Thank you for any help and suggestions I feel a little overwhelmed, but hopeful, with you kind folks.
    Peace
    NB I know that I am not using the correct terminology, but I hope that you can understand what I mean.

  • Text to wav files - make it sound human voice?

    Hi, I have a program called text to wav, it lets you type in whatever you want to say (I'm doing this for a movie I'm puttiing together, creating voices for the "actors" b/c my actors aren't real people, they're to be human models created in 3DS max) in a text field (you have your pick of which voice to use, MS mike voice, MS sam voice, or MS mary voice), then you can save it as a wav file.
    Ok, i did this, and I've loaded it into audition (my version of audition is from adobe CS 2 suite) and I'm using the Adobe Audition classroom in a book for this version of audition to attempt to make this voice sound human, that is, more like a human's voice would sound, and so far, I think I'm getting the results I want in this wav file, but I'd like to upload it to this post so you guys can take a look at this file.
    how do I upload a wav file to adobe forums so I can receive help with it?
    i see the video upload link, i tried this, but it says to upload as a youtube file, and at this point i'm not too confortable with putting any of the audio files (created from text to wav) or video animation files (created from 3ds max) out on youtube/the internet yet, since my movie is not yet finished/burned on dvd for distribution at this time, so how do i do this so I can receive help with this audio file?
    my laptop is a dell xps m1530 running xp home sp3, 4 gigs ram, 1 TB hdd,
    thanks in advance.

    Ha Ha!
    You seriously think that Adobe would let you post an audio file on its audio software forum?
    Yeah, well we did too. Unfortunately the people who run the forum software don't seem to understand that (or a lot else that we've asked about), so you simply can't do it.
    Get a Dropbox basic account, put your file in the dropbox folder on your computer, right-click on it and find the public link, copy it and post that to the forum. The reason that I'm suggesting Dropbox specifically is that you just get a link to a file, and not to a load of download garbage that you get with other providers, which is a right PITA.

  • Open file, make no changes, asks to be saved?

    Okay, this is not a big problem, I am just confused about what is going on. I open a file that I last revised several days ago in order to package for the printer. I have made no changes but the file requires that I save before packaging as if I have made a change. So I cancel the package operation, close the file (ignoring the request to save) and reopen the file. The first thing I do is check and, sure enough, "Save" is not grayed out so again, if I try to package the file, it will ask that I first save the file. A very similar file created at the same time does not have this problem. Now, like I said, this is not a big deal except that there is a variable in the slug area to keep track of when the file was last revised. So if I go ahead and save it will look like some change was made today. Maybe not a problem, but it might raise an issue down the road as to what change was made today.
    Anyway, it appears that I cannot open and close this file without being requested to save. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Thanks.

    > That makes sense except that I have another, similar file that also has variables in the slug area that doesn't behave like this.
    I think if you don't scroll around it will not ask you to save even if
    it has variables. Is it possible when you open the one with variables in
    the slug you are not scrolling around before closing?

  • Read a txt file make it a clob

    Hello. I have a text file that I'd like to read and then set the contents to a clob value. I'm really not too familar with streams and buffers, so everything I've tried has been grasping at straws.
    I've tried reading the file with a fileReader object then writing it a string and trying to convert string to clob... no go
    FileReader frObject = new FileReader("d:\\jrun4\\servers\\test\\Ndadsbload1.txt");
    BufferedReader brObject = new BufferedReader(frObject);
    String line = brObject.readLine();
    String sFile = "";
    Clob clob;
    while (line != null) {
    sFile += line;
    line = brObject.readLine();
    I've read on clobs, and saw some on ascii streams, but I'm kinda stuck. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks alot. That seems to make some sense to me. I am getting an error though. I have nothing on the page but your code, and I thought the Clob clob; would have prevented this. Am I correct in thinking that the var clob will contain the contents of the file at the completion of the loop? Again, I really appreciate the help you've already given and any additional you can give regarding this error.
    192.      Writer clobWriter = clob.setCharacterStream(0);
    <--->
    *** Error: The variable "clob" may be accessed here before having been definitely assigned a value.
    The code again:
    FileReader frObject = new FileReader("d:\\jrun4\\servers\\test\\test\\Ndadsbload1.txt");
    BufferedReader brObject = new BufferedReader(frObject);
    String line = null;
    String sFile = "";
    Clob clob;
    Writer clobWriter = clob.setCharacterStream(0);
    PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(clobWriter);
    while ((line = brObject.readLine()) != null){
    pw.println(line);
    }

  • So won't need "sh" or "bat" files, make jar's MANIFEST take params!!

    Right now a jar file's manifest can have a "main-class" which makes the jar truly executable - you can double-click it. The problem is, if you need environment variables, there is no way to pass them in to your main-class' "args."
    So why don't we make it so when the jar's manifest is read, that in addition to "main-class" you can have "main-args"?
    That would mean everyone would no longer need to bundle java apps with ".exe" or ".bat" or ".sh" files!!! We could have truly Java applications, that are executables!!!
    Just package them in a jar, have a main class and the args for it!!
    what does everyone think?

    basically here is my problem:
    What do I do if my "jar" needs to use classes that are located in a folder created by the user (i.e. I want my app to be able to work together with their app's classes) and those files' location are in the classpath? Normally I could do:
    java -classpath /fldr/blah.jar -jar MyJar.jar
    however, if i want someone to be able to simply double-click it (or if they have Personal Java in which case there is no command-line for users), then what do i do?
    How would my app find their classes?
    It would throw an exception.
    So my question is: how can i solve this, since as far as i can see, a jar and manifest can't send info to the command-line or java.exe here.
    (One solution might be to do runtime.exec(java -classpath ...), but the problem with this is that if I do that with %CLASSPATH% or some other env. variable, then it won't work, it simply treats it as a string %CLASSPATH%. And i don't know if you know this, but if you do java -classpath, then that OVERRIDES your classpath! So you have to remember to include your existing classpath in that. Anyways that's only one example.)

  • Secure the class-file - Make decompile impossible?

    Hi everybody!
    I have "basic" (?) question concerning Java-Class-Files.
    As our company is currently developing an Web-Intranet-Solution, we have to give the source-Code (class-files, jsp-pages and the jar-files) tio the customer.
    But our problem is, that we do not want him to be able to read the source or manipulate it. Now it is very easy to do so, I am just thinking of jad - a java decompiler, for example...
    How can we prevent this?
    What are common approaches for this problem?
    Thx in Advance!
    Stef

    You will be better off using obfustacting softwares, rather than customized class loader with encrypted classes as the nature of bytecodes will leave the decompiling process with an intercepting point always. Thaw will make the decompiling trivial regardless of the encryption strength you use.
    For obfuscation, Proguard is a GPL one, and Retroguard is suitable for commercial shipments, but I suppose there are more than a bunch of them out there, which I am not aware of.
