File to File Adapter Error

Hi all -
IDOC - File scenario works but in file to file scenario i get this error in the communication channel monitoring.
Error: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: Some of the IS access information is not available. SLDAcess property may be set to true, but SLD is not available.
Basis modified the properties in the visual admin from this pdf link:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/08438c77-0501-0010-50a0-e39fe8fa0446
After changing the SLDAccess to false and restarting the services, the communication channel does not show up a dropdown in the "Input Help".
#1 10/25/2006 15:49:31.769 [Thread-44] INFO com.sap.lcr.sagent.specificbuilder.J2EEBuilder: Incomplete data for central service instance received from data supplier.
Generating a SAP_BCCentralServiceInstance CRD.SystemHome.bsedev.ServiceInstanceID.41
Please check the version of data supplier in J2EE engine sending this data.
Any help in this regard.
Thanks,
Tirumal

Moorthy -
SLDCHECK ran through fine without any errors.
i checked the URL and it has:
http://server:8084/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Anything else that i need to check.
Also in the communication channel monitoring browser on the top right hand corner we have an option which says "Adapter Log(Channel-Independent)", when i selected File i got this error message:
Error: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPALookupException: Channel object with Id Channel:9514c24daba631148c97e3001f996f10 not available in CPA Cache.
Thanks,

    Hi Raju,
Looking at the error your DBOutbound.wsdl has [location="eis/MyDBConnection"] although the sample shipped has [location="eis/DB/BPELSamples"]. So, I am guessing you have either modified the sample manually, or you may have rerun the db adapter wizard which could have caused this change. So, you could fix this in one of the following ways:
    1. Start with a fresh sample and follow the instructions to the dot
    2. Go ahead and define an entry in oc4j-ra.xml for eis/MyDBConnection with the appropriate connection parameters
    3. Currently, when the jndi name is not defined in the oc4j-ra.xml, the runtime tries to work with the design time connection information which is captured in the DBOutbound.wsdl. In your case, this doesn't seem to work for either of the following reasons: your runtime connection is different from design time connection, or else the design time connection info is not valid for the runtime assuming it is running on different m/c. I could pinpoint what is wrong if I had access to the DBOutbound.wsdl file.
Couple of other best practices while we are on this issue:
    - the location attribute which ties the design time and runtime together follows a convention so that we don't have to make sure that it is unique across all of the various adapters: to help out on this front, we follow the convention of eis/<AdapterAbbrev>/<connectionName>. So, I'd change yours to eis/DB/MyDBConnection. By default the wizard generates locations using this convention although it is hand-editable.
    - from another error message below "file:/D:/OraBPELPM/integration/jdev/jdev/myWork/File2Table/DBOutbound.wsdl [" I get the feeling that you are copying the sample elsewhere. Is there a need to do that ? You could just add the jdev project (.jpr) for this sample to any existing jdev workspace and you should be able to deploy from there w/o making any changes. This approach would be preferable and would have helped you from running into the set of issues that you are seeing.
Let me know if the above makes sense.
    Cheers,
    Shashi

  • File adapter error after updating to SP19 (INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR)

File adapter error after updating to SP19 (INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR)
    Hi all,
im having some troubles after the installation of SP19 (from SP16 in NW04) with File Adapter (File->Idoc scenario).
In message monitoring (Adapter Engine), I have several messages with status "System Error". The error text is :
<i>Received XI System Error. ErrorCode: INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR
ErrorText:   ErrorStack: Error in sender agreement for party '', service 'LEGACY_DEV', interface namespace 'http://XXXXX.com/XXXXXX', interface 'INTERFACE_OB' No sender agreement found for , , , , ,</i>
Im sure that the Integration Directory settings have not been changed. So I tried the following, but the problem persists:
    - Deactivation/Activation of File Adapter channel
    - check that user XIISUSER is not locked
    - checked SXI_CACHE (it seems ok)
    - Many CPA full refresh
    - Dummy modifications of File Adapter channels (a dummy modification of the description)
    - Reboot J2EE
I've seen that someone else had problems after upgrading to SP19. I'd really appreciate any suggestion of how to solve my issue.
    Thank you

  • FILE ADAPTER ERROR IN FTP

    Hi,
Iam getting the following error in sender file adapter:
Could not process due to error: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 *** ERROR *** NO BATCHES FOR TRANSMISSION
Could anyone help me in this.
    Thanks &Regards,
    Y.Raj

    Hi Raj,
    1. Check whether the user you are using has access control i.e Read/Write Access from the folder in FTP server..
    2. Check it at OS level by directly pasting or pick the files..
    3. From SAP end check the user credientials provided in the file adapter i.e username of the FTP server and the Password of the FTP server it is case-sensitive.
    4. Try to give the exact path from where the file is to be picked and reactivate the scenario.
    5. what is the file size of the file that is going to be picked from the ftp server.
    6. Then finally check in Communication channel monitoring detailed log what is the error it was coming and check the log in XI server you can clearly notice the error.
Even some times it will access at OS level but not through the server for this reactivate the adapter and provdie the user credentials and the path once again..
    regards,
    Kishore.

  • File read or delete error in oracle jca adapter is not being caught in java

    Hi,
I am using oracle JCA file adapter to read and process file and that jca is being used in OSB. This is working fine. But if the file is not in proper format or file is alredy opened, jca is throwing error on console and control is not going to OSB. I have to log this error in database either by OSB or before OSB using EJB. I have inserted valve in jca for preprocessing. But in the any method of abstract valve , i am not getting able to access the error thrown by jca in case of invalid xml file. If i am able to fetch error message in execute method or any other message of AbstractValve, that error may be sent to database using EJB that not able to get the error message. Please let me know if there is any way to get the errors by jca in java code.

In the case of error while reading or deleting file(if file is not in write format or opened or not accessible), control is not going to OSB. from JCA default error handling mechanism is throwing error to console. That's why i tried with inserting valve in jca adapter.

  • Sender File Adapter Error reading file

    Hello!
I have a problem with reading a file using the FTP adapter.
I have configured everything according to the steps of weblog "FILE to JDBC Adapter using SAP XI 3.0" (/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30).
I know the sender FTP adapter can connect to the directory and file because:
    1) it has complained about wrong format in the content conversion (has been fixed)
    2) when there is no file for it there to pick up, the FTP flag in the adapter monitor is green
When I put a file in the specified directory I get the following error:
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:23 CDT: Retry interval started. Length: 10.000 s
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:23 CDT: Error: Retrieving file 'test_file.dat' failed unexpectedly: FTPEx: Public: The system cannot find the file specified.
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:20 CDT: Processing started
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:13 CDT: Error: Retrieving file 'test_file.dat' failed unexpectedly: FTPEx: Public: The system cannot find the file specified.
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:10 CDT: Processing started
I also get the same error if I skip the content conversion and put a "ready" XML file there.
There should be no auth problems at all. Public server, and I can log on, get, put, delete etc. Also it can apparently read it since it can complain about the content format. Anyone seen this before?
    Please advise. Thanks!
    Nam

    Hi Nam,
Is your User Id and User Id/Password is correct ?
Is connection mode is per file transfer in File Adapter configuration?
Also you can see the log from Visual Admin..

  • JMS adapter error for FILE - XI - WebSphere MQ

    Hi
We are facing an issue for a File to websphere MQ (5.3) implementation.
When we run the interface , it is giving an error in the run time work bench , Adapter error:
Exception caught by adapter framework: null
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: RecoverableException.
Would also like to know if we need to mention  Channel Name while configuring the adapter.
we have already placed the required driver for WebSphere MQ in XI server i.e com.ibm.mq.jar , com.ibm.mqjms.jar ,com.ibm.mqbind.jar

    Hi John,
If you are working with IBM MQ 5.3, you would also need connection.jar deployed in the JMS driver.
You can mention the MQ channel name in the Receiver channel configuration in XI.
Ensure that the listener service on this channel is started.
More info at Re: XI--WebSphereMQ : Receiver Channel Inactive in MQ

  • File adapter - archiving files after successful processing & errors

    Hi All
In sender file adapter, I understand that we can archive files after processing them.
After successful processing, we can archive the file, and if there are any errors, we can archive the file in a different folder (all files resulting in errors during processing are archived in a seperate folder).
    Now, see this scenario.
My file is successfully picked up, processed and posted to receiving sap system thru proxy.
But, if there is any application specific error (ex: duplicate id), because of which this data cannot be processed in the receiving system, how can i move the file which is archived in successful messages folder to the folder where we archive error messages?
    Is it possible?
This is required because, when there are these kind of errors with incorrect data, we want the corresponding file to be archived in the folder where erred files are archived.
Please let me know how we can achieve this.
    Many Thanks
    Chandra

in file sender CC, thr is option to archive and error file store also..
1)under processing mode - archive.. give the path thr..
    2) To archive source files where a permanent error occurred during processing, select Archive Faulty Source Files

  • File adapter -error tracking

    Hi,
    Scenario:File to Proxy
    My requirement:
I need to poll the file from the legacy system at 7 P.M.
    1) If file is not present then I need to poll till 7.30 P.M and after that also if file is still not present then I need to rasie an alert also update the R3 table with the same.
    2) If the legasy sytem is down or network problem then I need to rasie an alert to user saying Legacy system down also I neeed to update the table in R3 with the same error.
    My question is:
Can I track this type of errors and raise it to users and also maintained it in R3?
Can I use the unix shell script to check the avability of file but how the error handling part can be taken care?
Is is possible to raise System down or network related erros or file not available through custome adapter module?
Can I track system down or network problem error through communication channel monitoring by creating alert rule. As I am aware if file server is not reachable then we get the error in communciation channel monitoring.
    Please share your experience.
    Chirag

    Hi Chirag,
    1) If file is not present then I need to poll till 7.30 P.M and after that also if file is still not present then I need to rasie an alert also update the R3 table with the same. - for this req, i think you need BPM, to start BPM you can have a receive step for a dummy source file for a dummy sender file adpater which will be scheduled to start at 7 PM.........then in bpm have a recieve step to get the actual file and specify a dead-line for 30 minutes............if file is got proceed further, otherwise in deadline branch have a synchronous send step to R/3 to update the data in r/3 table.............
    2) If the legasy sytem is down or network problem then I need to rasie an alert to user saying Legacy system down also I neeed to update the table in R3 with the same error. - if your comm channel is erroring, then in RWB in alert configuration you can have no restiction option for your interface and then you can generate an alert for it in the alert inbox...........but i think to update this thing in r/3 table will not be feasible.

Not sure if this will help. But before you start trying to write the file have you done a test in the transformation?
This is done by right click in the middle panel in the transformation process. If the xml generated is invalid then this is your problem.
