FILE TO FILE SCENARIO FULL BBDD

Hi all,
I have develop several file to file scenarios, just in the role of FTP, no mapping is required. The total volumen of the files that i´m moving is 2GB, in diferent files and diferent scenarios. The issue that we are experimenting is that the BBDD of XI grows 2 GB any time I execute the escenarios and this space is not free after the execution. Any explication or way to free this space? Any idea why this is happening?
Many thnaks in advance for the help
Regards
Noelia

Hi Noelia,
ok......then in XI, just create sender file comm channels.......give in OS command, the batch file for FTP script to run......activate the comm channels......your file will be moved......no need for complete scenario configuration for it......
if this also does not help you, ask your basis guys to do a quicksizing of your XI system or increase the physical memory, cache memory and if possible, add more processors to your XI system for parallel processing.........
Thanks,
Rajeev Gupta

  • Error in File to File scenario

    Hi All,
    im trying out the file to file scenario [binary file using file content conversion]from SDN Wiki:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/main&
    On the runtime workbench, adapter engine is in red/error status due to error in the receiver comunication channel.
    The sender communication channel is working fine. During testing, my file is being picked up and deleted(processing mode set to delete).
    I am able to see the msgs in sxmb_moni and in Message Monitoring, the status is delivered.
    However, the receiver channel does not show any error msgs at all.
    Yday when i tested , i got the foll error msg:
    Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found: Parameter 'EMP.Contacts.fieldFixedLengths' or 'EMP.Contacts.fieldSeparator' is missing
    However tdy i dont see any new error msgs during testing (no changes made to the recvr channel).
    Given that the sender communication channel is wrking, can i safely assume that file adapter is wrking fine. If not, how do i check the status of the file adapter [in RWB, i can see the file adapter  and various other adapters(with a grey diamond icon next to them). how do i interpret the status of the adapter?
    Would really appreciate if anyone can advice on how to troubleshoot this?
    Many thanx!
    cheers
    Prachi
    I hv tried doing a full cpa cache refresh.

    Hello Prachi ,
    I thinks its because of receiver File Processing Parameters,as you are considering here File Content Conversion.
    If your structure is like this
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns1:Proveedor_100011 xmlns:ns1="http://sap.com/xi/webservices/buyordint">
    <config>
    <directory>c:/tmp</directory>
    <filename>dynamicFile3.txt</filename>
    </config>
    <root>
    <string>Header;423423</string>
    <lines>
    <value>LINE;</value>
    </lines>
    </root>
    </ns1:Proveedor_100011>
    Then your content conversion is -
    RecordSet Structure: config,root
    root.fieldSeparator = ;
    root.endSeparator = 'nl'
    config.fieldFixedLenghts = 0
    config.fixedLenghtTooShortHandling = CUT

  • Error in the filename response vaule when doing Http to file scenario

    Hi,
       I am doing Http to File Scenario. I am trying to retrieve the source filename in the structure field "filename". I have defined a UDF for that and It worked well for file to file scenario.
    Now for Http to file scenario if i want to get the filename, I am getting "null" value in the response.
    I am using Http Client test tool for testing the scenario.
    My output is
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:FileTarget_MT xmlns:ns0="http://soacity.net/HTTPtoFile">
      <MsgId>DD74CE4AE01AC6F19C0900199912BCA0</MsgId>
      <filename>nullnull</filename>
      <Body>hello world.</Body>
      </ns0:FileTarget_MT>
    I got nullnull because i am trying to retrieve Source directory and filename.
    Desired Out put
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:FileTarget_MT xmlns:ns0="http://soacity.net/HTTPtoFile">
      <MsgId>DD74CE4AE01AC6F19C0900199912BCA0</MsgId>
      <filename>/FileServer/Sender/test.xml</filename>
      <Body>hello world.</Body>
      </ns0:FileTarget_MT>
    For File receiver i am using FTP Parameters.
    I got the correct output for file to file scenario because i had placed the file in the source directory, so that XI can read the source directory and file name. but now for Http to file scenario i am using the Http client tool, where in i have an option to paste the payload directly or upload the file.
    Any Inputs would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Varun

    Hi,
    I Have defined the structure as
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_Source_FILE xmlns:ns0="http://soacity.net/HTTPtoFile">
       <Message>
          <Id/>
          <Head>
             <Id/>
             <Filename/>
          </Head>
          <Body/>
       </Message>
    </ns0:MT_Source_FILE>
    My requirement is
    "The HTTP adapter would recieve a HTTP document. It has two main tags: head and body; there are two options : either specify the filename in <head> and data in <body> or you send the full message as payload into <body><message>.... </message></body>"
    So How do I proceed in Defining the objects.

    Varun

  • Getting Receiver Agreement issue in IDOC to File scenario

    Hi Gurus,
                Need your help. I'm working on a IDOC to File scenario. I'm using CREMDM.CREMDM04 as outbound Interface & small structure VEND_FILE_IN_MI as Inbound Interface. Though I've configured the receiver Communication Channel as a File Adapter with proper Inbound Interface I'm seeing the message getting failed which is showing CREMDM.CREMDM04 as both Outbound & Inbound interface and pointing a Receiver Agreement issue . The Receiver service is coming Properly, only the Interface is coming wrong as the sender interface. I've checked both Receiver Agreement & Receiver determination and found the Receiver Service, Communication Channel & Interface are perfectly mapped there, I cross checked the same Configurations in IE via SXI_CACHE after full Cache copy.
    Error Message:
    No receiver agreement found for sender -SAPERP to receiver -IDOC2FileReceiver,urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages

    4. In Receiver Agreement Configured the receiver service IDOC2FileReceiver aging sender service SAPERP & Interface VEND_IDOC_OUT_MI.
    5. In Interface Determination Specified the Inbound Interface VEND_FILE_IN_MI and Interface Mapping VEND_IDOC_FILE_IMAP
    6. In Receiver Agreement specified the receiver communication Channel IDOC2FileChannel against Receiver Service & Interface.
    I used the Configuration wizard in my second attempt to make sure the sequence of configuration.
    Can anyone help me identifying what's going wrong. I'm very new to XI and basically this  is the first assignment I'm working on.

    Hi
    I checked for XIAPPLUSER role in SU01 but it is not there?
    What the role of XIAPPLUSER ?
    Why do i need this role?
    Here we have installed XI in solaries system so i asked my basis team to share one folder in XI system with full access.
    First have given transport protocol as the Fil System, at that time communication Channel was in green but i got the above errors which i have mentioned earlier...
    My question is can i give the transport protocol as File System because i am accessing the folder with in the XI server but i am accessing it through FTP.
    Now i have configured the FTP I have configured everything correct but still i am getting the following errors...
    An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server '10.30.3.23:21'. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 530 Login incorrect.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor
    Could you please help me in this?

    You may need to extendthe trace file in the Java Adminsitration console to find the exact problem.
    Log on J2EE Admin Console
    Select Cluster
    Select <SID>
    Select Server
    Select Services
    Select Log Configurator
    Select Locations tab
    In Log Controller:
    Root Location > Com > SAP > aii > Adapter > File
    Change severity to Debug
    Click Save and "Apply to all server nodes"
    Run the interface again
    Check in \usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log
    for full trace file.
    Best viewed in Log Viewer:
    \usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\admin\logviewer-standalone\logviewer.bat (.sh)

  • FIle scenario error - file not copied to destination folder

    Hi,
    I am workin on sample file to file scenario.I am using transport protocol as FTP. I had made one system as ftp and placed 2 folders in it, sender and receiver ,wat i am tryin to do is,pick xi_inputfile.xml from sender folder and place it in destination folder.
    after completing the settings in IR and ID, whn i am looking in RWB message monitoring, its showing msg status as successful but in the interface it is showing exception.and file is nt copied into receiver folder
    I want to know how can I see what is that exception.
    Other thing is when I am going in detail of msg , in message content tab it is showing
    com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException=Message failed by admin.
    Thanks.

    Reactivate the channel from ID.
    Refresh Adapter Engine cache (mode=full) then test by sending new message.
    For full CPACache refresh
    http://<hostname>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
    hostname = where xi is installed
    port = 5<instance no.>00
    Check IR mapping is correct and Ur is having authorization with Basis Team. Unless , resend the message by basis id.

  • FTPS or SFTP for file scenario. Suggstions

    Hi,
    I have searched blog in sdn but do not get good blogs/links.
    For File scenario which to use FTPS or SFTP.
    How to do the configuration in XI and Visual admin.
    Full points will be awarded.

    Hi,
    1) SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
    "SSH File Transfer Protocol" or SFTP is a network protocol that provides file transfer and manipulation functionality over any reliable data stream. It is typically used with the SSH-2 protocol to provide secure file transfer. SFTP encrypts the session, preventing the casual detection of username, password or anything that is being transmitted. One key benefit to SFTP is its ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe. By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    SFTP:
    As per the latest SAP PI/XI support pack, it does not support SFTP via File Adapter.
    So alternative approach to cater this requirement from XI is to make use of Unix Script at OS level to transfer the files from/to third-party systems.
    Inbound Interface - i.e. third-party system ->XI->SAP:
    File is transferred to a folder in SAP XI landscape from the third-party legacy system using UNIX Script with secured protocol. Once the file is ready in the XI landscape, File Adapter will poll this directory and file is picked up by NFS protocol.
    Outbound Interface – i.e. SAP->XI->third-party system:
    XI is responsible for writing a file into a folder in the XI landscape. These files are transferred to the third-party system by executing UNIX scripts with secured protocol i.e. via sFTP.
    Pre-Requisites:
    Public key should be exchanged between external systems and the PI system.
    UNIX shell script has to be developed and scheduled.
    Advantages:
    Highly Secured.
    Ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe .By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    Disadvantages:
    Two-Step process i.e. XI>Temporary folder>External System and vice-versa
    Files have to be temporarily stored in XI server.
    Multiple failure points i.e. XI and Unix script execution
    Maintenance of an external UNIX script.
    Difficulty in monitoring the execution of the shell script as it cannot be monitored thru XI.
    Need to generate keys and install it in the SFTP site as a pre-requisite i.e. SFTP clients must install keys on the server.
    SFTP uses keys rather than certificates. This means that it can't take advantage of the "chains of trust" paradigm facilitated through Certificate Authorities.
    Files from the XI server should be deleted/archived in a periodic manner to increase the disc space so that it will increase the performance.
    Note: UNIX shell Script can be executed as a background job ‘or' can be triggered from SAP XI through OS command at File adapter level.
    Secure FTP (SSH) with the FTP Adapter
    Secured File Transfer using SAP XI
    Secure FTP in SAP XI
    SFTP (FTP over SSH) in XI

  • Problem with File RFC File scenario without using BPM

    Hi all,
      I am trying a File RFC File scenario without using BPM with the help of the following thread:
    File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.
      The XI system is PI 7.0 sp 12. When I am trying to acheive the above scenario, I am getting wierd results i.e., when I observe in SXI_MONITOR, the message is showing as processed successfully, but when I watch the message status in communication channel monitoring, I am getting the following error:
    "Attempt to process file failed with com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.CPAException: Couldn't retrieve inbound binding for the given P/S/A values: FP=;TP=;FS=DEV120;TS=Test_Service;AN=MI_Invoice;ANS=urn:sap.com:test;"
    I am not able to understand what the problem is. By the way, one more thing, is, I have kept the File processing mode as "Delete" in the sender file adapter. But the file is not getting deleted. I think the reason could be because of the above error.
    Can any body help me out in getting my problem resolved?
    Thanks,
    Adithya K

    CPA Cache Refresh from the Adapter Engine To trigger a cache refresh from the individual Adapter Framework, open a browser window and enter the following
    URL: http://<host>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=<b>delta|full</b>
    The Monitoring url is like this: http://<host>:<port>/CPACache
    Thanks & Regards,
    Farooq.

  • Payload missing in File-File scenario

    Hi,
    I have created a scenario which is a combination of File-IDoc and File-File scenario.
    First scenario is working fine.IDoc is getting generated and posted to SAP R/3.
    I could see messages for these two as child messages in sxmb_moni with same message ID.
    But in the second message,payload is missing in Call Adapter block and Response block in sxmb_moni.
    Also,output file is not getting generated though the message is successful in sxmb_moni.
    Could anyone please let me know what could be the reason for this.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Shweta

  • Muli File to File Scenario : Null Pointer Exception

    Hi All,
    I have a  FILE to FILE Scenario.  I intend to transfer Muliple Files from  one system to another.  FTP Servers are running on both the systems.
    1.  In the sender Communication channel:  I have set the name of  the Source Directory
    2.  In the File name I set <nothing>
    3.  The advanced file selection option is ticked.
    5. I set the Source directory name and the file mask *.txt in the table.
    all other configurations related to the FTP Server etc are done.
    When the scenario is executed, my sender communication channel shows a null pointer exception when Checked in the Runtime Workbench.
    Can anyone please help and  let me know what it is.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi,
    This also does not help.
    One observation:
    If i set the Directory as  the real source directory
    and
    Set in the advance file selection
    The full directory name , and the Full file name for e.g XML1.txt , XML2.txt in the file mask, it works.
    But it results in a failure if I set  *.txt as the file mask.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

  • IDOC-XI-FILE Scenario: Error in ABAP Mapping

    Dear All,
    I am working on IDOC-XI-Flat FIle scenario in which I am using ABAP Mapping as per document "How To Convert an IDoc-XML
    structure to a flat file and vice versa in XI 3.0".
    I created one customized Idoc for this. The Idoc is reacing XI but its flat file is not getting created. Its giving me following error:
    <SAP:Stack>Error in mapping program Z_ABAP_MAPPING_PACKING_LIST (type SAP-ABAP, kernel error ID UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION) An exception with the type CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause Dereferencing of the NULL reference.</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
    I have also gone thru threads posted for the same topic earlier but still I am not been to resolve this error.
    Please help me out in resolving this error.
    Regards,
    N.Jain

    HI,
       Log saying that, u have problem in the mapping program.
      i.e Z_ABAP_MAPPING_PACKING_LIST
       the problem is due declaration of data.
       i hope that, you have some methods.
       those are declared under intialization section in mapping program.
      please use start of selection before the method.
    other wise, it will come under intilization section.
    warm regards
    mahesh.
