File to file using fcc

Hi Experts,
i am doing file to file scenario using fcc.in that i want to send multiple records as an xml file and i have to display that records in the receiver side.

You can set the parameter Recordsets per message to *, otherwise also it is set to * by default.

When i tested the scenario and monitored it using MDT in CC monitoring tool its giving me below mentioned error.
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource 'http://myurlname/mdt/me...
However if i change the occurence of DATA as some specific value for eg 4 instead of * it works fine.
Kindly help me in solving this problem.

Sender file adapter Need to Get Only one record Using FCC

Hi All,
              I am using File to ABAP Proxy interface, where i need to Trigger my proxy so in my sender file adapter , i need to configure as such it is should take only one record, from whole file i am using Key field parametrs in FCC but it is taking all the records which is not having the key fields also
please help me

i didnt knew why i waz getting <name></name> so i manually deleted them and also deleted the "-" and the pasted this in the file to be picked,file is pickin up but not being delivered and the error is still the same

Ignore last lines in a file using FCC

Hello,
can we ignore last two line in a file, when we are using FCC.
in a file uploaded with some special char like $#@..... due to this mapping getting failed.
i want to ignore last two lines in a file.

Hi Chinna,
you can also use replaceString funtion to remove all special character and then use result for date transformation like shown below.

File not able to pick while using FCC at sender channel

we design one scenario that we need to process flat file to ECC. So we have used FCC at sender channel.
while we testing , only its showing as successfull logs in channel , but we not able to pick the file.

Hi Peddaraju,
Cross check correct source directory and file name is maintained in the sender file communication channel. If everything is fine try to restart the XPI File Adapter service in NWA.

Problem in Archiving File From FTP Server to XI File Server Using FCC

Hi,
The scenario is file to IDOc. XI has to read the input file from client FTP server and archive it to XI local file server. Archiving on XI server is working fine without FCC (for xml files). But with FCC, the sender FTP adapter is archiving empty files (0 kb files).
I've checked SXMB_MONI, even there I can see the file data and the IDoc is getting posted with proper data. But, the archived file is empty. Not sure about the problem.

File adapter has the functionality which support the empty file handling.
Handling of Empty Files
Specify how empty files (length 0 bytes) are to be handled.
○ Do Not Create Message
No XI messages are created from empty files.
The files are processed according to the selected Processing Mode.
For example, if the processing mode is Delete, empty files are deleted in the source directory.
○ Process Empty Files
XI messages are created with an empty main payload.
The files are processed according to the selected Processing Mode.
○ Skip Empty Files
No XI messages are created from empty files.
Empty files are skipped and remain in the source directory.

Adding EOF to XML file without using FCC

Hello Experts,
I have a simple File to File scenario with source and target files being XML and simple mapping (No content conversion necessary). The issue which I face is described below:
File is written by receiver File Adapter on the unix system, a third party Unix script tries to read the file and faces problems which they report is because the file is not ended correctly. When we try to open the files using vi editor, we also get a warning: [Last line is not complete].
As a temporary solution the script is making sure the line is ended correctly. Can you advice me how from PI side I can make sure that the file ends properly. I was thinking to write a shell script and add it as a OS post processing command but I am not sure whether that will work and whether that is the best solution.
Also the file name is generated dynamically using time stamps in the receiver side. Version of PI is 7.0 SP16

Hi,
When PI sends target file to file,it definely wellformed XML,anyway you are sending XML file.
If you are nor using any mapping,,just copying file from one to other,then problem with test data,may be source data doesnot have EOF tag.
check/test in message mapping,it gives valid xml structures in out put,then problem with your data.

How to handle preceding space characters in file to file(FCC on both sides)

We have scenario with file to file (FCC on both sides).
Issue is: Sender side we are converting source file (CSV) into XML. But while converting it is ignoring preceding spaces.
Example:
Suppose Source file(CSV) contains one record as mentioned below ( for ur understanding purpose I mentioned 'X' instead of space. )
XXXXXXXXXX12345     78945 23548    23446
The above record is getting converted into XML as
<text>12345     78945 23548    23446</text>
But we need the record to be converted into XML as mentioned below
<text>XXXXXXXXXX12345     78945 23548    23446</text>
i.e we need spaces before "12345" also.
As both sender and receiver having same structure, we are not using any mapping also.
Please suggest in this regard.

File to File using BPM & value mapping

Hi,
   I have the following scenario to do. sample file structure is given below.
source:
HDR   13052008INDIA
BDY   123456
BDY   1234567
EOF
Target:
HDR 2IN BDY 123456 EOF
HDR 2IN BDY 1234567 EOF
for the above mentioned source and target mapping. we have to use BPM and value mapping.
In the HDR row 13052008 is the date value this has to be passed to RFC function module and it will return 2, this value has to be mapped to target
And INDIA has to be mapped to IN using the value mapping option. similarly we have many coutry code.

Hey,
     This is a normal file to file scenario.
     You need to use RFC look up instead of value mapping.(as you need to extract 2 and IN from an RFC)
There is no need for a BPM.

this will solve your problem.
Output of RFC look up will be 2 and IN . So use the concat function.
Other values map them directly from source to target.
Also, set the occurence for the target structure as 0 to unbounded in the mapping.(this is to be done in order to have one file for each record of the source)
You also need to configure file content conversion.(both at sender and reciever side) to convert the text file to XML on the sender side and then XML to text at the reciever side.

Unable to load project after delete some path with files but not used at all

Im using the demo of Premiere Pro CC last demo download today.
All the fuc**ng day editing some videos, and saved, then I deleted som efolder containing some video files (almost not used) then when I try to open premiere the project I were working, premiere opens, load and freezes and nothing happens, it keeps on the main area withouht any windows, and I cant get my 10 hours of work What happening with thei premiere ? And Im unable to open the project in Premiere CC 7.0 from another computer as saif it was done using new version.
I NEED A SOLUTION !

TRY - Go to you Back Up project file or an Auto save and hope that recovers some of your work afterrestoring what you deleted.

To upload the file , you can try a standard program "RSEPSFTP" .
while you execute the program , a selection screen appears in which the inputs should be give as
RFC destination - The target server name
FTP command- PUT
local file - your file name
local directory - path of your local file
remote file - your target file name
remote directory - where it has to be stored

Cannot Delete CPTL file from Desktop using Vista

Hi All,
I cannot Delete CPTL file from Desktop using Vista. Explorer
crashes. It is a Captivate 2 file.
I have tried (with no luck):
- logging in as a different user and deleting the file.
- running explorer as an Administrator
- uninstalling Captivate.
Anyone got any ideas?

That is a strange issue. Here are a couple more ideas you
could try:
- Have you tried renaming the file (including suffix)?
- Have you rebooted?
- Do you get any error messages when trying to delete, such
as "Acess Denied"?
- Is your machine networked? Is it possible someone else has
the file open?
- Can the file be moved to another location or put in a
folder (and then deleted)?
- Have you tried using the Command Prompt / DOS mode to
delete the file?
It sounds like it could be a Vista issue so I would look at
the Microsoft Vista forums too. Sorry I do not have an exact
answer.

It is as if the server has decided that the client has timed out during the file upload. The default setting is 30 seconds for AcceptTimeout in the magnus.conf file. This should be ample to get the file across, even increasing this to 2 minutes just produces the same error after 2 minutes. Any help appreciated. Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this, I couldn't see one for iPlanet and Web, many thanks, Kieran.

You didnt mention which version of IWS. follow these steps.
(1)Goto Web Server Administration Server, select the server you want to manage.
(2)Select Preference >> Perfomance Tuning.
(3)set HTTP Persistent Connection Timeout to your choice (eg 180 sec for three minutes)
(4) Apply changes and restart the server.
*Setting the timeout to a lower value, however, may prevent the transfer of large files as timeout does not refer to the time that the connection has been idle. For example, if you are using a 2400 baud modem, and the request timeout is set to 180 seconds, then the maximum file size that can be transferred before the connection is closed is 432000 bits (2400 multiplied by 180)
