Filepaths in Windows 7

I'm using CS3 on a Windows 7 machine.
whenever I use any extenstion that uses file paths, I the following occurs:
background-image: url("../../../../../../../Documents//_Sites/sitename/images/bg.png");
It happens eventhough I've already saved the file I'm working in.

How's this done?
When I insert an image, the file paths are reletive. However, they are absolute when an extention (any extention) inserts anything.

    How do I show the full filepath in Windows Explorer.
    Currently I see This PC > Documents
    What I would like to see is C:\Users\{username}\Documents
    Ive searched Windows help and Google. People seem to be saying this cannot be done, but nothing ive read says theyve asked the question here.
    Can this be done in Windows 8.1 ?
    Many thanks for readibg this post and hopefully providing a positive outcome.

    Hi Dave,
    Thanks for the response.
    Aha. Ive actually just found how I have achieved this in the past.
    Must have been having a senior moment.
    Simply click the mouse to the far right in the address bar.
    Voila.
    This PC > Documents <--R-click here
    Becomes
    C:\Users\{username}\Documents
    Don't forget that there can be documents in c:\users\public\documents

  • 2 node cluster windows 2008 R2 cluster won't form

    Hi,
    I'm trying to build a 2 node cluster and having no luck at all.   My validation works great but when I go to create the cluster it fails on the forming cluster section after about 2 minutes.   I seem to have everything in order and can't
    figure out the problem.   Here is what is in the cluster log.

  • Passing MSI properties causes itunessetup to fail

    Trying to install latest iTunes 11.0.2.26
    Installing on Windows 7 x86 SP1 all updates applied.
    Here is the behavior I've noticed.
    If trying to run iTunesSetup.exe via command line and you pass any MSI PROPERTY arguments to the setup it will fail.
    It always fails at the exact same spot which is the Apple Mobile Device Service. It will fail to start with error code 1920. This happens regardless if I am running as an Administrator account, or even logged in as the actual local administrator. I have confirmed the problem still happens even when trying to call the EXE from an elevated command prompt. UAC is also already disabled.
    The following command will work if you do not pass PROPERTY elements to the installer.
    iTunesSetup.exe /q
    However if you attempt to use the following command the install will fail.
    iTunesSetup.exe /qb DESKTOP_SHORTCUTS=0
    Below is a result of running logging during the install using argument
    /l*v! log.txt

    I guess the short answer is don't try to pass MSI properties to the installer.

  • DISM error under WinPE

    Hello there,
    I have a problem with when I want to use DISM.exe during a Task sequence under WinPE.
    I run the following scripts under WinPE: (Run Command Line Task Sequence with Package)
    Powershell.exe -Command Set-executionpolicy remotesigned
    start "Regional Settings" /wait Powershell.exe -File "%CD%\Regional_Settings\Regional_Settings.ps1"
    $SMS = New-Object -ComObject Microsoft.SMS.TSEnvironment
    $PCName = $SMS.Value("_SMSTSMachineName")
    $PCName = $PCName.Substring(2,3)
    If ($PCName -eq "DEU") {$Lang = "de-DE"}
    If ($PCName -eq "FRA") {$Lang = "fr-FR"}
    If ($PCName) {Start-Process -FilePath "X:\Windows\System32\DISM.exe" -ArgumentList "/Image:C: /Set-UserLocale:$Lang /ScratchDir:C:\Windows\Temp" -NoNewWindow -Wait}
    I need the script to change the "UserLocale" based of the computer name.
    But when I run it I get the following DISM error log:

    The strange thing is that when I run the script manually under WinPE it works absolutely perfect.
    Also the log shows that it runs the correct command line:
    DISM.EXE: Executing command line: "X:\Windows\System32\DISM.exe" /Image:C: /Set-UserLocale:de-DE /ScratchDir:C:\Windows\Temp
    Thanks for your help!

    Three other comments:
    - Why set the execution policy separately? Just use the -executionpolicy option when calling the script.
    - Why are you using start? Start is only necessary if you need to control how something is launched. PowerShell is a valid executable so using start adds a layer of indirection that can actually cause issues with things like the current directory passed
    to command-line being called.
    - Why are you using DISM for this? Setting the values (dynamically) in unattend.xml is easier:

  • JavaScript in ABAP Program

    hi folk,
    I have some Javascript codes in my abap program as you can see below.
    It does simple not work for me.
    But in the debugger mode as I can see the message it says something about:
    " ReferenceError: ActiveX Object is not defined "
    It has something with Acticve XObject. What am I missing here? Do I need install any additional component?
        data JS_CODE type STRING.
        data RETURN_JS_VAR type STRING.
        data JS_PROC type ref to CL_JAVA_SCRIPT.
        JS_PROC = CL_JAVA_SCRIPT=>CREATE( ).
        concatenate
          'var filePath = "C:
    Windows
    notepad.exe";            '
          'set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject");'
          'var string = fso.GetFileVersion(filePath);                  '
        'function Set_String()                  '
          '  { string += ", this is a Blog!"; '
          'Set_String();                          '
          'string;                                '
        into JS_CODE separated by CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF.
        JS_PROC->COMPILE( SCRIPT_NAME = 'GETVERSION.JS'
                             SCRIPT      = JS_CODE ).
        RETURN_JS_VAR = JS_PROC->EXECUTE( 'GETVERSION.JS' ).
        write RETURN_JS_VAR.

    hi Tomek,
    You have absolutely right regarding the security and the problem by using of Active X Object.
    My goal was to get the file version from the user's PC and at the beginning I used the method
    CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES->FILE_GET_VERSION but it doesn't work out. So I tried to get the version via Active X Object and it doesn't work either.
    Now I've found this function GUI_GET_FILE_INFO and it works perfectly even though it tells me that the function is absolete and suggest  to use the method FILE_GET_VERSION instead.
    Best regards
    LNN

  • Powershell to connect to network registry - via regedit.exe

    Hi,
    I've done some google searches for my query but not really having much luck so what I am asking might not exist. My current script starts the remoteregistry service on the machine you manually put in and then opens a regedit window for you to manually add
    the machine to access its registry files.
    I was wondering if there was a switch in powershell I could use to automatically open the regedit window with the machine connected.
    something like:
    Start-Process -filepath "c:\windows\regedit.exe" -ArgumentList ......
    If you need an example of what I mean. You can see in regedit under FILE you can connect to a network registry.
    Regards
    If this is helpful please mark it so. Also if this solved your problem mark as answer.

    Based on what I'm finding, the answer looks to be no.

  • Ccmsetup client install failure

    Greetings,
    I have run ccmclean.exe to uninstall the CM client, run “winmgmt /resetrepository” to rebuild the WMI repository, and manually tried re-installing the CM client from a local directory on the machine.
    I tried the above one more time, but I also ran the commands to re-register all of the DLLs, recompile the .mofs, and re-registered the WMI service/provider, as described in the following link.

  • SCCM query for file path

    For some reason, I am unable to get a query to work for an exe located at a specific file path.  I can do a query for the exe itself and get more results than I want, but I need to find it in a specific path.
    The path and file name is: c:\Program Files\NBSI\sysdll\sysserv.exe.
    Thanks!

    Hi John,
    when i tried to find a file at path like dbo.v_GS_SoftwareFile.FilePath ='c:\windows\'
    No result found.

  • Same command works with enter-pssession but not invoke-command

    I'm trying to run an executable remotely with powershell. Right now I'm trying to install Office 2013 SP1, but in the past I've had the same issue with other executables.
    The command I'm running is as follows:
    Invoke-Command -computername computer01 -scriptBlock {C:\windows\Temp\proplussp2013-kb2817430-fullfile-x86-en-us.exe /quiet}
    It finishes almost immediately, returning no result, having not installed anything.
    However, if I do the following, it works just fine:
    Enter-PSSession computer01
    C:\windows\Temp\proplussp2013-kb2817430-fullfile-x86-en-us.exe /quiet
    Any idea what my problem with Invoke-Command is?
    Eric Hodges

    I did an Enter-PSSession, then ran the command using start-process. It hangs indefinitely. I did have to change the command a little, because I couldn't just put the whole command in quotes - that gave me an error saying the file wasn't found. I separated
    it into -filepath and -argumentlist params. Below is what I ran:
    Enter-PsSession -computername computer01
    start-process -filepath "C:\windows\Temp\proplussp2013-kb2817430-fullfile-x86-en-us.exe" -argumentlist "/quiet"
    This resulted in the session hanging indefinitely. So here is where I'm at:
    Enter-PsSession then running the command works
    Invoke-command with the command immediately finishes, with no output and the program doesn't actually install
    Enter-PsSession then running start-process hangs indefinitely
    Invoke-Command plus start-process hangs indefinitely
    I was curious to see if this held true with other programs, so I tried installing a program from HP with a silent switch and got identical behavior throughout all four scenarios listed above.
    Turning off on-access A/V protection made no difference.
    Finally, regarding mjolinor's question about the program running in non-interactive environments: to the best of my knowledge the program can - but I'm not positive. I would assume, however, that invoke-command would build the same sort of environment as
    Enter-PsSession does, and it works there.

  • BCDBoot "failure when initializing library system volume"

    Hey all,
    Currently trying to troubleshoot a script/issue that I'm encountering. Here is the scenario.
    Using a PowerShell script, I'm creating a WTG stick and using Expand-WindowsImage to lay down an OS image to a volume. After this, I am executing BCDBoot to lay down the BCD store. This is all wrapped in a advanced function.
    The issue is that after the image is done being applied, my command...
    Start-Process -FilePath "${OSDriveLetter}:\Windows\System32\bcdboot.exe" -WorkingDirectory "${OSDriveLetter}:\Windows\System32" -ArgumentList "${OSDriveLetter}:\Windows /f ALL /s ${SystemDriveLetter}:"
    does not apply the BCD Store. I used the RedirectStandardOutput property to determine what the output of the command is and it returns the "failure when initializing library system volume". Here is the thing...if I suspend the script right after
    this and then execute the very same line again (variables and all) it lays down the store as expected.
    So how would one troubleshoot this? Ideas?

    Bret Snipes

    Hi Bret Snipes,
    à
    Exception calling "LoadFrom" with "1" argument(s): "Could not load file or assembly 'file:///c:\program files\Windows small business server\bin\MonitoringCommon.dll'
    or one of its dependencies.
    Would you please follow the path: C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Bin folder and check if MonitoringCommon.dll
    exists?
    Based on your above description, it seems that you create a folder
    Create-SBSMonitoringDb under C:\Windows\Temp. Then extract Create-SBSMonitoringDb.ps1 to C:\Windows\Temp\Create-SBSMonitoringDb. Would you please let me know the command which used to launch the
    Create-SBSMonitoringDb.ps1 script when open MoveDataPowerShellHost.exe? Just a confirmation. Thanks for your understanding.
    Meanwhile, please refer to following thread and check if can help you.
    Cannot
    recreate the SBSMonitoring Database
    If anything I misunderstand o any update, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

  • Uninstalled a program via PowerShell script, but it still shows up in Programs and Features

    I wrote a script that uninstalls a program just fine, but it still shows up in Programs and Features due to its entries still existing in the Registry.
    Here is a portion of my script:
    Start-Process
    -FilePath MsiExec
    -ArgumentList "/X$($MyProgram.ProdID)",
    '/quiet'
    -NoNewWindow -Wait
    -PassThru
    I believe the reason it is still showing up in Programs and Features is because I am missing some MsiExec switch to instruct it to be removed. I vaguely recall dealing with this about two years ago and I wrote a script that did exactly this, but now I completely
    forgot what it was.
    Can someone help me out here, please?
    Thank you

    I realize that, but honestly don't know where else to submit a question like this in the forums? Also, the vendor is Microsoft. What I am trying to uninstall is any Forefront component, because when I deployed the SCEP client via SCCM 2012 the SCEP client
    was not able to uninstall some of the Forefront components.

  • PSHED Plugin help

    Hi, I'm building a PSHED Plugin and I just want to get notified of any hardware errors. I put the DeviceID in the .inf file as "ACPI\PSHEDPI" as is shown in the sample INF file code online (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff559394%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396).
    I also put a compatible ID as PNP0C33,  like this:
    [Company.NTAMD64]
    %DeviceDesc%=[DefaultInstall], %DeviceId%, %CompatId%
    [Strings]
    DeviceId = "ACPI\PSHEDPI"
    CompatId = "PNP0C33"
    I always get the same error: [SC] StartService FAILED 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.
    I tried modeling mine after an HP PSHED Plugin I found on the web, but that didn't work either. That PSHED Plugin didn't specify a device at all.
    What Device ID or Compatible ID should I be using if I just want to see all errors from all devices?
    Thanks,
    Jess Howe

    OK, I fixed the DriverVer thing, but I'm still getting the same problem. I am also using the OS Test Mode so it shouldn't care about installing an unsigned driver beyond the red prompt screen asking if I'm sure and know what I'm doing. Here's the latest

    It seems to me that the error when I try to run "sc start pshedplugin" (error 1058) has to do with enabled devices and not the catalog file or driver installation, right? I think the driver is getting installed, but that the OS just isn't finding
    any hardware devices that match the device id or compatibility id specified in the INF file, right? Do we know for sure that "pnp0c33"
    is a valid device name for PSHED plugin drivers?
    Thanks for any help!
    Jess
