  • File Uploader Java Applet cannot be run

    I have a website that I need to upload PDFs to, but since ugrading to Lion, I cannot do it any more.  I have downloaded the separte Java app, but it still does not work.
    This is the error message I get:
    File Uploader Java Applet cannot be run. Make sure that Java is installed on your PC and Java applets are permitted in browser settings. Use this link to download and install appropriate version of Java:

    Thank you etresoft - that did not solve the problem.  However, I did fix it by changing something in Java Preferences (which is located in the Utilities Folder).
    I first deleted the cache files as you suggested in the Network tab.  Then I quit and restarted Firefox.  I still got the same error message when I tried to upload.
    Then, I went back into Java Preferences and checked the box, "Enable Appplet Plug-in and Webstart Applications" located in the General Tab.  I then quit and restarted Firefox.  Now I am able to upload documents as I could before Lion.
    Thank you!!

  • File upload java errors...HEEELPPP!

    All was working fine for months, now getting java errors in my ADDT. Mostly related to file uploads, or image uploads. I found that I don't get these errors in older sites that I've worked with, but I've created a new site and started from scratch and I'm still getting them.
    Here are the errors and what I'm doing:
    *I go insert record form wizard (in ADDT)
    *One field is a date, others are text, one is an integer, one is a file field
    That works ok up to here.
    *Then I choose ADDT > File upload. I get the following error immediately: "While executing canApplyserverBehavior in kb_FileUpload.htm, a javascript error occured."
    *I click ok, the wizard box attempts to load and it give me the error: "While executing onLoad in kb_FileUpload.htm, the following javascript errors occured:
    At line 354 of the file "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CS3:Configuration:Shared:DeveloperToolbox:classes:triggerUtil.js":
    TypeError: hash[transactionColumn[k]].push is not a fuction.
    I'm totally tearing my hair out, not to mention not hitting deadlines with this... can anyone help. I've tried removing the fileCache, rebuilding the site cache, removing and rebuilding the includes folder, removing and reinstalling ADDT. HEEEEEELLLLLPPP.

    Hi
    Please look into this about the destination
    Pathname of directory in which to upload the file. If not an
    absolute path (starting a with a drive letter and a colon, or a
    forward or backward slash), it is relative to the ColdFusion
    temporary directory, which is returned by the GetTempDirectory
    function.

  • Integrating font-files in java-api-alls - configuration?

    Hello!
    I have some integration of the BI-Publisher-API. Now we would like to manage some specials fonts. Since I have no controll-center like the EBS to say: this is my font-file, include this! So I am looking to get a smoother way.
    While searching the board I found this thread:
    barcode using api
    There is some similar issue. But I do not understand where to put this configure-file and how to implement this into the API-calls.
    Can anyone help me?
    My current procedure to process the document looks like this:
         private void processPDFOutput(InputStream xmlDataInputStream, InputStream xslTemplateInputStream) throws XDOException {
              pdfOutputStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
              FOProcessor foProcessor = new FOProcessor();
             foProcessor.setData(xmlDataInputStream);
             foProcessor.setTemplate(xslTemplateInputStream);
             foProcessor.setOutput(pdfOutputStream);
             foProcessor.setOutputFormat(FOProcessor.FORMAT_PDF);
             Properties cfgProps = new Properties();
             cfgProps.put("xslt._XDOTIMEZONE", "'Europe/Berlin'");
             foProcessor.setConfig(cfgProps);
             foProcessor.generate();
         }In addition I can not find a documentation whats all conmfigurable. Finding the right config for the TIMEZONE took very long time. I am interressted in what is also configurable?
    Best Regards
    and thank you for your help.
    Alexander

    Hi
    The config file is just an XML file that holds configuration information for the FO engine. All you need do is place it some where accessible so that your API code can access it. You would then call:
    foProcessor.setConfig(<<cfg location>>);
    Alternatively drop the config file into <JRE_TOP>/jre/lib and the api will go look for it automatically.
    As to what can go into the config file, lots of properties and of course the font configurations. The latest release of BIP hides the config file with some UI but if you check the following doc you can see the properties.

  • How to print PDF files using java print API

    Hi,
    I was goign throw lot of discusion and reading lot of forums related to print pdf files using java api. but nothing seems to be working for me. Can any one tell me how to print pdf files using java api.
    Thanks in advance

    Mike,
    Can't seem to get hold of the example described in your reply below. If you could let us have the URL to get then it would be great.
    My GUI application creates a pdf document which I need to print. I want to achieve this using the standard Java class PrinterJob (no 3rd party APIs I'm afraid, commercial restraints etc ..). I had a stab at it using the following code. When executed I get the pretty printer dialog then when I click ok to print, nothing happens!
    boolean showPrintDialog=true;
    PrinterJob printJob = PrinterJob.getPrinterJob ();
    printJob.setJobName ("Contract.pdf");
    try {
    if (showPrintDialog) {
    if (printJob.printDialog()) {
    printJob.print();
    else
    printJob.print ();
    } catch (Exception PrintException) {
                   PrintException.printStackTrace();
    Thank you and a happy new year.
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • File Upload Pluggable Java Component / Java Bean

    Dear Colleague,
    I integrated the File Upload java bean into one of my Forms 9i forms. I also had it up and running (!!!), but after I rebooted the machine, I no longer receive the File Upload dialog window as I did originally. When I press the button which starts the File Upload, it never displays the window to select a file. My trigger is as follows:
    begin
         /* Initialize the Java Bean */
         FileUploader.init('DOCU_BLOCK.FILE_UPLOADER','LOAD_CALLBACK_TRIGGER');
         /* Make sure the file is compressed on upload */
         FileUploader.setCompressed(true);
         /* Do the load to the c:\rolic\RKMS_documents\ directory on the server */
         FileUploader.UploadFile (:PARAMETER.file_destination);
    /* Error Handling */
    exception
    when FileUploader.FileUploaderEx then
    message (FileUploader.GetError);
    end;
    I have the "uploadclient.jar" file in my folder: C:\oracle9iDS\forms90\java
    I list the "uploadclient.jar" file in the forms config file, formsweb.cfg as follows:
    archive_jini=f90all_jinit.jar, uploadclient.jar, RKMS_images.jar
    and I reference the uploadserver.jar in the default.env file as part of the CLASSPATH as follows:
    CLASSPATH=c:\oracle9iDS\jlib\debugger.jar;c:\oracle9iDS\jlib\ewt3.jar;c:\oracle9iDS\jlib\share.jar;c:\oracle9iDS\jlib\utj90.jar;C:\oracle9iDS\forms90\java\UploadServer.jar
    =========================================================
    - Why did this work before I rebooted and now no longer???
    - Any tips? Ideas?
    =========================================================
    The uploadclient.jar file also successfully loads as shown in the Java Console:
    Oracle JInitiator: Version 1.3.1.9

    HI,
    I'm facing nearly same problem.
    When i press a button in my form to enable client to select image from there local computer, following code executes ( WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED)
    declare
         exSetup EXCEPTION;
         hButton ITEM := Find_Item('UPLOAD.SELECT');
    begin
    if (:upload.output_dir is null) then
    MsgBox.Show(MsgBox.STOP_ALERT,FileUploader90,'Error: A output directory on the middle tier must be specified');
    raise exSetup;
    end if;
    FileUploader.UploadFile(:UPLOAD.output_dir);
    /* (:UPLOAD is a control block and output directory is a text field char 1000 having initial property = D:\IMAGE) */
    exception
    When FileUploader.FileUploaderEx then
         MsgBox.Show(MsgBox.STOP_ALERT,FileUploader90,'Error During Upload: '||FileUploader.getError);
    When exSetup then
    null;
    end;
    There is no compiliation error.
    Runtime error is " Error During Upload: Desitnation directory does not exists or is not writeable ".
    Infact destination directory D:\IMAGE exists and is readable/writable to any one ??

  • How to call Java API

    Hi,
    Currently I am getting inputs from another composite, lets say Composite A and in composite B I need to pass the input values ( approx 40 elements are coming from composite A) to Java API ( end system). I have jar file for java API which has 20 different classes. Can you guys suggest me how to map the input values that are coming from composite A to Java API.
    I developed a Bpel process which receives the input from Composite A. Please suggest me for next steps and procedure to follow.
    Thanks.

    I would look into using the Spring component and wrapping your java api in a simple sprint bean class. SOA will then generate WSDL's and do marshalling/unmarshalling of the data between your BPEL and the spring component automatically. It will just look like another service call from within the BPEL but will actually invoke your spring component.
    Thanks,
    Adam DesJardin

  • File Uploading Too quickly

    Does anyone else have a problem with the FileReference file
    upload event handlers when the file size is too small? I've
    registered most of the event handlers with the FileReference
    object, but after select, none of them are caught. This only
    happens with I use a small file, about 50-60 kb. On a larger file
    it doesn't seem to be a problem. My app really needs to know when a
    file has been uploaded. Any suggestions?

    On this same subject, I neglected to change sampling rates correctly when going from 48k DAT tape to computer for iTunes. The music is now at 44.1 which I want, but the speeds are too fast.
    I found that if I modify the sampling rate to 40,200 and let the pitch and time change with it, I can match the original and resave. (I subtracted the same amout from 44.1 as that is from 48).
    Is there a better, easier way that makes more sense? I have the ability to just change the pitch and remain at 44.1 but I don't know by how much.
