Files are not saving (exp: Notepad,Paint, Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

Am using XP professional SP3 and last 3days am facing fallowing problem. If i try to save any type of file "Notepad/Word/Paint/MS Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint" i unable to save and it showing one pop up and after that it would close that application.

Also, check events logs. Post the same along with the screenshot.

Can you be more specific? What do you mean, "aren't saved properly"? How are they being saved?

Hello everybody!
I have a NAS server (QNAP storage).I want to have some folders with these permissions :
1.nobody can create or delete folders in first parent folders (blue folder and red folders )
2.everybody can create/save folders,docs... in it. (Black folders)
when I set permission like picture below,people can not save documents in Excel or Word format in folders ( I have this problem just for Word and Excel).they face with errors : document not saved / access denied,contact your administrator.
special permission for blue folder (domain users)
(include inheritable permission) and (replace all child subfolders...) are unchecked.
traverse / execute files
List folders/ read data

special permission for red folder :

How are the rights configured to be inherited? Could you do a "icacls <folder>" on each level and post it back.
Also worth considering is that this is a Linux Samba system, so it might not work as a regular windows system.

In cs6, my preview files are not saving on my Dynamic Link AE comps when i reopen the project

i cant figure out the life of me what seems to be the problem
This has been going on for a long time for me, dont know if anybody else has this problem, but for me, when i render out the whole entire sequence, everthing has the green bar, i save, i quit and reopen, the red bar appears and i have to re render all the Dynamic link comps again! its really annoying, i feel like its just collecting more space every time i do this
Any fix for this, and here are my specs
Macbook Pro early 2011
Processor 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB
and im running mountain lion

Keynote files are not saving in iCloud for access by other devices

I have a Macbook Pro and an iMac. When I save a Keynote presentation on the cloud, so that I can access it from the other device, I can see that the file, but there is a message below it that says "waiting".

I just can't get a keynote file on my Mac to show up in iCloud on the web or on my new iPad Air 2.
The file is in the "mobile documents" folder but it is NOT showing up on my iPad. I need this for a presentation tomorrow on my iPad.
There's no indication on my Mac that there is any problem. It just doesn't show up on my iPad, where I need it.

Files are not saving!

I have a mini mac and anytime I try to save anything on the computer it doesnt save or wont show up where ever i saved them at.

Create a new account, name it "test" and see how your "Save" works in that User acct? (That will tell if your problem is systemwide or limited to your User acct.) This account is just for test, do nothing further with it.
Open System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" make it an admin account.
Let us know and we'll troubleshoot this further.

I just upgraded to Lion only to get the message that I can no longer use my Office (word/excel/powerpoint). Why doesn't apple tell you these things. You'd think they wouldn't be interested in making money for their arch rival usoft. What R the options?n

What are the options other then to re-partition the disk and run lion in one and leopard in another. I suppose I can go over to Google and use their web tools which are compatible with Office. This *****. So much for backward compatability.

Apple makes the Operating System, not the 3rd party apps. In such a big step as upgrading the OS, the user would be the one responsible for making sure that any key apps that they use are compatible with the new OS before taking the step and upgrading.

Files are not getting posted in destination directory,how to trace in XI

our scenario is proxy to file.
We are posting files of .TRG and .DAT format in destination directory.Due to less space in destination directory, files only .TRG files are getting posted but .DAT are not getting posted.but i have checked in XI system SXMB_MONI,no error message is coming.message is getting processed successfully.
why it is not visible and to monitor that files are not saved at the destination.
Is this normal with XI that we can not see of files are really saved?

If No Space, The error will pops out in RWB .
Check the directory of the File Adapter you are using

Files are not getting updated in sharepoint 2013 because of office upload center error

Dear Team,
I am getting upload failed/upload error in Office Upload Center.
Scenario: I opened excel(version is 2013) file from sharepoint 2013 application and closed and after updating. Later when I opened the file I got error like "UPLOAD FAILED We are sorry this didn't work. Try saving again later and if that still doesn't
work, click save a copy."
I found the error is because file is getting upload failed / upload error in microsoft office upload center2013.
Please let me know if anyone know the solution for my issues

Hi Girishkg,
The default IIS limit for the upload file size is 30MB. If the selected files are larger than 30MB, the files are not uploaded.
The limit can be set in web application’s web.config file or in IIS .

MS Office 2007 files are not being indexed (Failed to Index) in oracle

Oracle is not able to index MS Office 2007 files who are having extensions like *.docx, *.pptx, *.xlsx. I googled and found that its a bug in oracle. Have they released the fixes for it.
Request to please help me in this regard

FTP login and password are not saved on some sites

On some of my sites the FTP login and password are not saved
(even though the "saved" box is checked). Dreamweaver 8.0 on XP
SP2. I can export the site information and then import the same
file exported and there still will be no login or password placed
in the login or password window. I opened the exported .ste files
in notepad and found the login correct and the password incorrect.
I uninstalled Dreamveaver and reinstalled still same
problem.

Ok, I just spent about 3 hours on this. Here's the latest
that I've found. I had looked at the knowledgebase and my registry
matched what was suggested. As this has been an ongoing issue for
me, I thought it was still an issue. Apparently 8.02 did have some
improvements.
I can only guess that many of the 36 sites I have in the Site
Manager lost info before the .02 update.. or I hope so.
I did however discover that there is still what could be
considered a minor bug. I went in to Manage Sites and selected edit
for all of my sites, fixing the ones that had lost their user/pass
info. I'm not positive, but I think only the last edited site kept
it's data.
I discovered after many checks on all the sites, over and
over and over, that it appears that they are now holding the data,
but, if I add the user/pass, I must not only click the OK button to
close that particular site, but I must also click the 'Done' button
before only that one will be saved.
So, I thought I was fixing logins when in fact I was only
fixing one at a time.. Completely closing 'Manage Site' seemed to
hold one new set of login data each time. Seems that it shouldn't
be this way.
But I must say, I am rejoicing at the moment, as I actually
have all my sites set up with FTP info and I am now looking forward
to hopefully adding more and maybe they'll actually be available
for the next editing session.

According to your post, my understanding is that changes to Excel files are not getting updated.
I recommend to configure Excel Services data refresh by using Secure Store and an external Office Data Connection (ODC) file.

If you use PowerPivot, you can refer to:

We are using MS-office 2013.We are not able to open the Two word document simultaneously at a time and sometimes it is showing pop in word and not able to open the pop-up word document.

The way which i posted the question is not so clear.I want clarification in MS-Office word 2013.
I have opened the fresh word 2013 and working on the word to prepare some documents.
When i try to open the another saved word document it is overlapping one after another and the second word document showing blinking message and not able to open the second document.It is closing the second word document automatically.I can able to work
with only one opened document and not able to open multiple word documents at a same time.
The second question is How many word documents can be opened in a computer at a same time?Our work is based on word document only. some of the users are opening the different word documents in the same computer minimum six or seven word documents
and working on the same.
Suppose if we are opening and working with multiple word & excel file at a same time whether it will affect the system slow?

Addressing number that can be open at once...
This is a function of available RAM and hard drive space (although if you get into memory paging you really can slow down). It depends on the document size and also on processor speed. I have had 30 documents open at once. I often use Excel and Word at the
same time. The more you have open, the slower your system will be, although it may not be noticed until you push the limits.
