Same application-different servers-different response

Hi,
I've an 'ear' file which deployed on weblogic81 on two linux machines and runs through a cron. The specifications of the two machines are identical but the process involved on one machine and on other working absolutely fine.
The process starts with the help of a shell script.
Can anyone suggest me what i can check to track the different responses.

I don't understand your problem as you don't indicate how the responses differ.
Are you running the real-time VM on one system? If not then this is the wrong forum - try finding one for weblogic.

Same code; different response

I am using an extremely simple script that I've used at least
a half dozen times on different projects and it has always worked
before. Spent hours re-pasting code, trying variations and this
stupid thing won't work. There's an iTunes gift certificate for the
first person that helps me solve this insane dilemma. Here's the

So in this case it should jump to frame label "m1"
but the code is just ignored.
As I mentioned, I have this working in about 6 different
projects and it always functions. I have copied and pasted the code
over and over, trying to find the bug. Completely lost.

I tried quickly adding
_root
to
_root.gotoAndPlay(label)
And it works fine! Amazing how I never needed that before and
all of the other files still function. Chalk it up to bugs in the
software I guess. Seen enough with this dodgy program over the
years!

OC4Js on different servers sharing the same application

Does anyone have some suggestions to how I can get non-clustered mid-tier OC4Js to share the same application stored on a shared NFS mount?
Right now, what I've done is created the OCJ4_Dev1 on mid1 and OC4J_Dev2 on mid2, then changed their server properties for application and application deployments to point to the shared NFS, but different directories.
Is there some way they can use the same directory? I can think of a number of ways of doing this with links etc, but maybe has some better ideas? Basically, I want the same "source" for two different OC4Js, but without confusing the instance configurations.

I think there are many options around this, but a simple way I managed it was to have 2 windows accounts,and each with a different iTunes library. I think you can now share multiple libraries on the one account, I'm sure there's an answer in the support pages here.

How can I make different windows of the same application I have open remain on their respective desktops/spaces after reboot?

I use the same applications for work, entertainment and other personal activities, so it's impossible to simply assign different apps to different desktops/spaces. Thus, I have open windows of the same programs (Pages, TextEdit, Preview) arranged on several desktops. If I reboot my laptop, the windows are just crammed on Desktop 1. Can something be done about it?

many thanks for your efforts and your time (preparing and posting the screenshot, answering to this question,...).
Unfortunately, moving the focus to the next window only works with windows on the same desktop.
btw, using a german keyboard layout and german language settings the shortcut is "cmd+<".
I can switch with this shortcut between different windows of my Safari which reside on the same desktop, but I cannot swith between different safari windows distributed over several desktops.

How to execute 2 different application from same Application Server

What other DB are you using to launch it beside the one you quoted? Is it the MRep DB of infra?

APM how to create APM application group for same application but different application paths

Hi all,
We have few applications which are of same name but different application path.
Please check the screenshot. When we create different application groups using APM wizard, we still get errors mentioning the conflict. How to resolve this issue.

Same application that works on different database user

I have an application wiritten in htmldb 1.6 taht create areport on a table.
But on the database i have a lot of different user (each table of each user have different information)
Can i use the same application with connection on differnet user???

There is a lots of issue to get actual solution of your problem .
If your previous application that use the HTMLDB 1.6 to create a report based on the underlying tables for that particular schema.But if like to switch into different schema for that database then you have to create a workspace pointing to the intended schema which have the same underlying table details as earlier and you have to deploy your application for that schema to re-use it .So the deployed application must use the same tables that your earlier schema does otherwise the application may fail to generate the report.

Same Application connecting to different schemas

I currently have a single version of my application that is tied to a workspace/schema. My client is now requesting to have the same application connect to additonal test and training schema so they can play (without changing live data).
What is the best approach for setting this up. Do I create a new workspace for each schema they want and import my application into it? Do I need to change the application ID when I import so the URL is different for each connection?

You probably want to create a workspace for each schema. I don't think you can re-use application ids in your situation where the workspaces are all in a single APEX installation.
You could specify an appropriate alias for your application in each workspace and address the application using the alias

Using 2 different JREs on the same application

I have my java application which must use JRE java1.5. It is mandatory.
However, for just one fonctionnality, I want to use JRE java1.6 which have a bug fixed on a given class method.
Is there a way to use both JREs one same application?
Can I indicate that, for calling the corrected method, I want to use JRE 1.6 instead of the default JRE of the project (Java 1.5)?

Same environment - different prints

I've got an issue with a print, a CAD drawing where different lines are missing. Funny thing: another installation (same hardware, same adobe version) does it properly. Settings seem to be the same.
It's not a general problem! Other documents work fine. Was hoping that an update (10.1.3 to 11.0.0) might help, but but it didn't.
When I use foxit instead of adobe reader it works!
Now I'm thinking to completely clean the settings to default. How can I do that? Is there an option (preferences) or do I have to delete certain files?

It shouldn't be a problem to share environment variables between environments.
But, you may run into variable-dependency problems very quickly like, for e.g.,
FORTE_ROOT, FORTE_NS_ADDRESS, FORTE_GC_SPECIAL which you may want to have
different values in each environment. Not to mention that it's even more
confusing when the same application is running in two different environments and
expecting different values in some application-specific variables on the same
machine.
You are better off by launching the environments with two different logins on
the same machine. This would reduce the interdepedencies.

Hi. I'm having a weird experience on opening document using
the Microsoft word 2008 application in MAC OS X.
To be specific on what is the scope of my application.
What I'm trying to do is run or simulate my application on appletviewer on a certain pop-up HTML
document. The first part of my statement block on my code doing well on
executing the downloading process of a file and save it on local machine.
This portion of works fine.
But the thing that I'm having some difficulties is
whenever i Re-opened the downloaded file from my local machine
that is being downloaded from my server.
I'm trying to established a checking or triggering pattern that the
file from my local machine was modified or not.

Now the weird things happen here.
The file was able to opened- as I wanted to, but when a made changes or not doing anything.
The Microsoft Word 2008 application on the MAC Activity Monitor. The instance was still alive or
keep running and I execute MAC commands being implement on the Process on the Terminal and it still
stuck in that thing. which means I have to manually kill the process of the said application on
the GUI part of Task Manager of MAC and my 2nd statement on the if replies.
Any thoughts will glady appreciated.

When I play my animation in different browsers it don't look the same as in the preview. In IE some of the parts of the animation have disappeared and in Chrome the pats are no longer in their right places. See picture below.
How do I do to make the animations look the same in different browsers?
(In the end I want to use the animations in my captivate 8 project. )

Ah, found the issue, the problem is with the name of the two images,
genomförande (instead you can use genomforande)
Grå bakgrund (instead you can use grabakgrund)
Seems like IE is having issue with those special characters.
