Fill data in 2 fields on selection screen from a search help
Hi,
I have defined a custom search help as given below.
Selection Method : ZTSTCT
Search Help Parameters :
TCODE Importing & Exporting
TTEXT Exporting Only
I have two parameters in my report as declared below:
PARAMETERS : tcode TYPE tstct-tcode MATCHCODE OBJECT zm_tstc,
ttext TYPE tstct-ttext.
Now whenever a user selects any TCODE in the help ZM_TSTC, I need both the fields on the selection screen to be filled with appropriate data. When I tested the search help in SE11, both fields are getting filled with appropriate data but in the report only the field TCODE gets filled. Is there any way to get the other field also filled with the appropriate data ?

Use the Event.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN AT tcode.
Use the select query from the method ZTSTCT.
select single TTEXT into ttext from ZTSTCT where TCODE = TCODE.
you will get the value of TTEXT .

Hi all,
We are running on SRM 4.0.I have a query regarding the Selection screen which appears for the Product Search when we click on the "inetrnal Goods/Servcies" link...
I have developed a Z-serch help for the Product search wherein i have control of all the other fields lik "Product ID"," Product description " etc..But not "Maximum no of hits" (since it is a part of the std functionality)...In the selection sceen field " Maximum no of hits" ,whatever value i enter that value is not considered...So is there any way that this field is not diplayed on screen/can be disabled(made an O/p field)...
All suggestions are welcome....Please help...

You're talking about COLLECTIVE search help. You won't definie Max No of hit at this level.
Define an elementary search help and assign to this one a dialog mode (retriction or set of values).

Hi Experts,
I am using Logical Data Base PNP.
Created a custom search help to validate the records for IT000 based on the selection screen dates.
Enter the DATEs for Data Selection Period and Person selection period in the selection screen.
When I for search help for PERNR field in the same report, I need the selectin screen DATE values to be in user-exit of search help.
This will help me in validating the records for specific employees within the date range of given DATE in selectin period.
As of now it's picking the employees based on the DATE selection of selection screen,

Hello,
We have a requirement to Set only the To date in the Created on Field in Selection screen to the Current date, I have tried through Dynamic variable option to set the Date calculation but I am able to see Options to set the Current date to From or From and To Created on Date fields instead of setting the Current date only to To created on Field.
We are in 4.7 and are not supported with user defined variables, Appreciate your inputs on this.

what Text field you want to change.
Since you are working with Dynpros , you have to split the screen in two parts, and one for the Showing differenet fonts and other your normal Dynpro information.
you need to use the Method ADD_TEXT Did you check the program DD_STYLE_TABLE. -

if it is a normal report program then you can directly create a Selection screen field.
After the Type-pool you can use Parameters or Select-options to create the selection screen field..
If it is a Modulpool program then you can create a selection scren field like

At selection-screen output (code section 13), set "1" to the field REQUIED by using MODIFY SCREEN code .
(You can get Dynpro number by F1 key or T-cd SE51 )

Once you copied the standard report to Z report, you can MTART in selection screen like below.
and in order to inlcude the same in programming logic, we have three option.
1) Check all related select queries, and include MTART in SELECT query using inner join with MARA.
2) In START-OF-SELECTION event fill MATNR as shown below.
3) If user entered any value in MTART, then before displaying the report just check material type of each material in the final internal table(which is used to display report) delete enteries from internal table accordingly.

Restrict values for F4 on field in Selection-screen
Hi,
For f4 on particular field I am getting list of values. These values are fixed in Value Range of DOMAIN of that field. There are 26 values fixed for that DOMAIN. Now what I need is I need to restrict 26th value from displaying on F4 for that field in selection screen.
I tried doing it in AT SELECTION SCREEN OUTPUT event using F4_ON_VALUE REQUEST FM, fetching data and deleting 26th entry , but before i delete it, It shows all values in selection-screen.
Please any one guide me.

Mandatory parameter field in selection screen
Hi Experts,
As there are 2 options to get the input from the user. When I use select options because I need to make the field mandatory, it displays the output(blank) whenever there is no input/irrelevant input. When I use parameters, I cannot make it mandatory.
I need to display text boxes in the selection screen which should be mandatory and should only proceed when the user enters relevant data.
Please note that I have put the validation in the select options for a field like month as:
if s_month-low > '12' or s_month < '1'.
MESSAGE 'Please enter a valid month' type 'E'.
endif.
but for a id, there is a search help. If the user do not enter the value from a search help, it displays the blank output. How to put validation on this?

You can do a validation at AT Selection Screen.Basically it will do a select single and try to fetch any line item.
A sample example as follows..
At Selection-Screen on S_DATE.
if S_date is not initial.
Perform validatedate.
Endif.
Form Validatedate.
Select single date
from DB table
where date in S_date.
endform.
if Sysubrc ne 0.
MESSAGE 'Please enter a valid month' type 'E'.
endif.
