Fillable PDF calling for multiple signatures

My goal is to create online fillable PDF files to attach to our company employee intranet, which these employees can find, fill out and either email to another employee, print, or submit to a particular department. These PDF's also need signatures on them, and some call for up to 5 signatures from different employees. What is the best way to go about creating this? I am pretty familiar in creating a PDF document but cant figure out how to add a signature field that employees without Acrobat can sign, and also how to have these forms able to be sent from person to person for signatures. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
And I am using Acrobat Pro XI.

Are you asking about digital signatures or hand-drawn e-signatures? If digital signatures, you add digital signature fields with Acrobat. They are a type of form field, so you can add them in form editing mode. For the signature fields to work with Reader, the document has to be Reader-enabled, either with Acrobat or LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

How do you prepare a PDF file for 4 signatures & dates?

    Hi,
You can achieve this by using text tags. EchoSign Text Tags are specially formatted text that can be placed anywhere within the content of your
document specifying the location, size, type of fields such as signature and initial fields, check boxes, radio buttons and form fields, and advanced optional field processing rules. Text Tags can also be used as names of PDF Form fields.
Text Tags are converted into EchoSign form fields when the document is sent for signature or uploaded to the EchoSign Document Library. EchoSign Text Tags can be placed in any document type such as PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and text files (.txt, .rtf)
Please refer to page 5 ( date) and 10 (signature) of the Creating Adobe Echosign Forms With Text Tags. The document can be found here

  • How to make Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP  Pages to PDF available for multiple users connected to the same Citrix server

    Hi,
In my previous endeavours to solve this business requirement where multiple users will be able to use the Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP pages inside SAP to PDF, I was told that it is not possible to do this for multiple users at the same time. However I have found an article according to which it says it is possible. Could you check it once and let me know if this article can be used for implementing the requirement stated above as this link clearly indicates that Adobe Acrobat is supported on Citrix.
Please find the link below where it states it is adobe acrobat is supported in Citrix for multiple users.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/citrix.html.

    1. What is the Acrobat feature that you mean? There's nothing specific to SAP included with Acrobat.
    2. Yes, some Terminal Server configurations appear supported (check carefully). All users of the terminal server will need a license, so far as I know - total licenses = total individual people using.

  • How to make Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP  Pages to PDF available for multiple users connected to the same server

We have installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro- English,Francais,Deutsch version 10.1.9 in our test environment and tried  testing it for converting SAP pages into PDF with a few pilot users. In doing so we faced a challenge, where only one user at a time can use Adobe Acrobat PRO to convert SAP pages in to PDF.As long as the first user who  is connected to Adobe Acrobat Pro via SAP isn’t logged off, other users connected to the same  server  are not being able to get the “Save As” dialog box to save the PDF in their preferred location.
This is a business requirement and we need an urgent solution for the same. Can anyone help us in telling us if this is possible and if yes the how to go about?

It's not something we deal with here, the LiveCycle products are a different world. Key points: Adobe LiveCycle is a range of products, some desktop, some server. LiveCycle PDF Generator is the one you should look at, it comes in 3 editions. License terms are by negotiation. Key management is via its Java API.

  • "Find and Replace" for field names in a fillable PDF

Is it possible to do a "Find and Replace" for the field names in a fillable PDF? For example, I have multiple fields that contain the word "Proposed Insured" as part of the field name and would like to find and replace all of them with "Owner". Is there an easy way to do this?

Not really. Even a script can't just rename a field. It needs to create a
new field on top of the old one, but then you lose all the associated
settings, like validation, calculation, format, keystroke, etc.

  • Single PDF for Multiple transactions

    Hi,
As of now we are getting multiple PDF files for Multiple transactions in the single extract file. But is there any possibility to generate single pdf file with all the transactions. Im not sure where we need to change in the FSISYS.INI file. Can anybody help on this. Is there any option like that???
we are using 11.4 environment and input is an extract file. Please let me know if any details required.
    Many Thanks,
    Vamshi Mundla.

    Hi,
I am just trying to give some additional information on this one. Here is a snippet from the PDF handbook.
    Option:
SpoolBatches Enter Yes to tell the PDF Print Driver to print an entire batch of transaction to a single PDF file. The default is No.
    Please do keep in mind...
    • To create a linearized PDF file (for page-at-a-time downloading), you must set this option to No.
    • If you are using single step processing, you must set this option to No.
In addition to this, you must also turn off the MultiFilePrint callback function. To do this, remove or comment out the CallbackFunc option. Here is an example of commenting out the CallbackFunc option:
    < Print >
    ; CallbackFunc = MultiFilePrint
You cannot generate linearized PDF files if you set the SpoolBatches option to Yes because when linearizing, the PDF Print Driver must have the entire contents of the PDF
file in memory. Since batches can be very large, it is not practical to keep an entire batch in memory.
    Important point for your reference:
I just went through the FAQ in the below link and understood that there are some problems when you try to create a single PDF for a batch as a whole - Acrobat Reader only display the first transaction in a PDF file which contains multiple transactions.
    FAQ Book link -> http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16256_01/faq_book.pdf
    PDF Handbook -> http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16256_01/pdf_book.pdf
I did not get a chance to explore much on this. Please explore if it helps. Thank you.

  • Errors and fields disapering in a fillable PDF file

I don't know much about Acrobat so forgive me if the problem below is just a lack of proper training and not a real problem but this is my issue:
I have fillable PDF forms with digital signature fields on SharePoint 2010. People are filling it out and adding signatures (using Reader or Pro). For the most part everything works fine. Sometimes however some PDF files are having the following issues:
There is an error message on open: This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document.
Some fields that were previously populated disappear (not just the value, the entire field).
When I try to print it I get the message: The Document could not be printed. And when I click ok: There were no pages selected to print
When I go to the signature panel and open the last signed version everything seems to be working OK (fields are there, I can print, no error message).
Any idea what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks!

That will be difficult as it contains some sensitive data. Since the last signed version is correct is it possible to revert to that version? I am still trying to find a pattern here but it already happened 3 times. Any idea what can be causing it?

  • Multiple signatures - only ever displays one

I have multiple email accounts - with, understandably, the need for multiple signatures.
When I hit reply from (let's call it) Account 1, the Account 1 signature is used.
When I hit reply from Account 2, the Account 1 signature is used!
It's pretty annoying. Yes the two accoutn have different signatures applied to them. If I swap the order in the 'Inbox' list Account 2's signature becomes the 'default' - so Account 1 & 2 use Account 2's signature...so it recognises they're different, it just isn't performing as expected.
What have I missed? Or am I going back to Thunderbird that just makes this so simple?

Did you rename each signature? Eg. Account 1 sig, account 2 sig?
Try Mobileme help - even if its Mail and you might not use it, they've chat help and might solve it.
Before you do, try troubleshooting by:
    1. Going to/creating a new user account.
    2. Open Mail in it.
    3. Go to Prefs>Accounts and add each of your accounts.
    4. Then try the sigs and see if the issue remains.
They'd ask you to do this anyways....

  • Insert a graphic into a fillable pdf

I used WordPerfect X7 to create a fillable PDF timesheet for my son to email to his employer. The sheet requires a signature on each line and the number of days he works each week is flexible. I have created  a jpg file containing his signature. Is there a way to set up the fillable PDF to add the graphic to each line as it is needed?

What application are they using to fill in the form? If Reader then they can use the Place Signature tool.

  • Available/Unavailable for multiple Queues on CCX5

    Hi,
We have agents who take calls for multiple Queues and need to be able to make themselves available/unavailable on different days. At present they do this through multiple logins (one for each queue-not ideal). Any suggestions? Dont want to depend on Supervisor to maintain.
    Thanks
    Rich

The product is currently designed to require administrator or supervisor intervention through /appadmin skill level assignments to do this. You can submit a Product Enhacement Request, or attach yourself to an existing one if already requested, through your Cisco AM.

  • Submit button on fillable PDF doesn't work on all computers??????

I have created several fillable PDF's for a medical office which has a submit button at the bottom. The button is supposed to send the completed PDF to the office admin's email. It works great on my computers in the office, and on a few other test computers I've ask people to try it on, but I received an email from the office admin today saying that an important VIP tried filling out one of the forms today and it didn't do anything at all. Also, another person at the medical office tried filling out a test form and submitting it and they said "Once we hit submit, it did nothing!"
What do I do? I am at a loss and this client has paid for all services and I am stuck!!! Please help...
Here is the site and all the paperwork. http://ocmedicalgroup.com/patient_info/patient_info.html
I can email all original PDF's if needed.

Regarding the security, you can set up the form to submit securely to a web server, and submit just the form data, which can later be easily imported into a blank form to create a filled-in form. The way it's currently set up, you have to Reader-enable the documents, which allows Reader to save a filled-in form. But there are licensing restrictions that go along with this. In short, if an enabled document is distributed to more than 500 recipients, as it is when posting to a publicly accessible web site, the licensee may use data from no more than 500 instances of a returned form, including hard copies. You as the developer cannot supply Reader-enabled documents to your client for their general use - another licensing restriction. They will need to purchase Acrobat to enable the documents themselves. All of this is avoided if you set up the form to just submit the form data to a secure web server, at the expense of maintaining the server.
Regarding the problem with getting what you currently have set up to work, it all depends on the particular user's setup. I would say the minumum requirement is Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat, preferably versions 8-10. If they don't have a working email client, it will allow them to save the file on their system which they can then manually attach to an email. This is so folks can use a web-based email system to send the file.

  • How do you send a fillable pdf for completion and signature? Thanks!

Goodmorning, I just saw that you can send a fillable pdf for signature and this will allow the person to fill out the contract, sign and email back. The one time I tried that it did not work. What are the steps, or a link to the directions, to do this?
    Thanks so much,
    Carolyn

  • When trying to send a pdf for multiple digital signatures, it keeps erroring out.  What are some reasons?

I am having trouble sending out a document for digital signatures for multiple people.  I enter the signature fields and click on Distribute.  It then allows me to choose the receiving parties.  I click on <SEND> and it processes for a moment and then I receive the following two errors:  "Failed to send" followed by "Form distribution is aborted".  It was working for me earlier and isn't now.  I am fairly new to Acrobat and especially Digital Signatures.  What are some possible reasons I am getting this error?

I finally got the document to send out by unclicking the "Collect name & email from recipients to provide optimal tracking" button, however, the responses come in as anonymous, so it's not real helpful with tracking my responses.  Plus, I don't know if I'll encounter problems with follow up.  The normal tracking system allows me to resend a message to those who have not responded.  Now I guess I would just resend the request to those I have determined have not signed.  Still working through the bugs but I'll update what I know and figure out here.  Perhaps I will come to a solid solution and give a better summary.
As of now, I am sending and receiving responses... but the recipients have to change the received file to save as it is coming to them as read-only.  Seems like this should be a whole lot less complicated.

  • Multiple Digital Signatures in Adobe Acrobat XI - PDF locks after first signature is saved

I am working with a fillable pdf that was set up by an administrator to have multiple DIGITAL ID/SIGNATURES inputted, i.e. it does not allow images of signatures or text; when you click on the signature field, it ONLY prompts the insertion of a Digital ID. This form requires multiple signatures and editing/text from diverse people. I need to sign it and then circulate it to these other people. For some reason, when I insert the first digital ID and save it, the pdf becomes locked - it is no longer fillable, and no one else can edit or even insert their own signatures. What can I do to allow editing/additional signatures to be inputted after putting in my signature and saving the document? PLEASE HELP.

I don't know where I could post it...Could you please tell me how I might check if signature fields are set to "read only" or not? I have been looking through this pdf for so long and I don't even see the option to do that. When I click on the signature field, it just prompts me to insert the digital signature...there isn't much information displayed at all.
