Filling space will null components...

I have been trying to find a way to fill in blank spaces in both a gridlayout and flowlayout, to squeeze existing components together. I thought that I could just add a null component to the panel but that doesnt work. Is there a good way to do this, or should I just create regular components and set their visibility to false?

I wouldn't create any null components. That's a hack that will only make debugging a bigger nightmare as the layout gets more complex. Also, because you are trying to fill in blank spaces FlowLayout should not be used at all - since it may display radically different when resized, etc. Using GridLayout and setting components to false will work but its somewhat ugly.
There's a very simple yet effective Layout manager that combines the usefulness of FlowLayout and GridLayout. It is called VerticalLayout, is simple to use, and is free to download. I highly reccommend it.

How much free space will be left after import ?

Hallo. I need to replace all schemas on integration server using those on production server. I want to know how much free space will be left on /data at integration server after this kind of refresh. Both databases are Oracle 9 so I will use exp/imp. Here is how I do it. Could you check if I think good? On target server there is 72 GB free space on /data.

Overall size of schemas to be exported from SOURCE_DB is 150 GB. The same schemas on TARGET_DB takes 90GB. So difference is 60GB. Free space in datafiles in TARGET_DB is 30GB. Does it mean that in first place the free space in datafiles will be filled and after that datafiles would be extended? That would mean that a database would extend to 150GB and free space on /data would be 40 GB after refresh. Am I right?

Problem with 'Filling Space' described in Tim's Blog

Dear Experts,
I am using the Invoice Template described in the excellent Blog by Tim Dexter (Anatomy of a Template) to produce my own version. However, I am having problems with the 'Filling Space' described here: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2007/03/anatomy_of_a_template_ii_heade.html
My template is almost identical to the example, when I import XML data where there is only one record, the Filling Space does not pad out with enough empty rows so that the Total table is not at the bottom of the page, aligned with the watermark that I have. The code in the 'Filling Space' field is as in the Blog:

If the number of records is greater than half a page or more, then the padding is correct. This is even if, say on the third page there is just one record. Therefore, it seems the padding does not work if the number of records are less than half a page in total.
Is this correct and does anyone have a solution - would be greatly appreciated.

This statement is wrong.
Leave the if conditions logic,
This is how it works,..
xml contains 43 rows...
each page you need 10 rows..
after every 10th rows [using position mod 10 ,] , you put a page break...
if the mod returns greater than 0, that means row filler has to come into effect now.
what is the logic now to have row fillers is , 10 - 3 [position mod 10] , comes to 7... so seven blank rows should be inserted..
this is how , it works...
so the statement, saying, less than half of page, or something, wont come into this :).

just curious... I have LP 9 on my computer, and my disk is getting, well, fuller (250G or so left). How much disk space will be taken if install LP X next to LP 9? Am I correct that LP X will re-use the old libraries and just adds new content to it? Just curious how much my HD will shrink...
For the time being, I want to keep LP9 alongside LP X for old projects with 32 bit plugins.

Well... I took the plunge... it seems that the additional content is around 20...25 GB.
When I first installed LP X and opened one of my LP 9 projects, the instruments sounded like toy instruments. LP X obviously didn't "know" yet that the HQ samples were already on my harddisk. After I started downloading the additional content LP X apparantly checked what it needed, and suddenly my old projects sounded fine.

Have you checked in your System Preferences that Spaces shortcuts are enabled?
Sometimes if your using the keyboard for shortcuts (like the Fn keys) they can get thrown off by something like the Caps lock etc.,
Have you tried double clicking on the Spaces program in the Applications/Utiltiies folder (yes it does run!)
It could be the program for it is corrupted or there is some sort of permissions issue.

I can not say how much space the index will take? But its always better to create an Index after your table is populated with data. Since you are doing the same it will boost the performance.
2) Choose the proper tablespace for Index. Whether the same tablespace in which your table is or use separate tablespace for Index.

The fix was to completely remove all Apple Software following guides in previous posts.
Then download and re-install latest iTunes 64-bit, making sure to Run As Administrator.
This fixed it. Now the next thing seems to be that as I move from one device to another to close and restart iTunes between each one. Treat it gently. It seems to break easily and a lot.

Untill the administrator doesn't specify QUOTA or grant UNLIMITED TABLESPACE to user Oracle account doesn't have available space in any tablespace, event in default:

Right now, there is no way to upload and access photos in iCloud. You need to import them to a computer if you want to be able to retrieve them later:

Deleting Aperture will not create much free space, it is just one GB.
But you can open any Aperture library in iPhoto, if the versions are compatible. To open an Aperture 3.5.1 library you need iPhoto 9.5.1.
Before you delete Aperture make sure, that you have no photos rejected in Aperture. iPhoto will not be able to reveal any Aperture rejected photos, just as Aperture cannot reveal any photos that have been hidden in iPhoto.

How to use blank space replace NULL on discoverer viewer

There is a report that has a varchar field should show text values, and if NULL, I need it show blank space, and does in disco desktop, but on viewer, the same worksheet shows NULL.
Even I changed in the Tools - Options - Format menu(desktop), it still show NULL on viewer.

Hi Sammy,
Unfortunately ‘some’ of the settings set in Desktop do not carry over to Viewer. These options need to be defined for Viewer itself.
A temporary way to set the Viewer settings is to click on ‘Options’ when logged in Viewer itself. You’ll have to open a responsibility or report before this option becomes available to select. Within here you’ll be able to change the way NULL values are seen. However this method only makes the change for the User you logged in with.
To make the change for all users, it’s best to edit the PREF.TXT file on the Discoverer Server. Please view the documentation below for more information on how to configure Viewer. For windows platform click here : http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/A90287_01/toc.htm,
For Unix platform click here : http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/A90288_01/toc.htm. Once you’ve run the applypreference script, these settings will be forced down to all users of Discoverer.
