Filter for two dynamic dates

Hi all,
I wanted to create a report such that i can see only last 20days of data. Basically i wanted to use a date filter, what is the exact syntax for the filter?
The data in the table is in DD-MON-YYYY format.
I am trying with the following query
to_date(day_name,'DD-MON-YYYY') > trunc(current_date)-15 and to_date(day_name,'DD-MON-YYYY') <= trunc(current_date).
Is this syntax correct?
Thanks in advance.

TIMESTAMPDIFF(SQL_TSI_DAY, Date.Date, CURRENT_DATE) will calculate the number of days between the Date column and the current date.
Replace Date.Date with the Analytics column reference of your choice.
You can also replace CURRENT_DATE with another date expression to calculate the difference between tow date columns.
SQL_TSI_DAY defines the unit of measure (days)... other options are
SQL_TSI_WEEK
SQL_TSI_MONTH
SQL_TSI_YEAR
SQL_TSI_HOUR
SQL_TSI_MINUTE
SQL_TSI_SECOND

  • Using htp.p for print dynamic data in apex region make my page slow?

Hi, everyone!!! My name is Rafael, and...
I search in the web and in this forum but i can´t find a answer for my doubt.
Using the procedure htp.p for print dynamic data in apex region through on demand process , this will leave my webpage slow to load when the user access?
    Example:
For build a menu in my webpage, it´s read a function in the database that returns variable string, so by a demand process this string is obtain and print in a web page using htp.p.
I notice that this practice causes slow to load the data on the page.
    This is it...
    If someone help me, thanks...
    bye and Happy new Year!!!

    Hi,
    Try commenting out the function call and print some sample text in the htp.p like htp.p('Hello world..');
I think the function call is probably taking a lot of time .. not htp.p.
I have used htp.p to print out values dynamically in a lot of situations and have not ever come across any performance issues. It could be a problem with the function you are calling.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh.

  • BEX to allow for the dynamic date on a variant as is the case with ABAP

    Hi All,
I have doubt that where we are able to use dynamic date for BEX date variable?
In normal ABAP program,We have option to get dynamic date for date field parameters.Like that can we have dynamic date for BEX date variable.
    Please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Bandana.
Edited by: Bandana Baghel on Jul 3, 2009 10:44 AM

    Hi Bandana,
When you say dynamic date, are you refering to the system date on which the BEx query run?
If so, there are SAP Exit variable available which can be used to retrieve system date at run time.
Try using 0DAT variable which will return the system date at run time.

  • Compare time depednt master data for two key dates in a report?

    Hello all,
We have a requirement where we want to see the difference in master data at particular key dates (time dependent master data).
Like if employee has State = OH till yesterday (12/01/2008) and today it is changed to State =KY (12/02/2008 to 12/31/999) loaded in BW which is time dependent.
So basically if you run the query for Key date 12/01or before you will see OH as state and if you run query for key date 12/02 or further you will see KY.
We want to create a report where we want to list employees and compare in two columns basically the previous value and the current value. So input would be two key date variables and the report would look like
Employee                  Key date 1(state)                  Key date 2 (state)
    Employee1                         OH                                  KY
Has anyone done this before, can someone help me doing this?
    Thanks,

    Hi ,
For this scenario , Can you please create variabale ( From value -- to value ) in the key figure date .And by using the time period in the varaible u can get the employees for both the states ...
    Hope this helps out
    thanks

  • IIR filter for multiple ATD data

I have 3 ATDs simultaneously sampling. The digital IIR filter works on the first board data of 16 waveforms. The second and the third ATD data do not get filtered at all. They just output zero for all the channels. I tried different instances of the IIR filter to be used with different ATD data and the result is the same. If I turn off the digital filter, then the data shows up correctly.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Narayana

    Hello Nadim,
Thank you for replying. In fact I just came from the lab after solving the problem. Yes, it is an analog-to-digital board - with 16 inputs. All these boards are tied together with respect to sampling-using a synchronization cable. the ATD board is what NI used to call PCI-MI0-16E-4. During my troubleshooting, I realized that the data coming from the first board has a t0 and dt value in the waveform attributes. The other two boards did not have these two attributes - they were zero. Once I gave the waveforms the proper dt and t0 value, the IIR filter could operate on the waveforms. So the problem was solved.
But thank you for replying. If I did not make myself clear above, I can post an image of the code.
    Thank you,

    Hello,
We have a batch scheduling tool that automatically runs Oracle jobs and when it runs the jobs it stores a record from the instance in a table. WHERE   start_datetime >= TRUNC (SYSDATE - 7)
AND     start_datetime <  TRUNC (SYSDATE - 6)Also, it doesn't look like the EXISTS sub-query is corelated to the main query. That's almost certainly a mistake.
If you're still having trouble, post your revised query, a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements). Point out where that query is givimg the wrong results, and explain how to get te right results.

Before you go to the trouble of going through all those steps, be warned that attempting to use Dreamweaver CS4 with SVN could even cause Dreamweaver to crash after updating to SVN 1.6.2. I, too, have abandoned SVN integration with Dreamweaver until the problems are sorted out. I reported this problem to Adobe a couple of weeks ago, and spent a long time working with an Adobe engineer, who was able to reproduce the problem, but not offer a solution. Hopefully, the next version of Dreamweaver will have more robust support for Subversion.

  • How to queue two waveforms in dynamic data

I am collecting two waveforms for voltage data via DAQ assistant. The output is dynamic data which I can view as two waveforms via a chart.
I am sending the retrived data to a queue for storage until a seperate loop can flush the queue and write the data to a measurement file via the Write to Measurement File vi.
When I retrive my measurement file only one of the two waveforms have been stored.
I have troubleshot the issue and have determined the correct data is going into the queue

I'd recommend posting some code.  Are you passing in the two waveforms to the queue as an array of waveforms, or a cluster of waveforms?  Without seeing the code, it is just a guess as to what is going on.

  • Shared variable, missing data, the same timestamp for two consecutively data

    hello
I have a problem with missing data when I read from a network published shared variable.
    Host VI:
In a host VI on my Laptop (HP with WinXP Prof.) i'm writing data to the shared Variable "data". Between two consecutively write operations is a minimum of Milliseconds waiting time. I use that because I want to be sure that the timestamp for each new data value is different then the preview one (resolution shared variables is 1 ms)
    Target VI:
the Target VI on a cRIO-9012 realtime device is reading only new data in the way that it compares the timestamp of a new value with the timestamp from the last value.
    Problem:
rarely, I'm missing a datapoint (sometimes everything works fine for several hours, transferring thousands of data correctly before suddenly the failure happens). With some workaround I'm able to catch the missing data. I've discovered that the missing data has the exactly same timestamp then the last readed datapoint, therefore is ignored in my "legal" data.
To sum up, the missed value is written to the shared variable in the host, but the target ignores him because his timestamp is wrong, respectively the same as the last value has, despite the host waits every time for a minimum of 10 milliseconds before writing a new value.
    Note:
The shared Variable is hosted on the Laptop and configured using buffering.
The example is simplified only to show the principle function, in real I use also a handshaking and I secure that there is no over- and underflow.
    Simplified Example:
    Question:
Has someone an idea why two consecutively data can have the same timestamp ?
Where is the (wrong) timestamp finally coming from (system?) ?
What would be a possible solution (at the moment with shared Variables) ?
-> I tried a workaround with clusters where each data gets a  unique ID. It works but it is slower than comparing timestamps and I could get performance problems.
Would it change something when I host the shared Variable on the RT-System ?
    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    Reto
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Reto,
I had a look on your modified Example.
Because the Shared Variables didn`t work like Queues or Notifiers (No Event or Interrupt when a new value has been written. And for sure the´re not possible over a network) you will see the issue, that the code is reading the values more often with the same timestamp (Polling Problematic) if the reader is faster then the writer. And because the timestamp is written with the value you´re able to program like you do. Filter out whats duplicated when you have the same timestamp.
    Everything is described in here:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4679#toc1
Laurent talked about a second depth of buffer. Please have also a look at the link. Somewhere in the middle of the tutorial you see the explanations of Buffer and RT-Buffer.
Regarding your question: Would it change something when I host the shared Variable on the RT-System? --> No
In my experiences, you should consider to place the Shared Variable Engine after asking some questions regarding the application.
You will find the Answers to this 3 Questions also in the link:
Does the application require datalogging and supervisory functionality?
Does the computing device have adequate processor and memory resources?
    Which system is always online?
And you`re right the smalles time interval you can see in the timestamp is 1ms.!
What you also can do is working with an enabled "timed out". This might be more performance efficient than reading the timestamp.
What I don`t know and not find up to now, is if LabVIEW or the OS adds the timestamp. It´s taken from the system time, this looks like LabVIEW is taking the value and adds it.
    I hope this helps

  • Filter Information for two parameters in Query Designer

    Hi Gurus !!
I have a problem for filter information for two parameters in Query Designer,
the first parameter correspond a Ejercise-Period, the second parameter correspond
a Compensation Date of document, both parmeters must have date less than or equal to
to the parameter date input for screen (mm.aaaa).
Internally the Report must filter countable information for Countable Date <= Parameter Input and
Compensation Date of document <= Parameter Input.
If i assign two filter parameter in Query Designer, not could realise this.
Exist any simple form to realise this ??
    Wait for yours responses.
    Thank You.

    Hi shanthi bhaskar,
Thanks a lot for your answer.
I have one doubt about it:  with this solution that you propoused the user will be able to select the values for plant?.
I mean, the user make the selection of the value for Zone, then he wants to see the in plan´s variable the values that corresponds with this Zone for make a new selection of plan.
What happens if I need this dependency also in another variable like time variable?
    Thanks  a lot

  • Use BEx variable for user input data, not to filter.

    Hi,
I have a situation where I am displaying notification task data.  Each header notif has a number of tasks.  These tasks are marked either newest, oldest or no mark (in the middle) for each different task code.
Using VKF's and by passing the user entered variables for newest and oldest I am able to make KF calculations.
So if I have a notif that is like this:
    Notif XYZ
Task 1  Code: SCM     Date: 1/1/2000
Task 2  Code: SCM     Date: 1/4/2000
Task 3  Code: SCK     Date: 1/10/2000
If the user selects Newest = SCM and Oldest = SCK
The key figure would use those 2 different notif tasks to calculate.
    This works fine.
My problem now is that since the data is displayed at the line level.  When the user enteres his choices for task code, BEx will filter to find one single task item that has both the Newest and Oldest values that the user entered.  It will return no data.
    Example:
    NOTIF    TASK      NEWEST     OLDEST
    XYZ.........1.......SCM
    XYZ.........3..................SCK
If user enteres Newest = SCM and OLDEST = SCK
It will look for one line with both value, returning nothing.
So, I want to simply use the BEx selection screen to pass values to my virtual code (which I already have working)-  but I do not want the report to filter on a notification that only has both values as OLDEST and NEWEST tasks.
Is this possible?  To deactivate the BEx filtering for two infoobjects thus only passing the user entered values to my CMOD code?
    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Brandon

    Hi Prakash,
Can you explain what you mean?  I know using a text variable would allow me to take the user entry and apply it to the header of a column... but how would it disable filtering on what was entered?
    Thx
