Filter on ext
Hi Expert ,
Can you please confirm, is it possible to use filter in goldengate for initial load using gg extract, for example , we have two table in source database for example Acct and acc_txt
Desc Acct
Name Null? Type
NO NOT NULL NUMBER
NAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(10)
Desc bank
Name Null? Type
NO NOT NULL NUMBER
TYPE NOT NUL VARCHAR2(20)
need to filter the Acct table data with below condition for Initial load ,
where Acct.no = bank.no AND bank.type='PRIMARY';
please suggest how to filter in source extract parameter file ? we have created extract with sourceistable parameter,
due to some other requirement we dont want to use export import for initial load,
In target we have map like
MAP src.ACCT , TARGET tgt.ACCT;
Thanks
Hi
tried the below one and its working ,
and replicated to sqlserver from oracle
filter (flt.no), SQLEXEC (ID flt, QUERY "select no from bank where no = :pno and type in ('PRIMARY')", PARAMS(pno=no));
Thanks,

Maybe I should go with compiling openssl from sources after all...

Does it matter? I'm going to use it for development. -
How the data is embedded in the image
please explain this code clearly !!! how the file is embedded inside the image and retrieved back !!!
Private Sub btn4(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles NLabel4.Click
Using O As New OpenFileDialog With {.Filter = "(Image Files)|*.jpg;*.png;*.bmp;*.gif;*.ico|Jpg, | *.jpg|Png, | *.png|Bmp, | *.bmp|Gif, | *.gif|Ico | *.ico", .Multiselect = False, .Title = "Select image"}
If O.ShowDialog = 1 Then
Try
Using FS As New IO.FileStream(O.FileName, IO.FileMode.Open)
FS.Seek(0, IO.SeekOrigin.End)
While Not FS.ReadByte = Asc("|")
FS.Position -= 2
End While
Dim s As String = Nothing
While Not FS.Position = FS.Length - 4
s &= Chr(FS.ReadByte.ToString)
End While
Dim Ext As String = Nothing
FS.Seek(0, IO.SeekOrigin.End)
While Not FS.ReadByte = Asc("*")
FS.Position -= 2
End While
While Not FS.Position = FS.Length
Ext &= Chr(FS.ReadByte.ToString)
End While
FS.Seek(FS.Length - ((s.Length + s) + 5), IO.SeekOrigin.Begin)
Using sfd As New SaveFileDialog With {.DefaultExt = Ext, .Filter = "*." & Ext & " | *." & Ext}
If sfd.ShowDialog = 1 Then
Using FSw As New IO.FileStream(sfd.FileName, IO.FileMode.Create)

End While

Private Sub btn3(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles NLabel3.Click
Dim ext As String = TextBox1.Text.Substring(TextBox1.Text.LastIndexOf(".") + 1)
Using SFD As New SaveFileDialog With {.DefaultExt = ext, .Filter = "*." & ext & " | *." & ext}

MsgBox("Done")
Catch ex As Exception
MessageBox.Show("There was an error!" & vbNewLine & vbNewLine & "The application will now close.", "Error", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error)
Me.Close()
End Try
End If
End Using
End Sub1. the new file which we are creating will be in this order or not
file_extension * data_file_size | data_file image_file
No. The file will be in the order in which it is written in the writing routine:
1. Image File
2. Data File
3. "|"
4. Data File Size (ASCII)
5. "*"
6. File Extension (ASCII)
2. explain this snippet .. why we are changing position while we are extract file
While Not FS.ReadByte = Asc("|")
FS.Position -= 2
End While
Dim s As String = Nothing
While Not FS.Position = FS.Length - 4
s &= Chr(FS.ReadByte.ToString)
End While
Dim Ext As String = Nothing
FS.Seek(0, IO.SeekOrigin.End)
While Not FS.ReadByte = Asc("*")
FS.Position -= 2
End While
While Not FS.Position = FS.Length
Ext &= Chr(FS.ReadByte.ToString)
End While
FS.Seek(FS.Length - ((s.Length + s) + 5), IO.SeekOrigin.Begin)
The file read position is recalculated before each read, depending either on the position of the marker ("|" and "*") or on the length of the data. That's how each portion is extracted - the position is set to the start of the portion, and that
portion is read for the correct number of bytes. The portions are extracted from the end back towards the beginning because the markers can only be guaranteed as unique (they are illegal in a filename extension) when searching backwards.
3. after combining the files with the image .. how the created image is visible (even we are not using any algorithm)
That depends on the image file format, but most formats will use header information that describes the location within the file of the various bits of data that are needed to create the image. The side effect of this is that if there is information
in the file that is not referenced from this header data then it is simply ignored. That's what this procedure is relying on - because the new data is appended to the end of the file it will not be referenced from the header data and will be ignored.

All these symbols are not defined in libclntsh.so and also does not exist in libnnz10.so.
I checked 32bit version of libnnz10.so has all above undefined symbols. This looks really weird to me why 64 bit version of libnnz10.so doesn't define these symbols.
Let me know if you have any idea. -
Javadoc not showing my methods
I don't see what I'm doing wrong here as I've read threads on here as well as on the NetBeans site, but when I generate a javadoc for my project, the only method that seems to be in my documentation is main. In that particular class I have 3 other methods.
For example: /**
* @param ext file extention allowed to be selected
* @param desc description of the file type
* @param fc which type of JFileChooser
private void useFileFilter(String ext, String desc, JFileChooser fc)
filter.setAcceptedFiles(ext, desc);
fc.setAcceptAllFileFilterUsed(false);
fc.setFileFilter(filter);
}Is there additional script configuration I need to do before this works properly or am I safe to assume that without additional arguments javadoc will not include private methods? I'm using NetBeans 6.0.1.By default, only public and protected methods are documented by Javadoc. Javadoc does however provide options to broaden (and lessen) the visibility criteria for documentation (Javadoc options -public, -protected, -package, -private). You will have to find out how to do that from within Netbeans yourself, though.
-
Could it be that strings parameters in queries are not escaped
automatically? I've read in a thread that probably the extensions like
ext:caseInsContains could handle this correctly, but they don't.
I would like to find all users whose accountName contains an underscore.
For the filter
(_accountName.ext:caseInsContains("_"))
the following SQL statement is generated:

Have I to do the escaping by myself? How? What escape character? (as I
know this can be given explicitly in each query, thus JDO must do this?!)

why do we need to escape strings? I thought that kodo 2.4 uses prepared

posting, you see that the search string is not passed as a parameter in
a prepared statement, but that it appears directly in the statement.
Abe?
You don't have to escape out quotes and things, because we do use
prepared statements. But if you want to search for an underscore
character, and your database interprets underscore as a wildcard, you
have to escape it. -
I have Photoshop cs6 Ext on an ASUS laptop. How can I increase the font size of the contents of the FILTER Panel situated on bottom left of screen. The font size is extreamly small and almost unreadable. I have changed display parameters, not the resolution, to no avail.
David.Paragraph breaks are good for readability. ;-)
Have you noticed any difference between your MacBook and others at the Apple store? Wondering whether this is a configurable setting at the system level, i.e., DPI.
You can default Firefox to a larger zoom level to avoid having to zoom every page. You'll still be able to adjust the size for individual sites as needed. It sounds as though you are aware of these add-ons:
* Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
* NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
There are some discussions about changing coming in Firefox 22 (I think) to address higher density displays like the Retina display. So perhaps there will be a built-in setting to address this in the future. -
Hi experts,
We need to filter the data based on the below scenario , , please guide,how to use below filter on extract process
the requirement is ,
account table has 4 columns
,name , id, department , branch , we need to filter only DEPARTMENT in ('GLOB' ,'LOC') OR BRANCH ='US'
How to use this filter in extract process please help.
Thanks in Advance.
ArunHello Arun,
The extract would have filter clause as follows:
extract ext1
userid ggadm@src, password *****
table schema.account,
filter (on insert,on update, @if ( ( @streq(DEPARTMENT,'GLOB') or @streq( DEPARTMENT,'LOC') ) and @streq(BRANCH,'US') );
or
extract ext1
userid ggadm@src, password *****
table schema.account, where ( BRANCH = 'US'),
filter (on insert,on update, @if ( @streq(DEPARTMENT,'GLOB') or @streq( DEPARTMENT,'LOC') );

Filter Web Template with URL Cmd: doesn't work with compound infoobject ?
Hello all,
I've to filter the query contained on a web template with URL command, but it doesn't work.
The web template contains only one query, and on the free chars I have 0PLANT.
I call the web template adding to the normal url the following command:
&FILTER_IOBJNM=0PLANT&FILTER_VALUE=33
where 33 is the code of the plant I want to filter.
The command is executed, I think, because the result is "NO APPLICABLE DATA FOUND". The fact is that when I execute this query on the Bex filtering 0PLANT by value 33 the data exists.
May be because 0PLANT on our system is in compound with 0SOURSYSTEM ? In this case, what's the value I can use as filter ?
Thank's in advance,
MaxHi,
please see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/59/edfe395dd76846e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
especially:
If the variant with ending 'EXT' is selected, the fully compounded value has to be entered in the external format, for example, 24.12.2000.
If the ending 'EXT' is not used, the fully compounded value has to be entered in the internal format, for example, 20001224 for 24.12.2000.
and
In the internal display (see table below) you can easily determine the name of the characteristic and the filter value using the URL parameter &snippet_operations=%20 (see also Object Tag for the Properties of Web Templates). Call the Web application with this URL parameter. If you filter using the context menu, the parameters FILTER_IOBJNM and FILTER_VALUE are automatically added to the URL in the Web browser. You can then use the desired values with Command URLs in hyperlinks.

Error executing filter in query using a Collection as a parameter
Hi,
I am getting a null pointer exception when executing my query. When it
gets to Kodo it looks like the following:
Filter -
((emailView._email._text.ext:stringContains(keyword)
|| emailView._email._subject.ext:stringContains(keyword))
&& (folders.contains(emailFolder) &&
emailFolder._views.contains(emailView)))
variables - com.mail.data.EmailView emailView;com.mail.data.EmailFolder
emailFolder;
ordering - (there is no ordering)
imports - import java.util.Collection;import
com.mail.data.EmailFolder;import com.mail.data.EmailMessage;
parameters - java.lang.String keyword,java.util.Collection folders
class/extent - com.mail.data.EmailView
Basically I am trying to get all the EmailViews that contains an
EmailMessage whose text or subject contains a keyword. The views
returned should only be contained in certain folders which are passed as
a parameter.
So my object model is like this:
EmailFolder -- 1 to many --> EmailView -- 1 to 1 --> EmailMessage
I tried the following filter first which works:
(_email._text.ext:stringContains(keyword)
|| email.subject.ext:stringContains(keyword))
But when I try filtering with the folders it throws a
NullPointerException. The folders passed to the filter are valid, and
contain valid EmailViews, and those EmailViews contain valid
EmailMessages that have non-null text and subject fields.
The following is the relevant part of the stack trace:
javax.jdo.JDOUserException: The given filter/ordering String
"((emailView._email._text.ext:stringContains(keyword) ||
emailView._email._subject.ext:stringContains(keyword)) &&
(folders.contains(emailFolder) &&
emailFolder._views.contains(emailView)))" is not valid. Make sure all
parentheses are properly matched and that the filter uses proper Java
syntax.

Thanks in advance,
KhamsoukAs the exception said, this is not a valid query string.
What happens if you do:
folders.contains(emailFolder) &&
emailFolder._views.contains(emailView) &&
(emailView._email._text.ext:stringContains(keyword) ||
emailView._email._subject.ext:stringContains(keyword))
The point here is that a 'relation.contains(var)' statement must be
followed by '&& something that uses the var'.

Servlet filter - ClassNotFoundException
Hi,
I am trying to create and deploy a servlet filter in portal irj.
Here is what I have done:
1. Created filter class(TestFilter.java).
2. Created a jar file for the above TestFilter.class.
3. Copied the jar file to C:\usr\sap\DW1\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\lib folder
4. Modified the web.xml file under C:\usr\sap\DW1\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF folder with the following lines:
<filter>
<filter-name>TestFilter</filter-name>
<display-name>TestFilter</display-name>
<description>
</description>
<filter-class>com.test.TestFilter</filter-class>
</filter>
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>TestFilter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>/irj/*</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>TestFilter</filter-name>
<servlet-name>prt</servlet-name>
</filter-mapping>
5. I did reference the library in Visual Admin: library:TestFilter
6. Also created the directory under ext/TestFilter and copied the jar file here.
7. Restarted the engine.
Exception the logs
Cannot load filter <TestFilter> The error is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.test.TestFilter
Loader Info----
I don't see my .jar displayed in the loader info. irj didn't like my .jar.
Any additional changes for irj to make it understand the new .jar file for classloader.
Appreciate your response.

Again thanks for the help getting up and running.
Now that I am up and running I know my task at hand and I have comleted most of it except for a couple of things. Here is my task:
To have 1 URL filter lists. Lets call it WhiteList-special. What my manager wants is this.
To all URL's matching the WhiteList-special filter allow the connections filtering out a set of mime types.
To all URL's not in the WhiteList (still allow them them) but apply a different set of mime type restrictions.
How can I go about doing this? Do I use the http:// resource and set up the whitelist-special there with a mime list and then in default set up an allow list of basically .* with a different mime type list ??
Also I noticed that in the mime.types file gnu zip (.gz) was listed as an encoding and not application. Thus if I include the gz mime type in my <Filter "filter-ct" ...> line the gz seems to be ignored. I block all other mime types that are of the application type but I cannot block any encoding type. Am I doing something wrong?
thanks
DougHere is what you can do:
(the simplest way)
Use a filter that will add a variable to all the mime-types that you want to whitelist.
Then use a filter to deny all the other types. In the below code, the identity filter is the one that you can use to touch all the whitelist -- (below, it only allows text/plain), and the deny filter will deny all the rest.
To your question on content-type, check how the content-length is obtained in the below code.

I do a lot ofhow much RAM does ps cs5/6 ext use with CAF?
how much RAM does photoshop cs5 extended use with Content-Aware-Fill?
please state the size of the image, how many layers you have (makes a difference).
please do this for 2 different size images.
I could also use some cs6 numbers as well, since this is the current ps.
should be as simple a psd as possible.
I need to know for a 32-bit and a 64-bit machine.
I would like to use these two numbers for making a calculator that does some very basic calculations as to how much memory would be required to run photoshop given:
image size
content-aware fill
radial blur
number of layers
content-aware move (in CS6)
this means several types of test plans:
32-bit ps ext CS5:
different image sizes SMALL and LARGE (these sizes will be used throughout the tests below, save them as PSD's)
SMALL and LARGE with 2 layers
SMALL and LARGE with content-aware fill, like taking out a telephone pole. hit F1 if you don't know how.
SMALL and LARGE with radial blur (this takes a while to run). hit F1 if you don't know how or refer to this: http://ksimonian.com/Blog/2010/02/24/improved-photoshop-benchmark-cpu-speed-test-for-both- mac-pc-free-radial-blur-filter-test/

if you know of a more memory-intensive operation, such as radial blur (maybe that's only cpu-intensive), I would be interested in knowing about this.

the number of layers seem to multiply the RAM required in CS5. I think. the amount of RAM required to do photoshop seems to be a much-talked about subject and the subject of much variableness, and I wanted to nail it down a little.
I thought I would make a calculator that can estimate the amount of RAM required for a system to do, say, multilayer gigapixel content-aware-fill stuff in ps, something I know I would do a lot of. I also hear RAM requirements has changed in CS6. it would be interesting to characterize it.
I am making it here: http://Jesusnjim.com/calculators/photoshop-ram-usage.html
and as soon as I can get some completed set of numbers infor CS5 or , it will be ready
you can tell how much memory us in use by doing [windows-logo-flag-key]taskmgr[Enter] or doing ctrl-alt-del and bringing up the task manager,
clicking on the prcesses tab,and looking for Photoshop.exe
if you don't see mem usage, do View,Select columns.
it's a lot of testing, I know, it should not take too long to finish. but I think it might help a lot of folks when they are trying to figure out how to spec their PS box.

Message was edited by: jmichae1the numbers basically would form a linear graph in memory usage when it comes to things like
number of layers
image size
I am not throwing away my data because someone is poo-pooing it.
CAF is just an 11x multiplier in every case I have used it. I am curious what the cs6 new content-[fill-in-the-blank] features use for memory. and I probably can't get anyone else to test it for me, because nobody seems to know how that I have met on the forums except me (I have been doing testing for 27 years and design/development for as long as I can remember - am I getting that old?).
the numbers in these cases are linear, for initial operations (I should qualify that on the page). as you said (according to my numbers), subsequent ops cause increased memory usage. I see this in soundbooth, to the point of out of memory error and crash.
I didn't do graphs because I didn't think it was worth it. I have proved my point to myself.
I think looking back I should have expressed more of what I found (and you guys have just stated it). page editing takes a lot of thought. I guess I missed that 1 necessary thing I noticed and didn't pay enough attention to - ps RAM usage growth from ops doesn't quit until you close it.
found out ps ram usage is not a compendium of all the features (maybe the major ones). the filters use pretty much no noticeable RAM.
adjustments don't either I don't think (haven't tested that).
I just want to help others who are trying to size a new box and don't know how much RAM to get if they are doing a 40x27 poster. and which type of machine: a desktop, laptop, or workstation (which can handle more memory). and which OS (windows 8 handles 512GiB max, windows 7 handles 192GiB max, windows server standard handles multi-terabytes of RAM). why? because I have to size one for myself! and I have some large images I will be working with.

Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus Faxing Problem with 2-EXT port Connected
I have the Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus and when I fax, I must disconnect the phone line connected to the 2-EXT port on the back of the printer. This is very annoying, and I'm hoping someone here can provide a more convienent solution. I'm connected through a Cable Modem EMTA device for my voice service that is sharing the fax...which like I said, faxes fine, as long as the phone line is disconnected from the 2-EXT port first.
Thx,Hi @powwow63 ,
I see that you are having issues with sending faxes, you have to disconnect the line in Ext 2 to be able to send a fax.
I can help you with this.
Using a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone service can cause faxing to fail because fax transmissions are sensitive to the timing of the signals used to transmit the fax. If using a VoIP digital line is necessary, changing the Fax Speed Adjustment setting to Slow might improve the ability to send a fax over a VoIP telephone line.
Make sure that you have a DSL filter installed. If you do not have a DSL filter, contact your DSL provider to find out where you can buy one.
I have provided a document with some steps for changing the fax setting on the printer.
