Hello gurus
I want to filter query with a datum type caracteristic,
but I want just empty date like #
Excel displays # but I can't select # value for a date type
Can you help me ?

Hi Laurent,
after you restrict the characteristic and go to selection for date Type "#" in the box below (left of serach ICon) and use arrows to move selection box.

• KQL Query - Sharepoint 2013 Search - Filter by empty date value

Hey,
I'm using Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Query.KeywordQuery class to query the search service. By using the following KQL query, I can get all the crawled items of a specific content type filtered by Expiration Date:
(ContentType:"MyContentType") (PublishingExpirationDateOWSDATE>=2013/08/07)
PublishingExpirationDateOWSDATE is of type Date (it's not the default metadata property that SP creates when you do a full crawl, since that one is of type text, i deleted and recreated it as date time). I just did this because i needed to be able to sort
the results by that value, and it was impossible when it was just text.
So, now my problem comes when i want to include those values where the PublishingExpirationDateOWSDATE > (today) or are emtpy (in other words, the not expired items).
I found no way of targeting the items where the date is empty. Is there some way? Some special syntax to get them?
I just come up with another idea, that would be having another managed property bound to the same crawled property of type "text", and just comparing that one to "". But i don't want to have the need of having to separate properties.
Is there some way?

Hi Antonio,
Search does not create index of any field which is left empty. A query filtering data based on PublishingExpirationDateOWSDATE
> (today). Will give you all the records with date greater than today's date ignoring the time also. Records with date empty will not appear in your results.
You will not be able to achieve this with custom search results web part also.
Try CQWP.

• Reset an IIR Filter with new data

hello one and all, i am creating waveforms and pumping them into an IIR filter. at times the parameters of the experiment change and i want to reset the data that the IIR filter is drawing off of so that it is calculating from scratch. i know about the reset input of the IIR filter, however, it is for redesigning the filter coefficients, etc., as stated in the labview help file. so how do you tell the IIR filter that the waveforms coming in are now a new set of waveforms?
thank you in advance.
lucas

Hi Lucas,
I assume you are using the Digital IIR Filter.vi. The logic is not immediately obvious on the diagram of the instances of this VI, but there are two sorts of reset that can happen, namely a coefficient redesign, and a filter state reset. The coefficient redesign happens when either:
1. It is the first time the VI has been called
2. The reset control (on Digital IIR Filter.vi) is true
3. The dt value of the waveform changes from the previous iteration
4. The design specifications change from the previous iteration.
The filter state reset (which is what you want I think) will happen:
1. If there has been a coefficient redesign
2. If the timestamp of the last point of the previous waveform does not match the timestamp of the first point of the current waveform + dt. This is basically an assumption of continuity of the waveforms over consecutive calls to the VI.
I think you have two choices to get the behavior you want. First, you can use the continuity of the waveforms as a way of controlling the reset of the filter state. When you want a reset, then make the current waveform discontinuous. The second option would be to use the lower level VIs on the signal processing->filters->IIR palette. This allows you to explicitly separate the design and implementation of the filter on your diagram, with explicit reset control on the filter states.

Dear forumers,
I apologize for the rather late reply. The SAP server that I've been working on was down since Thursday evening and I wasn't able to debug much into the codes. Nevertheless, I really do appreciate all of your inputs and help here.
Rob,
I've just debugged my codes again and found out that in the first place, there is no data contained in the internal table gt_1 at all. My rough guess is because I've misused the INNER JOIN wrongly here (see code comments below):-
SELECT ekbe~ebeln
mseg~mblnr
ekbe~belnr
ekbe~ebelp
ekbe~matnr

mseg~lifnr
lfa1~name1 " this line should probably be commented out
FROM ekbe INNER JOIN mseg ON mseg~ebeln = ekbe~ebeln
INNER JOIN lfa1 ON lfa1~lifnr = mseg~lifnr " this line should probably be commented out - the table join here is not based on table ekbe at all
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE gt_1
WHERE mseg~bwart = '101' AND
ekbe~vgabe = '2' AND
ekbe~matnr IN s_m_num AND
mseg~lifnr IN s_v_num.
Next, I commented out certain lines further and found that there is still no data contained in the internal table gt_1 again, as follows:-
SELECT ekbe~ebeln
mseg~mblnr
ekbe~belnr
ekbe~ebelp
ekbe~matnr
ekbe~menge
ekbe~dmbtr
ekbe~werks
mseg~lgort
mseg~lifnr
" lfa1~name1
FROM ekbe INNER JOIN mseg ON mseg~ebeln = ekbe~ebeln
" INNER JOIN lfa1 ON lfa1~lifnr = mseg~lifnr
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE gt_1.
" WHERE mseg~bwart = '101' AND
" ekbe~vgabe = '2' AND
" ekbe~matnr IN s_m_num AND
" mseg~lifnr IN s_v_num.
There should be data contained in table ekbe here. What could have really gone wrong now?

Hi,
The Web Service you are calling is trying to create a long type variable, even you are not passing anything.
Pass 0 for SId, it will work.
Other solution is to modify the schema definition in the WSDL if you can.
If an element is not mandatory then you should specify minOccurs="0" and avoid passing null elements like <SId/> because some XML deserializers try to parse and instantiate an element even you have specified nillable=true in schema definition.
Change <element name="sId" type="long" nillable="true"/> with <element name="sId" type="long" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
and don's pass an element if it is empty.
If you are using Assign activity, it will create empty element if you don't assign value to an element. Use transform activity and if check for empty elements.

• Using Non-destructive filter with Nested XML data

Hi,
How do you use Non-destructive filter with Nested XML data?
I am using the non-destructive filter sample with my own xml which is setup to search for the <smc></smcs> in my xml below. But when i test it it only searches the last row of the "smc". How can i make it work so it can search for repeating nodes? or does it have something to with how my xml is setup?

thank you!

I apologize, im using Spry XML Data Set. i guess the best way to describe what im trying to do is, i want to use the Non-desctructive filter sample with the Spry Nested XML Data sample. So with my sample xml on my first post and with the same code non-destructive filter is using, im having trouble trying to search repeating nodes, for some reason it only searches the last node of the repeating nodes. Does that make sense? let me know.
thank you Arnout!

• MDX Filter with date range

Hi,
my requirement is to create a calculated member to calculate Total unique customers who has sales > 0 within the date range.
Below mdx works normally with single date
DistinctCount(FILTER([Customer_Sales].[Outlet ID].[Outlet ID].members,
([Measures].[distribution],
[Date].[CalendarWeek].CurrentMember
)=1))
I'm looking for something like below with date range,
DistinctCount(FILTER([Customer_Sales].[Outlet ID].[Outlet ID].members,
([Measures].[distribution],
WTD([Date].[CalendarWeek].CurrentMember
))=1))
Above MDX fails with the error: String of numeric expression expected, Tuple set expression was used.
Appreciate your immediate response.
Thanks in advance

Hi Chandima,
Thanks for the response.
I tried your code, it works but the results are not correct. As per manual calculations, there are 28 unique customers who has positive sales on Week to date (2014-11-03), but result shows only 19.
For the first day of week (2014-11-01), there are 9 unique customers, which is correct. But for the following days it is not giving correct result.
Further, performance of this approach is very poor
Thanks,

• How to filter a table using column filter on a date field with time?

Hi,
I have a date field where I am inserting a date+time value, for example: 01/01/2012 09:30:00 So, I would like to filter an adf table using a column inputdate filter to filter only by date this field.
I was testing using formats but with no luck.
Any Idea?
Thanks,

Then, try to add another attribute in your SELECT VO statement, which truncates the original date_and_time field:
SELECT.... TRUNC(DATE_AND_TIME) as truncated_dateAfter that, put reference to that attribute in the filter facet, as follows
<f:facet name="filter">
<af:inputDate value="#{vs.filterCriteria.TruncatedDate}" id=.../>
</facet>Do not forget to add the TruncatedDate attribute in the <tree...> binding in the pageDef, along with others VO attributes. Do that manually.

• Create prompt with date-filter and initialize it with current date

Oracle BI 11 g
Hi!
I need to create dashboard prompt with date-filter and initialize it with current date. How can I do that?
I tried to create repository initialization block and add variable. But I don't know what should I write to DataSource? I tried to use functions Now(), Current_Date, sysdate (for example, SELECT Now() FROM tbl_Calendar) but without results - when I pressed "Test..." button I got errors - something like "Now() is unknown function" or "Incorrect syntax near key word Current_Date".
After that I tied to use Presentation Variable in Prompt, but also without success ((
Please, help me.

I've created Repository Variable "CurrentDate", using SQL-query like this "select convert(varchar(10), getdate(), 104)" and now this variable is being initialized by value "07.04.2011". But I don't understand how to use this varible in DashboardPrompt! What item in list "Default selection" I should choose - "Variable Expression", "Server Variable" or something else? When I chose "Variable Expression" and write "CurrentDate" I got just string "CurrentDate" when preview Prompt. @{CurrentDate} gave me the same result.

• Replace the empty field with below data content field in xml pub report

Hi Gurus,
Please give me the solution for the Replacement of empty field with below data content field in XML PUBLISHER REPORT.
ex:
Name:Philips.M
Address 1:XP APPTS,
Address 2:S:R ROAD
Address 3:
COUNTRY:INDIA
Here i have to get only address 1,address 2 and the COUNTRY data.I dont want to display Address 3 field here.
Thanks,
David

I'm not sure if this answers your question but you could try putting out the address all in one item in the SQL eg somthing like:
address1 || DECODE(address1, NULL, NULL, 'newline character') ||
address2 || DECODE(address2, NULL, NULL, 'newline character') ||
address3 || DECODE(address3, NULL, NULL, 'newline character')
where 'newline character' is somthing like CHR(12)

• Message-Mapping Problem with empty queue while testing

Hello,
I want to develope an mapping to an BMEcat-structure. This mapping should be an filter.
My problem is, that everytime I want to check, if my mapping works correct, the queues for the proccessing steps keeps empty.
I filled a test case with all data I needed for the step I want to test (not the whole mapping is ready, but for this step, it is). Now I go to my mapping step an check the queue for the parameters and the queue comes up and displays the correct values. In next step I want to display the queue of an "equalsS"-Step, but this queue keeps empty as all following queues too. Sometimes there is coming up an empty "Processing log"-window.
The problem only comes up, if the target-message is a BMEcat-Structure.
Have you any solution for this behaviour? Or do you need more informations?

Hello,
thank you for your tip, but the main problem is still existing. As you can see in the next screenshots, I build in your code and I'm sure it normally works fine. Also I filled the "have to"-Fields in the strukture, so that the check-function (F7) delivers an all right.
But still I get no queue results.

• Problem with filtering data

Hi!
I'm having trouble with filtering data from my table and don't know how to resolve it properly.
I created a tabular form my table, a few text fields that are used as input for different columns of the filter and a filter button that submits the page.
The problem appeared when I try to filter a column that has null values in the table and is editable...that's as far as I have concluded.
So when I press the button I get zero rows even though there should be some.
This is the submitted query:
select
"MSR_PRD_ID",
"SRC_STM_ID",
"ID",
"ISIN",
from "#OWNER#"."IZV_SLOG_DET"
WHERE
lower(MSR_PRD_ID) = lower(nvl(:P7_X_MSR_PRD_ID,MSR_PRD_ID)) and
lower(SRC_STM_ID) = lower(nvl(:P7_X_SRC_STM_ID,SRC_STM_ID)) and
lower(ISIN) = lower(nvl(:P7_X_ISIN,ISIN)) and
The nvl function is used so that if the user leaves the field empty it only filters by the fields that have input.
Does anyone know how I could circumvent this?
Regards,
Ivan

LOWER (NVL (ISIN,'Y')) = LOWER (NVL (:P7_X_ISIN, LOWER (NVL (ISIN,'Y'))))

• Formula Created in BI Query appears in Universe as Measure with No Data

Hi,
I have created the universe on top of SAP BI Query(Which is built on Infoset).
There are some formulas created in BI Query as mentioned below:
Eg: Status1=
If Completion Code = null then Status1 = 0
If Completion Code = =10,11,18 then Status1 = 1
Status2=
If Status1= 1 and Field Completion Date <= Regulatory Due Date then Status 2 = 3
If Status1= 0 and Report Date <= Regulatory Due Date then Status 2 = 4
In the Universe I get Status1 and Status2 as Measures.
When I use these Measure Objects in WebI report, I donu2019t see any Data for these objects in WebI Report. Both the columns for Status1 and Status2 appear Blank with no data in it, although I get the data in SAP BI Query for both Status1 and status2.
Is there any issue with the formulas to be used in SAP BI Query?
Are Formulas supported in Business Objects from SAP BI Query?
regards,
Nisha

Hi Ingo,
I tried running the standard test MDX in MDXTEST and I got the data for those calculations.
But I wonder why there is no data in WebI for those formulas(Key Figures)?
In Standard test MDX the MDX Query is as Follows:
SELECT
[Measures].MEMBERS ON COLUMNS,
NON EMPTY [Z_WM_IS01___F98].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ON ROWS
FROM ZWM_M02/Z_ZWM_M02_Q001 SAP VARIABLES
[!V000001] INCLUDING [Z_WM_IS01___F15].[3]
Based on above Query I created the WebI report which includes the objects as described below:
one Dimension Object Notification Number which is equivalent to [Z_WM_IS01___F98].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS from above query.
Selected All the measures objects available in query which refers to [Measures].MEMBERS
And one Prompt on Region which is equivalent to [!V000001] INCLUDING [Z_WM_IS01___F15].[3]
Why there is no data for Calculation columns (Key Figures Status1 and Status2) in WebI Report???

- In VA in SLD Data Supplier I have properly configure bookmarks HTTP Settings and CIM Client Generation Settings. CIMClient Test is OK
I increased logging in the NWA (Configuration -> Log Configuration) - and increased the some things here to log ALL. So that from the NWA (Monitoring -> Logs and Traces) I see a little more information (but does not follow that with which the user is a problem).

Here are some interesting logs ...
I was most rash or irritation of those that say about the lack of credentials u2013 I must use Viusal Administrator and set good service ...

What do I have done:
In the Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier
I have set in the HTTP Settings tab the host and port SLD, the user name and password is also entered as it is in the SLD. To be sure, already have set for the user entered here such roles as:
SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR
SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR
SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER
SAP_SLD_GUEST
SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER
Maybe we are talking in this place about a different user?

Similarly, when it comes to tab CIM Client Generation Settings - here's all the same thing done. CIMClient test shows that everything is OK.
When I click the button: This trigger the transfer of data to the SLD gets the message that everything was shipped correctly. Indeed, I received an instance of JAVA in SLD
Also clicked on this icon: Assign application roles to user group - got information that everything is attached properly.

By ABAP side, the connections: INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER and AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER work correctly, ie I can perform the test - which means that programs ID are properly positioned in JCO Provider in VA.

Puzzling is this message:
The SLD data is inconsistent.

Strange also that the message (from the ABAP everything is available in SMGW no errors):
Connect to SAP gateway failed

And what is this error:

• Help needed with binary data in xml (dtd, xml inside)

I am using the java xml sql utility. I am trying to load some info into a table.
my.dtd:
<!ELEMENT ROWSET (ROW*)>
<!ELEMENT ROW (ID,JPEGS?)>
<!ELEMENT ID (#PCDATA)>
<!ELEMENT DESCRIPTION EMPTY>
<!ATTLIST DESCRIPTION file ENTITY #REQUIRED>
<!NOTATION INFOFILE SYSTEM "Files with binary data inside">
<!ENTITY file1 SYSTEM "abc.jpg" NDATA INFOFILE>
xml file:

<ROWSET>
<ROW>

</ROW>
</ROWSET>
I am using the insertXML method to do this. However, the only value that gets loaded is the ID. abc.jpg is in the same directory where I ran the java program.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry! wrong dtd. It should read this instead:
my.dtd:
<!ELEMENT ROWSET (ROW*)>
<!ELEMENT ROW (ID,DESCRIPTION?)>
<!ELEMENT ID (#PCDATA)>
<!ELEMENT DESCRIPTION EMPTY>
<!ATTLIST DESCRIPTION file ENTITY #REQUIRED>
<!NOTATION INFOFILE SYSTEM "Files with binary data inside">
<!ENTITY file1 SYSTEM "abc.jpg" NDATA INFOFILE>
