Filtering of advanced html

In my opinion, the text input box should better filter and strip out advanced html formatting when stuff is pasted. Here are two examples:

You have to call adg.validateNow() after assigning the
GroupingCollection as dataProvider to the AdvancedDataGrid and
before applying the filterFunction.
It should be like -
adg.dataProvider = gc;
adg.validateNow();
IHierarchicalCollectionView(adg.dataProvider).filterFunction
= filterFunc;
IHierarchicalCollectionView(adg.dataProvider).refresh();
Note: The filter function will be applied to group rows
also.

Using "advanced HTML"

My apologies if this is in the wrong section. I am extremely
new to Dreamweaver (and this particular forum). My prior experience
is primarily with FrontPage 2000. I am trying to recreate my
newspaper site — currently in FrontPage on a PC — in
Dreamweaver on a Mac. I am recreating the pages from scratch rather
than trying to open the FP pages in DW, as I suspect the code from
FP is rather bloated.
We have two things we like to place on the front page: a
dynamic weather "sticker" from wunderground.com and an Amber Alert
dynamic sticker that changes automatically when an alert goes out.
In FrontPage, I place the supplied HTML as a component using the
Advanced HTML feature, but I have not figured out how to apply this
in Dreamweaver. I can get the stickers to show up on my page while
I'm editing it in Dreamweaver, but they don't appear when I preview
the page in Firefox.
FWIW, in FrontPage, I can see the current weather sticker as
I'm editing the page, but can't see the Amber Alert sticker until
it previews in the browser. Any assistance or explanations would be
most welcome!

I don't know if this will help explain anything, but here is
the HTML code I was given to recreate the weather sticker. I'm just
not entirely sure how to implement it correctly.

Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist

Dear Masters
I am getting below error for master data (0MATERIAL_ATTR), while loading data from PSA to Info object through DTP (I have set the Handle duliocate record also). When I checked that error data in Error Stack, I am getting below error for all records(100)

I'm the Dev Owner for the filtering experience in Power View. Sorry it took so long for me to reply.
In the Power View Advanced Filter cards, you cannot currently add more than two conditions. What Rhys meant about having as many AND filter conditions as you like is that because all of the filter cards are AND-ed together, you can effectively have
more than two filter conditions by adding multiple 'LastModifiedDate' cards.
Unfortunately this won't help you if you're looking to OR more than two conditions.
Adding the ability to have more than two conditions in a single Advanced Filter card is something that is near and dear to my heart, but it does open questions of nesting and grouping which would need to be addressed first in order to be able to offer a
complete solution.

Addiing fixed filters to Advanced Search

We have a set of libraries with custom columns in each. These are resulting from importing metadata from a legacy document management system. What I need to be able to do is to set up a way of searching each of these libraries and associated metadata in
isolation from each other.
I have created a page for each library using the advanced search web part and tried to customise it. I can add the metadata search fields sucessfully and use them to narrow down the search but the results page returns results from the whole subsite. I have
had limited sucess using an additional column for each library that has a unique name and I can use the drop down to search that but I would like to be able to force that in the search.
I can do it with the simple search (setting additional query terms) but then I don't get the option to add the restrictions for the other columns. I thought I could edit the keywordQuery field to add in something like
metaterm:"ABC"
This works if I add it to a result type that already specifies a document type but not for the generic "All Results". What have I missed.
The result type that works only works if I use the OR operator and not the AND operator, I would have expected the AND to give me what I want and the OR to give me lots more results.

Based on your description, you want to search from each library.
My suggestion is that you can create search scope for every library and use the scope in the Advanced search web part.
1. Create search scope for every library, and when you create, you should choose the advanced search, only you choose the advanced search, the search scope will display in the advanced search web part.
2. Edit the advanced search web part, choose the show the scope picker, you can see the search scope in the advanced search web part.

Advanced HTML Document use

Ok, I'm using an HTML Document in my Java Applet Jabber client. Currently I'm using an HTML Document for the chat area. What I'm lacking is the ability to turn html on/off or put in text that contains actual HTML without parsing it out.
I've tried replacing the < and > 's with > and < but to no avail. This simply removes the hats or whatever they're called and everything between them completely from the content of the document. I've tried using the whitespace attribute of css which also did not work. I've tried 'pre' tags, and I've tried closing the html tag and re-opening it. I tried changing the content type of the document. None of these have worked, they simply remove the html or the entire text altogether. I'm guessing I either have to modify the parser or play with the actual objects of the html.
Here's how I'm inserting the html(this is the only way I could get it to work).

Exporting HTML

Hi all,
I'm trying to generate HTML content out of selected articles on my documents via JavaScript. I though it would be as easy as exporting a pdf but apparently is not. The only solution I can think of is this: tag every Paragraph Style, export the XML, apply XSLT and keep only the paragraph styles from the articles I want and then get the HTML.
I think I can do that (not sure how it will turn out) but it seems to me a lot of going around... Any other ideas for this?

Thanks, I'll try this way then. I'm kind of new to all this, so forgive if this is a stupid question. My main concern is this: how do you add, in the XSLT file, the CSS style for each tag, or paragraph style? (I have the CSS from exporting manually the HTML but not sure where to apply it here).
And how do you get from Indesign, via exporting filtered XML and HTML and not an XML. Below my simple XSL with a line <xsl:output method="html"/> trying to export html but no success, still exports as xml. Again, I´m sure am missing something important.
Also, how do you link an XSL to javascript?

Filtering Spam with JavaMail

My spam filter, ChiaraMail, has come up against some spam which it doesn't know how to deal with. Specifically, I've been getting more and more spam whose content is in HTML and obfuscated with "<...>" tags. For example,
M<foo>ake<bar>Mo<fasdf>ney<vcbvcx>Fas<rtew>t!
The obfuscating stuff gets filtered out by HTML readers, and therefore the "message" gets displayed OK. Is there a way for JavaMail to filter it out as well? This message obfuscation technique seems to be the state of the art in spamming technology, so I need to be able to deal with it (I get over 500 pieces of spam per day, which is why I wrote ChiaraMail). One way could be to first separate out each word,and then discard all unwanted words if any. Then in the remaining set in each word get rid of the special characters and do the above check again.
Whatever left is fairly clean. But this is just a trivial implementation. any body could get away by introducing an extra space within each letter !!!!

Parameter Passing from HTML to RDF.

I have configured report server to work under Apache Web server.I can generate reports that fetches all the records from the Oracle 8i database and diplay it in the browser.What I need now is.The user will be entering some fields(for filtering) in a html page and that values has to be passed to the RDF file for the SQL statment to filter the records that satisfy the criteria.Can anyone please help me in this if U haev any prior experience or any guesses or atleast any reference material(books) or web sites atleast

Here is an example if it helps. We have a report that accepts two parameters. Here is the listing in the cgicmd.dat file:
report_jeop_d: report=jep_detail.rdf destype=cache desformat=html server=Rep60_REPORTSERVER6I P_TEO=%1 P_ORG_ID=%2
P_TEO and P_ORG_ID are the two parameters we wish to pass to Reports. Here is the URL to run the report:

where we want P_TEO to be ABC and P_ORG_ID to be 100. ABC is the first parameter and is passed to the variable referenced by %1 in the cgicmd.dat file.

HTML Dataset - how to filter based on data values within columns

I have had success with using the XML dataset and filtering based on user input (see javascript example below)

I need to accomplish this type of filtering with an HTML table. All that I have been able to accomplish with the use of the in the rowselector (see example below)

How can I filter the HTML dataset based on the data VALUES within the table columns and NOT the class or id or span or div,,,etc?
Although my advanced dataselector within Dreamweaver CS4 has a column selector... I can't under or get it to work.

According to your description, you want to pass the Terminal number that user logon to where clause without needing to create a userid table, right?
As per my understanding, you need to add an additional table to store the user and corresponding terminal, so that you can filter the data to show the rows based on the user and corresponding terminal. Here are some blogs which describe dynamic security

How to display IR field value in HTML

All,
I have an interactive report and in the region header part I want to display a value of employee number for which this IR has been called, my HTML Looks like this in region header but it display "Employee Number:#EMPLOYEE_NUMBER# " and does not replace value. I am newbie and web technologies and all of us in my company of forms programmers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Lookup in advanced search

I'm trying to modify the Asset Advanced Search Options in the main window of the FCSvr client. I want to use lookups (aka pop-up or drop-down) as part of the search alternative. Let's say I want the user to be able to search for HD video clips. For this I want a lookup field named "Resolution" that has three alternative, All, HD and SD.
But when I try to create this field I get a search fields with one lookup with the altenative All, Equals and Not Equals, and next to this I get another lookup with the alternative None, HD and SD. What I want is only one lookup in this search field, with the alternative All, HD and SD. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how do I achieve this?

Thanks for your reply. I suspected that this was the case.
The strange thing though, is that among the default advanced search options there's a field, Metadata Filtering, that actually has this layout. In this field there is only one lookup. The default is "Do not include log & capture metadata", and then there is two more, "Include log & capture metadata" and "Only include log & capture metadata". Also, strangely, if I open "Filter Mode", that is the lookup for Metadata Filtering, the alternative "Do not include log & capture metadata" isn't even there.
Anyway, I was hoping for a layout for filtering in Advanced Search as e.g. http://www.beyondtheline.org/Video/ but I guess I have to rethink.

TREX Search : static HTML pages in KM with links to other intranet websites

we have some static HTML pages stored in KM. Besides text, these pages contain links ot other intranet websites, pdf or word documents.

Following parameters have been added :
IndexInternalLinks = true
indexContentOfExternalLink = true
showWithoutDatasource = true
Already had a look at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Crawlers and Crawler Parameters</a>, tried by creating a new crawler profile and setting
Maximum Depth = 3 (we want to search three levels deep)
There is also <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Resource Filters</a>
The html pages itself are included in the index, but the content of the external links is not included.
Would this be possible? We don't want to define an <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">HTTP System</a> in the system landscape, as we don't need to index the whole external website and some parts of it are obsolete - we only want following the links and included the external content in the index.
Portal version is NW2004S SP10.

WebElements, Custom HTML and missing !DOCTYPE

In our Crystal Reports, we are using a combination of the WebElements library along with a custom HTML function library to display advanced HTML elements for parameter selection. Our custom HTML library contains some JQUERY UI components. We are using IE7. Our BO environment is R3 SP4.
The issue that I have encountered is that the JQUERY UI components require a valid <!DOCTYPE> specification to render correctly - such as <!DOCTYPE HTML> or <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> but from my research, the Crystal Report Viewer appears to not be adding a valid <!DOCTYPE> specification to its HTML stream (which most modern HTML always includes).
Without the presence of a valid <!DOCTYPE> specification, IE7 is rendering the HTML in a "BackCompat" mode instead of a "CSS1Compat" mode.
Any help in overcoming this issue - or getting SAP to add <!DOCTYPE> to the Crystal Report viewer - would be greatly
appreciated!

This thread and also my problem deals with DOCTYPE problems within BW 3.5 Web Application Designer using standard web templates. The websites are generated/rendered by a class called CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE which inserts javascript before the DOCTYPE tag.
One solution would be to change the standard class by:
1. Creating a new class inheriting from CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE
2. Overload the method RENDER, copy all code and concatenate at the end of the method the DOCTYPE element to the member n_sx_output-string
3. Adjust the setting of the default template within the table RSRRENDERERATR for the key REN_NAME=CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE, ATTR_NAME=NAME. Change the field VALUE from "CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE" to the new class.
This solution should work, but is kind of crappy and the risk for side effects on other renderings is too high.
I was not able to find the note mentioned in the posting of Joel Blackthorne. What does "customer note" mean?

Displaying Styled HTML in a frame

Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to go to, but anyway.
I have a styled html page. And with styled, I mean I'm using a css stylesheet on it. I want to display this page inside a JFrame. This is supposedlly easy and uncomplicated according to suns javadoc. I can choose to use either a JEditorPane or a JTextPane. Set the content type and use the .setPage method to load the url of the page to be displayed. The page is displayed, but without any styling.
I've tried to have the stylesheet inside the html document, and as a linked reference. But the same result is displayed. Everything within the <STYLE> tags are displayed as standard text (not very attractive).
Is there something I'm missing? Do I have to make my own HTML parser to do this job? The HTML viewer in JDeveloper shows my page nicelly. What can be done?

Search on JARS.com, there's several out there, the JEditorPane implementation is ok for the basics, but can't handle the more advanced HTML (i.e. CSS, etc.)
