Filtering parameters in a query

Hi there,
I need some help, I trying to make a query using a filter from the SAP windows of OCRD only for vendor, the search filtering windows present only the CUSTUMES not the VENDORS for example BAPROSA BONO or DIAPA BONO (are two of my custumers in my Data Base) and BAPROSA or DIAPA (are two of my vendores)
here is the way that i used to get the filtering window: (@S1  is the set value that gets the send paramiter from the window)
tks for you help!!!!
/* SELECT FROM dbo.OINV T0 */ DECLARE @FechaInicio DateTime
/* WHERE */ SET @FechaInicio=/* T0.DocDate */ '[%0]'
/* SELECT FROM dbo.OINV T1 */ DECLARE @FechaFinal DateTime
/* WHERE */ SET @FechaFinal=/* T1.DocDate */ '[%1]'
/* SELECT  FROM OCRD WHERE CardType = 'S'*/ DECLARE @S1 nVarChar(100)
/* WHERE */  SET @S1=/* T0.[CardName] */ '[%2]'
Select a.cardcode  AS 'Codigo',a.cardname AS 'Nombre',Year(a.DocDate) AS 'Ano',
Month(a.DocDate) AS 'Mes', SUM(a.doctotal-a.vatsum+a.wtsum) as 'COMPRAS', '0.00' as 'PAGOS'
INTO #TEMP1
  From OPCH a
   WHERE a.DocDate BETWEEN @FechaInicio AND @FechaFinal AND a.cardname = @S1
--WHERE a.DocDate  between [%0] and [%1]
  group by a.CardCode,a.cardname,a.docdate,a.transid,a.docnum

The problem was solved!
The date filter was made from dbo.OINV (clients invoice) so I change it for dbo.OPCH (vendor invoice)
/* SELECT FROM dbo.OINV  dbo.OPCH T0 */ DECLARE @FechaInicio DateTime
/* WHERE */ SET @FechaInicio=/* T0.DocDate */ '[%0]'
/* SELECT FROM dbo.OINV dbo.OPCH T1 */ DECLARE @FechaFinal DateTime
/* WHERE */ SET @FechaFinal=/* T1.DocDate */ '[%1]'
/* SELECT  FROM OCRD WHERE CardType = 'S'*/ DECLARE @S1 nVarChar(100)
/* WHERE */  SET @S1=/* T0.[CardName] */ '[%2]'

  • In which tables BEx Filters parameters stored in?

    Hi, gurus!
    Can you tell me, in which tables I can find BEx filters parameters? E.g. I would like to find in which filters we are using variable V as a restriction of char C?
    By the way, maybe someone could tell me IP analog of the BPS table UPC_FORML? I mean where could I find every texts of our IP FOX formulas?

    Hi Mikhail,
    You can get BEx filter param for characteristics from table rszrange. You will get element ID's of restrictions from this table for each characteristic restriction. You will then have to take these ELTUIDs and put them in table rszeltxref to get COMPUIDs for queries for the aforementioned restrictions. Then, you can get query tech names from RSRREPDIR for these COMPUIDs.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek.

    The correct way to handle this is to use bind variables.
    And use DBMS_XMLGEN instead of DBMS_XMLQUERY :
    create or replace procedure temp (

  • Does XML approach for passing parameters in the query make the query slow?

    Hi,
    I am using XML approach for passing parameters in a query. This is running very slow but when I pass comma separated values in parameter, it runs very fast.
    So it concludes that we should not use XML approach for passing parameters. Please confirm me that Am I right or wrong?
    I have also googled to clear my doubt but not get solution till now. please help me.

  • Defining more parameters than a query needs

    Hi.
    When I run the following code, I get the error "ORA-01036: illegal variable name/number" .
    The problem is that I currently define more parameters than the query needs. Thats because I don't know how many bind variables the query uses, and I would not like to parse the query ...
    I don't understand why I have to define exactly the same number of parameters, and in the exact order ... It doesn't make sense. As bind variables have names, there should be no problem passing more parameters or parameters in a different order: the binding should be done by name...
    I'm currently using Oracle10g, ODP.NET and .NET Framework 2.0.
    I would appreciate any help ...
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    BindByPosition is the default behavior as per the docs, and you can change that by setting cmd.BindByName=true which adds a little bit of extra overhead.
    That wont fix the error seen when binding a random number of parameters to the statement though. You need to bind the correct number and types of parameters.

  • Passing parameters to select query in DB link from invoke...

    I am having a DB partner link which executes the select query based on user specified parameter.
    Now i have created an invoke activity and specified input[this needs to be passed to query] and output parameters[this is query result]. This invoke activity calls DB partner link in which one parameter has been created to be used in select query. So my doubt is , will DB partner link take up the input parameter of invoke activity automatically or do we need to specify any mapping for this?

    When you create a db partnerlink the parameter you create for your select is the input and when you create the input variable in the invoke for this partnerlink it is created with the right type for the parameter.
    Create an Assign before your invoke and assign a value to the input variable you created in the invoke. That value will be passed and used as the parameter in the select.

    For example, this parameters can be printed like 'abc,dde,ggf,eeg' ,once I use  "join(Parameters!rpCode.Value,",")" with report builder ,
    By the way, when I test this multiple parameters by Query Designer of report builder there was no problem,.(using Define query parameters, I put abc,dde,ggf,eeg)
    however, when I run this report , it won't be executing ,  with (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
    Plz, help me....

    If its sql query then it should like this

  • How to pass runtime parameters to Oracle Query from xMII server

    Please can anybody  help me that how to pass runtime parameter to Orcle Query  from xMII server.

    It works the same way as I described in this thread [How to pass runtime parameters to MySQL Query from xMII server].  It does not matter the datasource MII will work the same for all queries, at least for passing in parameters.  How to write those queries and their datatypes will be the differences.

  • How to pass runtime parameters to MySQL Query from xMII server

    Please can anybody help in How to pass runtime parameters to Orcle Query from xMII server

    The answer is the same as for your other thread.  The mechanism is the same regardless of the end database.  The SQL  syntax will be different for each database vendor depending upon which functions you are invoking.  The main areas of difference between SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc. deal with dates (times also) and strings, but there are others as well.

  • Using external parameters within MS Query returning that data right into a pivot table Excel 2010

    In Excel 2010 i was able to use the external parameters within MS Query returning that data right into a pivot table.  But the parameter on the worksheet will not save in the paremeter setting of the data connection.  And if you save it and open
    it and try to refresh the pivot table Excel stops responding and you have to force the file closed.  I found out the reason to crash is that it did not keep the parameter saved.
    Can this be fixed?

  • How to pass a list of parameters to a query?

    Hi,
    I use OracleXE 10 Database with JDeveloper 11g.
    In my project I use a Toplink mapping to get access to the database (Toplink Object Map file). This mapping xml file is called crmMap.xml.
    In the crmMap.xml file I define a mapping to a "User table" which has the four columns id (number), title (varchar2), firstName (varchar2) and lastName (varchar2). A title can have the four values Bachelor, Master, Doctor and Professor.
    I do define a query in crmMap.xml which has to find all the users that have a special title. I do give the query one parameter called "title" which has the type "java.util.ArrayList". The parameter "title" is a list that has for example the two values "Bachelor" and "Doctor", if I want to find all the users that are Bachelor or Doctor. The query looks like this ...
    Select * from User where title in(?title)I do use an EJB Session Bean to call the query. The code looks like this ...
    public List<User> findUserByStatus() {
        Session session = getSessionFactory().acquireSession();
        Vector params = new Vector(1);
        List stati = new ArrayList();
        stati.add("Doctor");
        stati.add("Bachelor");
        params.add(stati);
        List<User> result = (List<User>)session.executeQuery("findUserByStatus", User.class, params);
        session.release();
        return result;
    }Doing this I get an error, in the line
    List<User> result = (List<User>)session.executeQuery("findUserByStatus", User.class, params);while the app is trying to execute the query.

         bind => [[Doctor,Bachelor]]Does anyone know a way how to pass a list of parameters
    Thanks Bodhy

    Hi,
    One alternative way is to create String with , sepearted as pass the string to in clause.For example ,create a string ('Bachelor','Doctor') and pass this string to in clause.
    Session session = getSessionFactory().acquireSession();
    String params=( 'Bachelor','Doctor);
    List<User> result = (List<User>)session.executeQuery("findUserByStatus", User.class, params);
    session.release();
    This is an alternative way and workaround which can work for Strings .
    Or you can use EXpression to build the query to pass the collection as example given below.
    Expression addressExpression;
    ReadObjectQuery query = new ReadObjectQuery(Employee.class);
    ExpressionBuilder emp = query.getExpressionBuilder();
    addressExpression =
    emp.get("address").get("city").equal(
    emp.getParameter("employee").get("address").get("city"));
    query.setName("findByCity");
    query.setSelectionCriteria(addressExpression);
    query.addArgument("employee");
    Vector v = new Vector();
    v.addElement(employee);
    Employee e = (Employee) session.executeQuery(query, v);
    Hope this helps.

  • How to bind/pass multiple input parameters to sql query in BPEL Process

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to invoke a query on a database table to fetch the records based on the few input values or bind variables?
    I have created a Partner link using the DBAdapter service and have used custom SQL, how can i bind and pass multiple bind/input parameters for these queries.
    foreg: if i have to query employee records based on name , desgination and age, these three params would be my input parameter that i will pass when i invoke the BPEL process, bow how can i pass these parameters to the partner link using DBADAPTER service.
    Please help
    Regards

    If the parameter-value is not known beforehand and cannot be determined based on the process instance data at that time, there are 2 options. Either invoke the PL/SQL procedure you named using a DB adapter service to get the value and pass it to the other DB adapter service. Or create a single service (e.g. PL/SQL procedure) that determines the parameter value, executes the query and returns the result. However, this is more a design issue. Does it makes sense to combine these actions in a separate service and use it or are these actions not related? You furthermore state that additional (DB adapter) services make the process heavier. Do you have strict requirements on the time process-instances may run or other such requirements? If not, I think the design-choice on whether combining these actions in a single service should have more priority.

  • How to pass Multi and Singlr value Parameters to DB2 query, which is using in SSRS report for ODBC connection

    Hi Guys,
    I am using DB2 database in SSRS. I have to pass Single Value and Multi Value Parameters. I tried with Select * From DB2Table Where
    Column=@PRM_Name Or Select * From DB2Table Where
    Column=:PRM_Name . It is not working and throwing error. Please help me out.
    Connection Details: ODBC
    Thanks Shiven:)

    Hi SKM,
    So you mean to say that Go to DataSource->Add Dataset-> Query Type-Text-> Under Query:
    click on fx (Expression)-> Write this expression
    For Single Value Parameter:
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city = '" + Parameters!City.Value + "'"
    OR
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city =  '" & Parameters!City.Value & "'"
    Keep it in mind if Parameter is String then
    It should be in Single quote ''.
     Like
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable WHERE city
    ='Hyderabad' "
    For Multivalu Parameter:
    ="SELECT EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, LoginID FROM SHIVEN.AUDIT Where FirstName
    in ('" + REPLACE(JOIN(Parameters!City.Value,","),",","','") + "')"
    NOTE:
    If your Parameter is Single Value Parameter and You want to enter string values with Coma (,)
    separated (Like Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi).
    In this case, you have to use below expression.
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city IN ('" + REPLACE(Parameters!City.Value ,",","','") + "')"
    OR
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city IN  ('" & REPLACE(Parameters!City.Value ,",","','") & "')"
    In above expression: Replace will replace all , with ‘,’ and city IN (‘Hyderabad’, ‘Chennai’,
    ‘Delhi’) will not throw any error.
     Note: You have to write expression in one line in Expression editor for dataset
    query
    Thanks It is working fine but it is tough job if query is big.
    Hi S kumar,
    The above approach we use when we have source like DB2, becasue DB2 has some syntactical differences to pass multivalue paramaeter. I tested and it works good, if i am mentioning the query in above format by using Fx button while creating dataset.
    but if we want fetch data from view which exist in DB2 and we need to call db2 view in SSRS and pass multivalue parameter in a way we did above then could you please mention the steps and way to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Passing parameters for a query throught XML and capturing response in the same

     Where i have a List of dsRequest and RequestParams, where i can send any number of requests for Insert,Update. I have two a XML element defined in RequestParams "RowsEffected","error" where the result will be caputred and is updated
    to the response XML.
    I have 6 defined in RequestParams
    EMP_SALARY(int),ACC_NO(int),EMP_CITY(string),EMP_NAME(string),EMP_CONTACT(string),EMP_JOM(string)
    My Question is:
    When i am trying to build response XML with the following code, the parameters which are not given in the Request XML are also appearing in the Response.
                    ResponseParams.Add(
    newdsResponse()
                        ACTION = OriginalParams[a].ACTION,
                        SOURCE = OriginalParams[a].SOURCE,
                        Manager = OriginalParams[a].Manager,
                        RequestParams = OriginalParams[a].RequestParams
    Where the OriginalParams is dsRequest
    Ex: In my update query i will only send three parameters, but in my response building with ablove code, i am getting all the variables defined as INT in the RequestParameters.
    Is there any way i can avoid this and build response with only the parameters given in the Request ??
    Appreciate ur help..Thanks
    Cronsey.

    Hi Kristin,
    My project is, User will be giving the parameters in the excel, and using VBA, the values are captured and an XML is created in the above mentioned format and is send to web service for the Insert/Update.
    I created a webservice which reads the values from <datacontract> and it consist of list of <dsRequests> where any number of Insert/Upate commands can be executed, with in which it contains a list of <RequestParams> for multiple insertion/Updation.
    //function call
    OriginalParams = generator.Function(query, OriginalParams);
    where OriginalParams is List<dsRequest>
    //inside function
    command.Parameters.Add()// parameters adding
    int
    val = command.ExecuteNonQuery();
    after the execution,an XML element is added for the response part.and it is looped for all the RequestParams.
    OriginalParams[i].Result.Add(
    newResult()
    { ERROR = "No Error",
    ROWS_EFFECTEFD = 1 });
    //once all the execution is done the response building part
    for(inta
    = 0; a < OriginalParams.Count; a++)
                    ResponseParams.Add(
    newdsResponse()
                      Result = OriginalParams[a].Result
    QUEST: When i am trying to build response XML with the following code, the parameters which are not given in the Request XML are also appearing in the Response.
    Ex: In my update query i will only send three parameters, but in my response building with ablove code, i am getting all the variables defined as INT in the RequestParameters.
    Is there any way i can avoid this and build response with only the parameters given in the Request ??

  • Using Parameters in SQL-Query not only in where clauses

    Hi,
    I try to use Publisher parameters in the SQL Query from a Data Set.
    All of them have default values.
    So far, this is no problem, unless I try to use such a parameter value as an ordinary attribute value:

         case when (:pv_Group = 'no') then "DM15D_BETRIEBSTEIL"."SUVA_NR_FORM"
                                            else :pv_some_Text end                                                        as Suva_Nr,
         case when (:pv_Group = 'no') then "DM15K_RIS_FAKTEN_PRO_BTT_JHR"."RIS_VOLLBESCH"
                                            else sum("DM15K_RIS_FAKTEN_PRO_BTT_JHR"."RIS_VOLLBESCH") end      as Vollbesch

         fetch first 65001 rows ONLY
    >
    The parameters 'pv_Group' and 'pv_nim100' are working fine. (when or where clauses)
    The parameter 'pv_some_Text' unfortunately not. (simple literals)
    When I try to validate the above SQL, I get the following Error:
    <font color="red">
    java.io.IOException: prepare query failed[nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 46033] Datatype: 25 is not supported.
    </font>
    After use a cast function:
    >
    else CAST(:pv_some_Text AS CHARACTER)
    >
    I get this ERROR:
    <font color="red">
    java.io.IOException: prepare query failed[nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 19002] Incorrect use of parameters. The parameters used in CAST cannot be resolved without ambiguity.

    We use OBIEE 11.1.1.6.4 on a Win64-System.
    Thank's for any help.

    Hi Alex,
    let's leave away any unnecessary details.
    This is the SQL, inserted in the window 'Edit Data Set' of BIP Data Model:
    >
    select
         '--1'     as Betr_Teil,
         '--2'      as Suva_Nr,

         fetch first 65001 rows ONLY
    >
    Everything is fine when I click OK, the script goes back to the metadata.
    Let's try this script with bind values in ORACLE SQL Developer.
    This SQL is the physical part, found in the OBIEE-Log (Log level 5), except the bind values. Therefore we find, in the where clause, the join. In the logical sql, we don't have to join, because it's handled in the Common Enterprise Information Model (CEIM)

    This SQL works fine, even with bind values for 'pv_some_text'.
    But, when using the following SQL in the BIP Data Model:
    >

         :pv_Text as Betr_Teil,
         :pv_Text as Suva_Nr,

    The following ERROR occurs:

    In my opinion, either I use a wrong syntax, or BIP has a problem with parsing the script.
