Filters: how to exclude files

Hello,
I want to apply a filter on this pattern /*, but I want to exclude all files that have extension, is there any way that I can specify the filter to exclude words that have period in it.
I want that filter will work on following URL
http://localhost:8080/abc/12121
http://localhost:8080/abc/cyccyc/98754
http://localhost:8080/abc/X3lkdf/321321 etc..etc...
But it should exclude all th following URLS
http://localhost:8080/abc/index.jsp
http://localhost:8080/abc/index.jpg
http://localhost:8080/abc/index.gif
http://localhost:8080/abc/index.js
http://localhost:8080/abc/index.css etc..etc...
is there any way to specify such mapping, which excludes certain patterns.

  • How to exclude files within Packages?

I'd like to exclude certain files (or directories) from Time Machine's backup, but these files are within a Package file.
iWebSites is an application that manages multiple Domain files for iWeb. It does so by copying and moving a Domain file for each iWeb Site you create, so that you can have an iWeb 'library" with Site A and Site C in it, and a different "library" with Site B in it (you don't have to have one library containing Site A, Site B, and Site C). However, iWebSites stores all of the separate Domain files into one Package file.
I want to backup some iWeb sites, but not all of them. So I want to use iWebSites to split them up into different files and then have some of them excluded by Time Machine.
Using Time Machine's "Exclude" functionality, I don't see a way to do this. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

I never tried it but the obvious thing to try would be the following. Right-click on the package and choose "show package contents. This will open a finder window with the contents of the package. Drag what you need to the TM exclusion tab.

    Hi,
i guess this option is only avaible for file receiver adapter (and only for FTP not for NFS).
To use a very short polling interval is not such a good idea, because if the adapter runs nonstop it will poll all the way around.
I think the only way will be to collect the messages in an integration process.
There exists already a pattern for this case:

By the way i don't understand what it has to do with the exclusion mask?

  • How to exclude two kind of files in the same folder in sender cc?

    Hi,gurus:
Now we are using "advanced selection for source files" in sender file adapter.
    Our requirement is as below:
The source directory is  c:\test and there are many files in the directory.
We want to transfer all the files except aa.txt and bb.txt.
We have to implement it in one scenario, but it couldn't work.
It worked only when we transferred all the files except aa.txt or bb.txt, but not work when we want to transfer except aatxt and bb.txt.
I checked the blog "XI/PI: how to exclude files in a sender File adapter?",but it is not the same issue.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
The only way to solve your purpose is
Provide the list of file names like c. d. e. f. whatever possible number of file names in the "File Name Mask" column and provide the directory names by clicking on plus for additional rows. just dont use aa.* and bb. anywhere. This will do your purpose.
    Thanks!

    Hi guys,

  • How to Exclude a sub directorys from polling using FileAdapter of BPEL Proc

    Hi all,
I have a BPEL process with file adapter which is polling to root folder .
I want to exclude File polling for some of the sub folder of the BPEL process.
How to exclude file polling for sub folder i know the option is available for file name not for folder.
    Thanks
    Phani

dude, you have to give the exact name of the folder you want to poll to,
you can also pass the location of the folder at runtime/dynamically.
In 10 G only single location can be polled by single file adapter
in 11 g we can poll different folders by single file adapter
However I doubt that there can be selective polling to multiple folder.

  • How to exclude schema name from exported files (PL SQL Developer)

    Dear all,
Just one question: I am using PL SQL Developer. My goal is to export some data (as .sql and .dmp files) from one database and to import them into the another database (both databases have identical structure - test database and production, just different database names and names of schema. In order to make it possible, I need to exclude schema name from generated export file. I believe that it is possible to do it automatically by setting up parameters of PL SQL Developer. How?
    Thank you in advance,
    Kindest regards,
    Dragana

In the meantime, I have found the answer on my previous question:
Actually, the initial idea (how to exclude schema name from exported files) was wrong. No need for any intervention.
Trick is: Schema name can be changed during the import of exported files (PL SQL Developer during import gives possibility: From User (old schema) To User (new schema) .
Hope that this will be useful info for others.

  • Time Machine Excluded Files have no effect?

So, I cleared out one of my 200GB external drives, hoping to at least just backup my photos and MP3s if nothing else.
Time Machine says it needs about 365GB to do a backup. I purchased a 320GB drive today for $88 (hard to pass up a good deal on external drives) and I excluded system files, other external drives, temp folders I used for Photoshop/FCP caches, downloads folders, and a whole lot of other things. TM is STILL telling me that the backup is going to require 365GB. No matter how many items I add into the exclusion list, that size never changes.
    My question is three-fold :
    1. Is there a known bug with excluding files from backup, where TM has to at least backup everything once, and THEN it'll allow exclusion?
    2. "Do Not Back Up" exclusion list, at the bottom, it says "Total Included : 272.4GB". Is that 272.4GB that I've chosen to NOT include, or is it saying that the backup should only take 272.4GB?
    3. If the latter of my 2nd question is true, then why does TM fail every time, saying I need 365GB?
I've searched up and down these forums, Apple's own support docs, and in every TM-related help file in OS X and I haven't found an answer to any of these questions yet.
Also, if anyone knows how to span disks with TM (I have 4 internal and 3 external drives) to use for backups, that'd be great.

That's what's really confusing me. I excluded all those files before I'd ever attempted a backup. Then, I added more and more to see if I could get it working with a 200GB external drive.
However, once I purchased the 320GB drive, I figured I could just exclude a few more files and use that drive. Obviously, I reformatted it prior to even opening TM. It's a completely fresh drive.
Are you saying that TM would recalculate the space required if I were to remove all the excluded files from the list, THEN re-added them, and THEN turned it on?

  • Time Machine backups excluded files

After six months of normal operation, without any reason Time Machine backups large dimension VM Parallels files even if path of these files have been excluded in TM preferences and in Parallels Desktop 6 setup.
Such excluded files are located in /Users/Shared/Parallels/Parallels/.
File /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine.plist. lists the mentioned files in IncludeByPath (why?).
Some one may help in suggesting how to reestablish normal operation?
Is there a procedure to setup TM parameters?
I cancelled com.apple.TimeMachine.plist, but this operation did not recovered the problem.
    Thank you

If you quit System Preferences, deleted that file and re-entered the exclusions properly via +Time Machine Preferences > Options,+ that should stop new backups of those items.
You can delete all the old ones via the procedure in #12 of [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

  • How to exclude some tables in inoort

    Hi all,
how to exclude some tables . For example, I have Oracle
export file which contains a hundred tables, but I want to import all the tables except one, i.e. its (some table name) . Can I achieve this goal?
    thanks in advance.

    Hello,
It depends on your Oracle Release.
Up to Oracle *9.2* you have just the classical export/import utility.
So, you'll have to list the Tables you want to Import with the following parameter:
    TABLES=(
    <table_1>,
    <table_n>
)Starting with *10.1* you have the Datapump (expdp / impdp). With this new utility you have the very useful parameter EXCLUDE. It works like that:
EXCLUDE=TABLE:"='<table>'"Please find a link about this topic:
    http://www.oraclefaq.net/2007/03/09/expdp-datapump-excludeinclude-parameters/
    Hope this help.
