We are upgrading from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3, ofter upgrading to 12.1.3 when i running the Financial Tax Register Report it is showing No Data Found.
Please reply me ASAP.

In Report eXchange Designer responsibility > Setup RXi>
Report Name filed > RX-only: Financial Tax Register Report
Here in available filed we have some options when selected to display filed and run the report in Tax Manager only those selected fields are displayed in the output.
Now our client want A filed called Voucher Number (AP invoice voucher num) to be displayed in the report. So please let me know how there is any extendable package, view or any thing that need customization to make that field available in final output.

Amend the rxi Financial tax register report to exclude discarded lines.

I would like to amend the rxi Financial Tax Report "RX-only: Financial Tax Register Report" to exclude discarded invoice lines.
From reading the details on how rxi reports work I don't think I am able to amend the rxi report to do this. What would be the best way for me to customise this report? Is there a view which the report looks at which I could use to base my customised version on?

Report shows "No data found" when validation fails

Hi folks,
I'm new to the OTN and have a short question regarding validations/report pagination.
We are using Apex 4.0.2.00.07.
I have a page containing a report with three columns.
First column is a checkbox (f30), the second one a date picker and the third one is a value field (f34).
I'm trying to build a validation for the value field (should only allow numeric values, but is varchar2) and used a validation with "Function Returning Boolean".
The PL/SQL code is:

Tried to disable pagination completely, but the error still displays when the validation fails.
Any help would be appreciated.

Print link on report shows 'no data found' when LOV has not been used

Hi all,
I have a simple standard report that queries data based on the value in a Select List. This Select List allows users to pick a year for the report. The LOV has a default of TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'YYYY').
If I open the page using the associated Tab everything wotks OK. However, if I open the page via a button on my home page, the prink links fails:
The page opens OK, the select list defaults OK and the report shows the correct data. However, if I click on the 'Download as CSV' or 'Print' links I get 'no data found'.
If I update the LOV to 2010 everything works. If I set it back to 2009 evenrything works. I just cant get it to work when I open the page.
I have tried adding computations to get this to work, but this does not seem to help.
Any ideas?

Hi,
It would depend on what has been added, if anything, to the redirect. The redirect should just function as though you had typed in a URL into the address bar and pressed Enter. The page doesn't get submitted, so any data entered onto the page itself is, unless it is already in session, lost. A button, however, should submit the page and Apex will store all values in the session. So, if the value you need for the LOV is from the previous page, then this is the preferred method - but, note, that the redirect can also store values provided the page item name and the value is included in the redirect's URL string

Upgrade to 4.0 shows no data found on tabular forms

Hi,
After upgrading from 3.x to 4.0, an application that had many tabular forms is now showing "no data found" in their regions. A few pages work, while many others do not.
Strangely enough, if I take the same sql in the source box and create a new page from scratch, the new tabular form shows the data properly. So it seems to be an issue with the upgrade. In one case it is a very simple "select col1, col2 etc from sample_table" type of syntax. Nothing complex there.
I wanted to see if others have experienced this.
In looking through the install log, I can not find any errors. The validation step also shows all objects compiled clean.

Hey David. Good to know I am not the only one.
Just to update some workarounds I have tried.
1) Taking an export from the 3.x application and importing it into 4.0 does not fix the issue (so maybe not a pure upgrade issue?).
2) Copying a page in 4.0 that has the issue and making a new page does not fix the issue.
3) Making a change to the tabular form sql in the source box and applying does not fix the issue.
Still the only workaround is to create a new page with same source sql and setup all the report field properties again.

Tax Report - Tax Register Book with no data

Hy all! I'm facing a problem with the tax report:
When i try to run the tax report (output mode: Tax register Book) i get the info message: "Data is not available; modify selection criteria and re-enter " and no results are display!
If i deselect the output mode "tax register book" and select the "vat declaration", with the same filters.... i can get results!
I'm working with SAP Business One 8.8 PL 20
Can anyone give me a hint?

Hi,
Check the issue whether the same is happening when the COPY of the database is upgraded to latest patch in Test Enviornment.
Else, you would be needing to log a message to SAP Support to get the issue investigated.

Cancelling a report when no data found

Hi All!
I have a report that prints directly to the printer. But if the report query fetches no data then a blank page is printed.
How should I raise a customized message and stop the report execution if there is no data found?

Hello,
Another way is this: Put a report level summary in the data model that counts the rows in the query (use as the summary count source one of the columns of the main query).
Then create an after report trigger that looks something like this:
function AfterReport return boolean is

if (:cs_count = 0) then
raise srw.program_abort;
end if;
return (TRUE);
end;This will cause the report to stop execution. It'll show an error like this in the report server log:
REP-1419: 'afterreport': PL/SQL program aborted.
You'll have to warn people about this particular error log entry as this may look like abnormal termination, when in fact it is a deliberate termination of the report. But at least you won't get a blank page.

Search report - error-no data found when printing to csv format

Hi all,
I have a search report,
I have 4 select list and two text field and two date field to search for the result.
I have even put the computation for the select list items in
on load - before header ie setting the items to default value.
Still when i try to print it in the csv format , and try to open the excel, it is saying "no data found" error
Please, Could any one give me a solution to solve this bug?
Note: Ordinary report is getting printted in the csv format.

sorry, only when i select the values for all the 4 select list
csv is working. default values are not restored in the session.
How to restore the values in the session state after pressing the search button.
i have set the default values for the select list and the query is working fine
but when i see the session from the toolbar the default values are not present.
but when i see the debug from the toolbar the values are set properly.

In your example the session is showing the values of the select list and check box
The same way i did, but in "session" values are not seen so again no data found is seen when printing csv .

SQL Server 2008 R2 Disk Usage report showing incorrect data file

When I go to ANY database (System, AdventureWorks*, user) in Managemant Studio, I right-click on the db, select Reports, select Standard Reports, and select Disk Usage. The disk usage report shows the correct db on top, but always only shows AdventureWorks_Data.mdf
when I expand Disk Space Used by Data Files section. This happens to any db I try. When I look at Database Properties/Files for that database, the logical and physical file names are correct.
Since the correct files appear in Database Properties/Files, I'm hoping it's just a bug in the report. Same thing happens if I run a Disk Usage by Table report for ANY database, The tables for AdventureWorks always only appear,

I looked at the Properties for my login under Security/Logins and it shows my default db to be master. Not sure if this is correct, but it sounds plausible. I'll see if I can report the problem.
The only issue I can think of that was out of the ordinary for the install of 2008 R2 EE was this:
I originally installed 2005 DE, since it wouldn't expire. After the install of 2005 DE, I decided to uninstall it and install 2008 R2 EE. In between the installs of 2005 DE and 2008 R2 EE, I installed/uninstalled stupid stuff like 2008
Express, 2008 Express with Advanced Services (?), and 2008 EE. After each uninstall I also did a system restore to be safe.
Now each time I open Management Studio, i get a pop-up stating that there are SQL Server 2005 registered servers on my sytem and asks me if I want to add them into Management Studio. I always say no.
The AdventureWorks db is from 2005 and was installed automatically with 2005. I installed the 2005, 2008, and 2008 R2 AdventureWorks databases to my R2 for class. I'm not sure now if the Disk Usage report is showing me AdventureWorks_Data.mdf
because of my install into 2008 R2 EE or my previous install of 2005 DE.
Hope this kind of makes sense...

Date Picker query showing "No Data Found", works in SQLPlus

I have created 2 Date Picker items - P2_START_DATE and P2_END_DATE. I have set the format of these to 'DD-MON-YYYY'.
This is the query I have to select the data based on the values from the date pickers:
select sample_date,reading from meter_data where sample_date between to_date(:P2_START_DATE,'DD-MON-YYYY') and to_date(:P2_END_DATE,'DD-MON-YYYY') order by sample_date;
The P2_START_DATE is '20-JAN-2011', the P3_END_DATE is '21-JAN-2011'.
The query returns "No Data Found" when run in APEX, but when I run this in SQLPlus on the host I get data:
select sample_date,reading from meter_data where sample_date between to_date('20-JAN-2011','DD-MON-YYYY') and to_date('21-JAN-2011','DD-MON-YYYY') order by sample_date

I have a page, where two date picker(html5) items let say P30_FROM_DATE, P30_TO_DATE are there, apart from this i have one button as well,
when the user select the from and to date from the date picker, and as soon as click on the button (SHOW), need to display the 2D Stacked Bar Char.
so to achieve this, i have created a blank page, under region i have created a chart (2D Stacked Bar Chart), under items--> i have created two date picker items and one button.

Discoverer Report returning ' no data found '

i have an issue with one discoverer report .
Discoverer report name : EDI Price Exception Report.
when i ran the report in Discoverer Desktop edition It is returning 'No Data Found ' But i am taken the Query from admin edition and tried to ran in PL/SQL Developer/TOAD by setting Org_id condition
it's returning Data . the Desktop Edition of Discoverer for some specific date Range it's giving Data But from last month on wards it's not returning any Data.

Hi,
Assuming your initialization matches your discoverer login, it is pretty weird that you get no data.
I am not sure how you got the SQL but i suggest you trace the session to get the exact SQL ran by the discoverer.
You may find another condition or join that limits your data.
Also another thing that you should try is to initial the session by using all the parameters (including the security group as you have in your discoverer login):

Report shows no data in the Viewer

i'm new to Crystal Reports and i have to develop a few Reports.
I load the data with a stored procedure form a sql-server. This is working and i get all datas i need. But the Report Viewer doesn't show any data.
I don't know why.
If i do it over a select statement and not a stored procedure, the Report Viewer shows me each data set up to 9 times.
I'm working with three tables.
Here is the c# code i wrote.

That is not enough info. All my content below is based on the assumption that you are using CRVS2010 (V. 13.x)...
The code does not show you loading an actual report(?). Also, I'm assuming that after:

you have code to show the report in the viewer or you're printing exporting the report?
