Find all installed applications

coming from a Debian , Ubuntu environment I could find all installed applications with this command
dpkg --get-selections>installed
This would deposit a text of all installed applications in the working directory.
What command is there for pacman that is similar ?
I have looked through the man pages for makepkg and pacman , not finding a similar code.
I used this command but it has all details and dependencies
sudo pacman -Qi>installed
Just looking for a simple list.

in my test win server 2012 R2 datacenter, i have installed some applications such as mozilla firefox, Advanced renamer, office, Acrobat reader.
Get-WmiObject -class win32_product
Get-CimInstance -class win32_product
when i run either of the following commands to get the list of all installed Applications, system doesn't list some of them in result . for example office & Google chrome & some others
are shown but Mozilla Firefox & Advanced renamer & some others
are not !
a searched a lot but found nothing.
any idea?

You need to run as 32 bit to get the 32 bit applications like firefox and Acrobat. Run a 32 bit session and the alternates will be available or...get a script that can read this from the registry

Trouble finding all Installed Oracle packages and versions

How do I quickly find ALL installed oracle packages - like OWA etc. I know that I can look at DBA_OBJECTS - but I need to compare installed packages between two different databases? If anyone has any ideas - they will be very much appreciated.

You can do a MINUS on dba_objects in two different databases.
SELECT obj1.*, 'In DB1 Not in DB2' from dba_objects@db1 obj1

Adobe Creative Cloud unable to find any installed applications

I was updating my Indesign CS6 DPS Tool via Creative Cloud Desktop last month. However due to some internet connection error it failed. Tried to update it again later but there is no updates anymore. Logout from CC Desktop Application and log back in, all my applications are gone. It is no longer listed in CC Desktop. I have mainly CS6 and one CC application on my mac.
I have tried the following and it all did not work.
1. Change Language Perf from North American to International
2. Delete opm.db file from OOBE folder
3. Uninstall and Reinstall CC Desktop
4. Run Adobe Creative Cloud Cleanup tool
Now i am trying to reinstall but all the programs return an error. Uninstallation Failed. Your uninstallation encounted errors. Only program I manage to uninstall is CreativeCloud Desktop but it also states there are a few errors. Is there any log file I can refer to? I have also notice in the cleanup tool there is no CS6 or CC programs listed. The programs are working fine but it just do not appear as installed in creative cloud and the clean up tool.
I was using mac os 10.8.5 but yesterday I had to send my notebook for repair and the harddisk was replace due to bad sectors and the os is upgraded to 10.9.2. I used migraion utility to restore my files.

THe product I have installed is CS6 Design and Web. So I have Illustrator, Indesign, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro installed. I also have several trials like After Effects CC, Audition CS6, Edge Animate, Premiere Pro installed.
Currently all adobe installations are working fine no problems and issues. In the individual program I can also check for updates. Check the update preferences in application manager and all my installations are listed too. Below is a list of stuff that is broken.
1. Creative Cloud Desktop do not list any applications installed. It thinks I have no program installed. Tried all the possible fixes listed on the internet such as chnaging language, delete OPM.db file, reinstall and nothing works.
2. Downloading any new software or existing software fail at 42%. Which is when the download completes and the software begins to install.
3. Using any uninstaller included with the programs listed above results in a adobe application manager error. (Uninstallation Failed) So far I could only uninstall creative cloud desktop, flash player, adobe air.
4. Using creative cloud cleaner tool also do not list any cs 6 or cc installation. only creative cloud desktop.
5. I have tried reinstalling over using a dvd and also using prodesigntools website direct download links to reinstall it will result in a adobe application manager installation fail error
So currently I have all my adobe programs working great, there is no way to uninstall unless I manually delete the files which I feel is too drastic action to take since everything is working fine. If I uninstall it manaually and I can't reinstall it back due to errors I won't have any adobe software for work.
This problems started after a fail update and after logging out of the creative cloud desktop.
Any solutions?

N95-2: Cannot find pre-installed applications

I just purchased a N95-2 series phone. On my phone, the app manager shows Snakes, FIFA08 and asphalt 2 installed. However, these do not appear anywhere in n-gage games application.
Can someone tell me where I can find and access these games?

Cannot find my installed application on my computer (Mac)

I reinstalled Lightroom 5 on my computer (Mac) due to an internal error suddenly shutting the program down and now I cannot find the application on my computer after it said it successfully installed. I am trying to find answers and have been for awhile and am very frustrated at the support experience so far and would just like to be able to get back to work. Can someone please help me?

well since then i have bought this phone i installed many application like OXford Dictionary etc but unable to find it any where in Menu or any of sub folders despite best efforts, it just doesn't show up. Though the applcation manager do show those application to be installed there. But there is no icon of them anywhere to start them they just don't show up.

I can't find my installed files in my application folder

when i try to install something, my computer says it is installed and when i try to find the installed application i can't find it anywhere.
It's not in my application folder but it has some stuff in de application support folder. tried to google it but got no working result, anyone here?

Hotkeys Alt+Ctrl+F1 - Alt+Ctrl+F5 - which pre-install application intercepts them

I used to use keys combination from Alt+Ctrl+F1 to Alt+Ctrl+F5 as hotkeys for certain application. But in my new Lenovo ThinkPad w530 with Windows 7 x64 I can not do it, as it seems, that some pre-installed software has registered these combination for itself. When I press them, absolutely nothing happens, but if I try to assign these combinations in my app, i get the error message, that they are already registered for some other application.
I've checked twice all installed applications, starting from Window 7 itself. Seems, that none of them uses these keys.
Well, I've tried than to stop virtually any software, incuding resident utilities, but this hotkyes are still busy
Is there any ideas, which piece of software pre-installed by Lenovo might reserve these combination for itself?
Or is there any way to detect, which application intercepts handling this keys?

So what? Whether nobody has the same issue with occupied hotkeys or has no time to answer?
I suppose, that the problem is somehow connected to the package Intel Management and Security Status, which is pre-installed by Lenovo. But i could not find any option to change these default hotkeys or disable them at all.

All the applications crasing

Hi,
All the applications like MS Office 2010, Office Communicator 2007/Adobe reader/Win Zip in 2500 systems are crashing when opening.
in all the sytems, Event log message indicates that the Windows Installer reconfigured all installed applications.
It was working fine till 19-Apr-14. Problem is happening from today.
Please help me to solve the issue.

If it is possible, the simplest way is to perform a system restore.
But if this is a domain environment, you may check this situation:

KB2918614 Breaks MDT2012 Update 1 Task Sequence "Install Application" Items on Windows 7 deployments

Consider the following scenario:
You have a WDS deployment environment for your enterprise running on Windows Server 2008 R2.
You use MDT 2012 Update 01 to create a Windows 7 Task Sequence for workstation deployment.
The task sequence has an "Install Application" task to install Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU4 MP1b.
You either refresh your reference build to incorporate KB2918614 or you publish the update via WSUS and use the Install Updates task in the task sequence prior to the "Install Application" task to install the hotfix.
In this scenario, the "Install Application" task starts but never completes. The Symantec installation executable is never called and does not show up in Task Manager. All subsequent "Install Application" tasks exhibit the same behavior.
No error messages are generated. Eventually the Task Sequence itself times out and moves on to the next task.
If you remove update KB2918614 from your reference build or unapprove it from your WSUS server, all "Install Application" tasks in the task sequence execute correctly.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issues with deployments? My hunch is that the problem is not specific to the application being installed, and it may also be a problem for environments using SCCM to install Windows 7. I have not had a chance to explore
this more, so I kept my scenario to the facts that I have directly observed.

Quite the few incorrect assumptions, but thank you for your input. I disagree with your methodology and irrelevant conclusions.
Problem is quite clearly seen under easily reproducible conditions, which according to your description was not correctly proscribed. No one ever said the patch did not install correctly.
Whether the root cause is that mainstream third party applications are utilizing Microsoft solution accelerator proscribed methods that a privately reported vulnerability implicated as harmful; and thus the aforementioned patch changed the
expected behaviour to the detriment of mainstream certified applications in an unattended environment is at fault is up for discussion. Jamal's experience implicates the overall method in not only MDT but also SCCM so there stands a reasonable chance
that the problem exhibits on a further scale beyond the MDT environment.
However, as has been documented on a real world basis in the context of actual running environments (in which many do indeed still run Windows 7, much to all our chagrin and your self-declared shock) the issue still exists, and we must decline
your proposed solution as being appropriate to the described scenario. Your response clearly does not duplicate nor even attempt to recreate the problem space, If you had read clearly you would have seen we had already inserted a reboot in between the Windows
Update step in the TS and the "Install Application" step. Of course there are many other potential variables, hence why one should be quite careful about declaring an explicit problem or an explicit solution.
I believe Mike Niehaus clearly indicated the next step, and Jamal has confirmed the immediate workaround. I will encourage my clients to raise the issue through their EA channel.

Photoshop Elements 12 (fresh install, on fresh installed Windowss 7 Ulitmate 64 OS) was printing incorrect colors, now is not printing at all. All other applications will print. I was having this problem before I restored my PC back to factory defaults.

Leopard to snow leopard without have to instal all my applications...

Hi everybody!
I'm sorry if this question makes no sense,
but the thing is that I want to upgrade to snow leopard, and i'm not shore if is possible to do it without need to install again all my applications after, It would be lots of time, and I'm not shore if I would even find all the drivers... I use lots of plug-ins that i don't want to loose!
I Hope it's possible to upgrade without all the "rebuild" of my tools, but i'm not shore so please I will be tankful if anyone can help me!
