Find encryption strength of weblogic server 7.0

I use WebLogic Server 7.0. Is there any command available to find the encryption strength of the software?
Thanks
- Robot

You can have several servers under one domain. No need to create a new
domain for each server. Just configure a server and make sure they are
listening on different ports. you are all set.

  • How to find out Sessions in weblogic server

    Hi all,
i am new to weblogic and i am struck at these two questions while creating managed servers. Many people questioned me regarding this. Can you all please help me out.
1)Before adding a MS , how can we figure out the current load and what would be the impact/benefit be if we add a MS.
2)How many sessions can be handled by the unix Weblogic server?

    HI,
The answer of These kind of questions can be found only after the Load Test on the WLS. Because there is no formula to calculate these things. Because these things totally depends on various different things....Like Operating System, It's RAM, CPUs, JDKs, Application type(EJB, WebServices, Portal, Simple WebApp), Number of Users, The Physical Distance of ManagedServers and DataBases....Network Conjunction...etc
So no one can tell here the exact value. But for performance diagnostics you can refer to *"René van Wijk"* best article to find out these things using small tests as described in the following Link:

  • Error while starting the Weblogic Server in SOA Suite

    Hi All,
I installed SOA Suite 11.1.1.4.0 (weblogic server and SOA managaed server) couple of days back. The same machine has two more weblogic servers which contain different applications.(Means there total three Weblogic admin servers and one SOA manage server).
I used to start all the servers successfully .I also used to start SOA server successfully .
But today when I am trying to start Weblogic Admin server(SOA related),I am getting below error:

I saw setDomainEnv.cmd file and all other files.I did not change anything recently. But I am nit getting any idea why that exception is coming.
PLease give me guidance for this.

    Hi,
Is the message "The system cannot find the path specified." reported as a direct response on the "C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\mdm_soadomain\bin>startWebLogic" command, by Windows? Or do you see that this command really is executing but is the message reported later in the logs? Is it also reported on the command window output?
From your questioning I take it that the command initially really is executing and that the path not found message is reported later in the process. In that case it you should debug the start process. My method in these cases is adding recognizable echo statements in the weblogic start scripts. Firstly to see how far the process comes, which statements are executed. Basically to narrow down at what specific statement/command the scripts fails.
Secondly to echo the specific environment variables used. These things don't happen "magically" somehow, somewhere, something is changed. Although you might not find out when it was and who was responsible.
What might help is to know that the startWeblogic script is calling the setDomainEnv script in the same folder and also does a call to a weblogic settings script in the weblogic binaries folder from the weblogic home. (I don't know the scripts name by heart and I haven't have a VM started with a WLS env right now.
Then after these two scripts and doing some Environment variable checking to build up the arguments (java vendor, memory-args, etc.) for the java-process, it in the end calls the java-process from the choosen JVM-home. So it might be interesting to look up the place where it actually calls java. And right before that put echo's to display the JAVA_HOME and the complete java-command that it plans to execute. It might be that you installed another JVM/JDK, maybe you updated the default JVM on windows? And that it just can't find the correct JVM.
In setDomainEnv you can set up the paths to the different JVM's. Using the JAVA_VENDOR environment variable you can switch between them.
For instance, if you want to use JRockit, look voor the BEA_JAVA_HOME. The variable for Sun Hotspot should be around there as well. Validate those.
    Hope this helps.

    Martien

  • Weblogic server not starting in multiple version Environment of JDeveloper

    Hi,
I first installed Jdev 11.1.1.1 version (now working fine ) and then Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3(problematic now) keeping Jdev 11.1.1.1 aside..in windows xp Operating system.
I created Middleware Home for Jdev 11.1.1.1 ----> D:/Oracle/Middleware1 and for 11.1.1.3 ------> D:/Oracle/Middleware2. There is also a folder structure C:/Oracle/Middleware containing some files in C: drive.
On starting weblogic server in 11.1.1.3 ,it shows the following error. The Class path for weblogic server should be start with D: drive and not C: drive.
Please tell me how to change the class path to refer the correct weblogic server.
    Additional Detail:
The Environmental variable named CLASSPATH has value "D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\jdk\bin;D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\ant\bin;C:\Oracle11gDB\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin;c:\windows\system32;D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\MOBILE\sdk\bin"

    Hi,
    This is your issue.
    Starting WLS with line:
    C:\PROGRA~1\Java\JDK16~1.0_2\bin\java -client
it is looking for client folder under your JDK but mostly it will have server folder.
remove -client and provide -server in your startup script like setDomainEnv.cmd file and restart the server again.
    Regards,
    Kal

  • When was weblogic server 4.5, 4.0, 6.0 retired?

I couldn't find the product retirement announcement on the BEA web site.
I am trying to find out when were weblogic server 4.5, 4.0, 6.0 retired?
And is 7.0 becoming Mature soon?
    thanks!

6.0 was retired in April 2003 I believe, but I cannot tell you about the
    rest.
And 7.0 will probably retire after 6.1 which is still active so at least
another year or so... only the BEA guys can answer that.

    regards,

I am having the same issues as koloo, I am willing to provide any other debugging information that you may need.
    I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, 8gigs
Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 the studio edition with embedded jdk
I can start the integrated appserver outside of jdev using the cmd script that is supplied but it fails to run if I kick it off from inside of jdeveloper.
    Thanks

    AND fu.user_id = furg.user_id
    AND furg.responsibility_id = fr.RESPONSIBILITY_ID
    AND frt.responsibility_id = fr.RESPONSIBILITY_ID
    ORDER BY 1
