Find out the devices of an ASM Diskgroup in Oracle Linux

Hi
I want to drop an ASM Diskgroup and I want to find out what are the devices attached to that Disk group that I am going to drop.
I am in RAC 10.2.0.4 on Oracle Linux
When I query with this:
SELECT name, header_status, path FROM V$ASM_DISK;
The column path says:
ORCL:FRA1
ORCL:FRA2
but really what I want to know what is the real device in the OS that represent that ASM Disk.
How can i find out the name of my real devices ?
Thanks

I thought you were supposed to run this query when connected to the ASM instance, not the regular instance. But I tried it here and it works fine with my regular instances:
SQL> SELECT name, header_status, path FROM V$ASM_DISK;
NAME                           HEADER_STATUS PATH
ASMDG01_0005                   MEMBER        /dev/raw/raw6
ASMDG01_0004                   MEMBER        /dev/raw/raw5

Hi, my ipad got stolen and i was wondering if there is anyway of finding out the serial number remotely from another apple device?

If it iwas registered to your account then you should be able to get it from your support profile : https://supportprofile.apple.com/
If not then do you have a backup of the iPad on your computer's iTunes ? If you do then in iTunes go into Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences if using a Mac) and on the Devices tab on that hover your mouse pointer over the iPad's backup : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061

How do I find out the registered owner of the device that made the last purchase to my appleID account?  I think my son is using someone else's device.

You can't see what device or computer a purchase was made on. If the device has used iTunes Match, automatic downloads or redownloaded past purchases then it might be shown in the 'manage devices' list on your account (but that only lists computers/devices, it doesn't show when/what each has purchased) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

  • How do i find out what devices are authorised on my apple ID?

I have just bought a new iMac and want to get all my itunes library etc on it.  However, apparently i have reached my limit of 5 authorisations, which is entirely possible as I have had a number of iphones, Macair and ipads, some of which I either no longer own or are no longer functioning.  How do I find out what devices are authorised and then deauthorise any that I don't use any more - given that they may not even work!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't de-authorise just the computers you no longer have access to.
Your only option is to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise those you wish to be authorised. You can do this by logging into your account settings in iTunes on your computer (Store > View My ID) and selecting the option to de-authorise all.
Please note however, you are only permitted to do this once in each 12 month period, therefore you would be better de-authorising your computers before you lose access to them. you can do this from the 'Store' menu in iTunes.

We have several apple devices in our family who use my debit card for itune charges.  I need to find out which device (itune account) these charges are coming from. Can you help?

You can't tell which device a purhcase was made on, but if your family members each have their own iTunes account to which your card is linked then you can check the purchase history on each of those accounts via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes - that should have 'purchase history' section with a 'see all' link to the right of it

I forget to mention that it is a USB wifi dongle (Tplink TL-WN722N). And I'm also running within virtualbox - I hope that does not complicate matters?
Probably. You'll need to make sure that VB guest can see your USB ports. You'll need the VB wiki pages for that though.
I don't use it, so can't help, sorry.

  • How can I find out the audio sampling rate of BetacamSP tape?

    Hi guys
I'm trying to digitize BetacamSP tape. But I'm afraid if I might choose wrong setting...
This tape is from very long time ago so we don't know which audio sampling rate we recorded with..
How can I find out the audio sampling rate of this BetacamSP tape?
    Thanks:)

The sampling rate is set by the Sony DVMCDA2 you are using, when the conversion is made from the analog input to the digital (DV) output. You should be outputting standard DV which is 16bit 48khz audio.
Assuming you are in the US, your Easy Setup for FCP should be DV-NTSC, and then open the Log and Capture Pane and set the Capture Settings Device Control to Non-Controlable Device and you should be good to go.
You will have to roll the deck manually and start and end your capture manually.
You can download a user manual for the DVMCDA2 by clicking here.

  • How can i find out the resolution and accuracy of PXI-6602 module?

I have a 32 bit  8 channel PXI-6602 counter module.  PXI card is interfaced to PC with MXI-4 link. How can i find out the resolution and accuracy of this system. What is the maximum accuracy and resolution i will get from this system. Because optical signal to cmos conversion signal is given as a input to the counter.

    Hi chandhu,
Were you referring to the accuracy of the count register or the timing clock?
PXI-6602 specifications can be found in the NI 660x Specifications.  The resolution of the count register is, as you’ve noted, 32 bits.  This corresponds to a maximum count value of 4,294,967,295.  As long as all of the edges are in accordance with TTL specifications, the accuracy of the count register is 100%.
On the other hand, the PXI-6602 baseclock accuracy takes on the baseclock accuracy of the PXI CLK 10 signal.  Again, this is all found in the specifications.
You may also want to check out the NI 660x User Manual – it contains a lot of details on the operation of these counter/timer devices.
I hope this helps.  Please post back if you have further questions.

  • HT204088 how to I find out the most recent deductions to my account from the app store (say, for a recent download for additional functionality on a iPad game)

How to I find out the most recent deductions to my account from the app store (say, for a recent download for additional functionality on a iPad game). Much as I try, I can't seem to get to see my account in enough detail to see what I have spent downloading apps to the ipad.

You need to punch in the passcode for any purchase right, not just for new apps??
If one of the other students, or anyone else, got access to your iTunes Store account, necessary to make any purchases, then they'd have all the information they'd need to also make in-app purchases. But an in-app purchase can only be made through the account through which the original app was purchased. Either your son bought the game (free or paid) and then shared it with someone else along with the account information (necessary to authorize the app on someone else's device), or someone else downloaded the game as well, not just made in-app purchases.
In any case, changing your iTunes Store password should now have cut off any such unauthorized activity, though of course if your son gives the new password out, you'll be back to square one.
    Regards.
