Find Process Instance Key

While raising a revoke request, I need to find out the process instance(created during provisioning) on which it is acting upon. Which DB table/sql query will I get it from?

Hi,
String processInstKey = "";
tcResultSet usrRS = null;
usrRS = userOperationsIntf.getObjects(userKey);
int noProvisionedObjects = usrRS.getRowCount();
for (int j = 0; j < noProvisionedObjects; j++) {
usrRS.goToRow(j);
String objectName = usrRS.getStringValue("Objects.Name");
if (resourceObjectName.equalsIgnoreCase(objectName)) {
processInstKey = usrRS.getStringValue("Process Instance.Key");
break;
thanks S,

  • How to find AD provisioning process instance key

    Hi,
    I have provisioned some user to AD now i wanted to add same ursers to some other AD group for this i need to know what is an API which will give me process instance key of AD so that i can add AD group to AD child table.

    It takes process instance key as argument. You can get this from adapter as argument in your java code.
    With the form name it is difficult you can get it either by process instance key or by object instance key based on your use case.
    searchMap.put("Objects.Name", "AD User");
    objresultSet = moObjectUtility.findObjects(searchMap);
    long ObjectKey = objresultSet.getLongValue("Objects.Key");
    objectMap.put("Objects.Object Status.Status", "Provisioned");
    objectSet =(ObjectKey, objectMap);
    String processInstanceKey = objectSet.getStringValue("Process Instance.Key");

    More or less you can use the following:
    resultGetObjects = userOperationsIntf.getObjects(plUserKey);
                int countResultGetObjects = resultGetObjects.getRowCount();
                logger.debug("CommonProvisioning.updateProcessForm Object Count = " + countResultGetObjects);
                for (int j = countResultGetObjects; --j >= 0;) {
                    resultGetObjects.goToRow(j);
                    String objName = resultGetObjects.getStringValue("Objects.Name");
                    String status = resultGetObjects .getStringValue("Objects.Object Status.Status");
                    if (resourceObjName.equalsIgnoreCase(objName) && "Provisioned".equalsIgnoreCase(status)) {
                        prntPrvsndPrsInsKey = resultGetObjects .getLongValue("Process Instance.Key");
                         break;
                }HTH,

  • How to get the process instance key so as to retry a rejected task through api while ad provisoing?

    Hi All,
    How to get the process instance key so as to retry a rejected task through API while AD provisioing state?
    API URL - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/apirefs.1112/e28159/toc.htm
    Thanks

    To retry a task that is in a rejected state, you use the SCH_KEY which is the task key.  In OIM, all rejected tasks are listed in the OTI table.  It contains all the important information about a rejected or pending task.
    You can use the APIs found in the tcProvisioningOperationsIntf class to retrieve open tasks.

  • How to find Object Instance.Key

    Hi all, I have a problem. I have a workflow as: I am as being an administrator, request for a resource for a user. And then an approver approves it. But before he approves I want to see the object form prepopulated with target user's information. So that I wrote i java class and attah as process task adapter to update task of approval process of the resource. In code I will set the form values using setObjectFormData(long plObjectInstanceKey, java.util.Map phAttributeList) function of tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf. But ı don't know how to get plObjectInstancekey which is "Object Instance.Key". I tried to use getAssociatedUsers operation but it does not work since my resource is not provisioned to user yet. Any idea?

    It's immediately available when you go to map the values on your adapter. It should be under Object Data and the available values from there.

    Process instance with key '0' does not exist
    Such issue typically appears when the Provisioning is initiated without "Auto Save" i.e. before ORC_KEY entry goes in the OIU table...
    Second possibility can be that the mandatory attributes in the process form are not populated..
    Third possibility can be that the Status is Waiting... And Resource is dependent on another Resource...
    Are you able to Direct Provision the account? I mean without raising Request Based provisioning?
    Please give us following details:
    (1) Resource Profile:-status of Auto Save
    (2) Approval Process:- status of Auto Save and Auto Pre-Pop
    (3) Prov Process:-status of Auto Save and Auto Pre-Pop.
    (4) Is the object form properly populated?
    (5) Is the Process form properly populated?
    (6) Any Exception occurred during Approval process?
    (6) In the OIM Database, fire the following query:-
    SELECT OIU.ORC_KEY
    FROM OIU, USR, OBI
    WHERE OIU.USR_KEY=USR.USR_KEY
    AND UPPER(USR.USR_LOGIN)=UPPER('ABCDEFGH_USER')
    AND OBI.OBI_KEY=OIU.OBI_KEY
    AND OBI.OBI_KEY IN (SELECT OBI.OBI_KEY FROM OBI,OBJ WHERE OBI.OBJ_KEY=OBJ.OBJ_KEY AND
    UPPER(OBJ.OBJ_NAME)=UPPER('AD USER'))
    This will show whether any proper ORC_KEY was generated for this resource instance..

  • GP SP6: Find completion date of a process instance

    Hi all,
       We are using GP SP6. We want to find out the actual completion date of a particular process instance. Something like <i>getActualEndDate()</i> that's available in SP7.
       Is there a way to do this?
    Regards,
    Satyajit.

    Hi Satyajit,
    You can implement it in the following way:
    <code>
    InitialContext context = new InitialContext() ;
    IReportingFactory reportingFactory = (IReportingFactory)context.lookup("/sap.com/com.sap.nw.eu.gp/ReportingFactory") ;
    IBlockReporting reporting = reportingFactory.getBlockReporting(processId, processId, currentUser);
    java.util.Date actualEndDate = reporting.getActualEndDate() ;
    </code>
    If process is running or active the end date is null.
    As I remember it works correctly for completed processes. For cancelled processes it return null too.

  • Finding PeopleSoft Process Instance using Oracle session info

    Hi:
    I'm on Oracle 10.2.0.3 and PeopleSoft Financials 8.9.
    Does anybody know how to get PeopleSoft Process Instance using v$session, v$process and other info?
    TIA.

    Hey Sybrand,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I am actually a dba trying to help PeopleSoft developers. The question is on the edge between Oracle & PeopleSoft. And yes, I took a close look at v$session. It shows Oracle Session info while Process Instance is a PeopleSoft identifier sitting in PSPRCSRQST table. I intuitively feel that there should be a database-level connection between the two.
    All ideas appreciated.
    I hope they will show PI in v$session in subsequent versions of Oracle...

  • BPM11g How to customize the title column of a BPM process instance?

    Hi, everyone.
    In the process track panel of Workspace there is a table with process instances in it.
    Users shall look into this panel and find information about their processes.
    One of the columns of this table is named "title" and the content of this column is like "instance #" + process instance number + process type name.
    This title is of little use to end users while they are trying to find a certain business process.
    I want to customize this column so I can put some key business word in the content but I do not know how.
    Anyone can help? Thank you.
    Edited by: Matt Wang on Apr 19, 2011 10:32 PM

    Hi Matt
    1. For Flex Fields, please see the below link. Basically you login into bpm/workspace as Adminstrator and then you can do this.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklist.htm#CHDFDHGD (Latest version 11.1.1.4)
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklist.htm#CHDFDHGD (Older version 11.1.1.1)
    2. As admin user only you can create a new custom view, by clicking + icon on left side. For this new View, you can define the name, columns you want to show in this new view, any particular sort order etc etc. Then you can set some privleges also for this new View. After this, this View should now be visible for all the normal regular uses (non admin user). I guess there may be a way to make these custom views as the default views also for a specific user or role. I have not explored this though.
    In the above links see the section: Section 30.3, "Customizing the Task List Page"
    3. In EM Console, we may not be able to do any customizations. But if your intention is to search for list of tasks with specific criteria, in EM console itself for your process, on right side, there should be a tab like Intances. There you can specify your search criteria and Search. I am not aware of how to show the data in the Name column for the instances listed.
    Thanks

    Hi Matt
    Till you get exact answer, try indirect approach. I did view page source and could not find the details in the source code. Then I clicked on image to show in new browser and thats when I got this link: You can dig into this imageRenderer.jsp file that can be found in one of the WAR files shown below. Look into EARs also that my have WARs with this jsp. Mostly there should be some sort of Servlet also to display the audit trail. I just checked from bpm/workspace Process Tracking Tab. I did not looked from EM Console tracking tabs though.
    beaHome\Oracle_SOA1\soa\applications\OracleBPMWorkspace.ear has a OracleBPMWorkspace.war file. See if this direction helps

  • How to find bpel instance in 11g based on the index values using Java APIs

    Hi ,
    In SOA10G we had option to find the instances based on the index value using Java APIs like below.
    WhereCondition criteria= new WhereCondition(SQLDefs.CX_index_1 + " = ?");
    criteria.setString(1, "indexValue");
    Locator mLoc = getLocator();
    IInstanceHandle[] foundInstances = mLoc.listInstancesByIndex(criteria);
    Please tell me how to achieve the same functionality in SOA 11G using Java APIs
    Regards,
    Saba

    I have multiple bpel in my composite. I checked in ci_indexes table and it shows the instance number of the bpel process. But the em console is showing only the composite instance number. when I opened composite instance, I could see all the bpel process with instance number in the audit trail. How can I find the the actual composite instance number that I should search for in the em console ???

  • BPEL process instances remain in-flight

    Hi
    I've got a BPEL process (GetUpdates) that calls a couple of other asynchronous BPEL processes (CommitPerson, CommitAddress etc) all of which are deployed on the same SOA server.
    Although most of the processes complete, quite a few instances of the GetUpdates process just sit in an Active state. The BPEL console shows GetUpdates has made a call to another process (for example CommitAddress) and it is apparently waiting for a response. However when I examine the cube_instance table in the dehydration store I can only find 1 instance relating to the particular process. Is that correct?
    If I then try to re-run these particular failed updates (by modifying the sequencing table that GetUpdates polls) the processes complete without any issue (and records exist in the cube_instance table for each of the processes that have been called as well).
    There can be a large number of requests being processed so could this problem be due to the server being under too much load, with the invoke being lost in the ether somewhere?!?
    Is there any documentation that explains the workings of the dehydration store or the BPEL server itself? Also what log files I should be looking at? (I'd really like to understand what's happening under the covers!!!)
    We're currently only using 10.1.3.1 SOA Suite so we should probably upgrade to 10.1.3.3 to see if that fixes anything.
    Any help or advice in the meantime would be great.
    Thanks
    Robin

    Hi
    Just thought I'd update this posting with my findings ....
    I think that the reason the instances remained inflight was simply because they were making calls to synchronous processes that were timing out.
    The default timeout setting for synchronous processes is from what I've read 45 seconds. The process instances that remained inflight were calling other (asynchronous) BPEL processes, that in turn called synchronous E-Business suite APIs that were timing out.
    I managed to simulate the above some time ago with dummy BPEL processes, however I have only just now (after several months of dealing with Oracle Support!) managed to resolve the E-Business suite problem that was causing the synchronous process to timeout.
    Anyway now that is resolved, we no longer get the large number of process instances remaining inflight ... and the updates are now flying along on the server!!
    Therefore the issue was a very simple one - timeout of synchronous processes. Unfortunately it wasn't all that obvious that it was happening in the first place(!) ... and it took some time to trace the actual culprit ... and even longer to find a solution (which we had to come up with ourselves ... without much help from support!) ... hence the amount of time that has passed from me creating this message and replying to it!
    Anyway I hope this post may help others in case they stumble upon a similar issue.
