Find the needle in the css (part 3)

i'm trying to figure out how to make the search box on the
below reference page narrower so that it doesn't cause the submit
button to go to the next line (wouldn't mind making the button a
little narrower too). i've installed the web developer thing into
firefox, found what i think is the style in question, but the
changes that i've been making don't seem to be doing anything.
here's the page:
http://www.thingsyoungerthanmccain.com/
here's the css:
http://www.thingsyoungerthanmccain.com/wp-content/themes/minima-black-for-wordpress-115/st yle.css
thanks.

That won't be enough as there is a BR between the two
elements.
Between your change above and the following rule, things
should work
#searchform br {display:none;float:left;}
(if i recall there is a browser out there that needs "float"
as display:none
won't work).

  • How do I find the Marketing Part Number for iLife '11 so I can register the product

I want to register my iLife '11 but I can't find the Marketing Part Number as I only have the disk.  How can I find this number so I can reqister my copy?
    Thanks

You don't need to register iLife.  Registeing iLife would get your just emails from Apple regarding their products.  It's not needed.  Anyway, the iLife 11 boxed disc is now a discontinued and unsupported product.

  • I need a good FINDER (CTRL+F) add on. For some reason mine is not finding the .css coding on the template when trying to edit it. Anyone know whats going on ?

i am trying to EDIT a .css file on a website. Its a template from the website ( highwire.com ) When i am trying to find certain color codes #FFFFFF for example my finder (CTRL+F) wont find it but when i scroll down i see that there is some on the .css file. anyone know a good add on to actually find my coding when typed in.. I need to change alot of the colors from green to yellow and oranges to blue. The .css is over 1700 lines of coding.. just need some quick find and replace addon.

You seem to have a lot of #fff codes in the CSS files that obviously aren't found with the long #ffffff search term (#fff finds them)
Make sure that the match case box isn't selected on the Find bar (Ctrl+F)

We were selling used ones for around $45.
And we do not have any more listed on Ebay.

  • Where can I find the CSS Designer panel

    Been watching this video:
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/creative-cloud-for-web/adobe-dreamweaver-cc-overview/
If you go to around 23 seconds, you will notice the 'Biggest update' 'CSS Designer Panel'
I notice he is changing rounded corners on the fly.
Where is this in Dreamweaver CS6?
I can only see the transitions panel.
    Am I missing something?

Your workspace might be different than mine.
But the CSS Styles Panel is usually on the right.  See screenshot.

  • Rant: Anyone else find the Lenovo parts site offensively difficult to use and useless?

I just tried to find a part on the Lenovo website, and found it to be just about as bad an on-line experience as one could imagine.  Without a doubt, the worst example of e-commerce I have ever experienced.  My situation: I know what FRU I need. So first, the site makes it impossible to look up directly. Why?  Why, if I know a part number, does Lenovo make it hard to buy that part directly?
Ok, you play the cares your dealth.  So I played by their rules.  I tried to look up my model as requested.  First, I filled out the asked-for model number (on http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:show-categor... But entering the number doesn't do anything!   Hmmm.  There is also a spot for me to "select my product".  This is  a pull-down list with 100s of items long - literally every Lenovo products ever - that is NOT ORGANIZED IN ANY WAY.  Are these people crazy?  Do they value my time so little, or customer satisfaction so little, that they don't care if their site wastes my time and I can't get the product I need?  Then more fun.  After putting in my model number and actually finding "W530" in a random list of dozens of thinkpad laptops, the site threw an error.  It explained to me that I must have entered a number wrong.  I've managed SW products, and this is unacceptable.  The customer should never, ever, be allowed to enter anything close to something that is not recognized.
I've gotten good service when I 've called in.  But based on this site alone, I'd never buy another Lenovo product again.  And I'd recommend the same to others.  I'm going on a rant to several forums about this, as well.  Seriously, the worst website I've ever used is ... from a computer company?  Really?  A parts site, which you may be calling under extreme stress, does nothing but add more stress and frustration?
The W530 may be my last Lenovo.  Which bums me out: I love the machine.
Smart people will recognize that i wrote this to vent, yes, but also to suggest to Lenovo that they have a significant opportunity for improving a competitive disadvantage and making it an advantage.

    Good day.

    Hi kamlesh ,
If you intend to see the BOM components ( sub materials )for the main material in MD04 then -
    - In MD04 screen , goto to "<b>Environment</b>" in top menubar and select option "<b>Product Structure</b>"
    - In the next displayed screen you can expand the available BOMs to view the components details.

  • What is the motherboard part number for DV3-2232TX (VZ462PA)?

My DV3-2232TX is not booting - and only flashing the Scroll and Caps Lock lights 4 times in a cycle.
From searching, this means the graphics card is broken, but it also seems it's built into the motherboard on this model.
It's out of warranty so I would rather just try and repair it myself with a replacement part, as I suspect any HP repairer will charge like a wounded bull for the service.
I can't, however, find the correct part number to order it!

    Hello,
    Part number 614-0305-A
    Hope this helps.

    Good question.
    That I don't have a definite 100% answer to.
It probably is OK. Wattage is what it is rated at. More wattage is probably a good thing, and I have read that = or - .5v is not supposed to be an issue.
You can do a google search of the part number for your power adapter and see if they still carry it, if you are concerned.
