Finder's version number "10.4.2" under OSX 10.4.3

I decided to hit "About Finder" and I got version 10.4.2 even though the OS version is currently 10.4.3. Is everybody else getting this? Is it normal for the developers to not do anything with Finder for some updates?

I also get the same finder version number.

  • Unable to find WRT54G Version Number

    Hi all,
    I want to update my WRT54G firmware and I went to the Linksys site and follow the appropriate instructions to get to the WRT54G firmware download site. They ask for a version number, and they specify where I can find this on router. But the problem is there is no version number on my router where linksys says there is.
    I am not sure what to do. Is there another way to find the version number? Does no version number mean it's a specify version like 1?
    Any help would be good.
    Thanks,

    Look at the first four characters of the serial number and compare to this link...
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRT54G#Known_issues
    but it usually does mean version 1.

    Linksys WRT54G v2 (Firmware Version: v2.04.4)

  • Where do I find the version number of the latest version of Firefox before downloading?

    I must request permission to download Firefox at work and IT needs version number before granting permission. Texas regulatory agencies use Firefox and work only allows microsoft internet explorer. To use the agencies models and reports I need Firefox. The website for downloading does not list the version number. Where do I find the version number of the latest version of Firefox before downloading?

    You can find the latest Firefox 20.0.x release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:
    *http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    If you hover a download link the you should see the Firefox version in the pop-up at the bottom of the screen.

  • How to find out the number of threads created under java vm at runtime

    our application seems to have hit the max number of threads that can be created under vm and the vm will just hang after that. that behavior seems to be consistent from an article that I read earlier.
    I wonder any way that java app can find out the number of threads currently created under vm?
    thanks in advance!

    If you are not starting an extra thread group you can use the Thread.activeCount method. But this willnot return all the threads, as there are some jvm threads, i.e. garbage collector. Also if you are running on a Unix type operating system then you can send a signal to the jvm to give you a thread dump, i think the signal is sighup.
    If the application is hanging i would of thought that you have a deadlock situation rather then the JVM not being able to create new threads, roughly how many threads should be running ??

  • Find app version number

    How do I find the version numbers for all of the installed apps on my ipad air?
                thanks

    Unfortunately, when using App Store > Purchased,  if an update is available, it is the version of the update that is displayed, not the installed version.
    robdrage's solution does indeed display the installed version: "Settings>General>Usage" then select each app.

  • CC apps version numbers? Can't find current version number of apps in Download Center

    Is there a way to see the current version numbers of the different apps on the Adobe website, or in CC Download Center? All I see is that they are version CC.
    Well, that doesn't tell me much...is it After Effects 12.0, 12.1? Photoshop 14.0, 14.1, 14.1.2? I can't tell which is the most current from your website. The CC app isn't any better as I can't trust what it says. I have apps installed, but it doesn't recognize them – It's shows that I need to install them. Is that because I need to update it? It doesn't show as an update, only that I need to install it.
    If I could tell from your website (Download Center) what the current release version of the software is, I could at least compare it to the version I have installed on my machine.

    Hello there, carlafromswisher.
    One thing that could be playing a roll in your issue might be the Country your App Store is set to. In this case, the apps may be available in the French store, and not the US store. The following Knowledge Base article offers up how to change the country of your Store:
    Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6119
    Change your country on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    Tap iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store.
    At the bottom of the Featured page, tap Sign In.
    If you're already signed in, skip to step 5.
    Tap Use Existing Apple ID.
    Enter your Apple ID and password and tap OK.
    Tap your Apple ID.
    Tap View Apple ID or View Account.
    Tap Country/Region.
    Tap Change Country or Region.
    Tap the Store menu and tap your country.
    Tap Next.
    Review the Terms and Conditions and Apple Privacy Policy.
    Tap Agree if you agree to the terms and conditions.
    In the prompt that appears, tap Agree.
    Select a payment method and enter your payment information.
    Enter your billing address and tap Next.

  • How to find the version number of Java compiler used

    Is there a simple programatical way to extract what version of Java compiler was used to create a certain class file (the byte code) from within the program?
    Actually, by checking the file is ok too.

    Thanks for the program. I've run it and I got 1.4.2as
    an output.
    Can I assume I'me using SDK 1.4.2 through netBeansIDE
    3.5.1 (which it came with bundled)?if you would remove J2SDK 1.4.0, then you could be
    sure that your netbeans is NOT using it anymore...
    howevere, you could also set some settings inside
    netbean, and voila... you could set it to use
    whichever sdk version you want...
    but if you are not sure which one of these it
    currently uses, then i assume that it is sdk 1.4.0,
    because i have no reason to believe othervise.This is from my old AUTOEXEC.BAT:
    SET CLASSPATH=.
    SET PATH=C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\bin
    I installed netBeans IDE 3.5.1 a few weeks ago, but did not change my AUTOEXEC.BAT file for a while.
    Then I changed AUTOEXEC file to the following:
    SET CLASSPATH=.
    SET PATH=C:\Program Files\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2\bin
    IDE kept working, but DOS stopped recognizing javac command.
    After getting suggestions from some people here, I changed the AUTOEXEC to:
    SET CLASSPATH=.
    SET PATH=C:\Progra~1\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2\bin
    IDE still works, and I can compile from DOS now.
    SDK 1.4.2 must have been installed (or at least unpacked) by IDE 3.5.1.
    Does anybody know how to change settings on IDE 3.5.1 to make it use whichever SDK I want to try?

  • How to find Spry Version Number?

    Thanks

    JRStaf4ord wrote:
    > Thanks
    Depends, are you asking what is the latest version of Spry
    that is available? If so, then the answer is Spry 1.6.1 is the
    latest version, and is available from the Spry home page:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/home.html
    Or are you asking how to tell the Spry version from a
    particular Spry asset file? If so, then when you open a Spry .js or
    .css file, the version is listed at the top of the file as in:
    /* SpryAccordion.css - version 0.4 - Spry Pre-Release 1.6.1
    0.4 is the version of the specific file you're looking at and
    1.6.1 is the version of Spry the file is associated with.
    Dreamweaver CS4 shipped with Spry 1.6.1, and CS3 shipped with
    I believe Spry 1.4, but you can update the Spry version using the
    DW Spry updater (linked to from the Spry home page):
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs_spry
    FYI: Spry questions are best asked in the Spry forum:

  • Can't Find Version Number on WRT 54GX2 -there's no ver. no. on it

    I can't find a "version number" anywhere on the unit. In order to update the firmware, the website calls for specifying whether it's version 1 or version 2. I'm presuming that because it doesn't say what version it is, it must be version 1, but I don't know and I don't know what would happen if I used the wrong firmware.
    Can anyone tell me authoritatively whether the absence of a version number on the plate means it's version 1?
    Thanks!
    MARK

    If your router does not have a version number on it, you cannot assume that it must be version 1.
    Call Linksys.  Using the serial number on the router, they will be able to tell you what version of the router you have.

  • A command for finding an application's version number?

    Hello,
    I need a command for finding the version number of a specific application installed in OS X, and I need to be able to run it via the UNIX feature of Apple Remote Desktop, so that I can run it on hundreds of computers. First I tried this:
    system_profiler -detailLevel full
    It works, but it takes a long time to produce the output, because it's gathering and outputting all of the information that System Profiler provides. I don't know if there's a way to narrow it down so that it only gives me the version number of the specific application I need to know about. This is an example of what the output looks like for each application listed.
        iPhoto:
          Version: 9.2.1
          Last Modified: 10/27/11 10:05 AM
          Kind: Intel
          64-Bit (Intel): No
          App Store: No
          Location: /Applications/iPhoto.app
    Copying that to TextEdit and searching for the application's name takes way too long, especially for hundreds of computers. Are there any arguments or regular expressions I could add to the command to narrow it down, and make it only output the information I need?
    Someone suggested this command, which takes the information from Spotlight:
    mdls -name kMDItemVersion <path to file>
    That works for apps in the Applications folder, but the application I need the version number for is in the /usr/bin folder and I'm guessing that's not indexed by Spotlight, because it returns:
    kMDItemVersion = (null)
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    -Mike

    You rock! I'm definitely on the right track now. Yes, it's a regular application package, not a UNIX executable. Ok, so I use this command to display the Info.plist file inside that package:
    cat /usr/bin/uc/UndercoverRegistration.app/Contents/Info.plist
    And it outputs this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
        <key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key>
        <string>English</string>
        <key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
        <string>UndercoverRegistration</string>
        <key>CFBundleIconFile</key>
        <string>Undercover</string>
        <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
        <string>com.orbicule.UndercoverRegistration</string>
        <key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key>
        <string>6.0</string>
        <key>CFBundlePackageType</key>
        <string>APPL</string>
        <key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>
        <string>4.5</string>
        <key>CFBundleSignature</key>
        <string>????</string>
        <key>CFBundleVersion</key>
        <string>4.5</string>
        <key>NSMainNibFile</key>
        <string>MainMenu</string>
        <key>NSPrincipalClass</key>
        <string>NSApplication</string>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    So can I add arguments to that command to have it only display the version number, which is on line 18 (the value is 4.5 here)? So would I be able to display only line 18, or display whatever is below the line that reads "<key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>"? Thanks!

  • OID 10gR3 full version number and compatibility

    I am a bit confused about the OID version and compatibility. Can anyone help?
    Siteminder r12 is compatible with OID 10gR3 as per Siteminder compatibility matrix.
    When I try to find OID version number and in turn its compatibility with Operating system and database, I am finding it hard to understand which version I should be looking for when I want to use OID 10gR3 (e.g. is it 10.1.4.0.1 or 10.1.4.1 or 10.1.4.2 etc)
    There is no clear documentation providing this information. From one of the documents (www.oracle.com/technology/.../internet_directory_wp_10gr3.pdf) it seems it is 10.1.4.2
    However when I goto download site it only has 10.1.4.0.1.
    Also, as per certification matrix of OID 10.1.4 it says it is compatible with OEL5, whereas after downloading 10.1.4.0.1 it fails to install complaining that it needs Red Hat Linux 3 or 4.
    Need you help to understand this.
    Thanks,

    The Base line version is 10.1.4.1.0, all others are patches. The latest being 10.1.4.3.0, which can be downloaded via MOS (formerly known as Metalink).
    10G release 3 is marketing speak; 10.1.4.1 thru 10.1.4.3 are all 10G Release 3 (but different patchlevels. Guess you can speak of OID 10G release 3 patch 2, when you mean OID V10.1.4.3.0 - technicians tend to use versions).

  • Tracking down the version number

    I have a C/C++ program which is a Firefox plugin. I'm trying to find the version number resource.
    In my plist I have: Bundle versions string, short set to 5.09b and bundle version to 1.0
    In my .rsrc file (yes, I'm still using rsrc files, it's not my fault.) my vers resource has a short string of 4.70
    When I compile, the version on the .app file is 5.09b
    When I run the program, I do:
    CFBundleRef myAppsBundle = CFBundleGetMainBundle();
    bundleVersion = (CFStringRef) CFBundleGetValueForInfoDictionaryKey(myAppsBundle, CFSTR("CFBundleShortVersionString"));
    CFStringGetCString(bundleVersion, verString, sizeof(verString), kCFStringEncodingMacRoman);
    printf("bundleversion is %s
    ", verString);
    and it gives me 3.5.6. previously, it was giving me 3.5.5.
    I've done a bunch of searches through my code, and can't find "3.5.5" anywhere. And the code above works in other projects.

    Yes I have.
    However, someone else just pointed out that 3.5.5 and 3.5.6 are the most recent versions of FIREFOX! so, I'm getting the info from firefox's bundle, not my own.
    How to get access to my own bundle is probably a topic for another question...
