Finding a table

How can we find a t code (transation code) through a table (eg t code for table 169p)

Hi Srinivas..
i dont think that there is a Transaction Code for a specific Table..
If you need to find a Transaction Code with Text check this Table : TSTCT table.
If you need to find a Transaction by Program , you can go to SE80 ans give the program name and check the Transaction Option on the Left side. You will find the Transaction Code for the specific program.

  • Not able to find aliased tables when supplying username/password

<p>I am able to run my report which contains several aliased tables just fine as long as I have the application (Viewer?) ask for the login credentials for the database. • Crystal Reports Cant Find the table

    Hello ,
I have a problem when i try to preview a report Crystal Reports says that cant find the table , it happend when add a table that in his name has an underscore example "SALES_REP" , im working with CR 2008 and open access ODBC driver.
Can you help me with the problem?
    Thank you
    Manuel

    Hello,
Try installing all CR patches and then test using OLE DB. If not an option we need to know more details of the database and driver/client?
I recall this may be an issue and not sure if it's been patched or not. Try searching here to see if anyone else has had this problem.
    Thank you

  • How do I find what table a field is in?

    Hi,
If I know a field name, how would I search the Data Dictionary to find the table (or tables) that the field is found in?
For example, I have a program spec that that says field AZSUB is in table MARM, but it is not.  How can I find what table this field is actualkly in?
    Thanks for your help!
    Andy

    Hi Andrew,
Just goto se11, enter the data element of that field and clisk on the where used list on the application tool bar. You will get all the tables in which the field appears.
You got find out which would be your appropriate table may be using by the description of the table or the contents or by the links..

  • How do you find a table that doesn't have a specific word in it.

    I have two questions.
    questions 1
How do you find a table that doesn't have a specific word in it by using a query on the whole database?
    questions 2
How would i list all of my cars names in my database not showing duplicates?
I have tried, tried and tried some more to get both of these, but I guess i don't know how to query a specific word.
I also don't know how to query everything in just 1 column name.
If anyone could help with these that would be great I have been trying queries for over an hour now and no luck.
    Thanks

I tried the all_tab_columns, just like you did it, however that just gives me the column name I am looking for what is not in a column.
For example I need to find all the tables where mustang is not = 'red' but using a single query i need to find all of the tables.
    As for number 2
I am looking for something like this
    select distinct column_name
    from all_tab_columns
where column_name ='AcertainColumn';Now I'm even more confused. In your example, is MUSTANG a column name? Or is it the value of a MODEL column in the CARS table? And how could that possibly relate to something that exists in multiple tables?
If your data model is at all reasonable, I would expect that you would just want
    SELECT *
      FROM cars
    WHERE model = 'Mustang'
AND color != 'Red'but I can't see how this would relate to data stored in multiple tables.

    hi
goto tx genil_model_browser. Suppose you want to find fields reated to your order header eg sold to name. In component set write all and press F8. Then goto access object and in access object click on node BTAdminH. Click on attribute structure. Here you will find structure and attributes. If you click relationship then you will see all the relationship wrt btadminh. open any r/s that you require. and click on other object and attribute. You will get to know the structure.

    Hi,
As far as I understand what you are asking for I would suggest 4 data dictionaries that will help you to know the table name from the column names
    1. USER_TAB_COLS
    2. ALL_TAB_COLS
    3. DBA_TAB_COLS
    4. COLS
These can give you detail information about the columns and respective tables at user, schema, dba level. Further information on the table can be found by querying ALL_OBJECTS table giving table_name as Object_name, or you can join the data dictionaries too.
    To know about various data dictionaries avalible in Oracle please query select * from cat;
Let us know if you need further assistance.

  • Question on FIND IN TABLE... REGEX

    Hello,
I am trying to do a FIND IN TABLE itab, where itab is a table of strings. One of the strings is like the following:
    <bi:item name="CHART_ITEM_1" designheight="380" designwidth="730" type="CHART_ITEM">
I'm trying to search for it using a REGEX pattern. So here's how I did it:
CREATE OBJECT text_regex EXPORTING pattern = 'item name*type="CHART_ITEM"'.
So apparently, the above statement does not work, as the results returned is 0.
What gives? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I think your reg. expression is wrong. * does not stand for zero or more characters It is an operator which represents zero or more occurrences of some literal. You need to use literal . which represents any character. So your expression should look like item name.*type="CHART_ITEM".  There is a program DEMO_REGEX_TOY which you can use for reg. expression testing.
    Cheers

  • Find the Table of Content in Pdf

    Hi,
How can i find the Table of Content in a particular PDF?.
    Is this possible in itext?
    Thanks,
    nithi.

When converting a FrameMaker book to PDF, the PDF may include bookmarks for additional paragraph tags (on top of those specified in the book's PDF setup)
The workaround is to specify PDF Setup in the individual file. For example, open your TOC, select Format > Document > PDF Setup, and make sure that the Heading1TOC, Heading2TOC... paragraph tags are not included in the bookmark setup.

  • Finding a TABLE based on a COLUMN NAME...

I need to find all tables that that have a common column name.
Upon searching the Forum, I found this nice nugget:
How to find the table in a schema if I only know a particular column name
The problem is, my USER_TAB_COLUMNS is EMPTY!
If it had worked, then my statement would be:
    select * from USER_TAB_COLUMNS
    where COLUMN_NAME LIKE '%TEST%'
    and OWNER='ME';
I get "no rows selected" (though I know they exist)
    if I do:
    select * from USER_TAB_COLUMNS
I also get "no rows selected"
    Any ideas!
    Thanks!
    KSL.

The user_xxx data dictionary tables show all of the whatevers that are owned by the logged in user. So, if you are logged in as user1 the user_tab_columns view will only show tables and views owned by user1.
The all_xxx dictionary views show all of the whatevers that the logged in user has access to. so if you are logged in as user1 and user2 gave you selet privileges on tablea, then you would see tablea in all_tab_columns.
The dba_xxx views show all objects in the database, but are generally only available to privileged users.
If you have access to the dba_views, try:
    SELECT owner, object_type
    FROM dba_objects
WHERE UPPER(object_name) = 'ANL'It is possible that the table and or its columns were created with double quotes so are case sensitve. It may also be a synonym, pointing to one of the tables that you got form your query.
If you are only using all_tab_columns then it is possible that the user you are logged in as does not have privileges on the table anl so would not see it in the view.
A long shot, but are you sure you are in the right database?
