Finding class inside of the jar file...

Hi,
please could someone explain me, what is the difference between this object mapping...
env->FindClass("com/dir1/dir2/ClassA");
and
env->FindClass("Lcom/dir1/dir2/ClassA;");
because if class 'ClassA' resides inside of the jar file, which is appended to the classpath, Lcom/dir1/dir2/ClassA; don't succed and FindClass returns NULL!!!!
Instead of if i use 'com/dir1/dir2/ClassA' string FindClass method ends with success....
But i don't understand this...i was wondering that all my objects, not default java objects, should be mapped as L<class>;....:-((
Please heellp

I have noticed that a class have several notations which have been brough together of late. Even ObjectOutputStream write both java.lang.String and java/lang/String, arrays appear as [Ljava.lang.String; and the code will decode Ljava.lang.String; correctly even though it will not get generated.
It is possible that this historical discrepencies are more visable at the native level and are yet to be fixed up ????

  • Referencing a jre installation inside of a jar file

    Hi,
I wrote a a small program that executes a JRE.exe installation when executed.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to reference the JRE installation that I've packaged inside of the Jar file.
I know that this must have a simple answer but I haven't been able to find one in the tutorials.
    Any help would be apreciated.

You can't do that. How can expect to execute code in a jar file when the JRE that is needed is IN that jar file? You either have to:
    1) Install the JRE prior to calling your applet or application or
    2) If this is an applet on a webpage, you can run your HTML thru SUN's Htmlconverter which sets up the tags correctly and provides for automatic download of the JRE at runtime.

  • Taglib: class not found in jar-file

    I've got the following problem:
I whant to deploy a taglib to tomcat 5.0.25.
If I point to the jsp which uses the taglib I got the following error:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to read TLD "META-INF/taglib.tld" from JAR file "file:/C:/Programme/Apache Software Foundation/Tomcat 5.0/webapps/taglibtest/WEB-INF/lib/gsa_prod3_db_taglib.jar": org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Failed to load or instantiate TagExtraInfo class: ch.gsa.prodass3.taglib.TagAddAttributeTEI
If I copy the taglib.tld out of the jar-file into WEB-INF and do the mapping in web.xml, I get this error:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Failed to load or instantiate TagExtraInfo class: ch.gsa.prodass3.taglib.TagAddAttributeTEI
    root cause
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ch.gsa.prodass3.taglib.TagAddAttributeTEI
It seems like none of the files in the jar-file could be loaded.
    Has anybody an idea?
    Help would be very appreceated!
    Greetings, Jonas

1 - double check the class is in the jar file, in that path, and is spelt correctly
    2 - restart Tomcat
3 - check the contents of the tld file - particularly the extra-info tag and class name for it.

  • ServiceBus java callout - how to pack the JAR file with libraries?

    Hello
I want to use a Java Callout from a Service Bus flow.
What is the correct way to pack the JAR file with its nessecary libraries?
I tried different methods to pack my JAR, but yet, as though the Java runs perfectly from the Workshop (Eclipse) , when I am trying to use the exported Jar on the ServiceBus flow, it fails with an ClassNotFoundException.
I would really appreciate your advice here.
    Thanks
    Koby

Well.. Looking inside my exported JAR file, I got all of the files there inside, including the jar file containing the library.
What I'm trying to do is run a simple java program that connect through SSH and therefore use an SSH library.
On the workshop I got it as an imported library JAR. And it works perfectly there.
    Any idea?

Open MPlayer OSX and show the playlist (command-shift-p) then drag the file into the playlist. Click the file in the playlist and click the "i"nfo button. What does it list for file, video and audio format?
Not all of the codecs used in avi and wmv files are available for OS X so I'm guessing your file happens to be using one that isn't...

  • How to read, write file inside the JAR file?

    Hi all,
I want to read the file inside the jar file, use following method:
    File file = new File("filename");
It works if not in JAR file, but it doesn't work if it's in a JAR file.
I found someone had the same problem, but no reply.

Can you help me ? I have tried this for all night !
    Thanks in advance
    Leo

If you want to read a file from the JAR file that the
application is packaged in (rather than a separate
external JAR file) you do it like this ...
    InputStream is =
    ClassLoader.getSystemResourceAsStream("filename");Better to use
    this.getClass().getClassLoader().getResourceAsStream();
From a class near to where the data is. This deals with multiple classloaders properly.

    Hi,
Can you check up if this is located in the following path.
    System Administration ->Support->Portal Runtime
    Here navigate to ROOT/WEB-INF/portal/portalapps
Open the folder with the name of the par file and check up if you can locate the jar.

Ques 1- Can I use the wildcard * symbol in Manifest file to add ... other jar files ...?No. You could, however, place all your needed JARs in JavaHome/jre1.x.x/lib/ext - if this is a way for you.

  • Can't able to access the Jar files which is kept inside the folder.

    Hi,
I am using the eclipse IDE, my project folder contains the folders src, bin, .metadata, .settings
if i place the jar file in the same location of the above mentioned folder means i can able to use the Jar file in eclipse(in my project).
But i create one folder in the same location in the name of Jar or anything and all jar files are placed inside the folder, then i can't able to access the jar file in eclipse(in my project).
How i can solve this problem?

    RajivGuna wrote:
..How i can solve this problem?Put Eclipse aside for the moment and learn how the SDK tools work at the level of the command line, then you will be much better placed to figure how to do it in the IDE. If you are still having problems, I suggest you ask on an [Eclipse forum|http://www.eclipse.org/forums/].

  • Where can I find the jar files of the application I have deployed?

If I deploy an J2EE application successfully on NetWeaver, where are the jar files located? How to find them?

    Hi Luc,
APEX does not create physical file that is in APEX_APPLICATION_FILES table.
It can only store the file in BLOB format in repository.
So when we upload file APEX stores file in BLOB column of APEX_APPLICATION_FILES table and then use when needed but no physical file.

  • To add the JNI dll to the jar file and use the dll inside the jar file

    Hi to everybody,
    I am new to java.
I want to add the JNI dll to the jar file and use it in the java class.
    How can I achieve it.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    M.Sivadhas.

can't be done because none of the known operating systems support reading binary libraries from .jar files ... you can add the binary to the jar but then you have to extract it...
besides, mixing platform specific and platfrom independent components is not a very good idea, i'd keep the dll out of the jar to begin with

  • Protecting the jar files from being web access

I have a jnlp file which is put under tomcat webapps folder, say (\webapps\TEST\launch.jnlp), with the jar and lib files put in the subfolder (\webapps\TEST\folder1\*.jar AND \webapps\TEST\folder1\lib\*.jar).
My question is how can i prevent user from direct access to the jar files via typing http://www.someip.com/TEST/folder1/main.jar ? I tried the following methods but it seemed not working:
    1. Change the folder permisson in \webapps\TEST\*.*, but when user type the above hyperlink they can still get the jar file
    2. put the jar and related files under \WEB-INF\, but now this time running the launch.jnlp, it returns an error saying that it can't access/find the WEB-INF.
Is there any method? Or should I say, when you published jnlp to web, the related jar files are forced to be accessed by everyone.

Sounds easy to me: encrypt your xml, then instead of just storing your key as plain bytes do some reversable operations on it (xor masks, reversions, whatever you like), just do them in many different points (and classes) of your code, have some parts done by methods that actually check application is running under JWS with proper codebase, scramble it all, and suddently the whole stealing operation won't be worth the effort. Obviously you should have many private (and package protected) methods, seal packages and so on. Maybe, somehow, you can even use reflection to identify calling classes (not sure, never looked for anything similar).
What else? write down some c++ code into your own dll/JNI library and make it do something too, so they'll even need to decompile the dll. If you know first execution is always online you can send another xor key and store it with persistence service or write it down to windows registry. You can keep making it harder as much as you like, even just with silly code like
Math.ceil((new GregorianCalendar.getField(Calendar.YEAR)%2000)/1000)*((int)('c'-'a'))just to retrieve the number 2. If you distribute such code through many lines and methods, once you scramble it, most people will give up.
    Bye.
