Finding hierarchy use in queries

Hi BWExperts,
We have Four Hiearchies on one Infoobject and the Infoobject is using several Queries.The requirement is, we would like to know which hiearchy is using in which query.Please advice is there any program or backend table exists for this.

Here you go..
1) Go to table RSZCALC and get list of ELTUID where AGGREXC is not INITIAL and AGGRCHA is not initial; now you get only exception aggregation set based on some chars. Also you can further add STEPNR = 1 since your intention is just to get query name , not the calculation details; this will reduce number of entries to lookup and save DB time for next steps.
Here you will get list of exception aggregation UUID numbers from which you can get properties from RSZELTDIR.
2) Pass list of RSZCALC-ELTUID to table RSZELTXREF - TELTUID and get list of RSZELTXREF -SELTUID - this table stores query to it's elements maping kind.
3) Now again pass RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into same table but into different field RSZELTZREF - TELTUID and get RSZELTXREF - SELTUID
This step you get query reference sheet or column or query general UUID for next step.
4) Pass list of RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into RSZELTDIR - ELTUID with DEFTP as 'REP'. Now you get list of query names in RSZELTDIR - MAPNAME and description in TXTLG.
Note: you can also get the reference chars used for exception aggregation from RSZCALC - AGGRCHA field.

How to find out which abap queries were executed by a user

Dear SAP Gurus,
Is there a way to find out which abap queries were executed by an end user in the recent past??
1.I tried using the t-code "stat" BUT:
dont seem to be getting any results even though I put the start time almost 2 months back.
2.Also when using STAT, I give the report name of the query in the program field but it seems to truncate it.
Any ideas how can I find out which abap queries were executed by the end user.

STAT will give you the information for a limited period of time and is limited to the server which you are logged onto yourself. Beyond 24 hours it is of even less use even if you change the selection screen values.
If you want it for a period way back into the past, then you need to use ST03N.
There are at least 2 dependencies and 1 confusion:
1 dependency) The length of period is determined by the size (length) of the file. You can change this in ST03N (default 50MB) via the menu settings.
2 dependency) The stat collector jobs need to be scheduled to write the information to ST03N (once per hour is a legal requirement in some non-banana republic countries).
1 confusion) There is an obscure function which converts a report submit to a transaction name (there is not much difference anyway) and an even more obsure one which filters what ST03N will record and therefore whether you can read it. You can (un)filter these things away if you search the SAP Marketplace for the term "MONI".
What is of particular value from this control is that you can even detect a submission of an abap which only existed temporarily.
Also note that having this information is potentially very powerfull with respect to the users (some of them are human too), so you should expose and use it responsibly.
You should also ensure that only responsible users / auditors have access to S_TOOLS_EX.

I have tried the oprion already..(RSD1 > Type in the name of the InfoObject and from the menu Edit > choose Where Used list.) but no use. It doesn't show the list of queires..It shows only the data targets.
I would like to know is there any table to achieve the requirement.

InfoObjects used in Queries

In BW 3.0B, is there an easy way to determine which InfoObjects are used in queries? The Where Used list for individual objects does not include queries. Im really looking for a way of determining which objects are actually used for reporting.

Hi Mike,
You can see all queries in table RSRREPDIR , which will have some compressed name of the query in COMPUID field. This field will link it to a cross reference table which lists all the columns and rows of the report (table RSZELTXREF).
The infoobject is stored in this table (RSZELTXREF) in a compressed format, I am not sure where to find the link to the infoobject technical name, but you can find the infoobject description in RSZELTDIR.
This way (RSRREPDIR>RSZELTXREF>RSZELTDIR) you should get close to what you want.

I have one requirement of Creating Role with RRMX Tcode, to Ability to use Global queries, and modify/save them Locally for their own use. Ability to Create & Modify Local queries for their own use.
I have tried with all combination but still not able
to save any query(global or local) as local queries by using the option "change query(Local view)",Where as if we do changes in the global queries default its getting saved under global only.
We are unable to restrict only for Local changes.
Let me know in the object name and what value need to add there.

I am using Weblogic 6.1 with SQL Server 2000. I have an entity bean
with a finder method that does a lookup based on a (indexed) varchar
field. I noticed during testing that the performance of this finder
method was much worse than other finders. I did some profiling of the
SQL calls going from the Weblogic container to the database, and
noticed that the query generated for the finder call used the unicode
notation, which seems to result in very poor performance. If you run
the following two queries through SQL Analyzer (or SQL Profiler),
you'll notice a significant performance hit on the query that uses the
unicode notation:
example of generated SQL:
SELECT WL0.field1, WL0.field2 ... FROM tblAccount WL0 WHERE
WL0.accountId = N'40879'
example of desired SQL:
SELECT WL0.field1, WL0.field2 ... FROM tblAccount WL0 WHERE
WL0.accountId = '40879'
Is there any way to force it to generate the SQL without using the
notation with the unicode 'N'?

if you're using data templates for your data set, you
can put multiple queries in the XML data template.
The queries may then be linked (or not) by the "link
name" tag ...
Grtz.Following you answer here...do you know eventually how/if possible to preview a report (with XMLP Desktop) that is using data templates for the data set?

Not able to view Characteristic Hierarchy using Tcode KES3

Hi everyone,
I need to view the Characteristic Hierarchy using T-code KES3 in CO-PA. Ideally, once we are into KES3 screen, we need to select the characteristic and variant to display the hierarchy. But, when I select the characteristic and variant, it says that "Hierarchy doesn't exist".
However, when I create a report for that particular characteristic using T-code KE31, I am able to view the hierarchy for that characteristic there.
Can anyone please help me in this regard that why the characteristic hierarchy is not available in KES3, while it's picking up the hierarchy at the time of report creation.

Hi Nikolas,
I want to see the hierarchy of "Business Unit" characteristic. This characteristic is being maintained under "Referenced Characteristic" in T-code KE31. This characteristics is being maintained in Profitability Analysis (T-code KEA5).
Also, I am not able to derive the source where the hierarchy is being maintained for that characteristic. Because, if hierarchy is coming while creating CO-PA reports. they must be maintained somewhere.

Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
Also, go to Control Panel/System Preferences in Windows/MAC and check whether Acrobat 9 is shown under installed programs list.
You might also try running Acrobat cleaner tool to remove all traces of previous versions of Acrobat:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Then, install Acrobat X again from the link mentioned below:
Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X

Building Tree hierarchy Using nested loops and class cl_gui_column_tree

I want to create a tree report using custom container and class cl_gui_column_tree. I have read and understood the standard demo report which SAP has provided i.e. SAPCOLUMN_TREE_CONTROL_DEMO. But in this report all the levels nodes are created as constants and hardcoded. I want to create hierarchy using nested loops. For this i took one example of a hierarchy of VBAK-VBELN->VBAP-POSNR Like One sales order has many line items and each line item can have number of line items in billing plan.

Now this program compiles fine and runs till there is only one level. That is root->vbeln. But when i add one more loop of it_posnr it gives me runtime error of message type 'X'. The problem i found was uniqueness of item-item_name as all the sales order have posnr = 0010. What could be done? I tried giving item_name unique hierarchy level using counters just like stufe field in prps eg. 10.10.10, 10.10.20,10.20.10,10.20.20,20.10.10 etc.. etc.. but still i am getting runtime error when i add one more hierarchy using nested loop. Plz guide.

Find which screen, folder it was moved to, and hold down the icon until the icons start shaking. Then drag it to the left or right edge of the screen, and it will allow you to move it to which ever screen you want it. When you have it there, tap the Home button to stop the icons form shaking.

3. I create a view link to create master-detail relationship for these 2 view objects.
masterview.SourceBlock (1)->detailview.SourceBlock (*).
4. I create a tree table using these 2 view objects with master-detail relationship.
When I set default value for variable bindings of these 2 view objects and the matching records exist, tree table can work well. I can expand the master row to display detail row in UI.
But I need to pass in dymamic parameter value for variable bindings of these 2 view objects, tree table cannnot work again. when I expand the master row and no detail row are displayed in UI.
I am sure that I pass in correct parameter value for master/detail view objects and matching records exist.

5. What's wrong in my implementation? I don't have no problem to implement such a tree table if using simple master-detail tables view object, but now I have to use such 2 view objects using complex SQL for my requirement and variable bindings are necessary for detail view object although I also think a bit strange by myself.
