Finding words that are not there

I am using Oracle Text with ORACLE 9.0.1.1.1 running on Windows 2000. I have a table with a BLOB field which contains a variety of Word and PDF documents.
I can build the index fine and also sync it after DML and all is well.
The problem is that I can search for words that I know are not in the document and I get a document back. When I open it and search I cannot find the word I searched for.
I used the following syntax for building and searching

Which returns
id file_name

The word is in the pdf but not in the DOC file. I have even loaded the DOC file into an editor and searched the none visible parts of the document and not found the word.
Anyone got an idea what I am doing wrong.

Your database is telling you that in CV170596.DOC is the word 'karen', but you are saying it isn't. The database itself is not indexing the file CV170596.DOC, it is indexing the result of ctxhx CV170596.DOC (INSO filter).
There are 2 possiblities:
1. The word karen is in that result file
-> bug in ctxhx ?
2. The word karen is NOT in that result file
-> maybe your index is corrupted
-> rebuild or call Oracle Support for help/investigation

How can I find photos that are not assigned to any collection?

Hi !
I'm using LR 5.7.1 on a Mac.
When I've retouched raw pictures with PS CC (and do not need the PSD file any longer) I export the PSD (that is in my catalog) as JPG and let it add to my catalog automatically. After that I delete the PSD file. That works fine.
But .... the new JPG file is not assigned to any collection. That's no problem unless I forget to do it manually after that export (and import).
That brings me to my question.
How can I find photos that are not assigned to any collection?
I tried it with a smart collection after I found nothing suitable in library filter. The search criteria I tried are Source -> Collection with any of the conditions. One with an empty value field, then with just a space and so on.
Has anybody a good hint for me?

You can also add numbers if you have collections that don't use alphabet characters.

Help! I have finally, after a decade or so, organized my events and emptied out the trash and gotten rid of duplicates. Round of applause, please. How can I find out if there are sneaky pictures that are NOT in any particular event (please dont say by showing all photos and just going through each one!)

You can't because every photo is in an Event already. That's how iPhoto works. Every photo is in the LIbrary. The Library is built upon events. SO if it's in iPhoto, it's in the Library and in an Event.
Albums are different, as they refernce photos in the LIbrary. It;s perfectly possilbe to have a photo in the Library but not in an album.

How can I find apps that are not in my local iTunes Store ?

I am trying to find apps that we've seen on a friend's iPad however I cannot find them back in our local (South Africa) iStore. Is it so that the European iStore has more items to download than the South African ? Is there any way that I can get apps from another store ? E.g. I was looking for Supermania 2, Luxor HD, RealTennis, WorldCupFever but they give no results when doing a search in iTunes...

You can only buy content from the country in which you are located and you must have a valid credit card registered to an address in that same country.
Only apps and books are available in South Africa and if the apps are not in your store, according to Apples terms and conditions, you cannot purchase them.

Local files that are not there are still visible

In my local files I can still see some albums that are no longer on my Macbook but strangly enough I can still see them??I can even push play, but (of course) nothing happens when I do this.I would like to erase these albums or not see them but how?? In my preferences I have switched off al the local/iTunes tracks etc so I don't see anything else, but they are still there......????See attachment for the "off line tracks" (that don't exist) and my settings

I have the same problem, but a removal and fresh install of the application did not resolve the issue. My original issue - which may be related - is that Spotify will not play some songs. I'm guessing it wants to play a local file instead of a cloud file by default. Somewhere along the way, the local filie (on a network drive) was not available. Then, when I try to play the song in any location, it will not play, move the scrobbly bar. nothing. I have thus far...* Deselected the local files in the app preferences* Removed the storage folder / 'cache' of local files* Removed the application* Reinstalled the application As the OP says and shows, my local files still appear in the list with no option to remove. Oh, and they won't play either.

I did see the ability to flip between the two levels of the data. However, that isn't the same thing as what could be done previously, and what I used to do/the functionality I'd like back.
Flipping back and forth between the two sets of pages makes it harder for how I worked because I make extensive notes about the contacts in the notes field. I need to see those notes to know if I want to move that contact to another group. So you would need to constantly flip back and forth when before it was just scrolling a list and dragging the contact when you saw one that needed to be added to a group.
Bottom line is without the third "window" or view to all three levels of the data open at the same time, much of what I need to do is very difficult now.
I don't have a small screen, and would like to be able to use it. I don't like the idea of having limits imposed and having to work around what used to be there. That is going backwards, not forward.

JSP's can't find Beans that are NOT part of a Package

          It appears that if a bean is NOT part of a package such as a third party
          bean, the
          JSP pages cannot locate them even though they are in your path.

It’s not a best practice to run as RDS Server 2008 R2 will work by adding in the server in farm. For your practice you can try to create DNS entry for different RDS server. You can differentiate different IP address for your RD gateway Server and gateway
tries to connect the DNS and resolve them. Also you need to configure RD RAP and RD CAP policy and create RD Gateway managed group and add. When connecting you can try to select option under Network resource tab “Select an existing RD Gateway-managed group
or create a new one”. (This is not tested in environment you can try for your case).

MS publisher 2010 to PDF using Adobe Acrobat X Pro produces outlines on some of my images that are not there on the publisher file!

I am helping a client publish a book through Createspace. We are both using Windows 8 OS. She created her document in MS Publisher 2010. I made the necessary edits to her book, (111 pages) and saved it as a pdf for commercial printing. The resulting pdf puts lines on some of the images. (All the images are jpg format, but it only happens to some.) I have tried creating the pdf in several different ways including print to PDF, Save as PDF, and Save and Send Wizard for commercial printing. I have also tried deleting and reinserting the images. I don't know what else to try. Does anyone have any ideas.

I agree with your statement; even for a particular document, if I choose to "Print on both sides" and then print again immediately after, "Print on both sides" will be deselected.
However, I'm not sure what you're implying by you're statement. I'm asking precisely why this setting isn't sticky. Acrobat uses a non-standard printer dialog; in the usual dialog I can easily set a defualt duplex setting. I almost always want to print duplex. Why can't I do this by default in Acrobat?

There are songs that I have purchased that are not showing up in my iTunes or in my cloud.

I purchased these songs a couple years back maybe in like 2010 maybe even before that. When I brought a new iPhone and Mac I assumed all of my music would be in my iCloud but there are multiple sons that I have purchased that are not there. When I clicked on research it just took me to a google search with a lot of different site to go to. Is there a way or a place to find out which ones should be activated? When I go to a site general don't understand what they are talking about. There were some that I thought I should activate, but don't want to do that with out checking. You need to go to add-ons, and when it opens up, there are a list of things to the side, and then click extensions.

The "Search" function box doesn't find things that are there! Why?!

The "Search" function box doesn't find things that are there! Why? Eg: It doesnt show all my Sent and Received emails, but it will find an email that I half wrote and deleted. Unsure why or how to explain more fully.
I also don't understand if I type in "James email" or "J" into the search box and all the J / James stuff appears but it doesn't show the emails I know have been sent and I know are somewhere because I rang "James" up to check, but the search box shows random thing I am NOT looking for, even if I type in fully what I am looking for and test it by typing in full titles of things.
It also doesn't store all my sent emails in "Sent" box. Confused! I'm not sure if the "Search" box just isn't up to the job or if it is broken / i'm doing something wrong? Maybe the email address I use isn't set up properly?

This can happen sometimes if the cache is not cleared correctly when items are not deleted from your device.
The only solution to this is to do a restore to clean out the cache file.

I recently had to wipe my hard drive thanks to a download happy teen. In that process I lost my LR4 catalogs I was able to redownload the program but the catalogs are not there and not all of those pictures are on my external hard drive because same said

It depends on how you wiped your drive. Depending on how you did it, only the directory was erased and the data can be found with drive recovery software. Some are free, although there is a small charge for most of them (~$30). You can usually download a trial version that shows if it will work and you have to pay to be able to save the found files. Use Google to search for the software. Different programs work differently and can find different things.

Is there any way to retrieve pictures deleted from photo stream that are not yet on camera roll? I used my iPhone for a camera and put pix on iPad through photo stream. But I didn't realize they were not on the iPad camera roll, and deleted them from the phone Photostream. Now they are gone. Any chance to find them in the cloud?

No, there is no re-cycling bin on the iPad. If you deleted them from the card, and you havn't yet re-used the card, then there may be recovery software that you can get for your computer that might be able to get them back.

LR3 Syncronize folder finds "missing" photos that are not missing

Having switched to LR3 I made some new catalogs and syncrnized some folders. LR3 kept find a ton of missing photos though and I was sure they were not missing. SO I clicked on the "show missing files" button and sure enough it just showed me hundreds of photos that were not actually missing. I checked them by right clicking on them and using the "show in finder" option to check that they were indeed still on my disk.
Whats happening ? It seems to do it every time and I have tried it with several folders. Every time it thought it found hundreds of missing photos.

I did not upgrade my catalog from LR2 to 3 , instead I started an entirely new catalog. I was hoping then to import some old LR2 catalogs into the new LR3 one but alas that plan has fallen foul of the import bug that effects importing catalogs with the same folders in them so I cant do that..... but thats all in another thread.
I think maybe I was not clear enough becuase it sounds like you didnt quite catch my point. My point is that the photos are not missing at all, they ares still clrearly displayed in the catalog and I can double click them and open them no problem. I do not have to locate them at all. They are still there. It is just lightroom saying they are not there when i sync a folder.
So to clarify, when i syncronize,it tells me that X number of files are missing. If I click the button to "show missing files" all the photos that it shows, are still there. It does not display them as missing, it displays them as normal. Now this would not reall be a problem except that the sync default is to remove missing files. So if you leave that option selected, LR removes a ton of files that were not missing!
Does that make it clearer, sorry i was not so clear the first time.

Ok no one has been able to help me so far this is it. I NEVER had these problems with photoshop CS6 extended edition!
The best i can do to describe the dissappearing filters( from iteratrions of Photoshop CC for the last year to now) and pattern overlays were called marble, stones and concretes. where can aI find a list of pattern overlays?
will it do any good to repost to all on this forum?
