If pVal.ItemUID = "dateFrom" Then
oAppObj.MessageBox("", 1, "OK")
End If
End If
Thanks

Hi Adele

One more think:
Im trying to work on the Employee Info and when i update some fields ( exp. startDate = 09/09/06  - dd/mm/yy) im getting an error ( the starting date is befor the birth date =21/01/70 dd-mm-yy) !!! is it a 2K year problem ??
All this it looks so strange ... im using B1 2004A and VB.Net

  • Adobe Pro fires validation event when new page is created

    Adobe Pro fires validation event when a new page is created on many fields.
    When testing in Livecycle, I can add a new page fine, but with Adobe Pro a large list of errors appears and the fields are highlighted in red.
    The errors don't happen in other versions of Adobe.
    These are valid errors if the user tried to submit a field that is required and has not been entered yet, but the error happens when the page is initially created (added).

    I was able to get my role processor to work.

  • Repost - Any way to fire an event when a form component gets or loses focus

    I need to be able to change the functions of the 2 soft keys on my device depending on which items in a form have the focus.
    I suppose I need an event listener to fire when a particular textfield (in this case) gets the focus, and another when it loses it.
    But how do I initiate it? I can't find any way to set an event to fire based on gaining/losing focus.

    Use Item-Commands and ItemCommandListener.
    These are normally only available in MIDP/2.0, but when you use the J2ME Polish GUI, you can use them in MIDP/1.0 environments as well.

    Hello Friends
                          can any body tell me how to clear the client entry from Adobe flash Media server 3.5. when net disconnect.
    i was expecting that on netdisconnect from the client side end(which is connected to FMS) its onDisconnect event fire similarly as it fire for browser close.But when internet disconnect  ondisconnect event not fires at FMS side is there any way to overcome this or any other event  fire at that stage?
    if it is possible to get any event on network disconnection at client sidetahn i can solve the issue.

    You  must be getting the "NetConnection.Connect.Closed" as info.code in the onStatus for the NetConnection.
    See http://livedocs.adobe.com/fms/2/docs/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=LiveDoc s_Parts&file=00000742.html
    nc = new NetConnection();
    nc.onStatus = function(info){
        if (info.code == "NetConnection.Connect.Closed")
            // Netconnection has closed.

  • What event fires when form focus comes back to calling form

  • Capturing Key press when the focus is not on VI. (event is not working).

    I have a VI, and found similar in Forums. I need to catch key down event, when the focus is not on VI.
    I attached the VI found in forum. Try to click on other window, for example on block diagram of VI, when VI is running and check if it works. The answer is no, it doesn't work. When you press any key, the led button must change it's state, but it does only when the focus is on VI's front panel. The question is how to control key press, when VI is minimized or inactive. Is it possible to catch key down or any similar event, when the focus is on any other application, not on VI?
    Solved!

    Have a look at the "Connectivity...input devices..." menu.
    For an example, open the example finder and look for "basic input demo". It should give you some ideas. Good luck!

  • My windows keeps loosing focus when bluetooth goes active

    Hi, I have a problem with my bluetooth.
    When my bluetooth on my laptop goes active i.e. the "bluetooth B" in the bluetooth icon on the botton tray in Windows goes from white to green this problem accours. At that very moment, the current window I am working in goes inactive. If I am typing in a textbox for example and the bluetooth goes from "white to green", the textbox looses focus and I have to cklick it to resume my typing.
    How dow get rid of that problem and still have a reachable bluetooth device?
    Running on Windows XP Pro, laptop:
    Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshibe
    Version v4.42 (D)
    Bluetooth spec:
    Version 2.0, 1.2, 1.1
    Thanks!
    //Doman

    That could be the solution... but no luck..
    Now, I´m running with stack: v6.01.03(D)
    ...and the problem is still there.
    *More background:*
    I am using a SonyEricsson sync program, every morning I connect my mobile via this program. The program is set to autosync the first thing when it detecs the mobile via bluetooth. The laptop stays often in the it´s dock and when I leave it (with the mobile in my pocket) and come back, they find eachother again and the sync starts. This way I never need to start the sync by myself which I always forget otherwhise.
    The problem is that my computer sometimes checks if my mobile is still there (I suspect), and each time it starts to use the internal bluetooth device, the focus of current window I´m using is lost, this is of course very annoing when I´m writing something etc. This occurs regardless of the result of the search, ie regardless of it finds the phone or not.
    Is there any workaround without losing that my phone autoconnects with my computer and the sync starts?

  • Responding to keyboard events when focus is lost

    Is there any way to have a Java Application respond to keyboard events if the focus has been lost?

    Media programs respond to keyboard events to turn up
    the volume, etc... and the program does not have to
    have the focus to do this.On the computer I'm using here, the keyboard button
    to raise/lower the volume goes to the OS's volume control.
    Not to an arbitrary application.
    So the situation in your analogy is not mandatory.
    And more generally, even if your app is not hidden,
    users do not expect that it will "steal" keystrokes.
    Let's say I download a very cool "World Clock Display"
    program that displays the world time of New York
    and Tokyo in the background.
    Let's say I then go to my bank's website.
    I do not want that the World Clock Program
    (which is in full view) to capture my bank password.
    (Clarification: on Windows, on Linux... it is
    actually perfectly trivial for a C/C++ program
    to capture all keystrokes in the background.
    But I do not know if you can do it using Java or not)

  • How a custom control is advised it gains or looses focus?

    Hey, at least I have a question to ask, instead of answering them... :-)
    Actually, I already asked it in another thread, in one of my answers: [onMouseClicked Event Is Failing To Fire|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5391008] but I fear it is lost in a rather lengthly message, so I ask it in its own thread, because I was to bring the attention of knowledgeable people (hello Sun people! :-D).
    The question is simple: In a custom control in JavaFX 1.2, with skin and behavior, how a control is advised when it gains or looses focus?
    The purpose is to let the skin to change the look of the component upon these events, like it is done for standard controls (eg. putting a border around the focused control).
    If the control is clicked, you know (unless it is disabled) that it will have the focus. But I see no way to see the lost of focus, nor when we gain (or loose) it with Tab/Shift+Tab (if it has focusTraversable to true).
    I looked for onFocus() and onBlur() events (or similar), but found nothing. No mixin, nothing related in javafx.scene.input.TextInput and friends, etc.
    I explored the Web but since 1.2 is still new, I found not much information. Only a fragment of source code in [Re: Further location optimizations|http://markmail.org/message/gsevtlkeq45rrdun] where I see scene.getFocusOwner() but this one isn't easily usable because it is package protected (and it is not an event, anyway).
    A possible solution would be to have a timer to inspect the state focused of the nodes, but it is so kludgy I didn't even tried to implement it!
    I hope I just missed the information... If there is no easy/official/working way in 1.2, I hope this will be corrected for next version!

    That's a very good remark, handling of focus highlight shouldn't be done at control (model)'s level. I hesitated to put it in behavior, but it feels more natural in the skin, so I did as you suggested.
    you'll need an interface, and JavaFX does not do thatYou have mixins. But I didn't used them here.
    focused variable never is set to trueHave you included the
    public override var focusTraversable = true;
    line?
    To support multiple skins, my control becomes:
    public class StyledControl extends Control
      // Data related to the control (the model)
      public var count: Integer;
      public override var focusTraversable = true;
      init
        if (skin == null)  // Not defined in instance
          // Define a default styler
          skin = ControlStyler {}
      package function Incr(): Void
        if (count < 9)
          count++;
    }quite bare bones (I intendedly keep the model simple).
    Note I still define a default skin in case user doesn't provide it: they shouldn't care about this detail unless they want to change it.
    I defined an abstract default skin, implementing most variables (particularly the public ones that can be styled) and the focus change:
    public abstract class DefaultControlStyler extends Skin
      //-- Skinable properties
      public var size: Number = 20;
      public var fill: Color = Color.GRAY;
      public var textFill: Color = Color.BLACK;
      public var focusFill: Color = Color.BLUE;
      package var mainPart: Node; // Decorations (id, focus) are kept out of layout
      package var focusHighlight: Node;
      package var idDisplay: Text;
      package var valueDisplay: Text;
      init
        behavior = ControlBehavior { info: bind control.id }
        node = Group
          //-- Behavior: call controller for actions
          onMouseReleased: function (evt: MouseEvent): Void
            (behavior as ControlBehavior).HandleClick(evt);
      postinit
        // Once defined by the sub-class, insert into the node
        insert [ mainPart, idDisplay, valueDisplay ] into (node as Group).content;
      public abstract function ShowIncrement(): Void;
      var hasFocus = bind control.focused on replace
        if (hasFocus)
          ShowFocus();
        else
          HideFocus();
      // Default handling of  focus display, can be overriden if needed
      public function ShowFocus(): Void
        insert focusHighlight into (node as Group).content;
      public function HideFocus(): Void
        delete focusHighlight from (node as Group).content;
      public override function contains(localX: Number, localY: Number): Boolean
        return mainPart.contains(localX, localY);
      public override function intersects(localX: Number, localY: Number,
          localWidth: Number, localHeight: Number): Boolean
        return mainPart.intersects(localX, localY, localWidth, localHeight);
    }and the concrete skins implement the mainPart, idDisplay, valueDisplay, focusHighlight nodes, override ShowIncrement with an animation, override getPrefWidth and getPrefHeight to set to mainPart size and might override ShowFocus or HideFocus (if we want it behind mainPart for example).
    The behavior is:
    public class ControlBehavior extends Behavior
      public var info: String; // Only for debug information...
      // Convenience vars, to avoid casting each time
      var control = bind skin.control as StyledControl;
      var csSkin = bind skin as DefaultControlStyler;
      public override function callActionForEvent(evt: KeyEvent)
        println("{info}{control.count}: KeyEvent: {evt}");
        if (evt.char == '+')
          Incr();
      package function HandleClick(evt: MouseEvent): Void
        control.requestFocus();
        Incr();
      function Incr(): Void
        control.Incr();
        println("{info}: Ouch! -> {control.count}");
        csSkin.ShowIncrement();
    }and knows only the abstract default skin (to apply feedback of user input to skin).
    I use it as follow:
    Stage
      title: "Test Styling Controls"
      scene: Scene
        width:  500
        height: 500
        content:
          HBox
            translateX: 50
            translateY: 100
            spacing: 50
            content:
              StyledControl { id: "Bar" },
              StyledControl { /* No id */ layoutInfo: LayoutInfo { vpos: VPos.BOTTOM } },
              StyledControl { id: "Foo" },
              StyledControl { id: "Gah" },
              StyledControl { id: "Bu", skin: AltCtrlStyler {} },
        stylesheets: "{__DIR__}../controlStyle.css"
    }BTW, I tried layoutY: 50 in place of the layoutInfo definition, but the control remained at default place. Am I reading incorrectly the ref. or is this a bug?

  • How to set fire action event for particular rows in a table

    HI All,
    I have a requirement in which I want to set fire action event for particular rows in a table based on some condition.
    The table has columns like fullname,employee id etc.
    So i want to set fire action event for particulars rows only which will saisfy some condition.

    Atanu,
    Your approach(setting fire action for few rows) seems not possible. Better to go ahead with workaround.
    Do you want this functionality in processRequest(while page loading) or processFromRequest(on some event) method ? Give more explanation regd. your requirement ?
    In either case loop through the rows and when your condition is met write the action to be performed in controller.

  • How do I select the entire text when the focus is moved to one TextBox?

    How do I select the entire text when the focus is moved to one TextBox?
    There are three TextBoxes.  I use <TextBox TabIndex="1"/> to set the order they are selected.  When I enter one specific TextBox, I would like to have the entire text selected ... one key stroke removes all of the text in that TextBox.
    bhs67

    I do it the following way:
    1.  Override the OnStartup for the application.  Use the following code: (VB.NET)
    EventManager.RegisterClassHandler(GetType(TextBox), TextBox.GotFocusEvent, New RoutedEventHandler(AddressOf TextBox_GotFocus))
    2.  In the event handler use this code (again VB.NET)
    Private Sub TextBox_GotFocus(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As RoutedEventArgs)
    _theTextBox = CType(sender, TextBox)
    If setFocusTimer IsNot Nothing Then
    RemoveHandler setFocusTimer.Tick, AddressOf setFocusTimer_Tick
    End If
    setFocusTimer = New DispatcherTimer
    setFocusTimer.Interval = TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds(10)
    AddHandler setFocusTimer.Tick, AddressOf setFocusTimer_Tick
    setFocusTimer.Start()
    End Sub
    Private Sub setFocusTimer_Tick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
    setFocusTimer.Stop()
    _theTextBox.SelectAll()
    End Sub
    What this does is register a handler for every textbox in your application.  This will execute when the GotFocus event is raised and will allow you to do whatever (in this case select all) you want.  A great way of handling things at the application
    level.

  • How can I fire an event case on the value change of an indicator, or a network variable?

    Hi!  I have an event structure setup to look for a value change of an indicator on the front panel.  The indicator is updated by the value of a boolean network-published shared variable through a seperate parallel loop that is polling all of the network-published shared variables.  The event, however, does not fire when the indicator changes value.  I have switched the indicator to a control and tested it with user interaction and that works just fine.
    I want to use the event structure space for my code exectution because it seems logical that that is where it would go, and it will help keep my block diagram tity.  The code is also something I would like executed with the front pannel temperarily disabled.  I would rather not have the code in my network-variable polling loop because again the tity issue.   I would also rather not use a notification VI wired to an independent loop for this particular code.
    Is there a way to have an event structure fire an event with the value change of an indicator, or a network variable directly?
    Thanks for your input.

    I went about things a little differently, but got them to work so..... .  It really was not my desire to have a boolean indicator on the front panel.  As previously stated, my ultimate goal was to have an event fire on the change of a network variable, which I had to poll for anyway but that is tucked away in a section where I am handling all my network variables.  I ended up using that Create User Event, Register User Event, and Generate User Event SubVIs to handle the task.
    I've read the help for all of those SubVI's and it is not entirely clear to me if the event fires every time the "Generate User Event" receives some inputs, or if it only fires when the value changes.  I could do a test to find out.  It wouldn't be too difficult to add a shift register or a feedback node and place the Generate User Event in a case structure so that it is only fired when the input changes state.
