Firefox 4 has already crashed at least a dozen times since I started using it less than a week ago. How do I go back to using the previous version?
It crashes on many sites, but I've noticed it happening most often when using gmail.
I had the same problem, so i re-installed FireFox 3.6.16 on my PC.
First, I saved my FireFox bookmarks.
I then Downloaded and Saved version 3.6.16
The following mozilla page has FireFox 3.6.16 for download...

I then uninstalled version 4 (via the Control Panel) and then I re-installed version 3.6.16 (the older version is working ok on my PC).

After downloading Firefox 4 Beta, my personal website does not display as it used to. The text is now aligned left when it was centered. Also, when I try to log in to You Tube, everything freezes. I have to use the computer task manager to close the browser. It does happen when I have multiple tabs open, but I generally have a LOT of tabs open so this is not new behavior from my browsing, Firefox is just not handling it anymore. All of this started with the 2nd-to-last Firefox update -- I refuse to do the new update because I'll lose an invaluable --to me-- add-on, ljlogin
Are you sure the multi-links icon on the bottom bar of your firefox window is enabled (ie not greyed out)?

I just downloaded firefox about a week ago and the first day i used it i went on to tumblr, and i logged in just fine. But now a week later i'm trying to log into my tumblr and it says it's loading but then it goes straight back to the log in page. I contacted tumblr support and they said to check if i have cookies, and i do. i'm very dissappointed that firefox won't work with tumblr.
solution doesn't work for me. i think those firefox developers are either ignorant, incompetent or simply uninterested in solving this problem which has been around at least since 2010 - we're now in 2012.
i've been loyal to firefox for 10+ years but now i gonna switch to chrome, which i have been using in parallel for a while now and which has not given me any headaches. firefox usage worldwide has been in decline since 2011 and i think this trend reflects the disconnect between the developers and their user base since the chrome-like decision was taken to go down the fast upgrade lane. google can pull that off successfully, firefox can't - sadly. -

There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. What extension are you missing?

I upgraded to a Droid Maxx about 2 weeks ago and all seemed well. Last Friday, I started receiving an "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" error message randomly--sometimes when I was writing a text, sometimes when I would open other apps, there was no rhyme or reason to when it would occur. Now it also appears that I am not receiving some of my texts. I called Verizon Support who told me that they are experiencing this problem on several devices and that she was going to forward me to someone for help. 20 minutes later, no one had picked up and I had to leave. So I thought I would try here to see if Verizon has come up with a fix for this, if I should get another phone, or if they are working on a software update or something. Help, I really liked this phone until now!

I am using the messaging app that was preloaded with the phone, the green face icon. I do not have an "Android Keyboard" app, but I have cleared the cache on the "Messaging" app, several times. I have also gone to the Verizon store where an associate did a soft reboot, telling me that would work. A very short time later, the error message started appearing again--so this did not work either.
The error message comes very sporadically. Sometimes several in a few minutes, other times not for hours. -
The toolbar was the Norton 360 toolbar. I know it doesn't affect the protection, we just like having it there, and I would just rather not have the updated Firefox as to not have that toolbar!

I am beyond livid that my two-year apple care plan is now expired on my iPhone 3G and my phone has completely gone kaput. I attempted to go to AT&T yesterday and just get the iPhone 4, but with the iPhone 5 lurking just around the corner, I would have to pay full value when it comes out in a few weeks/months.
My brother gave me his old iPhone; will I be able to activate it with no problem? I read an article somewhere that I'd have to sign a new two-year agreement with AT&T to activate the old phone, again defeating the purpose of using an interim phone before the 5 comes out.

In both cases, the answer is pretty much the same; go to the site (below), drill down to the version you want, on the platform you use (windows/mac/linux), in the language you use, and download it, then run it.
There is no need to uninstall the previous version.

I think most "usability" issues with Thunderbird would be addressed by using TB v24.6. I'm not so sure what would have changed in Firefox to annoy you. ;-) -
I have tried restoring my I-phone at least a dozen time and it keeps freezing at the Restoring Iphone Firmware step.. I had not been using this phone since October as I updated to the 5c and have had my kids using this for games.. About a month ago I thought it would be useful to update the IOS after I had updates the 5c but this crashed and it has not worked since..
I have reinstalled Itunes - I have just updated again now that IOS7.1 has come thought and I though I may be there as each step of the restore seemed to be working and the line under the apple logo was progressing. However it has now has now been stuck for 4 hours on restoring Iphone firmware?After 4 hours of frozen screen is came up with an error message - Error (3)...Any solutions??

Firefox has been crashing all the time after I updated to the newest version. I tried to uninstalled firefox and all addons. Restarted the computer to reinstall Firefox and it's still crashing all the time. Please help.

Firefox has been crashing at random times for the last two days
Firefox has been crashing randomly for the last two days. I had to download Malwarebytes yesterday because I picked up Malware Doctor (I think that's the name.) It was soon after I had removed the spyware that Firefox started crashing.

Since installing Firefox 9.0.1 LAST night on my iMac, which is running OSX v. 10.5.8, Firefox is now crashing every few minutes. It usually happens as I go from one website to another -- when I click on a bookmarked website from my bookmarks, Firefox crashes just as the next website is coming up. I have NEVER had this problem with Firefox before. I need to uninstall and revert to the previous version of Firefox, but OSX doesn't have an easy "revert to previous configuration" routine. Or... please send out a fix for 9.0.1 (assuming others are having the same problem) right away.
Thank you mha007. Actually, Verdi had solved the problem about 10 days ago. It was another Plug-in, Showcase, that was incompatible with the newest Firefox, so he told me to disable it, and that worked instantly. The other day, though, Firefox again started constantly crashing. This time I looked and found -- as you suggest -- another outdated plugin, in this case Silverlight. Don't know why it took ten days to start causing a problem, but as soon as I disabled it, everything was back to normal. I have NEVER had such problems with any new versions of Firefox, and I've been using it for ages, so this was pretty disconcerting to see how problematic the new version was.
