Firefox keeps crashing when I go to a gaming site Winster, does it every time. I've filed reports and nothing seems to be fixed. I did whatever search firefox asked to determine the problem but there is no "help" for it. HELP PLEASE!
I can be on the gaming site anywhere to a few mins to a few hours but in the end it ALWAYS crashes. I don't have any problems playing on other gaming sites, so not sure as to why I would only crash on this one.
Back up your bookmarks by exporting them to an external file. Also if uninstalling do not use the option to clear your personal data.
I seem to recall it is the AVG safe search that has occaisionally been associated with problems in firefox, try disabling or removing that feature.

I have just reformatted my drive and reinstalled creative cloud and lightroom. When i open it, it says there is another version running the catalog and i have to switch to it to fix the problem, but there is no other version on my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you install the same version of LR, which one?
OS and version?
Open the folder where the catalog (*.lrcat) is located. If you see a file with lock in it while LR is not running, delete it.
Now try to start LR again. -
Since the MobileMe move I keep getting a pop-up screen that says "IDisk Conflict Resolver." I've done everything asked to "resolve" the problem but it keeps popping up every few minutes. How can I get rid of this?
Ok....so I have found a work around....if not a complete solution.
I'm not sure if deleting your music, uninstalling ITunes and reinstalling and adding your music back will actually affect it but I tried it again. Started from scratch.
I checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos"
Then I moved my music to phone via drag and drop, usually just boxing a row of albums at a time.
I went back into my Iphone and began the sync. The message popped up, "1 Item could not be synced" and the sync stopped. At that point, I just clicked sync again and it started back up again. It took a few go's but eventually I got all my music on my phone.
Ironically enough, the only songs that wouldn't sync were songs that I had actually purchased from Itunes....kinda odd -

It has likely moved to another page on your iPad. To swipe between pages, take your finger and swipe left on the home page to get to the next page. Keep doing so until you find the App. Another way to find the App is while on your home page, touch your home button once and Spot Light Search will appear. In the search bar, type iBooks and your iPad will locate the App. If all that fails, you can connect your iPad to your iTunes account via your computer. After your iPad syncs, open the device by clicking on the iPad from the left hand side of your screen. Once your device is open in iTunes, click on the Apps button above and make sure iBooks is checked. If it is not, put a check in the box and the App will appear on your iPad screen.

My nook app keeps telling me "Please be sure you have internet connectivity, then try again." I am currently connected to wifi and it seems that all my other apps that need to be connect to the internet are properly working. I have turn off my phone, signed off my wifi, installed a new app, but nothing is working. My friend is having similar issues. My phone is up to date. I even tried taking off the wifi in hopes that it could just connect to the 3g but nothing. Not sure if anyone else is experiencieng this issue or knows what I can do. I think that it may be an app problem that needs fixed, but not sure. Help!
Maybe its a Viber problem. As that is not an Apple product, why don't you try and contact the developer?

What can I do to resolve this. I have an iMac ios 10.5.8. After I view a video on youtube safari crashes almost all the time.

You have several thing at play. The first, most likely to cause a crash, and easiest to fix is that you have Safari in the wrong place:
Path: /Users/Rich/Desktop/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari
You have the Safari Application on the Desktop but, to work correctly, it must be in the Applications folder :
Path: Macintosh Hard Drive > Applications.
Second, you have some third-party plug-ins or extensions that can cause trouble. Try deactivating DivX---it is known to prevent videos on Apple's web site from working. Also turn off the EverNote extension until you as sure everything is stable. Check for an Evernote update.
See how things go with Safari in the proper place and with extensions turned off. Then turn extensions back on one at a time and test for stability
The fact that you are running Flash 10.3 makes me think you have a newer iMac than covered in this forum. PPC Macs can run no higher than Flash 10.1, so you may be in a forum for models older than yours. Do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and see what the processor description reads. If it includes the word "Intel," you should post future questions here:

Why is the problem? String Manipulation. Help Please.
Ok I have two while loops that run with two different String arrays. The problem that I have is that I have a String LeadPI that looks like this: "Dr. Ayusman Sen, Pennsylvania State University".
I would like to separate the String where the first half "Dr. Ayusman Sen" = String investigator; and "Pennsylvania State University" = String institution;
basically separate the string into two separate String variables.
can I do this in 1 while loop, and why is my output not functioning correctly?

One of the problems with the String's split method is that it will nto handle the spaces properly. You will still need to trim it.
In the class, below, I have coded for you two methods that will do what you are asking for.
The first method (split) uses the String's split method, but then has to go through and trim down the strings to remove the space after the comma.
The second method, tokenize, does the same thing, but uses a string tokenizer.
Both work - I was just trying to illustrate both methods. The tokenizer method is about three times faster than the split method (in my tests) - but the split method is a little cleaner (IMHO) - but we're talking sub-millisecond differences in one execution.
You would get the name from the [0] index of the returned String array and the institution from the [1] index, like so:

System.out.println( "Institution: " + info[ 1 ] );There are some issues with this code... if there is a comma in the institution name or the person's name, if messes things up - if, for example, the persons' name is "Paul Leska, Jr." - the routine splits the string in between Leska and Jr.
The same thing happens in the institution name - if, for example, the name of the place is "University of Minnesota, Duluth" - we tokenize or split between Minnesota and Duluth.
You'll either need to (1) watch your data, (2) make these routines smarter or (3) Change your input to already be split (from the source, perhaps).

Ipod touch crashes when in sleep mode... needs to be reset every time
When my ipod goes into sleep ("slide to unlock") mode and has been left for more than five minutes, it won't come back to life without holding down both buttons to reset it. It also seems to kill the battery when it goes into the crash state.
This only happens with the application upgrades (maps etc) applied.
I have tried reset, restore etc. The only fix is to revert back to pre upgrade verions.
This is frustrating and makes it difficult to use the ipod. Does anyone have any similar experiences or suggestions...?That is the first thing I tried when I got my iPod back from AppleCare and they said the technicians couldn't find anything wrong with it. I restored it in iTunes, only this time I set it up as NEW and did not restore from back-up , thinking that could have been the problem. Only mine still froze up once that night after I set it up as a new pod. So it froze up once on Thursday , no times yesterday and not at all so far today?? So maybe seting it up as a new pod and then resetting it once cleared out whatever was causing the error? I guess we will see.
Pardon my ignorance but what manner of communication did you use to speak with iPod tech support?

On 3/19/13 I was printing photos on my Epson R1800 printer using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 with no problems. I got an automatic Apple OS X software update which I installed. Ever since, when I try to print photos my iMac crashes. How can I unistall the OS X update?
What you are experiencing is called a Kernel Panic and is NOT caused by the OS, they can be difficult to troubleshoot as they can be software or hardware relate. The X Labs writes and excellent article about them, in Kernel Panics. Please read it carefully. In order to troubleshoot your KP you need to post your last KP log, Apple provides instructions for doing so in How to log a kernel panic. Please follow the instructions in that article and post your complete KP report.
As mentioned previously it is NOT caused by OS X! There are common causes, including RAM issues, outdated applications, hard disks failing etc. By posting your KP log we can look at it and determine if it's software and if it is then point you to what is causing the issue. -
After the download, the application screen just shows the "green worm" running across the top for many minutes until I either "hide" it or X it out.
There is a 4.0.1 update for Firefox 4.0. I don't know why automatic update isn't working for you, but you could try these troubleshooting articles and cor-el's post in the earlier thread:

HI. I've got an issue with Pages running on Mavericks. Everytime I open it up it just hangs right there and I can't do anything with it. I've deleted the app and installed it back again but the problem sitll persists. Any help please?

Premiere CC keeps crashing when moving or deleting a group of clips
Hello,
I am getting this weird bug where Premiere CC keeps crashing when I am trying to delete or move (either by using drag'n drop or cut-and-paste*) a selected group of clips on the timeline.
The sequence is set to QT ProResHQ for video previews to match the codec of the video files, so this couldn't explain this issue.
Here is the error message I am getting everytime:

* Copy-paste does work though, that's my workaround for the moment: I copy the selected group of clips, then delete the "originals" one by one, because Premiere crashes only when I am trying to delete or move more than one clip at a time...
Even though I have found a temporary workaround for this weird problem, it's really frustrating as it keeps happening randomly throughout the sequence (not all clips on the same timeline are affected by this), and it complicates the execution of such basic operations as deleting or moving clips around on a timeline.
Any help is welcome, as I keep wasting a lot of precious editing time with this issue.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 9 running on and are you running the 9.0.1 Update version of the program. Just background information.
To each of the three groups, have you first applied the Group option under the Clip Menu? If so, you do not use Alt or Ctrl. You click and drag the selected/highlighted Group to where you want it. Doing that, to the extreme, I can move the Groups including dragging Group 2 over Group 3 to place Group 2 after Group 3 and no disturbances.
But you must wait the the Group to be selected/highlighted completely before you move it.
However, could it be that you have lost control of your project for resource reasons. Besides the 24 tracks high and the body of the tracks in three Groups, what is the duration of this project? Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 is a 32 bit application whether it is run on a 32 bit or 64 bit computer, and the limitations include max supported installed RAM = 4 GB of which 3.2 to 3.0 or less of that are available.

Mail keeps crashing when I want to access the Fonts
I am using Mail 4.5 on a MacMini running 10.6.8
Every time I compose a message and would like to change thefont, no matter which methods I choose to access the font library (either via aright click in the body of the message or from the Format pull down menu– and itdoesn’t matter if I have text in the body of the e-mail or not) – mail justcrashes. Luckily it will save thee-mail in the drafts folder, but I have had to compose messages in Word andthen cut and paste it into Mail to ensure I get the formatting I want.
Any suggestions as to how to smack some sense back intoMail?Further delving in the HELP arena I found this (which is what I am seeing):
If a warning symbol appears next to a font name
A yellow warning symbol next to the name of a font in Font Book indicates that you have duplicate copies of that font installed. Duplicate copies of a font may be installed when you install applications, such as those in Microsoft Office, which contain some of the same fonts already installed on your computer. You can easily resolve this problem by disabling any extra versions of the font.
To resolve duplicate fonts:
Select the version of the font you want to use.
If you’re not sure which font to use, choose Preview > Show Font Info to see information about each font.
To see all your duplicated fonts, choose Edit > Select Duplicated Fonts.
Choose Edit > Resolve Duplicates.
The selected version of the font is turned on and all other versions are turned off.
HOWEVER - the options listed above are all grayed out - I cannot select "Show Info" nor "Resolve Duplicates" from the respective pulldown menus -
when i plug in my ipod nano (6th generation) a message on itunes saying the ipod is 'detected but not identified'- i've spent all day trying to fix it and nothing seems to work so i can't sync any songs..

Since I downloading the new FireFox, it crashes every hour or so, then will keep crashing when I try restart it. Only restarting my computer helps, but then it will crash again. 90% of the time, when sending crash report(s), a mesage that there was a problem sending it appears. Please fix the problem and/or tell me what I can do.
