Firefox keeps reloading on every mouse click

Firefox constantly reloads and it's getting worse with ever button click. I tried IE and it works fine. I'm using version 3.6.13 and it's been doing this for about a week.

A few things that can be happening: some problem with your media; some preference corruption in FCP X; something on your user account; your VRAM being almost used up.
I'd start by deleting FCP X preferences (hold down command and option while starting the application, confirm when asked).
This alone may be all it takes. All sorts of misbehavior can arise from corrupt preferences.
If that does not solve it: start FCP X with a new library. Hold down option, and then choose to create a new library. Add some media, do some edits. Does the beach ball come along? If not, then it may be something in your libraries.
If even with a new library you still get beach balls, create a new admin user and try FCP X from that account. If it works fine there, it will be something in your regular account.

  • Reloading TableCellEditor on mouse click

    Hello! I have a problem: I want to reload TableCellEditor when user clicked on cell in the same column in JTable. In my table different cells have different combobox-editors with different items.
    I use this code:
    public class uprTable extends JTable
        public uprTable(File file) throws IOException
            super(new uprTableModel(file));
            for (int i=0;i<getColumnCount();i++)
                final JComboBox combo = new JComboBox();
                combo.addPopupMenuListener(new
                    PopupMenuListener()
                        public void popupMenuCanceled(PopupMenuEvent e)
                        public void popupMenuWillBecomeInvisible(PopupMenuEvent e)
                        public void popupMenuWillBecomeVisible(PopupMenuEvent e)
                            combo.removeAllItems();
                            combo.addItem(getModel().getValueAt(getSelectedRow(),getSelectedColumn()));
                columnModel.getColumn(i).setCellEditor(new DefaultCellEditor(combo));
    }But this code is wrong: comboboxes are showed incorrectly :( Can anybody help me?

    Override the prepareEditor(...) method. Maybe something like this:

  • I am using firefox 3.6 due to compatibility with roboform.Firefox keeps crashing and when I click a tab opens in a new window don't want that.

    This has been occurring for about 2 weeks.I need a version of firefox compatible with roboform.Very irritating that when I click tabs or links opens in a new window.

    Firefox 4.0 up through the latest 10.0 version is compatible with Roboform7 or with the '''RoboForm Lite Standalone Extension'''. <br />
    http://www.roboform.com/platforms/browsers/firefox - scroll down that page a bit
    As far as troubleshooting your Firefox crashes, start with this: <br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20crashes#w_get-help-fixing-this-crash
    Type '''about:crashes''' in the URL bar and hit Enter. <br />
    # Middle-Click the hyperlinks to bring up each Crash Report page in a new Tab; each page may take a few minutes to load.
    # '''Then copy'n'paste the URL of each of those reports into the message box here.'''
    # We'll see if we can help you figure out what is causing those crashes to happen.
    If you can't open Firefox or keep it open long enough to get the Crash Report ID's, even in the Firefox Safe Mode - see the section entitled - '''''You can't open Firefox because it crashes at startup even in Safe Mode:'''''.

  • I downloaded a "free" program online and now with EVERY mouse click I get a pop-up Ad or Ad window opening. How do I get rid of them?

    I downloaded a "free" version of FLIP4MAC, and now I have Ads popping up with EVERY click of the mouse... How do I get rid of them?
    And no, I haven't turned on TimeMachine yet, so I can't "turn back the hands of time."
    Also, I cannot simply "block pop-ups" because other sites which utilize pop-ups are necessary to my daily activities.

  • How do I get it to stop asking "leave page/stay on page" with every mouse click??

    Every time I click a link a pop up choice occurs asking "leave page" or "stay on page". How do I make this stop.

    Instead of turning off updates all together, I'd like to encourage you to enable automatic updates instead.  While not completely silent, it does allow your flash installation to stay as secure as possible with minimal amount of noise.  For the quarterly updates that do pop up UI, you can simply ignore them.  After 30 days we'll update silently in the background.  Here's a faq that describes the process.

  • Why does FireFox keep changing the window when clicking on another program??

    I upgraded to FF 8 recently. When I start it and go to, say, Gmail (in window A) then open another browser window (window B) to go to, say, Facebook, if I click on another program such as Live Messenger or even a reduced window of another program the window in FF always changes. I.E., I look at window A while B is open. I click on the message box from Live and the window changes to B. I click on A to get back to that window then click on the Live box again and B pops back up. I can't get it to stay on A no matter how many times I try.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Firefox keeps "dinging." Every few seconds, it makes two short, rapid "ding" sounds. WHY??

    There really aren't any more details. I'm new to FF and I have no idea why it keeps making this sound. Please help.

    hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

  • Spinning Beach Ball on almost every mouse click

    I have a late 2009 21.5 imac 8 GB Ram running OS X 10.8.3
    Everything was working fine until I the other day when it froze while being woken up from sleep mode.
    I then got the white screen of death on every startup.  Safe mode worked though.
    I finally reinstalled Mountain Lion and startup worked again.
    Now my problem is I get the spinning beach ball of death all the time and it lasts for several minutes.
    It seems to happen on all applications at random.  Chrome, mail, app store, finder etc...
    I have activity monitor running and it never goes above 5-10%
    Any suggestions on what to do to find what is causing the problem?

    So I created a new user account, and so far everything is working as though my mac were brand new!
    So can anyone tell me the best way to go about transferring files from the old "corrupted" user account to the new one?

  • Firefox 4.0 hangs on most mouse clicks

    I just upgraded to Firefox 4.0 on Friday - 2 days ago. My machine has intel processors, running Windows XP. After almost every mouse click, the browser hangs, and the title bar says "Window title (not responding)," where "Window title" is the actual window title. After waiting a minute or so, the windows repaint and clicks are again accepted. But, again, another click, or sliding a scrollbar will cause the same hang (and same wait) to happen again. Typing text seems to work OK, though. Youtube videos also don't work. The controls below the videos are missing.
    Processor use and network traffic are both at or near zero during the hangs.

    Version 4.0 is not what ""Firefox"" wrote about it.
    However it is free-ware....
    I went back to version 3.6.4

  • Mouse clicking

    Hi all!
    Maybe it's too easy question, but I really appreciate your help!
    What listener should I use if I want to detect every mouse click
    wherever on the screen? When I add MouseListener to any Component,
    the MouseListener method mouseClicked is called only if I clicked
    on that component!
    many thanks

  • Onclick javascript, catching mouse clicks

    Hello Forum,
    I have a page, let's say "page 1" with an interactive report and a column link.
    After a onclick event a page submit will be fired and i will be redirect to a new page, let's say "page 2".
    When i click now a second time at the column link on "page 1" (not a ondblclick event), before the page branches to "page 2", i will get an error.
    This is because there is a unique constraint violation with the building of collections on "page 2".
    As work around, i have the following idea but no solution for this idea.
    If someone clicks more than once, i want to catch every mouse-click on this column link as "void(0)" means "do nothing".
    In summary:
    the first mouse-click should be ok, the second, third, etc should do nothing.
    I guess ondblclick event is not a the right way to handle this issue.
    Because when someone clicks and he will wait for two seconds and then he clicks again before the page is branching,
    then we don't have a dbclick event, but the error is still coming.
    Does anybody have an idea to realize this task.
    Regards Stefan

    What do you have checked in Firefox Preferences>General?
    Ciao.

  • I just downloaded (updated) Firefox to V 20.0.1 now the "search" does not work, either via the mouse click or the enter key. Windows XP.

    Updated to latest version, V 20.0.1 Now when on the home page the "search" does not function with mouse click or the enter key. Currently running XP Service pack 3. I also have the same problem (after same firefox update at home with my HP laptop running Windows 7.

    You can check if you still have the XML files of the default search engines including Google in the searchplugins folder in Firefox program folder.<br />
    If not then you need to reinstall Firefox.
    Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
    *https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
    Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
    Try to delete the search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    Firefox will rebuild the search.json file from the default search engines in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
    Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 20.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
    *Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
    Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
    If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

    You installed the ReloadEvery Extension rather and not downloaded it to disk.
    To set the reload time for the tab you are viewing you can right-click the page and select a time.

  • I am using FireFox 4. Where is the "Bookmark All Tabs-" feature. I would like to save my Tabs for a later session. The selection is not on the menu when I right-mouse click or go to the Bookmarks feature of the Menu.

    Missing "Bookmark All Tabs…" feature which was in previous versions of FireFox 3.x. If you right-mouse click on a neutral part of the Browser window, there would be choice of "Bookmark this page" or "Bookmark All Tabs…". I have been unable to find it either in the sub-menu or the BOOKMARK selection from the Menu Bar.

    What do you mean by Tabs sub-menu is it right-clicking on a tab ?
    I know that "ctrl-shift-D" still work.
    I know that a right-click on a tab gives the "Bookmark all Tabs" function.
    But I would like to see it back in the Bookmarks menu. (which is its logical place)
    Because today the choice only disappeared from the menu as it is still reachable through keyboard shortcut or through mouse right-click on a tab
    but tomorrow it will totally disappear and personally I don't want that as this is one of my favorite functionality.
    Tank you for your understanding !
