Firefox secure site login issue since updating to Leopard

I have been using firefox to access my online banking as safari would not work with the drop down menu's within the site.
All was working well. I updated to leopard and it was still working, until firefox updated it's security. It now will not pull up the password page to my banking site. comes back "not able to access at this time, try again later"
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Larry

Thanks I forgot, I updated on the PB but didn't do it on the iMac.

  • Issues since update to yosemite

    Hello everyone,
I've been having all sorts of issues since updating to yosemite which I am struggling to fix on my macbook.
I've had the mac since 2010/11 and the first thing I noticed after updating to Yosemite was the fan constantly running from the moment I boot the machine and that the icons on my desktop were extremely slow to load up as are any files in the documents folder and finder.
Then watching videos on youtube etc were refusing to play fully. I have since updated to the latest flash player but it is still slow.
I ran the activity monitor and a kernel task file is operating at around 120% all the time.
I have read numerous posts on the internet to try to fix and have upgraded to the latest yosemite, reset the printers and many other things.
Now the trackpad is no longer working and not recognised and now the final straw for me is the keyboard refusing to be recognised at startup. I am currently using a wired mouse and bluetooth keyboard to get around these problems and everything is working fine with these but is a real pain.
Has anyone had any similar problems to the above and know how to sort as this is taking up way too much of my time.
    Thanks

What is the exact, complete text of the error message you get?

  • To all experiencing burn issues since updating to last version of iTunes

To all that have been experiencing difficulties burning music since updating to iTunes6:
After reviewing this discussion board it seems obvious to me -I am not a technician but nonetheless- that the problems that we are experiencing are due to some kind of incompatibility between our PCs and Apple.
While some here have been very helpful in trying to resolve these issues, I find it disgusting that Apple does nothing. Itunes customer support do nothing. We are left to fend for ourselves, frustrated by the amount of money we have invested in building up our music collections in order fot them to be held hostage because Apple and/or iTunes will not address the issue.
Did anybody bother reading the software license upon updateing to the earliest version? Is it too early to talk of "class action" suits?
It seems logical to me that we will be heard better by Apple if we speak as a collective and not individuals. Maybe that way we could put more pressure on them to either fix what needs to be fixed or refund the money we have invested in iTunes.
As for me, iTunes has already lost me as a client. I won't download any more music because there is nothing I can do with it. That doesn't seem to matter to them. I suppose this is what happens when you get too big for your own britches!
Any ideas on how we can take down the bully????

Lost data from iTunes on upgrade? See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.
Restored an older backup to the device? If you're lucky your most recent photos may be in your Photo Steam.
Otherwise you may need to paint a fuller picture of the problem...

  • Late 2013 MBP w/Retina Battery Charging Issue since update to 10.10.2

I don't know if this is due to the update to OS X 10.10.2, or if it's just coincidence, but ever since updating, my battery has had issues charging.
When I plug into an outlet, the indicator in the menubar shows that it's plugged in, light on the power cord doesn't light up (not amber, not green, nothing) and the percentage estimate for power remaining doesn't increase at all, no matter how long I'm plugged in for.
I thought it maybe had to do with more things being plugged into the powerstrip, so I tried plugging into an directly into a wall outlet, but that was no use.
The only way to get the battery to start charging again is to restart AND zap the PRAM; clearly this isn't optimal...
Is any one experiencing this type of issue as well? Any hints or ideas as to how to fix it?
    Thank you!

  • Email and Photo issue since update

Ever since the 2.2 firmware update the images I email from my 3g iphone are displaying very low res on my wife's phone and vice versa. She emailed me some photos that looked fine before the update and now they are all pixelated. Has anyone else had this issue since the update?

This is a known bug and the subject of a big thread here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1802430&tstart=45
There is not much you can do about it other than hope for an upgraded firmware release.
The photos are stored on the phone in the proper resolution, and you can copy them to your computer and they look fine.

  • Google search box in mid screen accepts text but is inactive. Adobe reader does not now function with Firefox. Both are new since update. Thanks

    1. The google search box in the middle of the FF page accepts text but is not active since my update. The search bar box works.
    2. Adobe reader does not seem to work with the new update. eg. Epost suggested I update Reader which I did but it still doesn't work. New since update. It works with Safari which I dislike or i would simply change.
    Thanks
    David

Does that box still Shows the Google text?
Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
Current Firefox versions use the default search engine (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename) to set the search engine that is used on the about:home page.
Check the <b>browser.search.defaultenginename</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure that it is set to the default value Google.
    *browser.search.defaultenginename
You can check if you still have the XML files of the default search engines including Google in the searchplugins folder in Firefox program folder.
If not then you need to reinstall Firefox.

  • Apple TV not showing up since update to Leopard

We have three networked computers, mine being the one shared with the mac. Today, after my latest update (if that is relevant) I can not get it to show up in ITunes. And preferences for ITunes does not see the apple TV. It shows the shared itunes of the other computers, and the Apple TV shows my computer as being linked to it (but the name is ghosted out.) (If I select it however it gives me an option to break the link and lose the synced content.)
I did have the computer in for repairs this week. All seems to be the same, but there must be some setting that got changed.
I checked the firewall settings...is there not a way any more to turn this off? I am remembering that I could do that in the past but now I cannot find a place for this.

Thank you both...I have tried the suggestions and no breakthrough yet. Perhaps one of these days it will show up! Interesting in that it shows in itunes on the G4 computer which is not running Leopard just fine.
I may disconnect it on the Apple TV and hope it will show up then...if not I guess I will lose what is on it now. Perhaps another update will reconnect the two as I sense that a lot of people have had problems since the last Leopard Update.
If anyone else has a suggestion I would be grateful to hear it. I can actually ping from my computer to the IP address of the Apple TV, but in ITunes preferences it shows no sign of seeing any Apple TV. I have rebooted/unplugged modems and routers/studied every preference setting/repaired permissions.

  • Since updating to Leopard can't connect to server via internet

Since updating our server to Leopard I haven't been able to connect to it via the internet from home. Any ideas? Says verification failed when I try to re-add it. Ports 3283 and 5900 are open at both ends.
Edit: I just managed to access it using the root account. Any ideas why it's not working with the other admin accounts via the internet (they work when I'm local)?

It appears that the adding a user to the "allow access for" list corresponds to adding group membership, in the group "com.apple.access_ssh".
So, one way of brute-forcing a user into this list would be to add it to the group. One way of doing this at the command-line:
    sudo dscl . append /Groups/com.apple.access_ssh GroupMembership whatever-my-admin-account-is-called
This will require a password and only work for people with sudo permission, natch.
    CAVEATS:
    1) I have no idea what you mean when you say "local" users. What distinguishes the "local" users from the others?
    2) I do not know where the OS stores the information about whether or not the "All Users" radio button is checked. I just checked to see whether checking this box adds all users to the com.apple.access_ssh group, and I confirmed that it does not.

  • Secure Zone Login Issues:  It worked great and now just stopped.

The secure zone on my client's site worked great for about a month and now it just stopped.  All of a sudden it won't let us type into the username and password boxes.  We can click on the "remember me" button and the "submit button" but not type.  I've tried deleting and redoing the code and still nothing.  Our issue is occuring most when used with Chrome's browser.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for your reply, Liam.  Oddly enough I was just reading your expectional contributor profile that popped up in my side collumn.
Here is the link to the site.  The login works fine in Safari, it's just a problem with Chrome I believe.

  • Auto-login issues since Restoring to new iPod Touch

I recently purchased the new iPod Touch 32GB and restored all of my settings from my previous iPod onto this one. My previous Touch was also on 3.0.
Since the upgrade I have had constant issues with the auto-login web feature at my local Starbucks. It sits on the "Connecting" screen and then eventually fails. Then I have to choose to connect to the network (because it automatically disconnects wifi when the login fails). Then when I connect a second time it brings me directly to the login screen where I can enter my account info and choose to save it to auto-login in the future. The problem is that it never seems to work the next day when I try to connect again.
My previous iPod Touch never had issues with the auto-login feature. And let me tell you that it is frustrating that there is no cancel from the dimmed "connecting" screen. I have to wait 4-5 minutes for it to realize it's not working.
    I have already tried:
    -Clearing Cache
    -Clearing Cookies
    -Clearing Autofill Names and Passwords
    Any help would be awesome!

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Mobile - Secure zone login issues

    Hi All,
I'm able to log in to BC sites with secure zones using a samsung galaxy s1 and iphone pretty consistently however when using a samsung galaxy s2
I can't login - tested over 3 sites so I know it's not the code on the page interfering with login.
Anyone else have issues logging in to secure zones with mobiles?
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Sure,
    Using the Default browser on
    Samsung Galaxy s2
    firmware version : PDA:LP8 / PHONE:LPS / CSC:LP4 (XSA)
firmware version : PDA:LPW / PHONE:LQ6 / CSC:LP6 (XSA) upgraded to see if it would help but no luck
    1. Click the link to login (either on login form or just clicking on a link to a page within the zone I'm trying to log in to).
    2. Enter correct username and password (multiple testings and changes of password have been tested)
    3. In either case, URL will change to /Default.aspx?PageID=######
    Sometimes it will show /Default.aspx?PageID=######&Error=Thank+you+for+logging+in.
On some of the websites I've tried - Creating a new customer on the samsung galaxy s2 will register the new user for the zone - but the form will not allow the user to be logged directly in on submission - error page " We're not able to log you in "  appears however the user is created, assigned to zone and can be used fine on a desktop.
Content that should be accessible once logged in - isn't (example. Login changes to logout, customer name "Hi Firstname lastname" won't display etc. because it's just not logging in.)
Zone subscription is checked, works on Samsung Galaxy s1 as it should.

  • Yahoo mail issues since updated safari

Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion and updated Safari, I'm having strange Yahoo email issues. The following work fine in a Firefox browser session.
    1) typing addresses deos not fill in names like it used to
    2) I can't attach files, I get an error everytime

I had the same problem with Yahoo! Mail but even worse I found that I simply could not send any mail at all. The problem only arose this week after installing the new (1.1.4) software upgrade.
I had originally set up Yahoo! Mail using the option given on the Mail screen and it worked perfectly until the upgrade, which may just have been coincidental, I suppose. But I was then unable to send any mail at all. I deleted the e-mail account and then reapplied it but not by opting for the Yahoo! option on Mail and instead set it up as an 'Other' POP account, being sure to deactivate SSL and instead go for Password verification. From what I gather this is just how you would set up a Yahoo! Mail account for MacMail and this basically applies the advice that BT gives for Yahoo! Mail users with a Mac.
It then worked fine, but I lost the really cool real-time sync with Yahoo! Mail which I had had previously.
I have since managed to get Yahoo! Mail working again properly by simply trying and trying and trying to reapply the account as a true Yahoo! Mail account on the Mail icon and eventually it gave in to my dogged persistence.
    Good luck.

  • Accordion menu issues since update on Feb 26

    Hello
I have been experiencing problems with my accordion menus since the update. I get 'warning: accordion might push down content' in the warnings panel.
Menus that previously pushed the footer down and when expanded and then when contracted moved the footer up now do not work they spill over past the footer. I have made sure the "overlap items below' is unchecked, I've cleared my browser cache, restarted the machine, deleted the existing accordions and replaced them with a new versions etc all to no avail.
My previous site archives created in previous version of muse are all working fine with the footer automatically moving as the accordion expands and collapses. now with this update it seems broken and just at the point where things were about to be taken live. I have looked at other accordion issues on the forum which seem to point to a bug.
    Any help please?

Shiny_Sparkly, if you're on the Mac and the crashes bring up the Apple Crash Report dialog, the crashes are most likely caused by a bug introduced by the update to AIR 3.6 and not the update of Muse. They just happened to occur within a few days of each other. The AIR team is actively working on an update to address this bug. In the meantime, you can downgrade to AIR 3.5 by uninstalling AIR (using the uninstaller in Application/Utilities) and installing AIR 3.5 from here <http://download.macromedia.com/air/mac/download/3.5/AdobeAIR.dmg>. After installing, when you launch any AIR app (like Muse) it will ask you to update to AIR 3.6, click "Later".
If you're on Windows or the crash/error doesn't bring up the Apple Crash Report dialog, it would be helpful to have more details of the error/crash you're encountering. Thanks.

  • Strange client issue since updating to Server 10.6.6

We updated our Server to 10.6.6 last weekend. Since then our managed clients have been exhibiting strange network login behavior. We manage our mac laptops via groups in Workgroup manager and our OD is bound to AD.
    Example of issue:
    - client computer is set to auto logon with password in the client system preferences with an Active Directory account. When the user goes to browse the network they automatically get logged on to volumes. Logging out of the server by dragging volume to trash does not rectify as browsing the network produces the same results. When logging off of the network, the next time the network is browsed the server should have to be logged on to again, but is not. If I disable autologon, the same issue exists. If I then log on with a different network account, accessing network volumes acts correctly and I am prompted for a username and password. This is happening on a couple of hundred machines

having the same problem! hope someone could help asap!

  • IPhone 4s suddenly not seen by Win7, but is seen by iTunes? A friend who supports 30 iphones as an IT manager says it's a rampant issue since update. Official position Apple??

I'm completely up to date, I've restarted my pc and my phone several times. Is this intentional? Is apple trying to hide the device so it forces you to go through itunes and icloud?
Photostream has NEVER worked for me anyway and even if it did I want to see my device on my computer. My 16gb 4s has been 'backing up' for over an hour now. I can no longer access my phone photo folders through my computer, my phone does not even appear as a device anymore. It charges and itunes starts right up though. Prior to this last update it worked fine.
I don't want to be forced into using icloud or itunes to access my data. Is this yet another glitch or is it intentional?
I texted my IT friend hoping for a quick fix and he texts back  "As you know I support 30 iphones, this week has been a nightmare, I feel your pain and don't have an answer."
I've seen a lot of similar posts when googling this issue but no one from apple support has addressed this, the only 'solutions' are 'reinstall icloud' or something like that. F*** icloud, which I deleted anyway. I want to access my phone through my computer as I was doing before.
All my drivers are up to date on my pc.

@ Peter: So this is apple supports way of saying 'we have no clue' or 'yes infact we are attempting to force you to use itunes as the sole way of transferring your data'?
Since you apparently can't figure out the issue by reading my first post I will lay it out very simply:
Ever since this last iTunes update (just this week) my Win 7 64 bit computer will not 'see' my 4s iPhone, but iTunes will. Prior to this I could go to 'My Computer' and see my phone, I could then open and copy any photos or videos out of it to my computer in 1/1000th of the time it took to sync with iTunes.
Now, suddenly I can't. Restarting my phone and my computer several times has not resolved this issue.
    1) I'd like a solution if there is one
    2) If there isn't one I'd like to know if this is something apple has done intentionally
    3) If you're reading this and do not have a solution or an answer to this issue, please don't call me liar or complain that I'm ranting.
