Fireworks Menu Code in Dreamweaver

Hi there. I created a menu in Fireworks and exported the html
to Dreamweaver. I understand there is a way to take out the html
code created by Fireworks and put it in a style sheet so that I can
substantially reduce the size of the html code in all my files.
The complete code is attached for you to see. If someone can
help me out, that would be great, thanks

Thank you! I actually had to create a new CSS declaration specifically for the header in the "welcome" div to get those two rules to work, like this:
#welcome {
          width:432px;
          height:106px;
          float:left;
          margin-top:60px;
          font-family:Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
          color:#666666;
          text-align:center;
#welcome h1 {
          font-weight:normal;
          font-size:45px;
As you can see, I took   font-weight:normal;   and   font-size:45px;   and put them into the separate declaration   #welcome h1   to specifically affect the header. This was the only way I could get it to work.
Thank you so much!

  • Update Fireworks menu links in Dreamwaver

    Hello :
    I posted a topic in forum regarding update links in
    Dreamwaver (DW 8). From the reply community experts suggested that
    Fireworks menu should not be used in DW template.
    In another forum post - titled "dreamweaver template",
    another community expert said submenus based on JavaScript will not
    work in DW template. "- these will not work in a dw template
    without some editing to make
    the paths be site root relative or better, absolute paths."
    I manually updated the links(links in pup-up menu imported
    from FW ) in templaged-based pages. Is there an easy way to work
    with? Please share your experience and approach to this problem
    with me. Thanks!
    Here is my code segment for pup-up menus:

    href="javascript:;" part of the code

    > Is there an easy way to work with?
    No. You are sure to become frustrated with these menus.
    Nobody here recommends or suggests that you use them.

  • Fireworks menu in template child pages

    Hi, I'm redoing my site with templates. I made a pop-up menu
    in Fireworks, and put that in the locked region in a template. I am
    applying that template to some child pages in a few folders under
    the main site folder. The menu was working fine before, but I
    changed the Fireworks menu file, and put that in the template and
    saved it and updated all pages that use that template. After doing
    that, the menu pops up, but the buttons aren't right. They're just
    squares of color instead of the gif buttons that Fireworks will let
    you do. Also, the arrows on the pop-up menus that lead to the sub
    menu aren't there. I think an "x" just shows up instead.
    Does anybody have any suggestions about this? Thanks!

    I read that article. Very interesting..... those turds at
    Crackholemedia..... I also checked out those other links to other
    options. Thanks for those. I was really liking how my menu was
    looking in Fireworks.... Any idea how to make my dropdown buttons
    look like this?:
    http://www.decoy.cc/us/picslivejp.htm
    Any comments on using Flash (or Dreamweaver, or anything else
    without spending money, since I already have these programs
    anyway... the turds...) to make a menu?

  • How do I edit my Android Apps Code in dreamweaver? As well I can't find any of the App options that I keep hearing about in my cloud based Dreamweaver.....

    I already have an app that I paid someone to make but I needed to make some changes to the code and wanted to do it in Dreamweaver. How is it best to load my code into Dreamweaver, navigate through it, and find the code I need to change? As well my version of Dreamweaver ( It the new Cloud based ) doesn't have any of the App features. Do I need to load it differently or something?

    It really depends on how the app was developed and loaded.  DW can help with web interfaces and some parts of the app development, but depending on the complexity and language of the app you may need additional tools like Xcode (Apple) in order to modify the app.

  • Flash code into Dreamweaver - Help please!

    I am using GoDaddy for my hosting account. It is on a linux
    server. I have created an HTML page and loaded it up to the
    internet using Dreamweaver, like I normally do. the page in
    question is
    http://www.desmoinesbilliards.com/gallery.html
    When I use dreamweaver to insert the flash movie, it
    transfers it as normal, but it will not show up on the website. The
    flash movie works fine on the server, just cannot be seen on the
    site. I called Go Daddy who said that there is a problem with the
    way the code is calling up the Flash movie. I have not altered it
    at all from the way that Dream weaver inserts it. The flash movie
    is located in a folder on the site called 'flash'. The code is
    below. I can't figure it out, any help would be appreciated. The
    code that dreamweaver inserts is below. By the way, I use
    Professional 8 version of both products.

    Upload the scripts folder that DW places in your local site
    when you insert
    Flash on a page.

  • Can't select code in Dreamweaver cs6

    Hi,
    I can't select html code in Dreamweaver CS6. Instead a line appears with a small square at the top and bottom. What is this, and how do I turn it off?  I've searched in the forums and the only suggestion that I found was to check whether I am using a template, but that isn't the case. This is occuring on existing and newly created files.  I have the view set to Designer with split view.
    Thanks

    Not sure what you mean by a line with a small square at the top and bottom. This is normal when you select anything in code view:
    When you click one of the boxes, it collapses the code like this:
    To expand the code, click the box next to the line number.
    If that's not the problem, please describe what's happening in more detail.

  • What's a good wysiwyg menu widget for Dreamweaver CS6 Mac?

    I'm trying to build menus in Dreamweaver CS6 Mac, and started using Spry...then learned that Adobe will no loner be supporting Spry and that it may not be as compatible with browsers in the future.
    What's a good alternative wysiwyg menu widget for Dreamweaver that's makes it easy to create horizontal/vertical pop-down menus/sub menus? I'd be willing to pay for it if it's worth it.   Would be nice if it worked within Dreamweaver using Design/Spit modes the way Spry does, but not essential.  Thanks!

    Project Seven are widely regarded for their commercial DW menu extensions.
    PMM3 is one of the best I've seen
    http://www.projectseven.com/products/menusystems/pmm3/index.htm
    I have no affiliation with Project Seven other than as a happy customer.
    There are other menu systems out there too but I've never used them.

  • Sélection code dans Dreamweaver CC

    Bonjour,
    Merci.
    Configuration: Dreamweaver CC, Mac OS X 10.8.5, MacPro 20Gb Ram, SSD.

    Bonjour lorenzo,
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform. Mes expériences sont positives.
    L'autre choix aurait été de contacter Adobe, ici le lien: http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/contact.html

  • Menu Code

    Dear Friends
    How can i call the startup code of the menu, after i started the form.
    i have an application with multiple users privileges, and when the user login to the application a specific menus will appear, and when another user login to the application another menu items should appear.
    to achieve this goal the application must be closed then started again. can i call the menu code from the main form without closing the whole application??
    Thanks in advance
    Mohammad

    if i have understood what your issue is right...
    now, do you have a username/pwd set-up for each user in your application ?
    or you are using the user's network login names to set previleges in your menus?
    if you are dynamically doint this process of extracting the network login name of the user that is using the application, then all you have to do is enable/diable menu "items" at form start-up
    or, when you have a username/password screen..or you have a database of your own usernames and pwds, you can code this logic in your submit button to change the menus appropriately..this is like when a user submits his username/pwd info, and the menus are set accordingly
