First date column in Order

hI,
Default of column "First date"
Is it possible to not fill  "First date" in item overview( ETDAT) with desired delivery date (KETDAT) of the header.?
if yes can it will be possible for any perticular area?
regards,
Anup

First date is filed which will filled with "Request delivery date " by default though you can change manually.
its as good as saying that RDD @ Item level.
Not understood that why you dont want to fill this field? This field is again copied in "Delivery date" field on which basis availability check carried out.

  • First date in Sales Order

How could we make the "First Date" field in the SO to be changeable?
Once I enter the cust.requested delivery date under the "First Date" column in the SO, if later cust. wish to change the delivery date. That field is greyed out !
    Is't it controlled in VOV8?

    Hi,
Check the dates for delivery in scedule line tab at item level in sales order.
You can maintain the dates for deliveries and also delete the same. based on these dates system will create deliveries.
Once you create delivery for total quantity, no schedule line is required so it will be grayed.

  • Determination of First Date in Sales Order

    Hello SAP Friends,
Below is the issue we realised during the testing. The issue is with First date in the Sales Order which is not updated as per Unloading Point Calendar .
As per details I received, it should refer Unloading Point Calendar for ShiptoParty and populate the next working day as First date into Sales Order.
How is First Date determined in the sales order?  Is there any config settings which is based on Route to do this? Or Is it controlled purely based on settings done in Tcode: VOV8, Leadtime days? I do not think VOV8 settings is controlling that in our APO system.
I have checked MAD, Pick/Pack, GI date all are populated correctly, But First Date did not follow the logic Unloading Point Calendar of ShiptoParty.
Please let know your inputs in this regard.
    Thank you
    Satish Waghmare

    Satish,
I unfortunately don't have a solution for you.  However, here are a few observations, and a question.
My experience is that 'First Date' in R/3 is not determined.  In every sales order I have ever seen, First Date is proposed (matches the requested delivery date in the Sales order header) by the system, but can be overridden by any changes that the user may elect to make.
Generally, then, after First Date is entered, the R/3 system then may be configured to determine certain master data:  Shipping Point, Unloading Point, Route, Route Schedule.  From this master data, if you are performing ATP in R/3, the system will then also calculate various dates (if configured) for the confirmed schedule proposal:  Normally these calculated dates are Delivery Date, Goods Issue Date, Loading Date, Material Availability date, Transportation Planning Date.  If you have configured Route Schedules in R/3, other dates may be determined.
If you are performing ATP in APO, then any such scheduling must be performed in APO.  Relevant Master data that was determined in R/3 is carried across to APO during the ATP check and is then used to calculate appropriate durations.  This does not happen automatically, you have to configure the scheduling technique you wish to use in APO.
So, my first question:  Are you performing ATP in APO?  If not, then you should probably close this post, and re-enter in one of the SD forums, since it is an SD issue.  If you are performing ATP in APO, then what scheduling technique are you using?

    hi dinesh......
please use  'INTO TABLE' instead of  ' INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE '.  and use ' FOR ALL ENTRIES '............based on relavence ....coz when I set break point  over the select queries it took me long time to execute .......
becoz u didnt used the for all entries  in select query ............ u r read statement
    READ TABLE I_KNA1 INTO WA_KNA1 WITH KEY KUNNR = WA_KNVV-KUNNR.  .....
it is reading wrong kunnr value .............even it took long time to execute ......

  • First date in sales orders

    Hi experts,
Today, the system automatically proposes tomorrow in "first date" when creating orders, no matter what customers or material. Before today, it proposes current date as first date when creating orders.
Pls help to dig out the route cause. Thx.
    More info:
"Factory calendar" shows Jan 26 only as public holidays. Workdays just exclude public holiday. CMIR records are not maintained. "Propose del date" is activated in the sales document type. In material master, "GR Processing Time" 2 days was set in MRP 2 (scheduling) only.

    Hi Cathy,
    Any adviceuFF1F
My sincere adivse is...when we are handling an issue which requires investigation, we have to check all the possible areas and it needs lot of patience. We cannot expect a straight answer for this kind of issues. It is only on trial and error basis we have to check the possible cause of this problem. Have you checked the calendar assigned to the sales organisation?
    Thanks,

  • How to get schedule line date copied to "First date" in sales order

    Dear forum
I am creating a sales order as normal and put in a Requested Delivery Date (KETDAT) for the order.
This requested delivery date is then copied to the "First date" (ETDAT).
Now, the ATP is checked for each line item in the order and a Schedule line date / material availability date is calculated for each line item.
My question is: Is there any way to have the "First date" field of the line item in the sales order populated by the first material availability date (calculated by ATP), instead of copying the Requested  Delivery Date? Any user exit? Any config?
It would mean that every time I rerun ATP check in the sales order line item, the "First date" field would change if the material availability date change. If there is multiple material availability (multiple schedule lines) dates per line item, then the earliest date would be copied to the "First date" field.
Is there such functionality? Or possibility to config/program?

OK. Unfortunately reservations cannot be created at the serial number level. So the unsupported way of doing this is updating the mtl_serial_numbers tables. I hope you would know (by some means) which serial numbers you want to allocate to a specific sales orders. If you know, update group_mark_id column in mtl_serial_numbers table with your order_line_Id, This will avoid any one from picking the serial numbers (they will not come up in the LOV or will not be auto allocated).
But you have to make sure to take it off when you actually want to pick this order line and allocate this serial number. So just before you pick release/ confirm this order line you need to update column back to null so that you can allocate that serial number.

  • Regarding "first date" in sales order

    Hello gurus,
I  have a forward sales order in which all the line items have 1-1.5 month future first date but one line item have 4-5 months future first date.
client question is on what basis this vary far date is getting calculated.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
This date is calculated either based on the ATP results or after carrying out delivery/transportation scheduling. Please check the stock situation of those materials. If transportation scheduling is active, check the lead time maintained in the determined route as well.
If you press "F1" in that field you will see how the system react on that field.
    Best regards,

  • First Date on sales Order Line item problem

I am having a problem with understanding why am I getting different First Date at the line Item every time I create an order using VA01.
Our lead time for order type OR is set to 3 days in the TVAK table and field VLAUF.
If I go to VA01 and enter a sales order OR, the date should be today's date (04/02/2014) + 3 work days = 04/07/2014 because 04/05/2014 is a Saturday.
Today when I calculate the order it brings in the first date as 04/05/2014 in some cases.
But if I put in the Sales Org in the VA01 screen along with the order type OR, the first date comes in as 04/07/2014.
    Can someone please  explain it?

"""""Users may or may not enter the sales org when creating an order"""""
You cannot create a sales order without the sales organization.....
Even though you missed system will always redetermine after entering the Sold to party number in sales order from your master data...

  • Returning multiple date columns in order

    Hi,
I was just wondering if there was an easy way of returning a number of date values in order at row level.
An example of the data would be:-
    TABLE DATES
    P1_DATE P2_DATE P3_DATE P4_DATE
    01-JAN-2009 13-FEB-2008 16-JUN-1998 30-SEP-2006
The problem being that in this case I would want to return P3_DATE, P4_DATE, P2_DATE and P1_DATE in this order. However, this would not always be the case as there are no specific rules to state that P3_DATE is before P4_DATE etc.
Any help or advice you could give would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    ca84

    Hi,
For four items, it's not too bad:
    SELECT     GREATEST (p1_date, p2_date, p3_date, p4_date)     AS latest_date
    ,     LEAST ( GREATEST (p1_date, p2_date, p3_date)
               , GREATEST (p1_date, p2_date, p4_date)
               , GREATEST (p1_date, p3_date, p4_date)
               , GREATEST (p2_date, p3_date, p4_date)
               )                              AS second_latest_date
    ,     GREATEST ( LEAST (p1_date, p2_date, p3_date)
                  , LEAST (p1_date, p2_date, p4_date)
                  , LEAST (p1_date, p3_date, p4_date)
                  , LEAST (p2_date, p3_date, p4_date)
                  )                         AS second_earliest_date
,     LEAST (p1_date, p2_date, p3_date, p4_date)      AS earliest_dateFor five items or more, I would un-pivot them into separate rows, assign numbers using ROW_NUMBER, then pivot them back into one row.
This assumes none of the items are NULL. If you can't assume that, use NVL to map NULLs to some impossible date (like TO_DATE (1, 'J')) for the sorting, then use NULLIF to map the impossible dates back to NULL for display.
The solution above does not assume the items as distinct.

  • How to sort data in descending order when user clicks on the column heading

    Hi
I have a report called "Top customers", which shows the top customers for a specific product line. It displays the customer name and one column with the total amount spent in the period for each product line. By default, the leftmost product line is sorted in descending order.
If the user wants to know who are the top customers for another product line, they simply click on the column heading to sort the list by that column.
The problem is that when you click for the first time on a sortable column heading, Apex sorts it in ascending order; you need to click on the same column heading again to sort in descending order.
Is it possible to change this behaviour and sort the data in descending order in the first click? So the users don't have to click twice...
    Thanks
    Luis
PS: Apex 3 running on Oracle 10.2.0

    Luis,
See: Can I "catch" a click on a sortable column header of a report?
Take a look at Anton Nielsen's answer with regards to hiding a column and displaying its value instead of the sortable column.
Asumming the following simple report query:
    select product,sales
    from <table>
    Change that into:
    select product
,sales*-1 as reverse_sales -- Select this one as an extra column
    ,sales -- Hide this column
    from <table>
In your report column attributes (of column reverse_sales), html-expression, type #sales#. It then displays the normal sales. However apex will generate a 'order by 2 asc' for the first time. The '2' will refer to the sales*-1 value: sorting it asc, is the same as sorting sales descending...

  • Creation of Z reports for client adding two more column that is Purcahse order and delivery dates with Internal order wise

    HI Experts,
Can any one help me to add two more column for standard report that is purchase order and delivery dates for Internal order wise.
But here problem is when i checked with ABAP team they said there is no standard functional module to add two column.
    Please note below :
Selection criteria is: 1) controlling area
                                  2) Fiscal Year
                                  3) From date and To date
                                  4) Plan Version
                                  5) Order Group.
My client suggested : S_ALR_87012993 this tcode to run, but we suggested with S_ALR_87013019 as in this tcode we can get all the details
That is required output fields, as it is showing all details but on yearly basis, he wants this to be period wise and also Abap team is not able to find standard functional module in the second tcode as well.
Out Put fields to Pop up
    1) Orders.
    2) Budget
    3) Actual
    4) commitment
    5) Alloted
    6) Available
    These are two additional column
    7)Purchase order
    8) Delivery date.
Require your help to know which all tables are included to extract above out put fields please help me.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Sudesh

    Hi Preeti,
Thanks for reply, can you please let me know is there any other way to show the output fields.
As my client is very specific to run the report on period wise, i also tried to execute the standard tcode S_ALR_87013019 and were we are getting all the required outputs to pop up but this is on year wise, but we can also check by period basis by clicking on order number and actual period basis where we can see period basis.
Also one more question, what is the commitment table which is popping up in this, please advise.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Issue with using formatted date value column in order by clause...

    Hi,
    1) Through a function I am listing all the months in a year.
    like JAN-2007, FEB-2007,MAR-2007......
    2) i am comparing these values against a date value column in a table.
And if there are no values in a particular period it will return a null value (simply to say, i am using an outer join)
    3) The issue.....
When join both the queries then the order of the dates is not mainted .....
    My requirement is......
    Jan-2007 = 3
    Feb-2007 = 5
    Mar-2007 = null
    etc.....
    should be acheived.
But I end up in the alphabetical order of the months....
    like
    Apr-2007 = 5
    Aug-2007 = 10
    etc.....
Can anybody let me know how can i acheive my resultant output to be ordered by the date and not by character.
When I use the date column in the order by I run into an error....
    saying....
ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected
    Its a kind of urgent...
    Any help is appreciated....
    KK

When I use a outer join as follows....
    "and upper(to_char(a.task_planned_start_date,'mon-rrrr')) = d.period_name(+)"
All the null periods are ending at the bottom. It's standard behavoiur.
Seems, you need to sort by a.task_planned_start_date.

  • Can Numbers put the dates (in a column) in order if I enter out of order

I am a procrastinator and I have lots of receipts to enter.  If I enter with the dates out of order is there a way numbers can put in order for me.
    Thank you

    Robin,
When you hover your mouse over the column Label area of an active Table, a disclosure triangle appears. Clicking the triangle gives you a menu of column actions, including Sorting the column, either ascending or descending.
Sorting will put your dates in order. The prerequisite is that the dates you enter must be recognized as Date/Time values, not as Text. If you input your dates in a standard way for you region/language, they will normally be properly recognized. One way to test for this is to Select the Dates column and change the date format in the Cell Inspector. If you can freely change the format, for example from "1/1/15" to "January 1, 2015", the sort will be successful.

  • Sales order item First Date

    Hi all,
when ever customer changes the first date they need a pop saying the date has been modified please check it.
can any one tell me when ever SO item level first date is changed any user-exit available to POP-UP the message.
    Regards,
    Abdul gaffar.

    Hello Abdul,
In the below sample coding we compare first date from VBEP in databse with the changed first date on screen.
It is a better idea to put the below coding in a separate INCLUDE and include it inside the userexit_check_vbap form. That way MV45AFZB will have less coding clutter and also in future only the include needs to be changed without needing to lock MV45AFZB (so that more than one project can work on changes to MV45AFZB).
Also remember that popups break BDC's and background jobs, so any popups that you show during sales order processing should also contain checks so that they only trigger in foreground mode with dialog users (sy-batch IS INITIAL - not background job AND sy-binpt IS INITIAL - not batch input  AND usr02-ustyp = 'A' - only dialog user AND rv45a-docnum IS INITIAL - order not created through IDoc)
      DATA: lv_edatu TYPE vbep-edatu,
            lv_ustyp TYPE usr02-ustyp.
    * Sales document is in change mode
      IF t180-trtyp = charv.
    * Get the user type
        SELECT SINGLE ustyp INTO lv_ustyp
          FROM usr02
            WHERE bname = sy-uname.
    * Trigger the popup for only dialog user during online processing
IF sy-batch IS INITIAL AND sy-binpt IS INITIAL AND lv_ustyp = 'A' AND rv45a-docnum IS INITIAL.
    * Get first date from database
          SELECT SINGLE edatu INTO lv_edatu
          FROM vbep
             WHERE vbep~vbeln = vbap-vbeln AND
                   vbep~posnr = vbap-posnr AND
                   vbep~etenr = '0001'.
    * Retrieve the first schedule line from screen that is not deleted
          CLEAR ls_xvbep.
          LOOP AT xvbep INTO ls_xvbep
            WHERE vbeln = vbap-vbeln AND
                  posnr = vbap-posnr AND
                  etenr = '0001' AND
                  updkz NE chard.
            EXIT.
          ENDLOOP.
    * If screen first date different from first date in databse show popup
          IF lv_edatu NE ls_xvbep-edatu.
           "Show popup
          ENDIF.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
To the above poster, it is not better to user userexit_save_document_prepare as this is triggered only during save and many items may have changed. userexit_check_vbap on the other hand triggers for each item that is changed, then and there.
