First time conforming - Not going so well.

Hello All,
I'm attempting to bring audio mixed through STP back to FCP, and things are not going so well.
A few days ago I used the "send to" function, and sent my FCP production to STP. I've spent the time since adjusting volume, fading, removing pops, etc. I'm now trying to conform, or return the mix back to the original FCP production. It's not working. I've taken a few Lynda.Com tutorials, and I seem to be doing things right.
Two things I notice:
1. I notice that the original position and the resulting position all read 00:00:00:00
2. When I return to FCP, there is no mixed track as shown in the tutorials.
I suppose there are a couple questions here, but the main one I have is whether I can link the FCP production that has not been adjusted after the original export with a STP new and improved mix...even if that original link is gone.

If you have followed the standard Apple troubleshooting processes (see user guide )
probably a trip to the local Apple Store Genius bar is called for before warranty runs out
Assuming the iPad has been released in your Country if not you may have to take it to a
neighbouring Country where it is available

Hi there,
I would restart your device and pc, it could also be a faulty USB connector.
Try reinstalling iTunes.
You could also try running iTunes as an administrator (Windows), you can do this by right clicking on the icon and clicking "Run as administrator".
If this still continues, then take your device to an Apple retail store.

Same problem for me.
1. Cannot connect to wifi as icloud password pop up keeps appearing.
2. tried deleting account. UNable to do so.
3. tried resetting password by logging into apple id through desktop as mentioned in one of the responses in another thread. Unfortunately the apple id to be reset is the same as being prompted by icloud and hence unable to reset the same.
Feel like breaking the **** ipad into bits. Stupid of apple to let such a bug in and not offer support !!

Help please - have a Nano and a Shuffle and neither are working! The Nano wheel appears to have stopped working - I can't get it to do anything. I've done the reset,it worked the first time but not since. And the shuffle won't sync with my library!

I have an iPod shuffle 4th generation and an iPod Nano 5th generation . The Nano wheel appears to have stopped working - I can't get it to play or anything. I've done the reset and it worked the first time, but now the only way I can get it to play anything is to shake it and go with the shuffle choices - I can't change volume, song, pause or turn it off.
So, I decided to start using the Shuffle which I was given as a present last year. I've plugged it into my laptop (running windows 8 and newest version of iTunes). It appears in iTunes on the left hand side, but when I click to sync (whether I tick sync all or choose artists) it says synched but has no music. It seems to not be linked to the music library - when I tick synch all songs, next to the "sync music" it says 0 songs?
Any help to fix either would be really appreciated - I'm without any music at the moment and I'm going away this weekend!

First time ever - not a single reply to my question on iPod Photo sync

Well this is a not so exciting record - after 10 years the first time I get zero replies to a question...
Anyone have any comments on why I can't load more than 6000 photos onto my iPod Touch with OS 3.1.3 and with 5 gb of space free on my iPod? I'd like to get some additional photos loaded (and I could do this perfectly before upgrading my Gen1 (Dec 2007) iPod from OS 2.x to the current 3.1.3).
Problem only started after upgrade. I've done a reset; tried lots of ways to sync - but 6128 photos is max...
Any way to manually drag photos into the iPod? (Don't think so). Anyone else having a similar problem?

Thanks VERY much! I believe my settings are the same as I had used when in OS 2.x-- although it seems I've tried everything--
Basically I'm using iTunes to sync my photos to my iPod Touch (not iPhoto)- but of course they are in iPhoto-- 138 EVENTS - I don't really use "Albums" much...
I can get some events to sync by adding them (tickbox, one at a time) and am up to about 6300 photos - but this is not how it worked before -- Previously I selected "Events past 12 months" then checked any additional (say a vacation trip in 2008) and Voilà - it was all there (as long as I had sufficient memory / space on the iPod Touch - and if not just some, not 4 gb of photos were left off.
Thanks for any additional comments - or from any others who have a zillion photos on their iPod Touch and using 3.1.3 especially. But any and all help appreciated!

How to make a program that will ask for a name the first time the program is used and if is not the first time will not ask the name?

I want to make a program that will ask for the ID of the testing machine the first time the program is running, then will never ask for it. I'm using Labview 6.0

There are a Couple of methods you can use for this.
Method 1 -
You can create an ini file and save a boolean Key "First Instance" as True. Now In your Program you read this Key, If it is True then you can show your ID Dialog VI.If False do not run the VI. At the Conclusion of Id Dialog you can update this registry enrty to False. So In effect you have created One time Event. In fact you can save ID as another Config entry.
The Drawback and advantage is that such an INI file can be edited by someone moderately knowledgeable about the Program
Method 2
Use Unitialized Shift Register in A while Loop. Please see LV2 style Globals entry under this forum. You can read and write to this Variable and it retains the Value it last had within it.
You can read
this Global the Very first time and say if it true you display your ID Vi. If False you dont. When you display your ID Vi you can Update your Global Like Before.

Fit to Fill: First time trying, not working

Am working through Weynand's Apple Training Series book for FCP HD (4.5), and stumped on p. 610-611; first time using "Fit to Fill" but not working - neither the section in the Edit Overlay, the green edit button in the Canvas, nor the Shift-F11 (which makes all the screens disperse). I get this prompt: "Edit operation had no effect. Check the target tracks. You may need to open the Source clip into the viewer [already done] in order to see all the target tracks." Something in my settings? Thanks in advance.

Resolved. I had to connect the Source and Destination buttons. There hadn't been a reminder in the textbook.

When tried to login WebConsole for the first time 404 not found error got

We have recently installed MI 7.0(NW2004s) and configured also as per the configuration document. But when we tried to login WebConsole we are getting the error of 404 not found. I donot know what and where I have test to login to WebConsole.
Is there any way how to test to login to WebConsole for the first time.

Exporting from FCP to STP not going so well

Hello All,
I've been working between FCP and STP, sending the audio over to STP for a better mix.
Things have been going pretty well, although the feature of having the export back to FCP and automatically drop in the timeline doesn't seem to work. I do like the greater degeree of control via STP.
Anyway, I am attempting to send another multi-track file over to STP. I'm attempting to do this from the timeline, and not from the browser. To accomplish this, I select all, then choose send from the file menu, etc.
The following is happening:
1. The file send reads, "Exporting XML Data"
2. Then it stops, and a new message reads, "Error sending selection to Soundrack Pro"
Any ideas what might be happening. Is it merely a preference trash in order?

I need to know. Is it my questions, or is this group restricted to FCP internal issues only. I'm always amazed that 25 people have viewed this type of question, but the wealth of experience doesn't toss just one pearl of wisdom.
I think this is FCP related, but perhaps the exporting closes the door on interest.

Reinstall not going so well

I have a dual USB iBook G3 14" screen. It came with Jaguar and I had it upgraded to 10.3.9. Lately it has been hanging with EVERYTHING. It would hang while opening iPhoto, or it would hang just booting up, it would hang while shutting down, all kinds of random hangs. Hardware test said no problems, which surprised me, but so I decided to try reinstalling the OS. I have the software install and restore discs for 10.3.3, so I ran it under 'basic install'. It gets to the part where it is installing languages, (still on the first disc), and then the computer shuts off completely with no message. If I restart it with the disc in, it just offers to begin at the beginning of the installer again. If I restart it with the disc out, I get the blinking mac/question mark folder icon. What does this mean and what should I do next?

Don't worry, I bought and paid for the 10.3.3 discs, they are not bootlegs, they are the full retail version. I used them before, when I originally upgraded from Jaguar. The hard disc was about half full (14 out of 28 MB, I think it was). Here's the latest progress I have made: ignoring the old saying that 'a person who repeats the same actions expecting different results is insane', I agreed with the install disk to proceed with installation again, in spite of having already done this. Again it got nearly through the disc 1 install and shut right down (need I say, it was plugged in to AC power the whole time), and this time I couldn't restart it at all. So I reset the PMU. It then turned on again, but still it either flashed the question mark, or if running off the discs, merely offered to start a new install once more. So for a third time I agreed to basic install. This one made it all the way through, and restarted as a brand new computer, asking me to register and the whole bit. It is puzzling to me though, that if it has wiped out all previous data and OS, why does it still show only about 14 out of 28 MB free? Surely the OS 10.3.3 doesn't take up that much hard drive? Before I poke around in there too much and then upgrade to 10.3.9, does anyone have any thoughts on what is happening here? Thanks!

Install flashplayer 10.2 not going so well

While attempting the install, I receive prompt that "the application is already installed". but when I try to watch video
, I am prompted that I need to install the newer version of flash player (and videos do not play)
. I have uninstalled and received promt that I have completed the uninstall of older version.
so I don't understand why I am stuck...thanks for your help

thanks, Windows Vista Home Premium and IE9 (although I recently download IE9, my computer has acted more slowly and I do not like IE9) The reason I downloaded Internet Exploer 9 was that the system prompted me that in order to run the newest version of Adobe flashplayer (10.2 I believe) I needed
to upgrade IE. Its been downhill ever since, though I am learning a lot
Control Panel shows that Adobe Flashplayer 10.2 is installed in my Programs. Still when I go to play video, I am prompted that I still need to install it. I have restarted browser as well as restarting computer. still no good.
P.S. I am not certain what you mean by listing (ALL?) the files in C drive...

You can always choose to open a file with the NitroX Editor by
right-clicking and choosing "Open With" -> "NitroX Editor".
NitroX does its best to peacefully co-exist with other plug-ins and
therefore does not force itself to be the default editor when it is
installed.
You can set the default editor for your JSP or Struts configuration files to
the NitroX Editor by using Eclipse Preferences.
From the main menu of Eclipse open Window -> Preferences and choose the
Workbench -> File Associations subcategory. Select *.jsp or *.xml files and
you should see NitroX Editor in the list of associated editors. Click
Default to make it the default editor and then click OK to save your
changes.

Is a Premiere CS5.5 download available? I seem to always get redirected to the newest version, which is not supported by my OS. This is for first-time use, not replacement download of an already-purchased product.

CS5 is not for sale any longer if you are looking to purchase it, at least not thru Adobe.
CS6 is still being sold. I run CS6 on a Vista system without any issues. You might try downloading the trial version and see if it works for you.
You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.
