Fiscal Reporting in AP

Hello,
We need to prepare fiscal reports for suppliers in Belgium (fiscal report 281.50) based on PeopleSoft 9.1 Accounts Payable.
As this is not a part of the standard reporting in PeopleSoft we wondering whether you could advise us on which 'customised' program to use to create these reports in an XML output.
Kind Regards,
Stijn

Hi,
You can select the Payment Term at PO Header Level.
When you book an invoice, that Payment Term will automatically defaulted to Invoice.
You can define Payment Term in AP.
Payment terms have one or more payment terms lines, each of which creates one scheduled payment. Each payment terms line and each corresponding scheduled  payment has a due date or a discount date based on either a specific day of a month, such as the 15th of the month, or a number of days added to your terms date, such as 14 days after the terms date.

  • BEX Report on Fiscal Report Year

    Hello Experts,
I have Report Year and Fiscal Period/Year as a characteristics. In one of my BEX reports, I have to use Report Year as moving Year defined by user when they run query. For example,
In selection criteria, user may enter Fiscal Report Year like 006/2001. So, query will collect data for each Fiscal Report Year under column FRY 2002 (starting from 006/2001 to 005/2002); under column 2003 (006/2002 to 005/2003);.........;under column 2005 (006/2004 to 005/2005).
Again, if user enters 002/2001 as a Fiscal Report Year then query will provide data like under coulmn FRY 2002 (starting from 002/2001 to 001/2002); under column 2003 (002/2002 to 001/2003);.........;under column 2005 (002/2004 to 001/2005).
    It will appear like:
              FRY 2002    FRY 2003    FRY 2004    FRY 2005
    1 Month     100        50          200         100
    2 Months    10050     5050       200100     100200
    3 Months    10050200  5050100   20010050 100200100
    and so on.
Total of 12 Months starts from the period that user will give and doesn't follow Jan to Dec.
Can some one please help me how can I define query with this type of moving 12 months total for given char.? Please let me know if you need more information. I will appreciate your help. Thanks.

    - second, in the generated file purchase invoices must appear in positive, but appear in negative. It is a mistake, all documents (sales and purchases) should appears in positive.

  • Using fiscal period and Fiscal quarter reporting seemlessly in a BI Query

    Hi,
We have a very specific issue. Reporting the Fiscal Period( in our
case we have 53 fiscal periods) and Fiscal Quarter( we have 4 quarters)
in the same query seamlessly as we would have done using Calander Month
and Calander quarter in other reports that uses SAP delivered standard
    time dimensions.
However unlike the Calander time dimension (SAP provided all
possible...0CALDAY, 0CALWEEK, 0CALMONTH, 0CALQUARTER, 0CALYEAR) where you have all of these inside your info provider, you can get
aggregation on week, month, quarter etc in your query seamlessly, The Fiscal Year/Period offers a problem in doing report seamlessly.
When we delve into Fiscal realm, SAP only provided with 0FISCVARNT,
    0FISCPER, 0FISCYEAR and a special period 0FISCPER3. It doesn't provide
anything like 0FISCQUARTER etc and rightly so, because you can have
only one 0FISCVARNT in the Time dimension and can have related periods
(0FISCPER) only for a Row of data in your infocube. For example if you need to model as per the Fiscalweek, you can create a custom Fiscal year variant (Say z1) and can configure to have only 53 periods (Mapped to 0FISCPER) representing
53 Fiscal WEEK. Similarly for mapping Fiscal Quarter you can create
another fiscal year variant (Say Z2) and have only 4 periods (mapped to
0FISCPER also in this case) to represent the 4 Fiscal Quarter. However
the issue is that for one record you can only map either of those and
not both since you can only have one Fiscal year variant in one row of
    data in the info provider.
    For example
If I have two rows OF DATA coming from different sources (One FOR
Fiscal Week and another for Fiscal Quarter) I can have the following in
    my info provider.
    1> Example data in Fiscal
    Char1 Char2 0CALDAY 0FISCVARNT 0FISCPER Quantity
    X  ......  y .....10/22/07 ....Z1 ....           43’2007 .......10
    X .......  Y .....10/22/07 ....Z2 ....          Q3’2007 .......20
The issue is how do I report the Quantity in a query in Quarter Q3 as
    (10 + 20 = 30) since both the rows corresponds to FISCAL Q3’2007?
(Please note that Fiscal week 43’2007(For VARIANT Z1 ) actually is
Fiscal Quarter Q3’2007( For Fiscal Variant Z2) as per our
configuration of Fiscal Year Variant configuration Z1 and Z2)
The same is very simple when I have infoprovider with CALENDAR Time
dimensions , for example if we don’t have any fiscal reporting
requirement and just report on calendar time dimension the record in
the info provider would look like the following ( example)
2> Example Data in CALENDAR DIMENSION
    Char1 Char2 0CALDAY 0CALWEEK 0CALQUARTER Quantity
    X ........ y .......10/22/07 .......43’2007 .......Q3’2007 .......10
    X ........Y .......10/22/07 ....... 44’2007 .......Q3’2007 .......20
Here we can use both 0CALQUARTER and get the data aggregated on the
quarter level in addition to the 0CALWEEK.
To solve this issue, One option that we are thinking of Using 0CALQUARTER to represent the
Fiscal Quarter and use Update rule to populate this one. For example
THE example 1 can be as follows.
1A> Example of using 0CALQUARTER along with 0FISCVARNT and 0FISCPER
    Char1 Char2 0CALDAY 0FISCVARNT 0FISCPER 0CALQUARTERE Quantity
    X .......y .......10/22/07 ..............Z1 .......43’2007 .......Q3’2007 ..............10
    X .......Y .......10/22/07 ..............Z2 .......Q3’2007 .......Q3’2007 ..............20
In this case we would populate the 0CALQUARTER by the actual Fiscal
Quarter and then can use both as per example 2 above. But this is not a
smooth option since we have various other info providers to join and
report based on solely Fiscal Quarter etc…
I am certain that this issue have already been solved by somebody as this bound to happen in any finance application.
Would appreciate if we can get some light on this regarding the data modelling, reporting etc.
    Thanks
    Arun G.

You have yourself suggested a solution, which is fine,
Other option is to have a new characteristic Fiscal Qtr in all the infoproviders ans update the same using a routine in the updaterule depending on the fiscal year variant.
for eg. for transaction with variant Z1 in one case you can say if fiscal week 01 between 01 to 13 the Fiscal Qtr should be update with1 and if it is between 14 to 26 then update fiscal qtr with 2 and so on.
For other Variants Z2 you write a different login in the routine ans so on.
so for all the data irrespective of the variant you will have the qtr as either 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 and you can report on this fiscal qtr.
    assign points if it helps.

  • Time Dimension in Dynamic Reporting

When creating a report that compares a current period (for example 2015.FEB) to the same period in the prior year (2014.FEB), what is the best logic to use in a report?  Do I use a local member formula to perform this?  I am willing to build in a property within the Time Dimension table if necessary.
I will probably have the same need to compare current period (2015.FEB) to prior period (2015.JAN) in the same report.
The average user isn't very knowledgeable working with reports besides picking from the context drop down so it needs to be where they pick the current month (2015.FEB) and the report does the rest.
***It should also be noted that we recently switched from a calendar year to fiscal year so it will not work to reference for example Period 2 in each year since 2014.FEB is period 2 and 2015.FEB is period 11 in each year respectively.
    Thanks for the help.
    Steve

    Shrikant,
See attached 4 screenshots of all of the properties that I have in the time dimension.
We only have one hierarchy for time.  As you can see its a little complex going from a calendar year reporting structure to a fiscal reporting structure. 2014 was a "short" year because of the change.
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Oi Bruno
    Em resposta às suas questões:
    1. O CNPJ você pode obter como um campo de base de dados não como variável.
CNPJ: Data u2013 File    -> Choose Administration
Data u2013 Field   -> Choose Federal Tax ID
Para a base substituição tributára 1363 para o valor 1364.
Estes dados vêem do documento 'How to Modify the Nota Fiscal Report' no portal:
    https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_HIER_KEY=701100035871000529280&_OBJECT=011000358700006513702006E&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000183&
    2. Quanto ao endereço do Parceiro esse é apresentado com 1 campo somente, como está no template de sistema, tentar montar não vai funcionar.

  • Post revaluation to selected depreciation area of an asset

    Hi,
We are using depreciation area '01' for posting to GL accounts and '02' for fiscal reporting. It turned out that couple of assets had wrong depreciation key specified for depreciation area '02', which resulted in wrong depreciation calculated for '02' in last 3 years.
We would like to correct it now, once we discovered this issue. One of the ideas was to create new revaluation transaction type which is active only for depreciation area '02', which will only change value of asset in that particuaral area without affecting correct '01',
However, after configuring new transaction type in AO84 and assigning it to '02' depreciation area in OAXJ, when I tried to run ABAW for this asset - it gave me error AA 380.
'Inconsistency between the specifications for transaction type Z11 and for the depreciation areas in chart of depreciation PTI.
Depreciation area 02 is defined (in Customizing), so that it is required to take over values from area 01. However, one of these ares cannot be posted to, due to the specifications in transaction type Z11. This combination is not allowed.'
Is it possible to configure postings only to one depreciaton area? If not - is there any other easy way of revaluating only one depreciation area for an asset.
    Thank you,
    Karol

    Hi Blaz,
Thank you for your reply. I am trying to increase the value of the asset in depreciation area 02, because due to wrong depreciation key it got fully depreciated last year in 02. I want to add the value to 02 which should have not been depreciated in last 2 years. Is there a way to increase its value using ABAA?
    Thank you,

  • Multiple orgainzation with legal entity?

    Dear all,
When I define organizations in purchasing, what are the differences between organization with "GRE / Legal Entity" and organization with "Inventory Organization" & "Operating Unit"?
I have read the oracle documents and I still very confuse all these words?
Does anyone tell me what are the difference?
    Best Regards,
    Amy

Set of Books. A General Ledger SOB, linked to the inventory organization,
controls the financial accounting of inventory transactions. A SOB is made up
of a chart of accounts, a financial calendar, and a currency. The general
ledger secures transactions (journal entries, balances) by SOB.
Legal Entity. A legal entity organization defines the tax and fiscal reporting
level. The legal entity represents the legal company.
Operating Unit. An operating unit organization defines the Purchasing, Order
Entry, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable level of operation. An operating
unit may span multiple manufacturing facilities, distribution points and sales
offices, or it may be limited to a single site.
Inventory Organization. Two flavors of inventory organizations are found in
Oracle Applications. They are defined the same, and both are assigned a set
of books, a legal entity organization, an operating unit organization, and a
location. An item master organization is used for item number maintenance and
validation. This master organization serves as a data repository storing items
and item attributes, master level categories and category sets, master level
cross references, and numerous data defaults. On-hand balances, inventory
movements, and other on-going inventory activities are not performed in an item
master organization. Generally, the master organization is used as the
validation organization for Purchasing and Order Entry. It is recommended
that a single item master organization be defined, even in multiple organization,
    multiple sets of books environments.

  • FI-AA new depreciation area - treatment depreciation previous years

    Hi,
In the FI-AA module , next to the already existing depreciation area 01 for Fiscal reporting with full integration of postings to FI-GL, I have created a new depreciation area 20 for te purpose of Management reporting which takes over its APC values from depreciation area 01 and does only post different Depreciation values to FI-GL.
Subsequently I updated the data for the new depreciation area in teh already existing asset master data records ( different depreciation keys).
The depreciation calculation and resulting postings for the current year are correct.
    However I wonder what will happen with the data for the previous years;
when i look in the asset explorer i do see for the new depr area in the "posted values" tab that it reports for the previous years planned depreciation amounts . However we do not want to post these amounts in the previous years because these years have already been closed and audited.
Will we be able at the end of this fiscal year to changeover FI-AA to the new fiscalyear ( transactions AJAB, AJRW) without the system complaining with error messages that we first need to also perform the depreciation postings for all the previous years in this new depreciation area ?
Many thanks in advance for your much appreciated help.
    Kind Regards,
    Arjan

Can you please tell me how you added the new depreciaton area to the existing asset masters in those classes ?  To get the new depreciation area to show up?  We just did the same thing and we're only working with assets that were acquired this year - but we can't get the new depreciation area added to the assets that already existed in those classes.  If you figured out how to do that it would sure help us out.  I look forward to your response.  We're in 4.7.
    Thanks
    Karla
Never mind found it from reading other posts.  I used AFBN and it worked.  Thanks

2: Get all data sources from R/3 and if in the propose from the Meta data repository and Help really bring me  a good guide to focus in that.

  • Free Trial Valid with 3.0?

The N97 NAM comes with a 3 month free trial of Maps.
I know if I activate Maps 2.0 first and get the free 3 month trial, it transfers properly to the 3.0.
My question is if I upgrade to Maps 3.0 first without activating 2.0, do I still get the free 3 month trial?

At the earliest, it will not be until the end of a fiscal reporting period. They cannot change accounting rules in the middle of a fiscal period, unless they want an IRS Audit (ever have one? It is not fun, even when they end up owing you a larger refund ).
So do not expect a change in policy over night.

  • Closing Financial Year

    Dear All
I am trying to develope an accounting program in Oracle Developer 6i client/server environment.I have certain confusions in it.Can someone please tell me that what happened when we end the financial year?
What happened to the previous year balances? What happened to the Revenues/expenses balances how they will goto the next year?
Can we see the previous years income statements or balance sheets?
I will really appreciate if someone will tell me tips about that.
    Thanks

    Hi there,
ok when you do a year end close , the revenue accounts( that is you Income and expense get set off and update your retained earnings account , based on your balancing segement value(Mostly it will be your company in KAFF segment values in terms of Oracle Financials).
All other balances will be tarnsfered to the next year,It would be advisable to take your Fiscal reports before doing a year end close for an legal entity.
You can always look up your previous trial balance and fiscal reports , by giving a date range correct , so I blv you can view it , but while designing your system,
keep in mind have a seperate table which stores the date, year, natural account segemnts, balancing segments and the amount against each of them , so that when you do an year end close , this table gets updated , and you can always use this table to take future fisvcal reports any time.
    Thanks and regards,
    Gopal
