Fit webpart zone to page size

Hi Folks!
I am trying to remove any space between the webpart zone and the page. I want to make the width of the weppart fit exactly to the page width with no space.

Hi John,
Based on your description, I cannot understand which space you want to remove on the page.
Could you please provide a screenshot of the space which you want to remove on the page?
If you want to remove the space on the right side of the web part zone on the page, then you can change the width of the web part zone to be a bigger value using CSS.
Best regards.
Thanks

  • WebPart Zone in Page Layout not displaying

I have created a new page layout using Design Manager,  two files are created, one HTML file, and the other ASPX file with the same name. You cannot edit the .aspx file directly in SPD, you can only edit the .html file. You will find in the .html all
    those ASPX tags commented.
In the HTML file I added a web part zone, I copied a snippet from the design manager, right after a page content snippet. As shown below.  Saved and previewed the page with no errors.  The Page Content shows up just fine but there is
no WebPart Zone underneath it.?  Any Ideas why it is missing?
    Thanks

  • Have just reinstalled Acrobat Pro XI and the Fit and shrink to page size options are not working - Any ideas?

When printing to a laser device my Acrobat Pro XI all of a sudden was not shrinking oversized pages to fit on paper. The Fit and Shrink to page options did not work. Could still output file reduced by using the percentage box but wondered if anyone else has encountered this problem before? Reinstalled Acrobat but problem still there.

I suddenly have started having this same problem. Anyone have an answer?

  • How do I print multiple PDFs AND fit them to my paper size?

    Hi,
I'm using a 24 inch wide plotter with roll paper. I want to be able to print multiple PDFs  AND fit them to a specified paper size. I can print one page and fit it to the paper, but I can't do it with multiple PDFs.
For example, I have two PDFs that are only 8x8 inches. I want to print them side by side on a 24 inch x 12 inch page size and fit them to size and then FIT them to the page size so the end result will be 2 PDFs printing at 12 x 12 side by side.
I can't seem to be able to do this. I'm sure I was able to do this using earlier versions. As it is, I have to print one at a time and waste half of my roll paper size.
    Any help?
Adobe Acrobat Pro, Windows 7 Proffesional, HP Designjet 111 roll fed plotter.
    Thanks

  • Page size issues while saving Deski report to PDF

    Hi All,
While saving the Deski report as PDF, the page size changes randomly.
    The workflow is:
    Created a report in Deski.
-- Chekced in File | Page setup the zoom size(Fit to Print | Adjust to) is 100% and the paper size is A4.
    -- Saved it as PDF.
-- In Acrobat Reader 7.0, opened the save report, the size of paper is 8.5*11, the normal paper size.
-- In the report in theFile | Page setup, changed the zoom size to anything less than 100% (e.g changed to 90%) whereas the paper size is A4.
    -- Saved it as PDF.
-- In the Acrobar Reader noticed that the page size increases to some random size(e.g 9.18*12.99).
When priting the Document the printer changes the same to A4 resulting in truncating of the content.
The page size should be same but the content size should reduce.
The issue can be reproduced in 6.5 and XIR2 as well.
Is there any workaround for this that the size of the content decrease rather than increasing the page size??

    Hi Sarbhjeet,
Thank you for all your help.
Further to our investigation we found that this is known issue and it is a limitation of the Product, it wont be fixed.
The ADAPT for the same is ADAPT00743734
It is reproducible with XI 3.1 as well.
    FYI...........
    1. PDF Engine will get the rendering information from the busobj. If there is a character size differences between PDF and busobj, there are chances that you may see bigger cells or reduced data in PDF.
    2. In the report when Fit to 1 page by 1 wide in Pagesetup->FitToPrint, the page size will be set to the fit the complete report in busobj.
    3. When save as PDF, this information (increased page size, due to settings in 2) will be sent to PDF Engine. The Engine will try to fit the size into the available standard PDF size (based on Print settings and other combinations). If it tries to fit the report (enhanced page size) to the available size, then we loose lot of information depending on the number of columns and rows.
    4. Shrinking the report in busobj may not feasible.
When we change the page size in Fit to Print (either Adjust to % or Fit to ) , in reporter it changes the page size instead of changing the rendering to fit to the page.
When save the report to PDF, it gets the information with extended page size. So we see the enhanced page in PDF.
Also in order to implement the shrink (instead of changing the Page size), each cell has to be shrieked to the percentage of the reduced page (compared to the original page size). It becomes more complicated when charts come to picture.
I hope the above information helps.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anisa

  • IDCS3 "page size does not fit w margin/column" error when changing bleed

Anyone know the source of this problem?
After deselecting "allow pages to shuffle" my bleed automatically, mysteriously, changes from 0pt to 9pt. When i try to change it back, I get an error: "This page size does not fit with the current margin and column settings. . ."
    This happens on multiple docs.
The problem occurs in both Tiger and Leopard.
    Help!
    Thanks

I'm having the same problem in CS4 when I try to create a document. I zeroed out the margins and gutters too but I didn't have any luck. It's also inconsistent in my case. I can create a document the size of a US business card with a margin of 3p0 but when it get's to something bigger than that but smaller than a letter, no gutter or margin will work.
But that only applies to document creation for some reason. So far, my workaround has been to create a default document and then resize it using the document setup after the fact. It's a pain and it's weird, but that's what I've had to do.
If you've come up with a better solution since your post, I'm all ears.

  • Default Fit page size option does not stay when printing

I have a document that i'm trying to print that goes a bit outside the bounds of the page. This document is produced by a third party software as a receipt, so I went into adobe reader X (10.1.2) and set the page size to Fit instead of Actual size in which it does show it correctly. Close adobe, re-open, just to make sure the setting is still set which it is. Produce the document, try to print, adobe now shows actual size for page setting by default on the print window. I do not get it.
    Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Yes, I am currently trying to find a way to make "actual size" the default setting for all of my print jobs.  No luck anywhere.

  • How to select page size and fit to page size?

i am reading documentation here and feeling like a total dolt.
can someone please remind me how i get my spreadsheet to print to my second printer and to get it to print in tray 1 with the 11 x 17 paper and how i get the spreadsheet to scale to fit this page size?
i can't figure out if i am supposed to select the paper size first in the PRINT dialog but if i do this i can't figure out how to scale it and if i scale it i can't figure out how to get it off of 8 x 11 paper.
oh the conundrums in mac print dialogs ; )

    hi wayne.
i think you have a level of expertise with this software that let's you answer a question in a way that i don't understand. either that or perhaps as a new user my questions are not clear to you.
can you tell me if it is possible to create a SETTING that will let me open a document that is SENT TO ME so that i don't have to run through all these steps just to do what i am asking to do in the title of this post? i mean, i am going to print this explanation out so i can refer to it in the future but i don't want to have to go through all these steps every time someone sends me a document.
i also don't want to have to ask them to format the document as a pdf at 11 x 17 and 12 x 18 every time they send me something.
    does that question make sense?
AFAIK your answer is indicating that i can set up a TEMPLATE that will let me /create/ new documents by using this template and what i am asking is if there is a way to print a document to 11 x 17 or to 12 x 18 with PRESETS as i do in Preview....
    can you help?
    THANKS!

  • Error Message "Some content on the PDF is too large to fit on a single page.

I get the below error when I try to download a response as a .pdf:
Some content on the PDF is too large to fit on a single page.
Please go to the "Design Tab" and adjust the contents, the font-size, or divide the flagged items into multiple elements.
    Any ideas?

Go to the Design Tab and make sure you switch to the Page View (look the bottom right corner of the screen)
Once you see the Page View (used to see what the PDF will look like for your response) scroll down and you might see which object is being trucated (it will be covered by a red rectangle). This often happen if you have a element that is too big to fit on one page (like a single or multi choice field).
You will need to adjust your element so that nothing is trucated.

  • Different page sizes in one pdf file will not scale to print correctly

    Hello all,
I have a pdf document that contains three different page sizes; 8.5"x11", 11"x17" and 34"x22".  These pdf files are custom manuals and we print many of these over the course of a month.
In the older versions of Adobe Acrobat when printing this type of file, I could click print, select the page setup size to 11"x17", then select shrink oversize pages (or fit, depending), and choose paper by pdf page size and I would get the following pages from the printer - 8.5"x11" page would print on a 8.5"x11" paper, 11"x17" on 11"x17" and (most importantly) 34"x22" on 11"x17".  We do this because our printer does not have paper larger than 11"x17" yet the customer also receives a soft copy of the file and many times prints the large pages full size as needed on their large format plotters.
With the newer versions of Acrobat, this will not work.  The only way these files will print automatically is to scale the 22"x34" down to 8.5"x11".   Why would I want to scale it smaller than my largest available paper size?  Also, all of the 11"x17" pages in a multi page size document will come out of the printer rotated 180° yet Adobe shows them correctly when the file is opened.
Also, when I use the settings above, the print preview box shows the document correctly!  The HP technicians have the latest drivers installed and they have shown me where it seems that Adobe is not even sending the larger sheets but instead stops the printing process with an error.  So I try to send a 20 page document but Adobe stops at the first 22x34 page.
We have now lost our old computers with every last old version of Acrobat that I could use to make this work due to mandatory hardware and OS upgrades.  I must find a way to print these documents without individually selecting different pages to print and then trying to assemble the document afterward.
How do I preserve the pages sizes in my document and print the large pages scaled down to the largest paper size I have available in my printer?
    Thanks ahead of time.

    Ajlan,
Thank you for your time.  I am still having the issue.  I am using Adobe reader 11.0.09 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.12.  Neither one have the option in the print menu that you show for a physical printer.  They only offer that option for an Adobe PDF creation driver.
It seems as though the printer you have selected in your menu is only for creating a pdf.  I need to physically print the pdf.  Do you have this same option when you select a physical printer?

  • HP B8850 Page Size Error Printing from Aperture 2 (or iPhoto)

I am trying to print on 13x19 (B+) size paper to an HP Photosmart Pro B8850 printer. I get this error when printing from Aperture --> "Page Size Error: Paper size selected in the print driver does not match the paper loaded in the printer IN tray."
    Aperture 2.1.2
    Mac OS X 10.5.6
HP Photosmart Pro B8800 Series Print Driver 2.3.1
I can set the paper size to 13x19 (B+) in the Aperture print dialog, but under the Print Settings button there is no option for paper size, only paper type. So apparently the size that the printer is expecting in the driver does not match the 13x19 that is loaded in the printer. I was able to verify this by leaving all print settings for 13x19 and loading an 8.5 x 11 sheet in the printer. It pulled the paper through and started printing, but the print was scaled to fit onto the 8.5 x 11!
So in other words, the way I'm seeing it, even though I am setting the paper size for 13x19 in Aperture's print dialog, the printer thinks it's suppose to print on 8.5 x 11.
To make matters worse, there is no Page Setup menu item in Aperture to set the paper size in the print driver directly. I would have assumed that the Aperture print dialog was "smart enough" to pass the page size parameter to the HP printer driver, but that is apparently not happening.
I spoke with HP tech support and they were surprisingly helpful. With their help I was able to print on 13x19 paper with HP's bundled software package, but I had to export my file from Aperture and import it into HP's software. Now that's a good first step which assured me there is nothing wrong with the printer itself, but obviously I purchased Aperture to use it's more elegant and supposedly streamlined interface to make my prints.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Any solutions? Suggestions? I have searched this forum, HP's support forum, DP Review, Google and not finding much. I can't believe I'm the only guy trying to print on 13 x 19 from Aperture using this printer. I suspect it's not printer specific though. Could be my system I guess. I plan on calling Apple Care depending on what type of response I get here.

I don't know if this may help, but recently we had a discussion about problems with Aperture's custom paper size not working correctly:
The solution was to define a paper size outside Aperture:
In any application, for example Preview, try to print something and the print dialog comes up. At this point click on Paper size and choose Manage Custom Sizes. You can define a new paper size here. This new custom size will then appear when you go to Aperture print dialog under paper size. It solved my problems with custom paper sizes here, for some reason (a bug?) defining a custom paper size within Aperture itself did not work correctly for me.

I primarily print photos from Photoshop CS5.  The term Page Set-up has gone missing in the file pull down menu. Can't make any choices  There are no page sizes, paper types, appearsto be locked on a 13x19 size paper format. Either being too large or too small.
Saw a 2008 locked issue about this however none of the help fit my situation, options discussed are not available to me.
Preview has no "Page Setup" - or does it?
Does the constant struggle with computer compatability weirdness issues ever end or is it a enslavement scheme?

    Hey,
if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders.  You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

  • Cannot change page size with acrobat

I am able to convert my manuscript in Mac word(2011) to adobe acrobat (XI); unfortunately the 6 X 9 " page size does not convert. I spent a few hours on the phone with adobe support and the final resolution was to upload the file to them and they converted it for me. however, they used distiller which reduced the file size and appears to have affected the many images. Does anyone have any advice? The best I have been able to glean online is work with inDesign to change page size.

    Thanks.
The problem was with the paper size. In addition to change the page size I needed to change the paper size in the print option before selecting save Adobe PDF.
From Word go to File> Print
Open the Copies & Pages dropdown
    Select Paper Handling
Check the Scale to fit paper size box
Open the Destination Paper Size list
    Select your custom 6x9 Preset
    Click the PDF button
Select either Save as PDF or Save as Adobe PDF
The unfortunate thing is that I was able to do this initially, but when I went back to replicate it adobe is creating 2 files one with my cover page and the rest to the manuscript. Luckily my initial copy was good. Thanks again for your help.

  • Wrong PDF page size in Excel

When I use PDFMaker to "print" the print area of one particular spreadsheet, the Adobe PDF page size is 11.18 x 14.47 inches.
When I use Adobe PDF printer, the Adope PDF page size is 8.5 x 11.0.
    Excel Page size = Letter (8.5 x 11.0)
    Excel Page orientation = Portrait
Excel Page Parameter = Fit print area to 1 page x 1 page
    Selected Printer = Adobe PDF
Selected Paper size in Adobe PDF dialog boxes = Letter
Selected Paper size in PDFMaker Preferences = Letter
When I change the Excel Page Size to Tabloid (11 x 17):
Adobe PDF printer creates a page size of 11.0 x 17.0
Adobe PDF Maker creates a page size of 11.0 x 17.0
Can anyone shed light on the problem experienced by PDFMaker on the Letter sized request?
    I am running:

    MS Excel 2007
    Acrobat 9.1.2
    PDFMOfficeAddin.dll version 9.1.0.0
    PDFMExcel.dll version 9.1.0.0

    Hello everyone!
It's been long since this topic was active but I just wanted to share my solution to a similar problem.
I was trying to use the built-in Save as PDF function of Excel 2007 and my sheet which also had some headers and footers was not coming out correctly.
From Page Layout tab, I clicked the small icon on the corner of the Page Setup. Then I clicked the Header/Footer tab and removed the tick next to where it says "Scale with document" and viola! I miraculously could export my sheet in the correct page size.
May this be helpful to not just who have had this problem before, but also the ones that will come afterwards!
    Cheers!

  • Change page size in Acrobat

I'm working on a newsletter in Acrobat that is 8.5x11, and I need to change the page size to 8.5x14 to fit all of the content and print the larger page. Is there any way to do this in Acrobat? Thanks.

If you just select that paper size and choose Fit in the print dialog the application will do it for you.
If you want to actually scale the page to the new size, including all the content in it, you would need to use an imposition plugin or script.
