Fixing Plug-in Dependencies entries in Eclipse

I have a situation where the Plug-in dependencies entry for the Eclipse plug-in for ALEVS has lost its entries.
Is there a way I can add these jar files back in without having to create a new project?
I've added the jars as external jars under the Libraries tab under Properties/Java Build Path but I'm still getting an error
(org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'org.springframework.osgi.service.exporter.OsgiServiceFactoryBean': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: either 'target' or 'targetBeanName' have to be specified)
when I start the server. I'm assuming that it might have something to do with the plug-in dependencies being messed up..
thanks!
Mike

Yes, this is a problem that has arisen with Event Server tools and likely other PDE-based applications. I just wanted to re-iterate that the easiest way to deal with is to go with the Preferences > Plug-in Development > Target Platform Reload/Apply approach.
Some people have had success using -clean in their eclipse.ini file (or as a command line arg in the shortcut to launch Eclipse). This will clean Eclipse's cache on startup. At the cost of increased startup time, it appears to reduce (but not eliminate) the likelihood of this happening.
Also, which version of the tools are you using? I don't believe the documentation for the GA release has the recommendation to start a new workspace. Perhaps those are the Tech Preview tools?
If that's the case, the GA version of the tools can be found here:
https://dev2devclub.bea.com/updates/wlevs-tools/2.0/
Hope this helps.

  • Flex Plug-in can't see Eclipse Directory

I'm new to Flex, and have downloaded the latest version for
evaluation. I'm trying to install Flex Builder 2 version 2.1.2 as a
plug-in to Eclipse version 3.3.1.1. The install can't see my
installed Eclipse directory, and errors out of the installation
    process. Any help out there?

Thanks for the response. I decided to strip out eclipse
3.3.1.1 and install 3.1.2 according to the specifications on
Adobe's download site. The Flex plug-in loaded successfully, and I
built and ran on the browser - successfully - a couple of tutorial
apps. Now, a day later, those same apps will not run in the
browser. The error message is something like "File not found..."
and goes on to describe a path with \bin\bin in it. There is no
other information. How did \bin\bin get into the launch config, and
how do I fix it? Does the 3.2 version fix these kinds of cs
    problems?
    Thanks for any help.

  • How can I fix plug-ins?  HELP?!

My iMac is OS X (10.5.8), running Safari 5.0.6.  My plug-ins aren't working and I don't know how to fix it.  All the plug-ins and java scripts are enabled.  Our software is up to date according to the updater.  Still somehow, if we try to use YouTube, or watch a video clip on Yahoo or any other site, it says missing plug-ins.  They all say to downlowd Adobe Flash Player, even though the iMac came with Quicktime Player.  We tried to download the Adobe Flash Player, but we supposidly have an existing version in Library; Preference Panes, when I open that folder there's nothing there.  Also when I look in the Internet Plug-ins folder in the Library, there's nothing there.  How do we correct this.  I've tried calling Apple twice and been hung up on twice.  Any Help would be very appreciated.

    1. System Preferences >  Flash Player > Advanced >  Delete  All
         Press the "Delete All" button
         Install Adobe Flash Player.
        http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
        Follow the prompts.   Quit Safari.
        Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
    2.  Allow  Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security
        Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
        Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.

  • Disc Utility says it fixed the invalid extent entry but it lied!

    Hi guys and gals
Just wondering if anyone else came up with this problem:
My powermac G4 running OS 10.2 only starts up to a blue screen and nothing else. I ran Disc Utility first aid on it and it said it had an "invaild extent entry" which it fixed, but the problem is still there.
I ran Nortons Disc Doctor, which never completely finished but freezes about 3/4 of the way through. Can't run Speed Disc because the drive won't mount.
Ran to the Disc Warrior which did fix some bad directories, but then froze at the "Building Report" stage.
Again I may have to suck it up and erase and reformat the drive, but I didn't back up lately (I know I know bad girl) and again there are some important files that I need to get to.
Any help would be much appriciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi htmlneophytea,
    1. disk utility in 10.3.x cannot repair this error. This was only implimented in the Tiger version of disk utility.
    2. Your problem has a name: Norton Disc Doctor! Norton Utilities and Disk Doctor were discontinued more than a year ago (for some very good reasons!). It caused much more trouble than it solved.

  • ? fixing apple sync notifier.entry point not found. Entry point split3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.

Upon computer start up I receive message: procedure entry point split3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the cynamic link library SQLite3.dll.
Apple Sync Notifier.exe Entry Point not found.
    Anyone have solution?

IIRC, This problem happens when you have a piece of software installed that either doesn't properly register the DLL it uses, or is improperly installed.  The draw back is that if that software is runnig when you install the Apple software, the DLL is loaded, and the Apple software doesn't install the DLL because it already finds it, so it doesn't need to load it.  Now you reboot, and the other software isn't running, and Apple can't find it's DLL, so you get the error.
You have a couple of options.  You can find the DLL in your "Program Files"\"Common..." folder tree and copy it to the Apple folder where it is giving you the error, or you could properly register the DLL with your OS so that it knows where to find it when it is needed.  Another option which should work is to remove the Apple software which is giving you the error, perform a fresh reboot (possibly into safe mode) and re-install the application before you launch anything else.

  • Titan Eclipse plug-ins released in open source

    Dear all,
we are happy to announce that the source code of Eclipse plug-ins, after being migrated to ANTLR 4, has been released in github, see https://github.com/eclipse/titan.EclipsePlug-ins,
together with a number of new test ports and protocol modules.
The Eclipse plug-in installable package can be downloaded from https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/titan/TITAN_Designer_and_Executor_plugin-5.3.pl1-opensource.zip
, and it contains all external dependencies of the plug-ins not available in Eclipse directly (not part of an Orbit package).
It is a zipped update site, which , when downloaded , can be unpacked and used as a local update site to install the plug-ins.
With this, the open sourcing project of Titan can be considered completed.
Eclipse Titan consists of the compilation and execution environment, including native codecs for BER , generic binary, generic text, XML, JSON,
    plus a number of utilities for log handling, XML schema conversion etc. (see https://github.com/eclipse/titan.core);
    the afore-mentioned set of Eclipse plug-ins (Designer to assist in developing TTCN-3 code; Executor to control execution from Eclipse;
LogViewer to represent logs in a graphical format; Titanium to assist in code refactoring, code smell detection etc.)
plus a tool-box which at the moment consists of 17 test ports and 33 protocol modules with different encodings and a library of external functions.
Depending on requests, more protocol modules and test ports could be released later.
Titan development will continue internally within Ericsson, but we hope for contributors, either for TTCN-3 code,
or for Titan core/plug-ins and test ports/protocol modules respectively, especially for domains not yet covered by Titan.
On behalf of the Ericsson Titan developer team

  • Printer won't print, fixes won't fix! Reset the printer spooler dependencies to default.

Using a stand-alone Dell XPS 420 with Vista 32 bit and an OKI C1500 printer connected by USB. Always a problem getting the printer going after it has been disconnected, but this time it's a big problem! Get a printer spooler error message and it defaults
to 'use printer offline' so have:
restarted Printer Spooler in Services and set it to Automatic start and set it's Recovery to restart after each failure
rebooted, restored PC, power recycled printer, tried different usb slots, cable works OK
deleted printer driver in case it was corrupt and downloaded a new one
    applied the automatic Fixit programme
applied a fix to prnter dependencies resetting them to RPCSS
None of the above has worked.
Now I would like to know how to reset the default drivers for the spooler and find out the cause and how to fix the problem!
Recently removed a Trojan that hi-jacked 32Rundll and stopped Microsoft Security Essentilals from running.
I need any explanation in slow. simple dorkspeak like 'Step one: press down on the button with B on it'  or I won't understand!
A lot to to ask I guess! Thanks,

    Hi,
o to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.
In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right
Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".
Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".
Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.
Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.
Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.
The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

  • How to install JUnit plug-in in Eclipse

i use eclipse 3.11 and i've downloaded eclipse-test-framework-3.1.1 and eclipse-Automated-Tests-3.1.1 two zip file. i've read the instruction, but still could not figure out how to install.
my eclipse was independently installed in d drive. my questions are
    (1) should i install the above two plug-in inside of the eclipse file?
    (2) should i install both of the files?
    (3) do i have to change classpath or path after installation?
    will appreciate your input....

For every plugin I've used, I just unzipped it in the
Eclipse/plugins directory & it worked fine. If that
approach fails, you probably need to find an Eclipse
forum.I just checked the plug-in details. Java Development Tools JUnit runtime support is built in eclipse 3.11. so i guess i don't have to install again....

Window > Preferences > Portal Development Kit.
Nor is there a PDK entry for Project, Import, or Export as the PDK documentation states should exist after installation. Tomcat and PDK start up without error. Am I overlooking something?
    I'm running:
    Win2k
    JDK 1.3.1_12
    Tomcat 3.3.2
    PDK 5.0.6.0
    Eclipse 2.1
I have set system environment variables for
    JAVA_HOME
    TOMCAT_HOME
    ECLIPSE_HOME
    Thanks,
    Scott

I had previously installed just the Eclipse 2.1 binary.
I uninstalled Eclipse and downloaded/installed the Eclipse 2.1.3 SDK from www.eclipse.org and re-installed peated PDK plugin. Now I see the Portal Development Kit in its proper places in Eclipse.
Not sure what's in the SDK that's not in the binary that would affect this - maybe I just needed v2.1.3. I don't know... but it's working now.

How to fix this issue please?
    Thank you

Looks like its dying on the first line of code in that method. Try checking:
The methods parameters - perhaps compiler doesn't like TextFormat defaulting to null
Or perhaps you're using that default null param and its biting you but misreporting the line number.
Seems like I might have had problems in the past with params, but I think it was with assigning null to a callback function param.
Instead I had it default to an empty class method called NullMethod, or some such.
Other ideas, although these usually apply to compile time errors and not runtime:
Import statements - are you missing one?
Access modifiers - is something trying to call this method that doesn't have access?
Check for syntax errors higher in the file.

What is the best solution to fix this problem without having to reload netweaver?

    Hello Peter,
you should try to find more information about the error. In Error Message: Unable to restore Web Dynpro Explorer I already described how to find more information about DevStudio errors.
As you already are aware of the .log file, only the described third way (-consolelog) might help.
Good luck + Kind Regards, Frank

I had the same problem on Windows XP pro and it was caused by a bad value in 'target' of Eclipse shortcut.
The reference to Eclipse runnable had my machine name included and the problem was fixed when I changed the reference into 'normal' format.
    The bad value:
    \\my_machine\c$\eclipse-SDK-2.1.1\eclipse.exe -vmargs -Xms64m -Xmx1024m
    Fixed:
    C:\eclipse-SDK-2.1.1\eclipse.exe -vmargs -Xms64m -Xmx1024m
Of course there may be other reasons for this problem too...
