Flash and Browser scroll

Hi,
I want a background MC, height [20], width [screen-width],
yposition bottom of the Browser window.
When the visitor scrolls up or down the Browser, this
background clip should always stay on its fixed yposition, at the
bottom of the Browser.
So on Scroll it would permanently update its yposition.
Is this possible?

place your flash in a div and use javascript to detect
scrolling and reposition the div.

hi,
i am trying to find out if there is a way to control the
window which holds the flash movie through flash, for instance,
make it scroll up or down, or somehow control the flash movie to
react the windows position... i have seen it somewhere in an advert
where oranges are being squashed when the flash banner is scrolled
up the window... i wish i had the link to give you an example..

you can use javascript to control the browser window and you
can use the externalinterface class to communicate between flash
and javascript.

My application open a pdf inside the browser and because the pdf has more than one page I have to scroll down or up.
My Issue is that, I have tow scroll bar one for PDF file and one for the Browser how i cancel or hide one of them.

Jerky dock and browser scrolling....launching Maya 2015 seems to resolve the issue...but why?

I've read that other people have had this issue. When I first launch my new Mac Pro the dock gets increasingly jerky/studdery. This continues to the browser or any other scrolling type window. I noticed this the first week I brought my new Mac home. For me the problem goes away as soon as I launch Autodesk's Maya 2015. And it works perfectly until I turn off the machine and start up my next session. I talked to Apple support the first week and ran threw all the usual things they get you to do including re-installing the OS, clearing the ram.....etc.
I've got some time coming up in the next 2 weeks and will probably drop it off at my local Apple store to have it looked over. But, what do you think, is it a hardware issue (just me) or an overall software bug? I'm starting to think it's the graphics cards (D700s).

Nope still nothing going incognito, or doing it through different browsers. I guess the other thing is a an online picture editing program told me I needed to update my flash, so I tried to install it several time but am not sure if it actually did. Now some video players (that had previously worked) command me that I need a newer version of Flash. What happened?

Scrolling of an adf 11g component and tying it to browser scrolling

Is there anyway to somehow defer scrolling to browser from an adf container component. Let me explain to you what i mean.
Lets say I have a jspx page with some content that requires browser to vertical scroll. Now If i create a form in a scrollable container with several input fields and add that container with form to my jspx page, i get two scroll bars (one internal to my page, the other specific to browser). Since most of us hate double vertical scrolling, i was wondering if there was something i can do to in essence add my internal scrolling to the browser scrolling.
It may be impossible to do, but it is a real requirement. Of course i can create my form that is not scrollable and then only browser scrolling will be needed.

I think this requires JavaScript interaction to synch the scrolling with the browser bars. I am not aware of anyone who did this so far.

I create a Captivate from and upload it to our LMS. When employees access the course it takes a long time for it to load. My IT department is asking what is the minimum browser requirements for Captivate 5? Specifically Flash and Java. This is occuring on PC's and a Citrix environment.

There is nothing in specific. When you say it takes a long time, do you mean on the LMS or locally as well?
Try updaing the Flash Player.

Also what objects you have in your project?
Does it have widgets or heavier graphics?

N800 Internet Tablet and Adobe Flash 9 Browser Plu...

The n800 is supposed to have Adobe Flash 9 browser plug-in, but that does not show up on the list of appliations that the device shows are installed. Also, if you go to the Adobe site, it says that the Opera browser does not support Adobe Flash 9. So, if the Opera browser does not support Adobe Flash 9 how can the n800 have it. The reason I want adobe flash 9 is because when I try to play a video on cnn.com, I get a message saying that adobe flash 9 is needed. Can anyone shed any light on this.

On the N800 type about: into your web browser.. this should show microb not opera..
then visit http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
this should show you a Flash panel, proving Flash 9 exists

I have the same exact problem. In my application, we have set HorizontalScrollBar Policy to Auto and On, but it never seems to work.
The problem with my application is, on a smaller resolution screen, I cannot scroll over to parts of the Application, they get cut off by the browser with no way of scrolling to it.
How can I fix that? This seems to be rather difficult. But it shouldnt be.
We've tried to edit the HTML template and add scroll bars there. We can get them to appear but are not functional, and they do not scroll ever.
Does anyone have a real solution to this?

I don't get it. Maybe you have a hidden extension? Those are disabled in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Flash and Alt+arrow key

1. Go to Youtube
2. Play a video
3. Open in fullscreen with mouse
4. Close fullscreen with mouse
5. open again fullscreen with mouse
6. Close fullscreen again with mouse
7. Press alt+left to go back (nothing happens. the focus seems to stay on the fullscreen flash maybe?)
8. Click outside of the flash and on an ampty space on the web page. Press space.
9. Now alt+left works for some reason.
This problem because also affects my mouse. I have configured my mouse to make a web browser, file explorer or any other application navigate back or forward when i tilt my scrolling wheel left or right. This is a very big comfort for me because I don't have to have my one hand on backspace to navigate, or move my mouse onto the back button. And since Firefox takes away this huge comfort, it is very (very very ...) annoying problem.
There is another weird thing but it is not a big problem.
When a text box is focused in Firefox, every time I tilt my mouse wheel to navigate back or forward, a symbol appears inside the text box, before Firefox goes back or forward.

Still the main problem is with Alt+arrow navigation.
Another unrelated thing that i find a little annoying about Firefox is that when I scroll left or right with my touchpad, then instead of scrolling left or right, Firefox acts like I am repeatedly pressing the left or right key. It would be nice if it would just scroll left or right.

[unsolvable] ff 3.6 +nspluginwrapper-flash = flickering when scrolling

Im using nspluginwrapper-flash cuz 64-bit flashplugin was always very laggy for me.
I'm getting pretty annoying flickering of every flash content when scrolling page.
Checked with:
nspluginwrapper-1.3.0-1
nspluginwrapper-flash-10.0.42.34
nspluginwrapper-flash-10_1_p2_linux_121709
+ with removed ~/.mozilla
This problem exists only with firefox, every other browser is working well.
Anybody have noticed something like that? Any clue?

Well... i've just downloaded firefox-nightly 3.7a1pre-3 from AUR, and it seems to be fixed - so maybe in next release of ff 3.6.x it will be fixed also.
Unfortunettly not all of my addons are working ... like firebug - good that im not using it more often.
More important is that NoScript and Adblock are working fine.
But well - it's still not a solution.
Edit: Better make bookmarks backup before switching to firefox-nightly... + nspluginwrapper-flash in unstable with it

I continually get a Java error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and nothing has helped. I've updated flash and Java.

I have used Firefox as my default browser for many years. I've recently started getting a Java error message. It pops up continually. I have updated flash and java. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox and nothing has helped. I have had to start using Chrome instead of Firefox which I don't care for but I don't have the java error with Chrome. How to copy a playlist from iTunes to a USB (keeping artist song name etc) and the files to listen and browse in a jeep hard drive

I made a music playlist on my iTunes, perfectly ordered. I get a car with a USB input to get the songs in the car hard drive, My question is: How can I copy the playlist (with artist, song etc) with the music file (but with the name and artist instead of the file name) in the usb so I can copy it and browse it in my car?

This would require renaming the files on the computer.
iTunes is not going to do this magically when copying files to the flash drive, iTunes does not even copy/sync files to a flash drive.

What's With Flash and IE7 ?

I have noticed a number of posting of Flash and IE7 troubles,
but they are not close enough or succinctly worded enough to suit
me to glom onto their post with my problem, and I noticed that the
ones who have a problem similar to mine are not being answered. So,
I take it that there is definitely a problem with Flash and IE7,
but no one knows the answer and Microsoft has not risen to the
problem of dealing with a problem that affects hundreds of
thousands of users. I have posted the following on a Microsoft
forum, but have received no reponses there as of yet. Hopefully the
Flash gurus here will be able to rise to the occasion more quickly
than their Microsoft IE counterparts.
If you look at the home page for

using FireFox or IE 6 (with security settings lowered), you'll
notice a scrolling flash text box at the top, and an exact
duplicate of that text box at the very bottom of the page.
If you use IE 7, the one on top does not show but the one on
the bottom of the page does. These two Flash boxes are identical in
every way.
I have toyed with my IE 7 settings to the point where IE was
screaming at me that the world was going to come to an end due to
my low security settings, and still the one on top does not show.
What ever could be the problem with this?

Nickels55, you are correct....mostly.
One of my acquaintances busted into the weather.com code and
sent me the source. After much trial and error, I found that by
removing the STYLE block completely, I no longer had a problem. I
even tried removing the styles between the STYLE block, but that
didn't work. I had to remove the STYLE tags, too. I tried linking
out to a style page to no avail , btw.

What's really weird is that this problem only affects the
Flash code ABOVE the Weather.com widget (you would think it would
affect below, but such is not the case), and only in IE 7.
