Browser Scroll Bar

I would like to have my swf fill the browser window and but
incorporate a scroll bar in the browser window that scrolls the
flash contents. Similar to this...

I have the same exact problem. In my application, we have set HorizontalScrollBar Policy to Auto and On, but it never seems to work.
The problem with my application is, on a smaller resolution screen, I cannot scroll over to parts of the Application, they get cut off by the browser with no way of scrolling to it.
How can I fix that? This seems to be rather difficult. But it shouldnt be.
We've tried to edit the HTML template and add scroll bars there. We can get them to appear but are not functional, and they do not scroll ever.
Does anyone have a real solution to this?

PDF Scrollbar and Browser Scroll Bar

My application open a pdf inside the browser and because the pdf has more than one page I have to scroll down or up.
My Issue is that, I have tow scroll bar one for PDF file and one for the Browser how i cancel or hide one of them.

Browser scroll bars

Hello all!
I have a spark application that is 100% width and height but also has a minWidth and a minHeight.
I need it to show the browser's scrollbars when the browser window is smaller than minWidth or minHeight but I just can't do it!
Any hint, please?

When you set a width/height on a Flex application that value is then used as the width/height of the SWF in HTML (via JavaScript). You can see this by looking in your bin-debug folder at the HTML file that is generated for your application:

The 100%, 100% in the JavaScript code listed above is setting the width/height of the SWF. Notice that minWidth/minHeight isn't reflected at all in the sizing and I believe that is because there is no way to define it consistently across all major browsers (if I remember correctly IE6 doesn't fully support it).
If you think this would be useful I would suggest filing an enhancement request (http://bugs.adobe.com/flex).
In the mean time you might want to look into...
- learning about the CSS min-width/min-height styles
- writing some custom JavaScript/CSS that detects when the SWF size goes below your minWidth/minHeight and at that time uses JavaScript to change the size of the SWF to the minWidth/minHeight instead of 100%, 100%.
- using Flex scrollbars instead of browser scrollbars

A horizontal Scroll Bar appears when it shouldn't - how do I get rid of it?

Operating System: WIN 8, 8.1
I am using a website (ribbon.me) which has a built in horizontal bar on its Explore TimeMap (basically a combination of a map and calendar into a single tool) that users can grab with the cursor / mouse to move the date forward or backwards in time. There is NOT supposed to be a "standard browser scroll bar" but one is appearing in Chrome. It only appears on my brand new computer...on my old Windows 7 computer, using latest Chrome, the scroll bar doesn't appear. (Even in Internet Explorer on the new computer, the scroll bar doesnt appear...but I dislike IE and LOVE Firefox) How the heck do I get rid of this scroll bar?

PCUI HTML viewer Scroll bar

Hi,
We have a custom HTML viewer as one of the tab in PCUI application.It conntains a vertical scrollbar within it. That means while accessing the page we have two scroll bar one is browser scroll bar and another is within the tab.We don't want the scroll bar within the tab.
If we check standard html viewer tabs ( configuration tab in orders, Questionaire tab) inside scroll bar is not present.
How can we remove the additional scroll bar.

Sorry for bringing up this old topic.. but I did not find any other solution in the forums for my problem:
Currently we are using the PCUI HTML viewer to display a seperate BSP Application on a tab page. Everything works perfect, exccept the fact that I always get the user authentication pop-up when accessing the tab where the html viewer is embedded. Strange thing is, that we are using SSO. If the user logon fails I get an error page, but after that when selecting the tab again the bsp application is displayed correctly without authentication.
Has anyone experienced the same behaviour ? Did i miss something to implement in the BSP ?

Scroll bar colour

Does anyone know the clever trick to turn the scroll bar down
the left of the persons web browser transparent or the same colour
as there background, or better still rid of it. Basically i have a
block of text under my main home page icon, there only for google
ranking and i dont want people to scroll down as it doesn't read to
well iut's just stacks of cool buzz words that google likes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Trying to fool Google is not a good idea.
2. You can't get rid of the browser scroll bar.
3. Then, there are many ways to have text in your code (that
will be indexed by Google), without
showing that text on your page.
For example:
<div style="display:none;">all the text you want here
for search engines</div>
This will be invisible to the user, but visible to search
engines.
You can also place your text in a div that will show in the
page, but NOT expand to accomodate the
text size:
<div style="height:200px;overflow:hidden">all the text
you want here for search engines</div>
This won't create a scroll bar, and the text will desapppear
below the specified height of the div.

at fooling its fair and objective

Webpage cuts off, no scroll bar.

Hey,
I'm a beginner so please take it easy on me.
I'm trying to create a website for my wife. Everything is completed and it looks great. The only problem I'm having is that when my wife goes to view the websit on her computer (much smaller size). The page cuts off and there's no scroll bar feature which I thought was like a fixture on websites. I've been looking for hours on how to add a scroll bar to my entire website .. like the standard browser scroll bar but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Can someone here please help, I'd be much obliged. I have two files, one is the index.fla file which i used to create my page in using Flash CS5 and the other is the index.html file which I can edit in Dreamweaver.

I just wondered if this was resolved. I am having exactly the same problem with the same template. I have tried every combination of settings in the publish settings but cannot get the scroll bars.
The only way I have got to get it to work in any fashion has been to publish the page then rename the flash page created (index.swf) to flashmo_188_chrome_black and copy it to a fresh directory conatining an unedited version of the template. This does not really resolve the problem. It seems that the html file I create after editing the template is different to the file that comes with the template.
Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated

is bigger than the movie clip.
I have my publish settings set at 100% and becuase of this it

The scrollbar can be placed on a separate stacked canvas, the same dimensions as the scrollbar. Then the canvas can be shown or hidden.

I would like to know it it's possible to change the scroll bar from the right part of the firefox browser, to the left part and, if it's possible, how can it be done. Thank you!

The scroll bar (the one used to scroll up and down any kind of website), that is normally in the right part of the firefox browser, would be of much help to me if it could sometimes be moved to the left part of the browser. Is this possible? How can it be done? Can anybody tell me the exact steps to take in order to do this (if it is possible of course)? This would be helpfull to me, since I think that the firefox scroll bar is overlaping the scroll part of the facebook chat sidebar, since I just can see a few people on this facebook chat sidebar and I can´t scroll along it, as I could a while ago. So my guess is that the firefox scroll bar is covering the other. In order to solve it in a simpler way, I guessed that if the firefox scroll bar could be moved to the left side of the browser, this problem could be solved. So, can anybody help me?

Yeah what i wanne to lets say a simple page half to be white then a red line and then
down to be black.
But what i wanne to is that this red line that i wanne cross over my html page,from the left to the right,but when the people changing the resolution ,in more that i have ,wish mine is 1280 with 800,
to not appear the horizontal scroll bar from the browser never, something like you said with repet.
i know is a bad idea with the layer ,but was only for exemple.

Slide Show on Home Page Creates Scroll bar in browser...

I have created my site, and at the tope of it I have a hero Slider Composition with text in it. But, when I view it in the browser, it scrolls to the right. But, if I delete the composition slide show, the scroll bar disappears. Firstly: Congrats on a very cool web design!!
I had a look at the site, and think that what you are seeing is expected behaviour. You have little control over the width of the browser window a viewer might have set when they are viewing your web page. It can be narrower or wider than the page width you set in Muse:
When the browser window is narrower than the width of the web page, the scrollbar at the bottom for right to left movement appears.
When you make the browser window wider than the width of the web page, the scrollbar will disappear as the full width of the page is displayed.
In contrast, if you were to look at the page on an iPad in landscape, the width of the page will snap to the width of the browser window, as mobile browsers behave differently to desktop browsers.

Frames missing scroll bar in browser

I have created a webpage index.html that will be my main page
on the web with three frames on it. The top frame will hold the
name etc… and the bottom one will hold about 100 small size
jpeg pictures that will be linked to display the larger size in the
middle frame. So only the middle frame will have its content change
based on the clicks on the small jpeg in the bottom frame.
The problem is when I browse my index.html in the browser (
IE or firefox) it only shows 7 or 8 small jpegs on the bottom and I
can’t see the rest of my small jpeg in the browser since
I’m missing the scroll bar to get to the rest of the small
jpegs. In dreamweaver it works fine but not in the broser.

Missing scroll bar in browser

Hi, I got a very simple flex app which has a height that is bigger than the default height of the web browser. When it was run in a browser (had been maximized and both IE and FF had the same problem), sadly there was no scroll bar and thereby the bottom part of the flex app was covered and unviewable. Please help.
