Flash CC 2014 14.1.0.96 Crashing on attempt to debug in iOS Simulator
Just like the title says, Flash CC 2014 14.1.0.96 is completely crashing every time I try and debug my project in the iOS simulator via the Debug > Debug Movie > On iOS Simulator command. I have XCode version 6.1 installed. The simulator never opens - Flash crashes while the "Publishing..." progress bar is showing, after about 5 seconds.
I've tried the following iOS Simulator SDK paths in the Air 14.0 for iOS Publish settings:
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SD Ks/iPhoneSimulator.sdk/
and
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SD Ks/iPhoneSimulator8.1.sdk/
But both cause Flash CC 2014 to crash completely.
I should note that Publishing directly to my iPad works properly. Flash only crashes when trying to debug in the simulator.
The crash generates a rather lengthy error report. Here's the top part of it:

Flash CC 2014 fees associated with publishing an app on both android and IOS platforms
I have a client thats wants an app done, the app would best be created in Flash CC 2014 as it based to run like a book with buttons on each page for a viewer to click. The viewer clicks the button of thier choice on each page and at the end of the book if the score is over 1000 a bonus page will appear, if its under it will say try again.
Client needs this in both IOS and Android so I need to know the extra fees associated with this
my fee for creating ( I know)
Android certificate fee?
IOS developer fee 99.00 ( I know)
Did I miss anything is there a fee to go from Flash to AIR?
plz advize'
thanx'MDmatthewdee wrote:
Ok so , my fee and the Apple developers fee if the client wants to sell in App store or not, correct?
correct.
But NO android fee ONLY id developer wants to seek in lets say Google play correct?
there's no android license fee needed to develop for android. there's a fee to upload/list apps with amazon marketplace and google play. -
Flash CC 2014 java crash when trying to publish in Yosemite 10.10.3 beta
I have a colleague that chose to install the latest Yosemite 10.10.3 beta on their Mac, and now when they try to publish in Flash CC 2014, the bundled jre 1.7.0_10 crashes.
If there is an issue with the beta and the bundled jre 1.7.0_10 inside Adobe Flash CC 2014.app,
Is there a clean way of alternatively using an external jre (like the System java 1.6.x) or replacing/updating the bundled 1.7 jre with a newer 1.8 jre to see if this avoids the crash?
Is there anything custom about the bundled jre inside Adobe Flash CC 2014.app?

Flash Pro CC 2014 crashes on debugging in iOS SDK 8.0
Hi,
Flash Pro CC 2014 crashes on debugging in iOS SDK 8.0
This is the path to the SDK:
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SD Ks/iPhoneSimulator.sdk
Is also crashes on:
same path/iPhoneSimulator8.0.sdk
Anyone knows a solution to this?
Had the problem before with the former Flash Pro CC and older SDK.
But didnot really need it.
Any help is greatly appreciated. They are looking in to it. Follow this thread:
Problem to access iOS Simulator from Flash CC -
Impossible to launch Flash CC 2014 - and worst CC experience ever
Hello,
Let me explain the process here :
I launched Flash CC (not 2014), which I haven't launched since a long time. Then I opened a new AS3 document. And tried to use the brush tool. I selected a brush size. And then it crashed. Yes only that...
Adobe displays a message after crashing saying that they have a solution for this problem of crashing. Cool I think ! I click on the link, but arrive on the new creative cloud 2014 apps.A bit disappointing, but I think that the problem is resolved with Flash CC 2014.
So I download Flash CC 2014. And launch it. And it crashes.... Ok maybe it is a bad install. I restart the computer.
But then Creative Cloud asks to install the new CC Desktop app. F***. It begins to be a bit long to just use Flash !!... (Ok, I can use Flash at this point, but I need to synchronize my files, so I need CC desktop app. Anyway, I don't understand why I should download the latest version as the version I use works great : synchs my file, install fonts, and install softwares, which is the basics I need from Creative Cloud)
Ok I start to reinstall CC Desktop. But it fails !!! Yes F******** !! Error 43. "contact the consumer service". Ok I click. And I arrive on the Creative Cloud Help. BUT WHERE IS THE MESSAGE FIELD I NEED TO SPEAK TO ADOBE ???? OR THE TEL NUMBER OR WHATEVER ??? Where is the consumer service ??? Nothing ! I have to search inside all these forum links and help and find the good link to contact Adobe. WHAT A MESS ! But Adobe is not available. We are friday. I have to wait until monday. But I CAN'T !!!
Yes. Let's calm down a bit. I uninstall CC app. Restart. Redownload CC desktop app. Ok, but where is it on the Adobe website ?????? There are all apps visible everywhere (photoshop, illustrator...) but NO CC desktop APP !! I end up finding it somewhere (i don't remember where), and reinstall it. IT WOOORKS !! youhou. I notice that this new version doesn't do much more than the previous one : synchs files, install fonts, and install softwares. Oh, ok, I can go to the marketplace ! Ok, but, is it an essential feature ? I don't think so... I could have lived with the previous version and save some useful time !...
Ok but but but but.... CC app redownloads ALL my creative cloud files (3 GO) although my folder is already there in my computer, all at the latest updates !! Nevermind... I'll wait. It is already 1 hour I'm fighting with Adobe. So I can go on wasting my time with PLEASURE !!
Ok. Pfiou. Maybe Flash is working now ? Why ? Why not ? But no... Still not working... But there is a message from adobe saying they have a solution for this specific bug. Ok I click on the link. I arrive on "adobe.com". What a joke it is...
So I need a solution, please. How can I do to make Flash CC and Flash CC 2014 work on my MacbookPro 2010, with Mavericks 10.9.3 ?
Thanks
These steps are to describe how BAD the experience is with Creative Cloud at this moment, especially for the support feature. Please make it better. Really better !
And please resolve my problem with Flash CC 2014, which is the first aim of this post. It seems like there are a lot of cool features I don't need but would be pleased to test. The best would be to be able to open the software of course...Hi Alesclandre,
I apologize for the frustrating experience. Can you send me your Adobe ID, location, and contact details (phone, email ID) over a private message? Click my picture and use the message option.
Thanks,
Preran -
An alert appears saying "Unknown error; quitting application" and when I click "OK" the app quits.

Copy+paste issues in Flash CC 2014
Is anyone else having trouble copying and pasting code in Flash CC 2014? I typically work with smaller code blocks and then merge them into a master file, but that requires copy+paste. When I copy, it appears to copy (paste becomes highlighted) but I cannot paste in any way into the code. it's not working between documents, and not even working inside a single document.
Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be appreciated.
- Just confirmed, switching back to Flash Pro CS6 works just fine with copying and pasting, as long as the content on the clipboard is copied from Flash CS6 and not CC 2014. I cannot copy anything from Flash CC 2014 into another Flash document. It's in the code area, and I tried pasting it (didn't show anything) and then executing the code, and it didn't do anything.
I then tried creating a text area on the page, and went to the Edit menu - and "Paste Special" was the only available option. So I tried that, and it says "Source: Unknown Source" and the only option I have is to Cancel.
I then went into Flash CS6, and copied a line of code from that. I tried pasting it into the Flash CC 2014 actions console, and it did nothing. I then went back to my text area (still in Flash CC 2014) and it pasted the code in there fine.
So, it looks like I still cannot copy from or paste into the actions panel Flash CC 2014, which is what I need. But, maybe this sparks another idea? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. -
How can i fixed this error in opening my file "An error occurred opening file" in Adobe Flash CC 2014
my file is still 15,103KB so is there any other way to recover this?Guys I solved my own problem already by the help of this post.
Re: Corrupted save file for no reason
thanks to user Kglad -
I just downloaded the trial for Premiere Pro CC (2014), and the program keeps crashing every time I open or create a new project. I can idle at the "Startup Screen" but as soon as I open a project the program closes without warning. I've re-installed all Adobe products I have, re-installed the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 and 2013 to get new MSVCR110.dll files (which seems to be the file causing the crash) but nothing is helping. I've also looked in every thread I've found on this forum and a lot of people seem to be having the same problem, but no one had got any answers for how to solve the problem.
Anyone have a clue on what to do? According to others formatting the hard drives don't seem to solve the problem either.

Flash CC 2014 publishing Adobe AIR 17 - use captive or shared runtime?
I developed an app using Flash CC 2014, In IOS I had to upgrade to the builder and I got the function to work, but now I have the same app and need to develop for Android. I created a separate fla and did the following
Used Android 17.0.0.96
added the general info
created the p12 now I have the option to choose captive or shared runtime. I get warnings about each when I publish so I have to publish this app to GooglePlay and need to know the procedure as I'm on a Mac and I see procedures involving code when doing this on a windows machine.
Can someone help me out here?
RI would recommend to use "Captive".
Difference is pretty simple...
Shared Basically means that it compiles the "apk" without the Adobe AIR runtime, resulting in a smaller file size apk but REQUIRES users to have the "Adobe AIR App" installed.
Captive means that it compiles the "apk" with the Adobe AIR runtime, resulting in a larger file size apk but DOES NOT REQUIRE users to have the "Adobe AIR App" installed.
If you want to Guarantee everyone can run your app, use captive. If you want to rely on users to hope the have the correct version of AIR installed to view your app, use Shared. -
Get AIR runtime in Flash CC 2014
Hello!
Please could someone tell me about why can no longer in Flash CC 2014 choose the option to "get the AIR runtime..." for Android?
The checkbox appears disabled and it seems that now is only possible embed the runtime.
Thanks.
TiagoHi kglad.
The path was already appointed to the folder: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC 2014\AIR13.0.
I am creating a file based on AIR for Android, but when configuring to use a runtime, I would choose the option of getting the runtime.
But this option is disabled, only allowing me to embed the runtime.
As I understand it, from the AIR 3.7 only the option of embedding is allowed, but this makes the final app size increase too much (> 8 or 9 MB).
I wonder if there is any way to be able to choose the option of get a runtime from a store as was possible until AIR 3.6.
Thanks.

I've purchased Flash CC 2014 and it is asking for the serial number, where can I find it??
you don't use a serial number with your cc subscription. you use your adobe id.
close flash > open your cc desktop app > sign out of your app > sign back in to your app being careful to use the exact adobe id you used to subscribe to cc. > open flash pro. -
Adobe Flash CC 2014 Code Hint - Unable to build code hint cache...
Hello! I just downloaded and tried to use Flash CC 2014. Code Hinting doesn't work! So I tried some way to bring it back. And the following solution worked:
1. Quit Flash
2. Delete Code Hint Folder: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CC 2014\en_US\Configuration\CodeModel
3. Open Flash and create a new document. Edit => Preferences => Code Editor. Change "Cache Files" to 1500
4. write: import<space>
You should see that warning: "Building Code Hint Cache...". If not, press Ctrl + <Space>
5. Wait 1 minute and enjoy your code hinting
Hope this help for someone...
(Sorry for my poor English)I have the very same problem, Im on OSX though (Mavericks), but I found the CodeModel folder in Library/Application Support/Adobe... and deleted it.
Followed all the steps and nothing still happens when I type import followed by the spacebar. I havent seen any "cache being built" messages.
I have the latest version of Flash CC 2014 according to my CC manager.
Please help, coding suddenly became really difficult.
Regards
Edit: I have also not deleted the "." folder in the Source Path
