Flash Crashes when activating WebCam
I'm having a problem across all 3 browsers (IE, FF and Chrome) where Flash will crash when I try activating the camera for recording video (and audio).
It doesn't seem to matter what webcam I have installed (I've a few to choose from) and even crashes when there isn't a webcam installed.
It seems to be failing when doing a search for an active video source.
When IE crashes I get this data for the Error signature.
EventType : BEX P1 : iexplore.exe P2 : 8.0.6001.18702 P3 : 49b3ad2e
P4 : unknown P5 : 0.0.0.0 P6 : 00000000 P7 : 06371370
P8 : c0000005 P9 : 00000008
I installed and ran Adobe Flash Media Live encoder - and it doesn't crash so it's something about the browser plug-ins that's failing.
Any suggestions?
I have the same problem. As soon as the prompt comes up asking for permission to access camera, I click allow, then crash. Every time. Every browser.

Adobe Flash 10.1 web Player Crashes when Activating Webcam
Hi Everyone,
I installed 10.1 Adobe Flash Web Player for Firefox, IE, and Chrome. We have applications we use where it activates the webcam and the mic and now when I click accept the flash player always crashes. I have made all the changes asked of me from the support forum including uninstalling the flash player and reinstalling it. I also tried installing the 64bit flash player and using IE 64 bit on my laptop and it still crashes. It prompts you to allow flash to activate my mic and webcam and when I click accept it always crashes. This did not happen with the previous version of flash. I have looked for new drivers for my computer and there are none, I have tried so many times to fix this with no luck. Can anyone please help me as I did not have this issue until 10.1.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I also am running firefox 32bit and IE 64bit and none of them work. I have uninstalled the 10.1 flash player and reinstalled it with no luck. Please let me know what to do. I even did the firefox (-1) option to shut of the firefox flash protection they have. Please please please help this is very frustrating. Thanks!Hello there.
If you're having a problem with a specific plugin, you need to contact its author for support. If you have problems with all your plugins, then it's a different matter. Is that the case? -
Adobe flash crash when I try to upload photos to created album on Facebook . Is this related to the new version of Mozilla Firefox that I installed few days ago.
== This happened ==
Not sure how often
== This morning July 18th 2010Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC. -

*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

Flash crashing when using Command + Option + S for Scale and Rotate?
It's happening to me when I use those hotkeys
Please let me know if it's happening to you too.
I don't know the cause but I need a fix.
I'm using Adobe FLASH cs6 for Mac
My computer:
Mac mini
Mid 2011
Software OS X 10.8.1 (12B19)
-LineWith all due respect to your totally coindescending reply, this is a bug in Flash. Happens every 4-5 times I use that menu item. Been happening for months, but we just installed a Brand new iMac (1/13). Quadcore 3.4 16G RAM and 1TB Fusion drive. Fresh install of CS6. Not running any other 3rd Party Software. Problem STILL happens in new Flash docs with small, simple vector Graphics.
So instead of blaming the users computers, how about you guys just fix the effin' problem? Thanks. -
Skype Desktop Crash when starting webcam
I got a brandnew dekstop with Windows 8.1 and when starting Skype, it let me log in and then immediately crash. This only happens when the Webcam is active. I have tried two different webcams, one from logitech and one from Creative and both resulted in the same issue. When installing an older version of Skype (6.14) it works.
I have applied all Windows patches and updates over the last few days and check all the drivers to make sure there aren't newer drivers available and everything is updated now. Any other ideas to get Skype to work?
I also ran dxdiag and attach the file if this will help.
Regards
Abraham

Flash crashes when opening certain file
Hey Guys,
I need some big help here...I have been working on the same file for the past several weeks and now when I open it, flash crashes. I have tried opening it on multiple systems with different operating systems. Nothing is working. Any ideas?
I am using CS4 on a MAC.
Thanks!Hi Joseph,
I've looked into your file and it looks like what ever you have on Layer 7 causes Flash to crash. Once I remove that layer then the file open without issue. If you want a copy of the restored file, please send me an email at [email protected] Make sure to include a link to this thread in your email so I can relate back to this message.
Thanks,

Hi Tim,
I’m experiencing the same issue, but for me it still crashes as guest. I’m hoping someone will have a suggestion. I’m very new to the flash world (in fact I’m taking a class now and wasn’t able to do my homework), so if you get any responses or discover any useful information please let me know.
Thanks,

Flash crashes when I backspace in a blank TextField while editing a library symbol.
Steps to reproduce. Reproducible every time.
Open Flash CS6, draw a big (classic, input) text field, convert it to a library symbol, then remove the symbol from the stage.
Go to the library, double click the symbol you just created in the library to edit it, then double click the text field to edit the text (currently blank).
Press "Enter" key ten times to make ten blank lines, and then press the backspace key ten times to delete the lines. Flash crashes upon the tenth keypress. If by chance it doesn't crash right away, just press enter a few more times times and backspace an equal number of times and it will crash.
I took a video of it happening at least 3 times. I was editing a project file, trying to make a field just big enough for ten lines by creating the blank lines and dragging the text field handle to resize it, but it was crashing when I tried to remove the blank lines.
Since I was able to make it happen on a brand new file drawn from scratch as well, I figured it was a serious bug and not just a problem with the file I was working with. Also, it seems to occur only when the textfield's type is "input". It stopped happening if I changed the type to "dynamic".tried emptying cache, had no effect, safari is basically unusable at the moment, using firefox with no problems, i'm thinking that i should do a clean install of leopard as when i installed I upgraded tiger

Flash Crash when exctracting fla to swf
Hi,
i'm having troubles with Flash (8 or CS3) on a New Dell
computer i juste recieved.
i'm having a crash when exctracting a .fla in an .swf file.
even if the .swf works correctly in the back of the error
message when you try to use the soft ignoring the error it closes
itself as soon as you begin a new action.
The problem always happen with few specifics fla files and
randomly with others.
The problem only occurs on this new Dell i recieved
(optiplex745),olders one works fine.
Excuse my poor English I'm French.
See ya!When you select to use RAM or disk to render with, if you're using RAM try selecting to use DISK instead and make sure you have enough space available for the final file. If you're exporting anything near HD size with no compression then you should have potentially hundreds or thousands of GIGS available for your animation.

Flash Crashing when trying to publish as .gif...
Adobe flash keeps crashing when I try to publish the animation as a .gif; I've tried both on the Windows CS4 and on Mac's CS4.
It's a simple animation without any coding or sounds or buttons and abour 450 frames at 19 f/s and I have no idea why it keeps crashing.
Anyone else had this problem/know how to fix it?Hi Zak,
Thanks for getting back to me, I have never had this problem before, it happened when I upgraded to the latest version, I know that this website is quite large and there are files in there that are unlinked and up sampled but I have always had this message. I had problems in the past of Muse taking a long time to respond, but that was due to my computer. The latest updates are not major, just three pictures and some text. This is quite urgent as there are some modifications that I need to do asap.
Thanks
Ellen

Flash crashes when I try to 'Trace Bitmap'
Hi
I'm trialling CS4, and have found that Flash hangs when it gets 3/4 way through tracing a line drawing bitmap. I tried another bitmap, and the same thing. I then tried a bitmap of large block text, and that traced fine.
In the first two cases, the tracing processes fast, but stops abruptly 3/4 through.
Anyone else encountered this?
Cheers

Why Flash crashes when I stream video of my webcam?
Hi, I have a Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 and everytime I enter in a flash chat (like justin.tv) and try to send video of my webcam, it starts to stream video and then it crashes in about 5 seconds.
I've searched a lot at google for a solution, but i haven't found anything that works. And this only happens in Linux.
Here are my logs and information so maybe someone can give me a help:

What may be wrong? My webcam works fine with applications like xawtv, i can even record video. The problem is with flash plugin. Every time I try to send my video it crashes after 5 seconds. o_O
Is there a solution?
Thank You!

I got it fixed by using Opera browser...but still isn't working with Chrome or IE. -
Error message "Warning: Unresponsive Plugin" flash crashes when not connected to HDMI
EVERY time I try to open a web page that has a video like Facebook or Youtube, I get an error message saying "Warning: Unresponsive Plugin" and the flash ultimately crashes. I tried updating the flash plugin and the problem was not solved. I recently noticed that when I plugged my laptop to my HDTV via an HDMI cable that this problem was not occuring. As soon as I took out the HDMI cable and went to Youtube I got the error message. Is there an option that might need to be changed that's causing this problem? I tried opening those pages in Internet Explorer and got a very similar error. It's probably not a Firefox problem but I'm hoping to find out if there is something in my PC that needs to be modified for this error to not occur again.
Hi alrayes,
I suspect it is an issue with your video drivers.
If you go to your PC manufacturer's website (e.g. Dell, HP,...) and look up your model they should have links to download the drivers.
Alternatively, (assuming your PC does not have integrated graphics) you can go to your video card manufacturer's website, and they will have the very latest drivers.
Let us know if you figure it out.

Flash crashes when opening fla file
I've worked for quite some time on this file, and I will be quite heartbroken if I must do it again. :-(
OS: Windows 7 x64
Description: Flash "Adobe Flash CS5 has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem..."
Files that Windows decided were important:
C:\Users\Joseph\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4C33.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\Joseph\AppData\Local\Temp\WER9101.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\Joseph\AppData\Local\Temp\WERB286.tmp.mdmp
"Adobe Flash CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
This only happens when I open this specific fla file. I've attached it to this message, (download it here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1920393/map.zip (I didn't know which file to send so I sent all three that seemed to be related)) Really hoping someone can figure out how to save it! Bonus points if you tell me how this happened and how to avoid it in the future!
Thanks so much!Hi Joseph,
I've looked into your file and it looks like what ever you have on Layer 7 causes Flash to crash. Once I remove that layer then the file open without issue. If you want a copy of the restored file, please send me an email at [email protected] Make sure to include a link to this thread in your email so I can relate back to this message.
Thanks,
Quynh

I have been asked to write a servlet that accepts requests from multiple jsp pages. What would that exactly mean - just get requests from various jsp pages and deal with them appropriately or would there be more such as use of threads? Cheers Bal.
