Flash CS5.5 & Air 3.1.0.4880 don't include huge amount of external files

My project have included 72 files (36 pngs and 36 swfs) + 2 (main swf and main xml)
Totally 74 files.
Building from Flash CS5.5 return strange error with incorrect text codepage (charset).
When I remove 2 files, so I will have 70 my files and 2 default app file - project builded successful.
From commandline I can build without any errors any file count. But from Flash CS5.5 not more than 74 included files

Sounds like this is a Flash Pro issue, but I'm glad the command line is working for you.  Would you mind posting about this on the Flash Pro forums?
Thanks,
Chris

  • Flash CS5 Air 2.5 for Android Extension compatible phones

    After buying a brand new phone only to find out that it I can't port my Flash application to it and now needing to Ebay this phone to try and get some money back. And reading that there are alot of people out there in the same position as me. I thought I shart this list:
    ALL PHONES: Android 2.1 or below - Not supported
    HTC Aria (Australia): Android 2.1 - Not supported.
    LG Optimus One: Android Froyo 2.2 - Not supported (requires a processor with a vector fpu - vector floating point unit)
    Please if you have a phone that works post it below and I'll add it to this post. Thanks

    If you want to check that a device is compatible:
    1. Go to http://pdadb.net
    2. Find your phone.
    3. Click the CPU link.
    4. Make sure that it says ARMv7 next to 'Supported Instruction Set'.

  • Can I export Flash CS5.5 keyboard shortcuts to Flash CC?

    Flash CS5.5 keyboard shortcuts were located in Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Keyboard Shortcuts on my Mac and were an .mfx file.
    In Flash CC, they're located in Library/Preferences/Adobe/Flash/13.0/Shortcuts and are XML. Is there a way to convert the old shortcuts file into the new format? I have a lot of custom shortcuts and don't want to redo them if it's avoidable.

    no.
    but you can edit the html file to convert it into the xml format expected by flash cc.
    i'm not sure that's less laborious than just recreating a new shortcut file using flash cc though.  unless you're good with find/replace (especially if you can use a text editor that supports regular expressions), you're probably better off creating your shortcuts the standard way.

  • 3d in flash Cs5 / flash player 10.1 - where is the info on this?

    I have been hunting for documentation / news on any new 3d features in flash Cs5 / FP 10.1.
    On the CS5 intro video it mentions GPU acceleration is supported by FP10.1
    Anyone know where is the documentation on this?
    Does FP10.1 support a serious native 3D engine, or are we still going to be using another layer on top, like such as Papervision (impressive as Papervision and the others are - they are not taking advantage of GPU to do rendering).
    Grateful for any pointers to documentation on this.

    Thanks for the link to the online CS5 docs.
    Within the docs, the page that seems to come closest to answering the question is this: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flash/CS5/Using/WS3D3F757E-6EEB-4f6b-BC7F-BE8F94D329E1.html
    However that page seems to be simply an update of the CS4 page: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flash/10.0_UsingFlash/WS3D3F757E-6EEB-4f6b-BC7F-BE8F94D329E1.h tml
    So we might easily conclude that no changes have been made to 3D support in CS5 verses CS4.
    Currently (at least at the CS4 level) the only solutions for people wanting to 3d graphics in flash are things like Papervision3d, which are great, but use huge amounts of CPU resources because they don't take advantage of GPU capacity like DirectX / OpenGL / o3d etc do.
    However I have heard it said that Flash 10.1 and CS5 support GPU accelerated type 3D graphics (like DirectX or OpenGL or Google's o3d on the web).
    They even mention something about this in the introduction video to CS5.
    I think many developers have been waiting for this for a long time.
    So if it is true, I am surprise that there is not a big fanfare and lots of documentation about it.
    However I cannot find any.
    Does this functionality exist?
    If so where is the documentation?
    Many thanks for help, if anyone knows.

  • Upgraded to Flash CS5/Flash Player 10, Bad Stuff Happened

    Hey guys.
    So I finally finished my Flash game the other week after months of working on it and have currently been on the hunt for a sponsor.  Everything was going great and I've even had ideas for new games.  I didn't want to start them until I upgraded to CS5, so yesterday I bought/installed Flash CS5.
    This also appears to have updated my Flash Player from 9 (8?, I dunno what it was) to 10.
    Now, when I go play my .SWF of my completed game (which was made in AS3 in CS3) it's acting all crappy.  Certain functions aren't being called to stop sounds, the game isn't playing right in certain areas, etc...
    I'm *this* close to just smashing something against the wall.
    Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this / has this happened to anyone else?
    BONUS CRAZIES:  I opened up the CS3 .FLA in CS5 and saved it as the newer CS5 format.  I then exported a new .SWF and not only is it still acting crappy, now certain movieclip images have been completely swapped with other TOTALLY unrelated movieclips.  This absolutely makes no sense...
    Is there some way I should be saving this or something to get it to work the same no matter what the Flash Player?  I mean, I can see the game not working right if I was using an older Flash Player version, but a newer one?
    Thanks for any help.

  • Help - not able to add icons in flash cs5.5 ipa

    I have created a ipad app using flash cs5.5 which works great until I try to add the different icon fils sized (29x29, 48x48, etc) to the icon tab.  When I add all of the icons I receive teh below error message.
    Note that I was able to successfully create the .ipa file ONLY when I used just the 48x48 icon.  However, I was unable to load that ipa to apple using the Packager as I received another error message that the Small-File-50 icon needed to be a size of 72x72.
    I have tried to manually add the data to the xml file as well as tried different configurations (standard vs. high setting, iphone and ipad, ipad, etc.)  ,
    I also successfully created the app in 5.0 and was able to upload it to Apple using the packager so I believe the issue is being able to add the icons similar to how 5.0 lets you.  It appears in 5.5 the App Icons for publish directory is not created in the same way so perhaps that is the issue?  I even tried creating my own AppIconsForPublish folder but that did not work either.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you!

    I tried re-installing Java runtime and that did not fix the issue.
    I also loaded a fresh install on my Mac which also has the latest Java runtime and received the same error when I tried a brand-new program.  I used older icons that worked perfectly in the past.
    Has anyone been able to successfully create ipa's with all of the icons included or just the 48 pixel one similar to the issue that I have.
    As noted before when I successfully create the ipa with just the 48 pixel icon then I cannot load it into the apple store using packager.

  • Error message starting up Flash CS5 -- appears to be caused by welcome screen

    Hello,
    I am running windows 7 64-bit, flash player debug (10.1 from labs) and CS5 Master collection.
    I staretd noticing an issue today -- Flash Professional CS5 has begun to freeze on opening it. I eventually get the message "a script in this movie is causing flash player to run slowly. if it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?". At this point, I am not running any movies, I am just trying to open flash Pro CS5. When I choose to click "yes" (eg abort the script), then the buttons on the welcome screen do not work. When I click "no" (and do not abort the script) then flash crashes some time in the first 5 minutes of authoring.
    I also noticed that if I disable the opening page (check "do not show again") and reopen flash -- then no problem
    Any ideas on what is happening - anyone?
    Thank you

    Hello
    Just wanted to report back this was a simple issue -- it turned out to be a corrupted configuration file for Flash CS5. I called Adobe tech support and an engineer helped me to do the following. Please remember I am running windows 7 (64 bit), so this is what I did for that OS ...
    First I closed flash CS5 pro. Then I navigated as follows ... from the C drive ==> then to the users file ==> then to my user file ==> then to appdata (this is normally hidden, so just unhide files or type appdata as next drill-down in navigation window after your user file) ==> then to Local ==> then to Adobe ==> then to Flash CS5 ==> then to en_US ==> then to configuration. Then I renamed the configuration file (to configurationold)
    I restarted flash pro CS5 -- and problem solved.
    Thanks kglad and everyone

  • Importing swc file (created in FB4.5) in Flash CS5.5

    Hallo. I am trying to create a library inside flex. This library includes as files and visual mxml files. I am trying to make this swc communicate with my Flash CS 5.5 application but i can't do it. • Using .swc in Flash CS5

    I have a user who is having trouble using my library .swc in flash CS5.
    I do not have CS5 to help him out much; but the .swc does work fine with mxmlc from the Flex SDK, as well as under flashdevelop using the Flex SDK. And although not this exact version of the .swc I have previously found it work fine under CS4 and have other users with CS3 who do not have any trouble.
    under mxmlc, using the compiler options:
    --include-libraries $(NAPE_BIN)/debug_nape.swc
    There are no issues, and everything works as expected.
    The error my user is receiving is about an undefined reference to a specific class contained in the .swc (DummyNapeMain)
    This error appears also with mxmlc if I use the option --library-path instead of --include-libraries
    I repeat the test case here if it will help to find a working configuration for CS5.

         import flash.display.MovieClip;

                        b.shapes.add(new Polygon(Polygon.box(16,16)));
                        b.rotation = Math.random()*2*Math.PI;
                        b.space = space;
                   addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, function (ev:Event):void {
                        space.step(1/60,10,4);
                        debug.clear();
                        debug.draw(space);
                        debug.flush();
    the .swc is available at: https://github.com/deltaluca/nape/raw/master/bin/release/debug_nape.swc
    Thank you.

    I downloaded a CS5.5 trial to test this out myself.
    The error does indeed happen with the test case;
    my user found a hack to get around the error which is to do:
    DummyNapeMain;
    (just like that) to force the compiler to include it from the .swc and prevent the error occuring.
    Why is there no way in Flash CS5/5.5 to have the entire .swc included without flash trying (and failing) to determine what does, and doesn't need to be included?

    When I start Flash cs5 there appears a small box which tells me that it is importing files, where I didn't ask for. This happened after I imported a video animation from Photoshop Cs3. But now I just want to start a new project which it doesn't allow. I get only the flash sign and the fonts and than during the building workspace, i get the errorreport. Anyone knows what to do? Because it is not only frustrating, now I can not work on my website projects which I have to finish soon, aaaahhhhhaaaaaahhhhhhhh.
    Thanks for reading and hopefully someone knows something to help me out of this misery. Oh I reinstalled flash cs5 allready, but nothing changed!.......

    I would like to inquire how to use air 2.7 sdk in flash cs5.5.
    I have searched some solutions online and tried to copy air2.7 content in air2.6 folder(replaced the old one). I then did some efficiency tests but I don't see any improvements at all. Did I miss anything?
    Besides that, There's a display ratio problem if I publish the ipa in landscape mode. I can't interact with the program either. But it is not a problem if the ipa is published in portrait mode.

  • [Flash CS5.5 / Air 2.6] Movieclips not showing when .air app is run on Mac

    Hello,
    I created an application in Flash CS5.5 using Adobe Air 2.6. When I test the app on my computer (where it was written) everything works fine. When I publish the application and run the .AIR on my computer everything works fine as well. The issues comes about when I attempt to install and run my AIR application on a Mac operating system. In this case when the application runs some graphics are visible while some aren't. Some movieclips/buttons are visible while others aren't. One example of this is the buttons. None of the buttons in the entire application are visible. When the user clicks the area where the button should be the button click event is fired and the app acts accordingly (i.e. the main menu button which can't be seen still sends the user to the main menu). What could be the problem?
    I had thought of just converting the application to strictly Flash without AIR but I require AIR for the file system api as well as a couple other api components.
    Thank you in advance,
    Noah

    Hi Noah,
    I don't think I've run across this before.  I'd be willing to give it a try on my system if you'd like (you can email me at [email protected]).  Though I suspect this is a project specific issue, it also can't hurt to open this as a new bug over at bugbase.adobe.com.

  • Flash Pro CS5.5 and Flash 11/Air 3

    Hey guys. First time posting here.
    I recently read up on some news about Flash player 11 / Air 3 update coming soon and that Adobe is bringing full hardware-accelerated 3D graphics to both Flash and Air. Which sounds awesome . Buuut.. Here's the thing. Will these features be updated into CS5.5? as well as be available for CS6 (I'm just assuming it's coinciding with the release, I may be wrong). I've only just hopped on the CS bandwagon and bought my student liscence for CS5.5 and I really hope I don't regret not waiting for CS6 to buy instead.
    For all who have been using Flash Pro for a while now, how has it been for previous software updates? Did Air become available to those who had earlier versions of Flash Pro when they released a new version?
    Let me know
    Thanks

    Yes its available to those people who have previous versions. Just to change or update the folders (tweeking) for new AIR releases.

  • Please help: Nook Tablet app development with AIR/Flash CS5.5?

    Hello,
    I developed my first-ever iOS app using Flash CS5.5 (the app has stability issues, addressed in a separate thread).  Next on the list is Android deployment.
    Can anyone indicate if Flash CS5.5 can be used to develop Android apps for the Nook Tablet?  My problem is that the Android-based guidance I've read tells you to take your Android device and configure it for "USB Debugging."  The Nook Tablet has no such setting, unlike many other Android phones and tablets.  Basically, I need current step-by-step guidance on Android development, plus any guidance on anything different that needs to be done for the Nook Tablet.  Thank you for any advice.

    Hi, I can confirm that you can develop apps for the NOOK color and tablet. You must use Air 2.6 since the device is pre loaded with that version of air.
    Some devices dont support USB debugging, like my kindle fire however a more painful way of doing it is to publish out an apk and then manually load it on to your device either through a file manager of some sort or by emailing yourself the file and then installing it. Be sure to enable your device to accept unknown source files.
    I recently published a couple of apps to the NOOK store that I had only tested on an HTC phone and the kindle fire and they both passed the test so I believe the NOOK seems to behave very similar to most android devices and the kindle fire, same dimensions at least as the KF.
