Flash images are yellow

I am saving images as JPGs in highest quality in photoshop
cs3, but when referred to via xml in a flash movie, they display as
yellow.
but when i resave these using paint shop pro as a test to a
jpg, they are fine.
what am I doing wrong?

If Amber has indeed degraded picture quality for flash photography then I can only assume that a software fix would be the only solution. Maybe you will need to wait for the Nokia Black update but in the meantime you can try asking Nokia directly via their Nokia Care Facebook page.

  • Flash hijacking HTML links while images are loading

I've designed a slide show player using Flash and Actionscript 3.0 which loads several external images. While the images are loading, the HTML links on my page (outside of the Flash movie) don't work. As soon as all the images are loaded, the links start working again. It seems like the Flash player is hijacking the browser while the images are loading which can take the better part of a minute depending on my connection speed. I can click an HTML link once during the loading time and as soon as the images have loaded, the browser loads the new page (the one the HTML links to). Once all the images are in my Temporary Internet Files folder, this problem ceases to exist (since the images no longer need to be downloaded). It's only first-time viewers that will have this problem, but it's a pretty major problem.
To see what I'm talking about, go to:
    http://www.ericlindberg.com/indexTemp.html
Click the Images button after the "Loading..." animation disappears but before all the images are loaded. As the images load the thumbnails at the bottom of the Flash player go from 50% to 100% opaque. If  you click the "Images" button before all the thumbnails are 100% opaque, nothing happens. However, once they are all loaded and the thumbnails are all 100% opaque, the "Images" page loads. You can do the same thing with any of the subpages in the Images section of the site and get the same results.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have something similar on my site.

You might try using CSS rollovers instead of MM (javascript) rollovers.  Straight HTML links load fast and work immediately.

  • NEWBIE: Flash photo gallery! Images are pixelated:(

Greetings everyone. I created a Flash photo gallery using
gifs. While most of the images are acceptable visually, a bunch of
    them are quite pixelated.
I read online that I am supposed to use vector graphics
whenever possible, but not all images where created as vector
    graphics.
    I have a few questions:
If I create the image in illustrator, what format should I
save it as to be used in a Flash gallery? If I create the image in
Photoshop what format should I save it as?
Lastly, is it true that Flash will load vector graphics
    quicker than gifs?
Any info would be appreciated! Oh yeah, my site is
    inthemixgraphics.com

if you create an illustrator file, actually drawing with the
tools rather than just importing a bitmap and exporting it again,
it will indeed give you a vector file you can work with. you can
even export it as images that are readable by flash-- however,
you'll get the best looking stuff if the vector is basically
rewritten in flash. Import a (dot)eps file into flash, and break it
apart. Look at how the objects maintain their shape.
Now publish the thing and look at the bandwidth viewer. Is
the filesize much smaller than if you imported the .jpg? It should
be, but at least there is a way to check it.
I get the most pixalation from images when I'm forced to
scale .png's down by less than a perfect %. Its weird.
If you're loading externally, I'm not entirely sure the
correct process to bring an optimized vector in, as my thoughts are
that it would be the actual size of the .eps image (or .swf if you
    can export to that) itself.
--I hope this makes some sort of sense, and if it doesn't
    you'll have to forgive me.

I just bought an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 and the printed images look yellow. I calibrate my MacBook Pro monitor with a ColorMunki Display. I want to make sure my Lightroom print settings are correct.

This what I have been trying......  Maybe my eyes are screwed up or don't understand the process....
What I have been trying to do is squint and make the apple disappear by moving the sliders around in each step. Is that correct?

  • Image requests from flash gallery are not caching

The image requests that happen from a flash gallery are not getting cached in Safari browser, they get cached properly in IE, Firefox & Chrome.
For Example - Load the following gallery (http://www.monoslideshow.com/demo/) in Safari browser, and monitor the HTTP requests using Charles proxy tool or any other similar tool.
The images are downloaded during the 1st iteration of the gallery, which is expected, but even for the further iterations the images are downloaded from the source, rather than taking from the cache.

  • Some of Photo (JPEG)-compressed images by Flash Pro are not shown in AIR app (3.7/3.8)

Does anyone see this issue happening? In Flash Pro it's OK, but in AIR, it's broken.
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3558175
    Problem Description:
Some JPEG-compressed images in swc produced by Flash Pro CS6 is not shown in AIR.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Create a fla with Flash Pro CS6
    2. Put a png image in it and open the property of the image to make sure its compression option is Photo (JPEG)
    3. Produce an swc out of the fla
    4. Create an AIR app that shows the contents in the swc
    Actual Result:
    All images are shown
    Expected Result:
Some of the images are not shown (nothing is shown where they are supposed to be)
    Any Workarounds:
Use Lossless (PNG/GIF) for all images

i was able to get it to work from a suggestion in another thread: if you write a JSFL that goes through all your bitmaps and makes sure they do not uset he default compression of the document, but instead use custom compression (it can match the default however). this worked for me

  • Rendered images are not appearing on the webpage. works fine on IE. All plugins appear to be present includeing Adobe Flash

rendered images are not appearing on the webpage. works fine on IE. All plugins appear to be present including Adobe Flash

If that only happens on a specific page or domain then make sure that you do not block images on that domain.
See [[Images or animations do not show]]
*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (<i>Site Identification</i> icon) on the left side of the location bar.
*A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of that "Tools > Page Info" window.
*Select the first image link and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
*You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
*You can see all image exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions

This implies your site is not properly defined in DW.  Go to Site > Manage Sites.
Or simply go to your other installation of DW and export the site definition file from Manage Sites.
Save it to a flash stick or other removable drive.  Then import the STE file into your 2nd installation of  DW.

  • Why does my flash image viewer look different in firefox than in IE...

So I have created a horizontal spry bar that overlaps a flash image viewer slide show. When i load the page in IE everything works fine, but as soon as you open it in firefox it works improperly...you can hit refresh in firefox and sometimes it resizes the image I don't understand how that is possible....if you have any input it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You need to be aware of the limitations of the various browsers and make sure you use web-safe fonts and colors.....

  • Flash Image Gallery

I purchased the Flash Image Gallery Extension. Installed and
    created several beautiful working galleries.
In my image gallery (link below) there are Category titles
176, 186, etc.. When you click the titles it changes the thumbnail
pictures, while the main image remains the same.
Question: I'd like to click on a Category Title and have the
Main Fullsize image change as well. This would help visually to see
that you have in fact changed to a new category. As it is now, it
is not evident that you've changed category. You have to go to the
    tn images and click there.
Can you give me some direction on how accomplish this?
Perhaps a behavior - when category title is clicked on the main
image will appear for that category? Seems like a simple edit. Can
I do such an edit on a purchased gallery template file extension?

    Hi
These can be linked together - it will need you to change the

using the same 'Gallery Id' from the link (URL) in the 'Front

  • Flash image viewer, picture scale problem in CS3

Please someone help me. I have built a website 3 years ago, and I still have this problem. In CS3 I added a flash image viewer (slideshow.swf) as a slideshow to show gardens we have made. When you first visit the site and look at the pictures (wich are bigger than the viewer window because of picture quality issues) they don`t shrink to fit into the viewer window, you only end up seeing a fraction of them. But when they download and you go back to see them again a second later, they become the right size. It also swiches to the right size when the loop play gets back to the first pic again.
In the flash element properties I tried the different scale settings, and looked at other settings too but I couldn`t make it work.
I think making the viewer window as large as the pictures, would look odd. Maybe buying on other slideshow program to insert into dreamweaver would work.
If you would like to see the site its: tsugagardens.com , than look in the photo gallery and after the pics download go back with the back button and see the difference in the pics.
    Thank you for your efforts,

  • Client says can't see Flash images

Let me request your patience in advance - I don't have many
details to provide so I know the possibilities are wide open and
therefore difficult to pinpoint. Here goes.
We created an HTML website with some flash content and some
static jpeg images. My client's client says he cannot see the flash
    images. All I know is...
    -The client is on Win2000
-He uses a version of IE
-He does not get prompted to install ActiveX controls
-He says he does not see the image placeholders in place of
    the Flash animnations
What do I need to ask this individual in order to pinpoint
    the problem?
-what version of IE he's using and Flash player?
-does he have install Active X prompt deactivated?
    -anything else?
-is there something with Win2000 that might affect what's
    going on?
The person having difficulty is from a very large corporation
and no doubt has an IT dept. Any suggestions on going through
    them???
    Thank you

First I'd have the client visit this page and verify what
    version (if any)
    of Flash they have installed:

Can you send a link to the page you are trying to show the
    client?
