Flash inside of flash? needto hide source.

I am pulling template.php?ID=$1 through
flashmsg65876bb06a43aad.html through the use of my .htaccess
modrewrite
The result is a code
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="20"
height="20"
data="musicplayer.swf?song_url=msg65876bb06a43aad.mp3">
<param name="movie"
value="musicplayer.swf?song_url=msg65876bb06a43aad.mp3" />
</object>
Would there be a way in fiash to put this entire object in
another container?
I dont wish the path or filenames to the mp3s to be known.
Thank you

When adding a Button directly to the app I can solve the null problem by setting the default button styles, which are included in the SWC like this:
            var btn:Button=new Button();
            btn.setStyle( "upSkin", new Button_upSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "downSkin", new Button_downSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "overSkin", new Button_overSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "disabledSkin", new Button_disabledSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "selectedUpSkin", new Button_selectedUpSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "selectedDownSkin", new Button_selectedDownSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "selectedOverSkin", new Button_selectedOverSkin());
            btn.setStyle( "selectedDisabledSkin", new Button_selectedDisabledSkin());
            btn.label="Hello";
            btn.width=100;
            btn.height=22;
            airapp.addChild(btn);
What I really want to do is avoid the coding and make button and other component instances inside of MovieClips in Flash and include them in the SWC.
I can get components to work with Flash Professional Projects, but this is an ActionScript Project, so I need the SWC.

  • How to hide source code

    I was asked to develop a java program(like API) for other using. However, is there any way like in C++ DLL in Java that I can hide my source code? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Java can be decompiled easily, so the only way to hide source is to obfuscate the source. You can find obfuscators on this link http://mindprod.com/jgloss/obfuscator.html .

  • FLEX debugger not hitting breakpoints, because Flash sometimes embeds source file paths with wrong letter case?

    I was trying to figure out why breakpoints were working fine for source files in some locations but not others.  FlashDevelop's debugger (which I believe is actually the FLEXSDK debugger) was successfully connecting, tracing output, and hitting breakpoints in SOME files, but not others.
    I downloaded SWFInvestigator from Adobe Labs and checked the embedded debug paths for various source files to see what was going on.
    I discovered that files in which no breakpoints could be hit had their paths embedded in all lowercase (e.g. "c:\users\username\desktop\source\myproject" instead of "C:\Users\username\Desktop\source\MyProject").
    So I have two questions:
    First, is this a Flex debugger issue, or a FlashDevelop plugin issue? Letter case shouldn't matter or interfere with matching file paths in Windows.
    Second, what could possibly influence the letter case of embedded paths in a SWF output by Flash Professional (CS6), such that they are sometimes all lowercase and other times maintain the same case from the file system?  And why would that affect a debuggers ability to hit breakpoints in Windows 7?  I am compiling in multiple ways. Sometimes clicking Publish within Flash. Sometimes the file being published is not even open in Flash, and my JSFL script file is passed to Flash.exe containing embedded file paths to open the document. Usually, everything seems to work fine, no matter where I publish from, regardless of whether the FLA file is open or not. I'm honestly starting to believe that it depends on how the FLA was last opened in Flash Professional, as though it saves some sort of last access path internally and uses that to embed debug information.

    I don't think it's the source path in my case, because it's simply the dot ".", although I did check that because it would most likely influence the embedded paths.
    In the library path, I use relative paths exclusively, since all my individual project folders exist in the same "source" folder.
    Here's how I arrived at the conclusion that something more complex or "stateful" must be occuring:
    I publish my files with a one-click application, which does the following
    updates version timestamps (static constants) in specific files via regex match
    fills in a JSFL template with the FLA filename and writes the JSFL file to disk, then passes the JSFL file path to flash.exe for publication
    the JSFL then runs a command, which signals the main application via cross-process communication that the script has finished publishing
    That all makes it easy for me to update and publish multiple projects and deploy them, with a single click.  Here is the JSFL template I created, which has been drastically simplified since the days where it used to search to see if the file was open in Flash, select the document, and call publish.  Now it just uses the publishDocument method to silently publish files without opening them.
    var filepath = "FLAFILEPATH"; //template parameter: the URI (beginning with "file:///") of the FLA file to publish
    fl.publishDocument( filepath, "PUBLISHPROFILENAME" );
    FLfile.runCommandLine("COMPLETECOMMAND");
    The C# app replaces the strings in all caps with the actual values.  The COMPLETECOMMAND is actually populated with the application's own executable path, along with a "complete" switch, which lauches a 2nd instance, which handles the complete switch by broadcasting a signal over an interprocess channel and then terminates.  The main instance captures the signal, triggers a wait handle, and continues with publishing the next file.  Here is the core code for it:
    private string fillTemplate( string fla_directory, string fla_filename, string publish_profile_name )
        string fileuri = "file:///" + Path.Combine( fla_directory, fla_filename ).Replace( '\\','/' );
        return EmbeddedResources.OpenAndPublish //JSFL template file embedded as string resource
            .Replace( "FLAFILEPATH", HttpUtility.JavaScriptStringEncode( fileuri ) )
            .Replace("COMPLETECOMMAND", HttpUtility.JavaScriptStringEncode( "\"" + Application.ExecutablePath + "\"" + " -publishcomplete" )) //call self with -publishcomplete switch to signal main instance's publishCompleteSignal
            .Replace("PUBLISHPROFILENAME", HttpUtility.JavaScriptStringEncode( publish_profile_name ) );
    private static readonly string FLASH_PATH = @"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS6\Flash.exe";
    public void publish( string fla_directory, string fla_filename, string publish_profile_name )
        Program.publishCompleteSignal.Reset();
        string template = fillTemplate( fla_directory, fla_filename, publish_profile_name );
        string curdir = Environment.CurrentDirectory;
        string tempJSFLfilepath = Path.Combine( curdir, "temp_script.jsfl" );
        File.WriteAllText( tempJSFLfilepath, template );
        Process p = Process.Start( FLASH_PATH, tempJSFLfilepath );
        Program.publishCompleteSignal.WaitOne( 30000 ); //timeout after 30 seconds
    Here's where it gets interesting.  The FLAFILEPATH has ALWAYS been passed in as all lower case, yet this publication method has worked 99% of the time for hundreds of publish operations every day.  This applies to both the publication of the first SWC, which is referenced by the second published SWF (both were being published with lowercase paths), yet the paths for the main SWF were remaining in lowercase, while those in the referenced SWC were maintaining the correct case from the file system.
    So there may be any number of things going on here.  SWCs may be published differently than SWFs, such that SWCs always have the correct letter case for debug source files, regardless of how the source FLA project was opened.  Ensuring the path passed to publishDocument uses the right case definitely fixes the problem, but it doesn't explain why it usually worked, despite having always been passing a lowercase string.  The only variable I can think of in all of this is Windows itself or Flash, such as whether the document was open in Flash at the time the silent JSLF publishDocument command ran, and how that FLA was last opened (via shortcut, via "recent documents" in Flash, via recent documents in Windows.  It has to be something, even if it's something as obscure as how the folder path was last accessed in windows, although I strongly suspect it's just how (in terms of path case) the FLA was last opened in Flash.
    In any case, I'm happy that passing the right case to JSLF's publishDocument command fixes the problem, so I'm not going to spend any more time trying to figure out how opening the FLA in various ways could affect the embedded debug paths.  The only thing that should be done is to address how paths with the wrong case are handled when they do get embedded that way for whatever reason.  Perhaps the flex debugger should be updated to use case-insensitive matches in case-insensitive file systems, unless, perhaps, this is a FlashDevelop debugger issue after all.

  • Flash menu hides in web page

    Hi
    I am new to flash & have made a 3 level menu but 3rd
    level hide behind the table in web page
    any suggestion
    Thanks :)

    Well that is exactly what one would expect. Flash can simply
    not break out of it's box. So either make your flash area big
    enough to accomodate all content, or rearrange your menu to fit in.
    sorry for the bad news.

    On the Mac, select a text file (.TXT file) in the Finder. Choose File > Get Info. In the Open With section, select the editor you want to use for TEXT files. Click Change All.
    Sometimes, you have to do this with more than one TXT file, but it should work.

  • Flash Navigation & Links Source File Issue

    Hello Everyone,
    I am using a flash template for my site's navigation. I have edited it myself. With it, a URLS.txt file must be used to provide the links for the flash buttons. I have edited this file, and placed it all on my site.
    The problem? The links are recognized in IE6.0 and Firefox on a computer running Vista. As well, my computer (an Apple MacBook with Leopard) allows the links to click through with Firefox. HOWEVER, when I try to navigate with my Safari 3.0 I get a pop up programmed in to the flash file that no URL was specified.
    How the heck can this work on some browsers and not others? I obviously set it up correctly... but something is off.
    Anyway, please see for yourself;
    http://www.caseit.net
    Thank you in advance!

    My mistake Rob! I just checked, and I do have Safari 4.0.2 on a Mac. For me, when I click on the first navigation link "About CaseIT" I get a nasty javascript popup explaining that I didn't provide a link.
    I wonder why *my* Safari doesn't allow it to work, but yours does... as well as other browsers sometimes do. (My coworker can't get the links to work on IE6.0 at her work computer)    but it works on MY IE6.0 on my desktop. Strange.

  • Procedures/packages security. Hide source code?

    Hi.
    I was wondering if it is possible to hide the source code of a procedure for a user or avoid him to recreate it, but let him to execute it.
    Im doing a sandbox procedure who edit and run an external job. It works fine but I see a bunch of security holes. If any DB user who can execute that procedure can edit it too, they could run any shell command by changing the external job attributes. I could use credentials (11.2.0.2) and somehow limit the system user to specific commands but I want to fix the security hole by limiting the DB user instead limiting system user.
    This is the external job
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB(
    job_name => 'test',
    job_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
    job_action => '/bin/sh',
    number_of_arguments => 2
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_JOB_ARGUMENT_VALUE (
    job_name => 'test',
    argument_position => 1,
    argument_value => '-c'
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_JOB_ARGUMENT_VALUE (
    job_name => 'test',
    argument_position => 2,
    argument_value => '/bin/date>>/tmp/date.log'
    END;
    / And then, the procedure.
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE TEST_DATE_FILE ( new_file IN varchar2 )
    IS BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_JOB_ARGUMENT_VALUE (
    job_name => 'test',
    argument_position => 2,
    argument_value => '/bin/date>>/tmp/' || new_file
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.RUN_JOB(
                                    job_name =>             'test',
                                    use_current_session =>  TRUE
    END;
    SQL> conn scott/tiger
    Conectado.
    SQL> exec TEST_DATE_FILE('newfile.log');
    Procedimiento PL/SQL terminado correctamente.
    SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SYS.TEST_DATE_FILE ( new_file IN varchar2 )
    2 IS BEGIN
    3 DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_JOB_ARGUMENT_VALUE (
    4 job_name => 'test',
    5 argument_position => 2,
    6 argument_value => '/bin/rm -rf /tmp/*'
    7 );
    8
    9 DBMS_SCHEDULER.RUN_JOB(
    10 job_name => 'test',
    11 use_current_session => TRUE
    12 );
    13 END;
    14 /
    Procedimiento creado.
    SQL> exec TEST_DATE_FILE ('');
    Procedimiento PL/SQL terminado correctamente.
    It is possible to hide the source code of the procedure who edits and run the external procedure?
    There is any workaround or any idea of how can I prevent this?

  • How to insert a new line character inside CDATA tag in the source xml data file?

    values for form fields in the xml data file is contained inside CDATA tags which is an Unparsed Format.
    Eg: [CDATA[IBM-01 ~ DSHFSJDSJ ~ FGFGFJ, ~ VA 665665]] delimited by "~" char
    Actual o/p:-
    IBM-01 ~ DSHFSJDSJ ~ FGFGFJ, ~ VA 665665
    Expected o/p is like :-
    IBM-01
    DSHFSJDSJ
    FGFGFJ,
    VA 665665
    live cycle product does not interpret ~ as a newline character. Please suggest which character should be used instead inside CDATA section or if there is any other way to fix this?

    I do not have any problem while using IE's XML parser
    for XML+XSLT merging.That is because IE's parser does not implement XML correctly.
    But when I use JAXP's Transformer object, it does not
    preserve the new lines inside attribute values and
    converts those into white spaces.That is exactly what the XML specifications say should happen.
    >
    ----If you have text that contains newlines, you
    should put it in an element, not in
    ----an attribute.
    That would be my last solution. But I'd really hate
    to change my logic just 'coz JAXP is not capable of
    handling new lines inside attribute values. I may be
    wrong... but If IE can keep those then there has to
    be a way to do the same from server side merging....Sure. Write your own parser with the same bug in it. But you don't have any right to demand that other people supply you with parsers that work incorrectly.

  • Download and hide source url

    hi all,
    i am creating an web application andverification of pin number before a document is downloaded. After the pin is checked, i used
    response.sendRedirect("http://www,jajitech.com/docs/test.pdf");
    to download the document. It works fine but i dont want the source url to be shown anywhere.....pls how can i achieve this....
    Jaji

    Doesn't matter how urgent the need, you should do your own damn job.
    You should look into using an HttpURLConnection to make the request from your server and stream the response to the user. The user's end then only knows your server's address.

  • Flex is open source, what about adobe flash?

    Hi all,
    There is some confusion on our Flex team. We're aware of the
    Flex announcement that Adobe intends to release Flex under the MPL
    at some future date. Some of the developers on our team, however,
    believe the Adobe Flash plugin in browsers such as Mozilla are open
    source as well. After googling, I could not find any indication
    that adobe Flash is open source. We're aware of Gnash, etc, but our
    question relates specifically to Adobe Flash - is it open source or
    has there been an announcement that Adobe intends to open source
    Flash browser plugins? What, if anything, is open source concerning
    Flash?
    Thanks,
    iksrazal

    Flash will not be open source.

  • Help with first flash game?

    Hi. My name's Rory.
    I am an artist.
    http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=PimpOfPixels
    http://roaring23.cgsociety.org/gallery/
    I am learning action script and Flash so that I can make
    games.
    I am not a complete novice in programming. I am proficient in
    Java and in MaxScript (3DSMAX embedded language).
    I have been making some progress in action script and I have
    a functional (although incomplete) game in the works. You can view
    it here:
    http://secure2.streamhoster.com/~rlu...orniverous.swf
    The idea is it's a color game
    red beats green, green beats, blue beats red. Think paper
    scissor rock.
    The idea is to change the entire circle into one color.
    The graphics are place holders BTW.
    I am using FlexBuilder 2.0 and Flash CS3, and I have come
    across a problem not covered in either of my books.
    I'd really appreciate any help that you guys can offer.
    I have gotten this far on my own.
    My #1 question (and I have many more) is:
    How do you through Flash specify animation segments for a
    MovieClip Symbol?
    Notice how the red creatures occasionally open their mouths.
    I want to have a walk, an attack, an absorb, and a bounce animation
    on the same timeline and trigger the appropriate one depending on
    which color the creature collides with. I do not know how to go
    about this problem. I’ve just been trying to get the walk
    animation to loop without playing the attack animation so far.
    I've tried frame-labeling in flash, with scripts on the key
    frames of a second layer that specify when to stop or repeat the
    animation... No dice.
    I have a symbol named RedShot in the library of a flash
    project named "graphics"
    In my timeline I have 2 animation segments, and I have a
    second layer denoting two corresponding frames named "walk" and
    "attack" from the properties menu.
    On the final frames of the animations I have scripts.
    Code:
    gotoAndPlay("walk");
    and
    Code:
    gotoAndPlay("attack");
    respectively.
    Im my library I have linkage options specified as such:
    Class:RedShot
    BaseClass:flash.display.MovieClip
    export of actionscript#CHECKED
    export on 1st frame#CHECKED
    on the main stage of my flash project I have actionscript for
    2 functions:
    Code:
    function walk(){
    red_shot.gotoAndPlay("walk");
    function attack(){
    red_shot.gotoAndPlay("attack");
    I export the project and the opened window has the "walk"
    animation looping properly.
    In my FlexBuilder project I embed the symbol
    Code:
    //Inside class global variables:
    [Embed(source="../graphics.swf", symbol="RedShot")]
    public var RedShot:Class;
    private var _shot:MovieClip;
    Code:
    //and in my buildShot function:
    _shot = new RedShot();
    addChild(_shot);
    When I build the project the characters appear, and they
    animate. The only trouble is that there are no breaks in the
    animation. The animation loops right through the frames where I
    have specified that the animation should "gotoAndPlay" from a
    different part.
    What's weirder is that I can call
    Code:
    "gotoAndPlay("attack");"
    without an error and it will go to and play from that point.
    The only trouble is that it will begin to loop the entire animation
    again without stopping at the gotoAndPlay events stored in the
    frames of the timeline.
    It seems like all embedded actions are ignored, add I can't
    think of another way to controll the animation.
    Any thoughts?

    After hours of searching the internet I finally got this
    blasted question figured out.
    How to you export a symbol from Flash for use in a Flex
    Builder project without destroying actionscript stored within the
    frames of the Symbol's timeline?
    That's a long winded way of saying: "In FlexBuilder, how do
    you control MovieClips from Flash". I'm trying to make games, and
    this was a particularly important question for me :).
    Here's how:
    1) You need a hotfix from Adobe.
    [HTML]http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401493&sliceId=2[/HTML]
    This allows Flash CS3 to export a SWC file.
    2)You have to set the linkage properties for your various
    symbols in the flash library panel.
    a)right click on symbol in library panel
    b)choose "linkage"
    c)"Class:" = (pick a name)
    d)"Base class:" = flash.display.MovieClip;
    e)"Export for ActionScript" = CHECKED
    f)"Export in first frame"=CEHCKED
    3)If you want to have multiple segmented animations as I
    certainly did you'll want to create frames and actionscripts within
    the symbols timeline to define where these animations are.
    a) in the symbol's timeline make a second layer. We'll name
    that layer "labels" for the sake of not having this get too
    confusing.
    b) on that layer create a new frame for each of the animation
    segments that you'd like to define and stretch them to the length
    of the corresponding animations.(I'm assuming that you have a
    keyframe animation on the 1st layer... otherwise what's the point
    of all this :P?)
    c)in the properties panel name the frames in the "labels"
    layer accordingly ie. "walk" "run" shoot" etc.
    d)Define whether the various animations play once or loop by
    adding a script to the last frame of the animation. If you want the
    animation to loop add
    [CODE]gotoAndPlay("name-of-the-animation");[/CODE]
    if you want the animation to play once and stop add
    [CODE]stop();[/CODE]
    if you want the animation to play once and then return to a
    different animation add
    [CODE]gotoAndPlay("name-of-a-different-animation");[/CODE]
    4) now you can export the symbols to an SWC file. Note: you
    do not get this option unless you have installed the hotfix.
    [HTML]http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401493&sliceId=2[/HTML] .
    a)rightclick on a symbol in the library panel
    b)choose "exportSWCfile..."
    c)export the file to a logical place such as the root of your
    FlexBuilder project.
    5) Now you have to tell flexbuilder about the new SWC file.
    Note: Once this file is added to the FlexBuilder library you can
    instantiate classes from it as though they were included using the
    "include" function.
    a)Right clicking on the root of the project in the Navigator
    view.
    b)going to properties.
    c)Going to library path. (2nd tab)
    d)and pressing the "Add SWC" button
    Now you're done and you can instantiate any of the symbols
    from your library while preserving any actions from your symbols
    timeline just as though you had imported it as a class from a
    typical library.
    Sweet huh?
    Thanks to the countless people and internet resources I found
    on the subject. Hopefully it will be easier for anyone who finds
    this post.

  • New to flash actionscript, making a game.

    Code:
    gotoAndPlay("walk");
    and
    Code:
    gotoAndPlay("attack");
    respectively.
    Im my library I have linkage options specified as such:
    Class:RedShot
    BaseClass:flash.display.MovieClip
    export of actionscript#CHECKED
    export on 1st frame#CHECKED
    on the main stage of my flash project I have actionscript for
    2 functions:
    Code:
    function walk(){
    red_shot.gotoAndPlay("walk");
    function attack(){
    red_shot.gotoAndPlay("attack");
    I export the project and the opened window has the "walk"
    animation looping properly.
    In my FlexBuilder project I embed the symbol
    Code:
    //Inside class global variables:
    [Embed(source="../graphics.swf", symbol="RedShot")]
    public var RedShot:Class;
    private var _shot:MovieClip;
    Code:
    //and in my buildShot function:
    _shot = new RedShot();
    addChild(_shot);

    2)You have to set the linkage properties for your various
    symbols in the flash library panel.
    a)right click on symbol in library panel
    b)choose "linkage"
    c)"Class:" = (pick a name)
    d)"Base class:" = flash.display.MovieClip;
    e)"Export for ActionScript" = CHECKED
    f)"Export in first frame"=CEHCKED
    [CODE]stop();[/CODE]
    if you want the animation to play once and then return to a
    different animation add
    [CODE]gotoAndPlay("name-of-a-different-animation");[/CODE]
    4) now you can export the symbols to an SWC file. Note: you
    do not get this option unless you have installed the hotfix.
    [HTML]http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401493&sliceId=2[/HTML] .
    a)rightclick on a symbol in the library panel
    b)choose "exportSWCfile..."
    c)export the file to a logical place such as the root of your
    FlexBuilder project.
    5) Now you have to tell flexbuilder about the new SWC file.
    Note: Once this file is added to the FlexBuilder library you can
    instantiate classes from it as though they were included using the
    "include" function.
    a)Right clicking on the root of the project in the Navigator
    view.
    b)going to properties.
    c)Going to library path. (2nd tab)
    d)and pressing the "Add SWC" button
    Now you're done and you can instantiate any of the symbols
    from your library while preserving any actions from your symbols
    timeline just as though you had imported it as a class from a
    typical library.
    Sweet huh?
