Flash Installation Trouble !

Now I downloaded Adobe Flash CC Professional trial version to try the Android App , and I found many troubles while I was trying to install it on my PC.
my PC spec. :
Intel Core i5
6G Ram
2G V.Card AMD
1T HDD
I was trying to install it on Windows 8.1 pro , but I had many troubles; then I tried Windows 10 [ note : my PC can't install earlier version of Windows like Win 7 ].
The Flash installation takes like forever and it is never completed.
it takes too long time at this step :
is there any solution ?

i found the log file but i don't understand what is the problem yet , it is written :

  • Flash Installer

Hi, I've had some major troubles with the flash installer. It
just doesn't run on my system. I'm using Windows XP and it tried to
install, takes around 30 minutes, then completes, putting an 'X'
(red cross) by all of the adobe flash installer products, without
    any explaination.
I tried re-running it just now and get : "For installation to
continue the following drive(s) need to have additional space freed
    C:\268.3 MB Additional Space Required"
Which is nonesense because I have several gigabytes free on
the C:\ driver and at least 2 gigabytes free on the remaining two
drives. The installer file I downloaded was about 500 meg or so.
There is no way in hell that will decompress to more than 2GB no
matter what algorithm you are using.
Getting frustrated, starting to wonder if Adobe really know
what they are doing with the Macromedia products.

Well, you haven't provided enough info. What version of Flash
are you trying to install? Is the stand-alone version of Flash, or
is it part of their suite of products? If you are trying to install
anything CS3, you need to have any and all CS2 uninstalled and/or
any trial versions of CS3. Try Adobe's Clean Script at

  • Flash Installer opens Internet Explorer instead of default browser

Every time I have installed Flash or installed an update, the installer concludes by opening my Internet browser to display its "Thank you and enjoy Adobe Flash Player. Here is another product that might interest you..." advert. The trouble is that it always opens it in Internet Explorer rather than my default browser. I never, ever use Internet Explorer since I consider it a major security risk and indeed the only time I ever see it is when I update Flash....
I've always wondered why the Flash Installer does this - every other program that opens a browser manages to open the default one, so how come Adobe's coders can't seem to manage it?

It typically opens the default browser regardless of which browser you're actually using.  I'm wondering if there's a funky registry key or something that confuses things for your system.
Either way, we usually launch the default system browse, which is not necessarily the browser you started the installation with.  This is a long-standing bad experience, and something that I complain to the team that makes the installer about on a regular basis.  Everyone involved recognizes that the behavior is less than ideal, but it's a fundamental design problem and it's not something that can be addressed with a simple fix.  It *is* very much on the radar as something that we want changed, and I'm pretty sure that it will get resolved in the installer over the long-term.
In the meantime, if you would like to avoid the Flash Player upgrade process entirely, Google Chrome includes Flash Player as a built-in component.  There's nothing separate to download from Adobe, and all the updates are made available directly through Chrome's update mechanism.

My Mac has stopped playing you tube asking me to update flash player trouble is it is asking me for a password and I don't ever recall setting a password for this mac …!!!!

When the Mac was setup you had to create an administrative password.and account.  Yo have to sign into that account to install apps/plug-ins like Flash. To reset that password.

  • Flash Installer cannot download. "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed."

Flash Installer cannot download. Finally get the message,  "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." I already uninstalled the old copy, now I have no Flash Player.

My issue was identical.... days of frustrating downloads and initializing but no installation........ UNTIL I chose to not use the default installer and chose 'Save File'. Now I have the latest Flash installed in OS 10.8.5 no problems !!
This time a long download of 16MB arrived in the downloads folder that actually worked.
Prior to this, all downloads were around 1.6MB and there was no .dmg in the package.
I got my download under where it says "Still having problems?"
    Hope this helps you.

  • Flash installer is very poor show.

I doubt anyone will listen - but just want to add my feedback to others who have been upset by how flash installs updates.
I was asked to update by flash in the big black box on start up.. did so and it downloaded Macafee without my permission.  Installing this way does not appear to give you any options to disable this installation option.
Unprofessional behaviour in my opinion.  Following the tactics of malware sites is not acceptable.  Paints your whole company in a bad light being associated with this.

Thanks for the clarification.  This definitely is not the intended behavior.  I've seen similar complaints, and we take them seriously and do our best to investigate them.  We have around 1.2 billion users, but I've seen maybe a couple dozen complaints about this over the last couple years.  A failure rate of 0.001% at Flash Player scales translates to 100k+ people, and I'm not seeing the kind of overwhelming response that you would expect if this was a widespread issue.
We get a wave of questions with each update, and we usually get a handful of this kind of complaint for each release.  I've personally spent a bunch of time trying to recreate a scenario where this would happen, and I haven't been able to do it.  I've worked with a couple people that were experiencing this to try and recreate the problem on their machines as well, but the issue has never reproduced for anyone I've talked to.  My guess is that it's timing dependent.  When we publish the update, we don't just put it on one server.  It goes out to a Content Distribution Network, composed of thousands of geographically distributed servers.  It takes about an hour for the update to fully propagate across the entire CDN, and because of the transitory nature of the symptoms, my guess is that if you happen to hit the update at just the wrong time, there's a half-updated server state that somehow causes the client to grab the wrong payload; however, the payload with and without the bundled offers have totally different names, so it's not obvious from looking at the code as to why this would happen (and we've looked carefully).
Anything that you can tell me in terms of specifics about your system would be useful in helping to put a picture together of what's happening.  In particular the Operating System and version, and the browser(s) that you have installed.

  • Annoying Problem - Flash Installation

Basically my problem is this. Whenever I go on certain
websites, sometimes the flash content works and other times it
doesn't. I tried to reinstall Flash Player 8 but it says it's
already installed, but then when I go to view flash content on
another site it says I do not have Flash Player. I went into
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and I removed Flash Player 8
(Which strangely there seemed to be 2 of, maybe where the problem
lies), but then I come back to the website to try install it and it
    says it's already installed.
I'm a bit confused wondering why it says I have it installed
despite just removing it myself, but I went and tried another site
and it's still not working. I don't really know what to do as the
installer on the site says I have the player, but everywhere else
says I don't. But there is no way of downloading the player from
the site and installing it on my PC from a client-side file from
what I can gather, so I have to use the installer on the site which
is annoying as I feel the site way is not actually installing
anything at all. I don't get the ActiveX alert from the site
either, but I'm sure that's because I already have it, as this is
    only a recent problem.
I'm currently using IE 7.0.5346.5 (Beta 2) on Windows XP Home
(w/ SP2), but I updated my IE to try and counter the problem but it
didn't work. When I use Netscape 8.0 the flash content seems to
show up perfectly and I have no problem, but I prefer using IE to
    the very slow-loading Netscape.
I read about a similar problem on here but it seemed be about
the Safari browser and not IE, so hopefully somebody knows/can help
with this? I'd be eternally greatful for any solution anyone can
    provide.

    Hi Dave,
I've got a confirmation that my VBScript is appropriate :
    http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=184&threadid=11470 48&enterthread=y
BTW, if you use Norton as AntiVirus, you'll have an alert
    because of
the access to registry and files inside the script.
    http://docxp.mvps.org/b1n/FlashRepair.exe
This script can't repair ALL flash problems, but i think it
    is
fine for yours. On a fully functionnal Flash installation, it
    can't
    break anything.
What the script is doing ?
    0) Check I.E. user langage for french or english use in
    dialogs
    1) Close all open Internet Explorer windows
    2) change registry rights (to allow 3) or re-installation) on
    flash related keys
    3) register latest flash ocx (if found)
    4) remove lock of flash CLSID by "kill bit"
FYI : this script is locked for XP use only.
You want to check code before launching ?
No problem, just unzip the .exe and open vbs file with
    notepad
Ini file is for registry rights change.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    ~Jean-Marc~

The new Flash installer from Adobe still isn't working, right? We get the "installation failed" messages, and we're awaiting Adobe's follow-up on it?

    AdmrlLocke wrote:
Adobe Acrobat 8 has two problems on my iMac. The lesser problem comes when I go into the Print command and click "Preview." I get a message that says that Preview isn't supported.
Preview is not supported because building a preview of a print job under OS X involves creating a .PDF file. You already have a .PDF file open if you're using Acrobat, so there's no point creating a new one.
The greater problem just cropped up as I was writing about my problems with Quicktime and Real Player: Acrobat tried to update itself and then gave me a message that says, "Cannot overwrite file /Users/(myname)/Documents/Update5/AdobeUpdater/acrobat8pro-en_US/AUMProduct.dmg .
That's not a problem with Acrobat. The system is saying that you have a file named AUMProduct.dmg in place already, and you don't have permission to update it. You need to change the permissions on that file so that you can update it, or to use an account which has update permission. Or it might just be locked and you need to unlock it. Locate it using the Finder (you have the complete path to the file listed above) and see what permissions are on the file and whether or not it is locked.
You might also just put the entire Update5 folder into the Trash and try updating again.
The file maybe be locked or you may not have sufficient access rights. Please make sure you have write access to this file." Can anyone help? Thanks.

  • Where do you get the offline Flash installer?

Seriously, where can you get the current offline Flash
installer? This should be easily accessible, but the download page
    is void of the info.

Amen, saving flash player and then loading it offline may
help some of the install problems.

What version of Mac OS X? Be aware that Studio 8 is quite old and may not be supported on later versions of Mac OS X. In fact the reference to <Flash Carbon Player> suggests this, as Carbon is being deprecated (it was a way to bridge the old pre-mac os x codebases and bring them over to Mac OS X). It may be time to upgrade/update your software.

MacBook Pro OS X version 10.9.4   Safari version 7.0.5
The downloading of the flash installer is successful, but when it is launched, the installer automatically crashes.
Apple has told me that the program re-runs through the coding hundreds of times until it crashes. Some applications that require adobe flash do work (some youtube videos) but 75% of the time do not.

  • Skype and Adobe Flash - forcing flash installation...

We use Skype in our company for communication. Since last Skype update many users started reporting "strange windows popping up, asking for permission to install adobe flash". It seems it's Skype that causes these windows to pop up. Most of our users don't have permissions to install anything. And also we dont use adobe flash plug-in - we enjoy the one built-in in Google Chrome.
Is it really Skype "forcing" us to use flash player? I'm sure using word "forcing" is appropriate! These windows pop-up every few minutes, very annoying.

I confirmed it by killing the Skype process - flash installation popups stop appearing. They come back when Skype is launched again (after logging in). I believe it first started with version 6.20.64 or maybe with 6.21 - one of the latest updates. I'm not controlling the Windows Update in our company (set to automatic), so it;s hard to tell 100% with wich version it started - also not every workstation updates Skype automaticaly, sometimes i'm required to do it manually, even if Winows Update is working properly. But it is off-topic

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only
*a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox
*On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.
'''''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. ''''' If you did, in Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash ''(version)''". If "Shockwave Flash" is there and is disabled, click the "Enable" button.
Check your Plugins often --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
*only the most popular/used Plugins are known by this page
*page will detect only installed, '''''enabled''''' Plugins
    '''<u>Install or update Adobe Flash</u>'''<br />
#'''<u>Using Firefox</u>''', go to the following link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later. Un-check any items on that page that you do not want to download (i.e., "McAfee Security Scan Plus":
#When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
#Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
#*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
#*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
#Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
