Flash paper not resizing in IE

I am loading my flashpaper in a movie clip using the standard
code (
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashpaper/articles/import_flpaper2_03.html).
The flashpaper is located on a different subdomain than the
swf doing the loading, so I added
"System.security.allowDomain([flashpaper.domain.com]);"
The flashpaper loads, but will not resize.
I added some debugging and it looks like the
"getIFlashPaper()" is not able to detect the flash paper.
Works in Firefox, but not in IE.
I wonder is this related to the 9.0.115 relase?
Can anyone provide any info here?

Flash Paper not working after IE7 Upgrade

Hey All,
I am running CFMX 7.02 that uses flash paper to print out
result pages. Everything has been workiing great until I just
upgraded to IE7. When I click on my print links the flash paper
pages open up blank. I can change the format to PDF and it works,
but I am concerned that many of my users may not have the PDF
softrware installed. Does anyone know what may be causing the
problem? I can open up these same pages on a machine that runs IE6
with no problems.

Flash is not resizing

i imported a .swf into a designated div, and set the .swf dimensions at 100%, yet it doesn't completly sit in the the borders, i also tried changing the dimensions to the same as the div and it doesn't change either, is this a problem inside dreamweaver or the flash file?

my problem is that, my flash is not actually changing to 100% in height and width, that i specified. the .swf is just staying at it's size and getting cut off,
the code i have is i don't need it to scale by it's self i just need it to fit inside the div, but even if i just resize the flash to the same dimensions as the boarder it still doesn't resize,
i tried the scaling options but the proeblem still persist,

Flash Paper not working correctly

After doing a newsletter in MS Word I converter to
FlashPaper.
The problem is none of the photos nor graphics show up in the
FlashPaper.
Have tried this over 3 or 4 times now with no luck. Even
removed and reinstalled FlashPaper. No luck.
I purchased this program after watching some of the demos via
the Adobe Website but it sure does not work the way the videos
show.
Very disappointed with this program.

In case anyone else comes across this, the issue is that Flash forms via ColdFusion 8 and 9 simply do NOT work in WebKit-based browsers (Safari and Chrome). This code works fine in Firefox and IE. I did some searching and apparently this is a known issue that others have experienced as well.

Flash paper not working

i haven't been able to get FlashPaper to work at all. No
matter whether i try to use flashpaper or pdf conversion features,
the process seems to hang and never finishes. Very disappointed at
the moment.
Any advice is welcome...

A solution!!!!!!!!!
Here are the steps to follow to get FlashPaper 2 working
again if you are having the same problem I was.
The solution is to re-install FlashPaper from the Command
Prompt:
On Windows, go to: Start > Run.
Type cmd and click ok to invoke the Command Prompt.
Type cd C:\program files\macromedia\FlashPaper 2\i386, click
Enter.
Type ..\fpdriversetup.exe –ui, click Enter.
This will run the old driver install executable. It's very
important to be in the i386 folder, and run the exe which is in the
parent folder by preceding the command with ..\ as shown above.
Type exit to exit the Command Prompt.
I contacted Adobe and was suppose to be emailed again. I
received a link to the case I filed but there was nothing attached.
Adobe's customer service failed me yet again! I tried replying to
their email but it got sent back. So I looked around on the site
and found these steps. I followed them and my FlashPaper 2 is now
working. I am so ecstatic right now. The link below should take you
to these same steps within the Adobe website. I hope this solves
all of your problems as well!

The pdf security is not working in Flash Paper

Is anyone facing a similar problem.
The pdf security if applied with a passsword to select the
text & graphics, printing, etc does not work. It selects any
and every text in flash paper and pdf. Does anyone know how can one
prevent to copy any text or graphics ...

I have the same issue. My phone says the files are corrupt and they stay corrupt if I forward then from my phone. It like the phone checks for something in the PDF, when it never did before.

When Printing Flash Paper from Acrobat Professional, Flash paper is not able to search!

When I try to print a flash paper file from adobe acrobat professional, it prints, and it creates the flash paper file. The flash paper file is no longer search-able though, when I try searching, it just says "not found".
The original PDF is search-able, and I have created the flash paper files before and they were search-able, but now they are not. Is there something I'm missing? Please let me know!

I havent exported any videos in the past from Flash. The movie is around 45 seconds and the size is 470KB.
I tried both, the memory and the hard drive.
In the attached image you can see the settings and in the other image you can see the progress bar that remains without something to happen.
I dont mind what type of video to export it can be also .avi but again I have troubles there. It is very large and the animation is distorted.
The animation consist from two scenes. The first one can be exported without any problem but the second one cannot be exported. May be because it has some masks layers and guide layers?

I would like to know how I can do

(I don t want the audi car to become smaller and smaller
when you make the window smaller it is why I would like
my file flash.swf always at the same size (same height and same width)
and the audi car always at the center of the flash file)

I am trying to be more clear lol:
I would like to have my flash.swf with a height of 350 px but I would
like to have my flash.swf always occupying all the space in the width
between the left side and the right side of the window whatever is the
size of the window and in the same time I would like to have
my car always at the width-center of my flash.swf so at the width-center of the window and always at the same size(my car).

I am having the same problem. When I start the install from
the install disk, installer starts but doesn't allow any right
clicking. It just starts the process. So how do you do this?

Flash paper setSelection

Hi,
I just want to load a flash paper into my flash file. I got access to Flash API, I could resize and search text.
But i could not setSelectionText for that.

Q1). I have converted nearly 10 Docs to swf using FlashPaper 2.0.
And I want to externally load (runtime) these docs into a Main file (fla). And I will publish the main file as EXE.
Now, Coming to the main part. I could resize the loaded docs using "setSize" flashpaper API
(IFlashPaper interface).
But using the same IFlashPaper interface i could not "setTextSelectionRange(sel:SelectionRange, skipBroadcast:Boolean):Void;".
Q2). Do I have any option to change the colour of text for the selected texts??
Using selection tool in FlashPaper, I select a range of text. And I should have a button to change the colour of that text (selected).

Flash Paper Toolbar Buttons

I use Flash Paper 2 regularly to print documents from
Microsoft Access. In Word and Excel there is a toolbar button for
Flash Paper but none in Access, and there is nothing available in
the list of tools to add to a custom Access toolbar.
Is there any way to get a toolbar button for Flash Paper in
other applications such as Access?

Thanks Urami! This worked. However, there is still one set of
buttons that still don’t work. These buttons are programmed
to open a new window that is a specific size and has all the
toolbars and menu bars turned off. The html page that opens in the
window contains an swf file that runs a video.
Again, it works perfectly over the Internet or when I test
the html page from Dreamweaver on my PC, but the window will not
open when the button is pressed if the program is running from a
CD.
This program was originally created with Studio MX 2004 with
Flash Professional. With that version, the CD worked on Windows
2000 PCs but not Windows XP. We re-published the entire program
with Flash Professional 8. Once I fixed the file names as you
suggested, everything works except the buttons that open a child
window. Now these buttons in the Version 8 program don’t work
on a CD running on Windows 2000 either.

I got this html code out of a reference book several years
ago and we use it all the time to open child windows from parent
windows.
I tried other code that I got out of an ActionScript book and
from the Help files, but I can’t get any of it to work at all
(not even from Dreamweaver).
Do you have any other suggestions for opening a specifically
sized child window that will run a Flash movie?

Use a different device.
Adobe did not develop Flash for iOS devices and has ended all Flash development for all mobile devices.
You could try a different browser from the App store such as Skyfire or iSwifter.

Components will not resize correctly in Catalyst

I am completely new to Flash Catalyst (any and all versions). I am currently using Photoshop CS5.5 to design and Catalyst 5.5 to import and translate into a flash project. I recently picked up a job creating an interactive application for a college campus. I have attached my two project files for anyone who can help to view to see what is wrong. I have also attached inline screenies for those who cannot/will not download.
Here is my problem: I created the attached PSD in Photoshop with what I thought were the correct layers and groups/folders. I am hoping to achieve the following effect: when a user rolls over the purple buttons, multiple similar copies of that button that are initially hidden beneath the visible one popup in sequence above the rolled over purple button.
Ex. State 1:
Animation/Action Sequence to the following:
The purple popup objects will have their own text content and will be buttons themselves that a user clicks to change to a different state with more specific information.
Not only am I unsure of how to create such animation/action sequence, my purple components (whether I actually convert them to components in Catalyst or not) will not resize correctly. NOTE: I did click the resizable option when importing the PSD into Catalyst. The following effect occurs both ways. I add constraints to all objects by selecting all, right clicking, and choosing add constraints to all; the following occurs when stretched inwards using the resize test handle:

When viewed using CTRL+Enter, the application is nowhere near resized in the browser window. I must be missing something, especially being new to Catalyst. I tried flattening the image in Photoshop, which obviously allowed the image to be easily resizable in Catalyst and the test browser window. However, I cannot use my separate elements when flattened; flattening defeats the purpose of Catalyst if I'm not mistaken.
Any guidance?

Hi Martin - Those are really good questions! I did check and the image is uploaded. I assume I can see the image in my one browser because of the cache since I could not see it on several computers that I had never pulled the site up on before.
And actually I have it working now. Nancy had a good idea to check to see if I saved it as CMYK instead of RGB. When I went to go open the file on my computer Photoshop and Fireworks had an error in opening it. They had a problem opening the one I downloaded from the ftp too. It just looks like somehow the file became corrupted! Not sure how, but that seems like what the problem was since I have a new image up there now and it's working fine again.

Loading Landscape PDF in flash Paper

I am using Flash Paper to load different pdf's in flash but i
am facing one problem that once i convert any pdf that is on
landscape size it will rotate the pdf in swf and it looks like a4
size so any idea how to fix it

It's not really a blind spot. Adobe obviously cares about
both
products, and in fact, both products can be intermixed in AIR
(Adobe

PDF directly
into a Flash movie. For one, Flash Player only supports a
limited subset of
the HTML specification -- a subset that, for better or worse,
excludes table
cells, and (importantly) the <embed> tag. But even more
importantly, Flash
Player doesn't support the Acrobat plugin. Your browser does,
which is why
you're able to embed a PDF into an HTML document. The browser
can display
the PDF because you've installed the Acrobat browser plugin
(or ActiveX
control). Flash Player itself has no such plugin.

If you still have Flash Paper installed, you can keep right
on using it!
Its output -- SWF files (that is, Flash movies) -- is 100%

embedding another Flash movie.

Do anyone know how to hide some functions in the menu bar of
flash paper? As I want to show a swf file(converted from pdf) on
the website without printing function. How can I do it?
